My mobile station is exactly as I wanted and Im looking forward to setting up my home ham shack using HRO. The prices were comparable and the shipping was speedy. Highly recommend!

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The guys that work there really know their stuff. They have been hams for decades and are working at the store for the love of their hobby. Ken is particularly good. He showed me a picture of himself in the ”Ham Radio Club at his school from 1967. He could retire but is still active, imparting his knowledge to newbies like me, and I couldnt be more grateful. The prices for the big ticket items are always cheaper than on Amazon. And Amazon will never be able to provide the support of HRO.

Disappointed to drive over an hour to find them closed to in-store shopping (pick up and deliveries only). Per website store should have been open.

I started getting into the hobby and my curiosity led here. I called in and they suggested equipment. I didn’t want to buy base models and gave them room for sound advice. Taking their advice was the right move. I purchased great equipment, go licensed in the hobby, and am enjoying features I never would have considered if I didn’t accept their counsel. These places are few and far between. They could get by on that alone. They are fairly knowledgable. Prices are as good as that big online radio shop, and, they always seem to have in stock either what I want, or, a suitable alternative. Ive dropped a few thousand there this year.

Drove four hours to get there from Long Island and well worth it. Roy took time to help me pick out an hf rig and bench tested another I brought with me. Couldnt ask for better service. Planning to call tomorrow to order more things. Or maybe even drive there again this weekend.

Im not a licensed ham radio operator but I can tell you when my daughter and I visited this store give people were extremely friendly and open to educate us on ham radio technology as well as point us in the right directioneducational rise and even gave us demonstrations of their equipment.. many things to choose from. Including parts accessoriesand antenna not just state-of-the-art radio communications technology

I know nothing about radios but needed parts to re-install the cb antenna on my jeep after a trail mishap. I picked up a part on the shelf I needed and was being rung up when they pointed out I could get what I needed for less money then the piece I picked up. It’s not often a place will go out of their way to save you money as your being rung up. Based on my experience I would definitely go back.

The plaza its in is a major dump. Imagine the smell of a greasy fried chicken joint along with various other aromatic scents wafting through the parking lot before you even get to the door.Once at the door ya gotta hope there arent 5 OM window shopping the cases cause covid makes you wait outside.If you want a big ticket item and you dont want to pay the man his tax cut, then you have to put up with the shh it hole location.Just dont make eye contact with any of the individuals that are in area for the other businesses.They must have REALLY cheap rent.

Ive been visiting HRO Delaware occassionally over the last 18 months. The staff is very personable and knowledgeable, as well as patient. As a recently minted ham, theyve made me feel welcome to the hobby and have been very helpful.

Fun place to get hands on for ham radio.

Only place to buy Amateur HAM radio equipment within a 200 mile area. Some used equipment is available but not a lot.Kenwood, Icom, and Yaesu. Some less expensive Chinese radios are there too. If you are a Ham, you probably are familiar with them anyway. Online shopping has made dealers close shop, and Ham Fests dwindle but HRO has survived for those who need their gear yesterday. 73s DE N3ISE. By the way there is currently NO SALES TAX at this location, so worth the trip for your $10k Ham Shack HI HI.

I went in there Friday afternoon for a cable for the FT8 contest next weekendThey didnt have the cable in stock, but found one at the Woodbridge store. The store manager personally talked tut o someone at Woodbridge and he assured me that it would ship that day. When I came home Saturday afternoon it was in my mailbox.

Always fast shipping, Ive never had even the smallest item forgotten, there prices are right on par or better than the other places, all questions and inquiries are answered promptly and honestly. I purchase 99% of my new gear from HRO, never had a problem yet and this is going on 20 years...

First timer today. Gentleman that helped me got everything exactly as I asked for. Saved me a couple bucks too by reminding me that I didnt need an extra coupler if I was going to do as I said when entering HRO. I will be back.

Came in a few days ago and asked about a shortwave radio Grundig satellite 750 and was told they dont carry it anymore probably wont. Only later to be offered a lower price alternative that did not have the features I wanted. Walked around the store to browse around only to find what I was looking for not only did I find it they had 9 of them!!!! If it wasnt for me really wanting this radio I wouldnt have purchased this at this particular store I should have went to Woodbridge my first time at this franchise probably my last. Thanks for the business

A really great place with even greater sales people. The folks at HRO are always friendly and helpful. HRO always seem to have you item in stock, and if they dont, another HRO location will. For those who walk in, if the item is out of stock, they will have it back in stock in a few days. They are more than happy to put an item aside for you, so you can pick up at a later date. I have done this on several occasions, now you know the trip to HRO is not for nothing. There prices are very competitive, and are useally cheaper than those other guys. Plus they have lots of nice stuff you can play with and try out.

I spent 10,000 at ham radio outlet in Delaware, the last purchase was a comet gp9 the antenna is bad. ham radio outlet would not replace it so to be treated like that I am no longer a customer.
