New management as of recent is a bit questionable. The service desk representative was great, but the mechanics seem to not care about efficiency and milk labor hours. I had an appointment for 10AM, showed up on time. The front desk guy kept saying any second now the mechanic will be done so I started watching him work, he took about 30 minutes to put on one tire, stripped a nut of another and was very slowly working to get it replaced. I ended up leaving 55 minutes after showing up for my appointment because it was clear that I wouldnt be getting my car looked at anytime soon. The worst part about all this? I showed up for a very simple job, a single tire repair. Just needed a remount/rebalance. Dont waste your time here, the mechanics are not efficient or competent.A footnote, Ive been to this place four times before and they were GREAT. But this experience soured everything, and will likely never return

Great service!My husband called Saturday morning to set up an appointment, confirm they had the tires he wanted and they fit us in that same day.When I brought the car in, the staff were attentive, and friendly. They did not try to “upsell”, something that makes me very uncomfortable and has kept me from returning to other businesses.Prices were competitive.We will definitely come back

My parents brand new tire had a flat less than 24 hours it was put on and we brought the car back to STS the next day. Christopher was incredibly helpful and patient as he diagnosed the issue and quickly rectified it without complaint. He was very kind and professional with excellent customer service skills. We will definitely be going back to this shop the next time we have a tire issue all because of his professional demeanor.

I came into the STS to shop for a set of new tires for my Mercedes GLE 350. They were very helpful and answered all my questions and took the time to help me picking out a set that was perfect for my SUV at a very good price. 3 hours to get one tire off and all because the possibly drunk mechanic at the mom and pop shop(BP gas station n the corner of Lakeville and union) stripped the one of the lug nuts when he was trying to get the tire off, and then afterwards told me he couldnt get it off and of course, obviously, it wasnt his fault because someone else stripped the lug nut he couldnt get off,...🤦‍♂️🤥🤥and then sent me on may and told me to try mavis, which was actually was the best advice he couldve given me...so here at Sts tire(a sister branch of mavis) with a little teamwork and their trusted A mechanic ❤️RICHIE❤️ (with 2 decades of experience,) on site they were able to get it off after a couple hours of some trouble it def wasnt easy and far from routine...And they did all this for a measly $35 dollar job ..the point Im trying to make snd get across, is its obviously not about the money here but more about customer satisfaction and service which seems to be more and more critical nowadays...so, I just want to thank the amazing crew at sts tire on hillside Ave in new Hyde park, for saving me $1000 for a new rim,( had the rim needed to be broken) and a weekend full of unnecessary headaches which I can now enjoy instead...what a relief....

I came to STS for a tire replacement due to a nail stuck in my tire, and was greeted by Chris. He was extremely professional and very helpful throughout the entire experience. My family and I have come here previously for tire issues and were always satisfied with their service!

Been here twice once to get tires and once for a rotation. The day i went to get tires it was without an appointment, but I called ahead and it took about 2 1/2 hours. Last Sunday I went in with appointment for a simple tire rotation which is literally a 5 minute job. When i got there were only 2 cars(other customers) and 3 workers. They also have 3 lifts. My appointment was at 2:30. I got out of there at 5:30.. 3 hours to do a 5 min job. The two cars before me, the customers were inside and we’re also frustrated because they were in there for almost 4 hours themselves. The staff are definitely super friendly and do a good job. But very inefficient timing wise. I don’t think I’ll ever go back there.

This place saved me. I procrastinated on getting my tires changed knowing I was taking a long road trip with my family this coming weekend. I placed the order 08/22 and they received the tires on the 24th with a reservation for install for the 25th. Other places like bjs and Costco were giving me an install date for 08/31 or later and at a similar price as STS.After arriving at STS I worked with Christopher and Marvin. Chris gave me a great price on my wheel alignment and Marvin took care of my install. All in all a great experience for my first tire change. TY guys! A1

02/22/2021 These guys here are on point with their craft. Customer service is excellent. The lobby and restroom are equally clean. The chairs are more than 6 feet of space for social distancing. I see no reason why I wouldnt return and become a regular.02/23/2023 So I had to come back to these guys because the after market rims and tires I brought to them to install cracked when I hit a pothole. With these guys quick installation and ordering of tires I was back on the road fast. These guys are the best. Juan, Richie, andChris....true professionals.

Very friendly, knowledgeable and an asset to this shop. I needed a lot of work done on my car and he walked me through every step. Came in the last day of the month to renew my NY State inspection. I had made an appointment the day before, showed up first thing in the morning and all went smoothly.Chris was friendly and easy to work with. Even though they got busy immediately after I walked in, I was treated great and Chris didn’t forget I was there. Glad to learn this place exists, I’ll keep them in mind for anything that comes up.

Got a flat on the way to work this morning. Came to STS a little before they opened. Chris was here early, let me in immediately and started working on my ticket. He was so nice and helpful.
