Beautiful shop with beautiful entry, altars, and art! Only thing missing was Miss Sallie Ann herself, was disappointed not meeting her😔 But she has any ingredient needed for conjure! And I hear she creates those sweet chicken feet herself which makes them extra especial❤ Go get some!😉

A beautiful thoughtfully crafted location. The Botanical is housed on the main floor of a community center that focuses on spiritual and physical wellness. The associates were helpful and the prices were reasonable. Head there for an enlightening experience.

I read the reviews online and was so excited to visit. Went in and was greeted by a less than enthusiastic young lady. I had some questions and she seemed bothered that I was asking questions. She seemed bothered while she was bagging my items also. Mind you, there were no other customers in the store at the time. There was another young lady in the store walking around lighting candles for the altars they have setup, she was way more friendly than the other one and answered all my questions. I’m not sure if this store only caters to the locals or if they get bothered by people asking questions but it was a real turn off. I probably will not return to this store.

Very cool and REAL Voodoo shop. The whole Healing Center is amazing. This is not in the heart of tourist-central. It is more of a place for locals. I loved the unique inventory and the statues in the front area.

I wanted a reading via telephone. Cierra was my reader and she was so much more than I had hoped for. She called me at exactly the scheduled time. She told me and reassured me about my thoughts, feelings and my future. I was told if and when I needed any clarification to stop her and ask but she broke things ALL THE WAY DOWN lol.She was so awesome and insightful. I cannot wait for the future to come to fruition. I also cannot wait for another reading. All I can say is many thank yous!

The Owner is as Sweet as Can be, and I was Thrilled to have Finally Met with her. I Had a Sensitive Situation Going on and I am Happy that She Was Kind enough to Talk with me in Private and Listen. She did Give Me Her Knowledge which I Plan to Fall Through with. The other Store Clerk was Kind and Told me when The Owner would be at the Store so I Could Meet her, I have Seen the Owner online First which was how I Had heard of her Store. The Prices are also the Best in the City, very Affordable.

Cool little store. Not too touristy or hokeylike a lot of places catering to tourists. The lady working there seemed friendly and knowledgeable about any questions we had. She even let us bring in our dog. Would visit again next time we are in town

Was well worth the trip to New Orleans! Very pleased with the the service, prices, and the knowledge of the lady that took the time to address my every concern. She was not trying to just make a sale, she took the time to discuss things. Although there was social distancing in place for safety, She was on her game! Im glad we found this Botanica in NOLA, because all the other shops felt really tourisy. My sis and I came twice within our short stay because the atmosphere was so dope. We were able to drop off a list, and the owner had the items ready for pickup a short while later. She was quiet(not in a bad way), but extremely helpful. Her assistant, (I didnt get her name but she is from D.R) was also very helpful. The security guard was nice too.. I only regret not getting a reading! I will next time, because I will definitely be back.

I live in Texas and I have not visited the shop in person. I have had 3 amazing and enlightening phone sessions with Sallie. She was able to help me connect the dots and really tune in as to why life is the way it seems. She is very spiritual. I received meditations to help me move along my path more fluidly. I have had more progress on my life in 2 months than I have had in 2 years. I will continue to call Sallie and I would give her 10 stats if I were able. Please just be open minded and listen.

My first time in Louisiana and I saw the other shop in downtown LA and i must say they were ok, I think that they are more commercial and touristy kinda shops but when I got to Salvation Botanica the atmosphere since I walked in was totally different!!!! It was just amazing I had question and the lady that was there was extra nice to explain things to me and also give me advice!!!! Next time Im back in NOLA, this is one of my must go to!!!!Loooove it!!!! Also the prices they have are really good and the quality of their products are great!!!

Ouch. I wonder if the gentleman serving the customers was aware of his incredibly icky vibe 🤔 prices werent bad for the 7 day candles, but not worth the risk of the negative emotional imprint that he might leave upon a more sensitive or vulnerable person. Customer service, especially in a place where people come to get their vibes right, should be offered with warmth and kindness. Is he initiated? Not that his path is my business, but I would hope for a bit more love and light from my nearest botanica. Really makes me miss F&F. Those folks had the touch. One of my favorite parts about visiting New Orleans. Way better stuff than anything on bourbon street or canal, this place has great voodoo and Wiccan supplies. The service was excellent and the lady answered all my questions and if she didn’t know she looked it up and answered after she found a good answer for me. Good prices for what they offer but if you haven’t been somewhere like this before they may seem expensive but they are worth it and they have great prices to any store that actually sells comparable goods. They made sure I got exactly what I was looking for and didn’t seem annoyed at all my questions. Best metaphysical supplies store I’ve ever been to and definitely the better than anything I found in the French quarter. They have prices and goods so fine I am actually considering having them ship to me all the way in Washington. Go here if you need metaphysical supplies and are in New Orleans.

This place is beautiful and colorful and bright! Mambo Glassman has always been supremely helpful and provided great answers to my questions. This is a wonderful place for any spiritualist to visit or for anyone wishing to learn more about Vodou. Hell, I would go just to visit Ayida, Mambo Glassmans doggie, alone ;)

Had what I was looking for. Definitely wont go back if I can help it. Guy working who rang me up had a smug attitude and made me feel that I was inconveniencing him by making him ring up my purchase. Accidently brushed a picture frame on his overcrowded desk when I went to pick up my bag. I apologized but he gave me this look like I kicked a dog. Energy was not positive.

The man behind the desk was short when I asked him a simple question. I didn’t feel comfortable shopping there after. He seemed more enthused telling good bye... At least the dog was adorable, and they have a good variety of items although some were overpriced (tumbled crystals for $5! there are places in the FQ that have them much cheaper; macutos were $10). The center where this place is located is cool. Check the area around it, I’ll be back to that center but I wouldn’t spend my money at this botanica.

Wish I could give a better rating but I went here at 10:15 am and they were closed so i went and got food came back at 10:45 and they were open but a sign saying be back at 11 so I have tried a couple of times now and dont care shame though looked liked a nice place

I rarely, if ever, write google reviews; however, I felt my experience with the Botanica deserved one without question. Sallie Ann has been truly wonderful in guiding me as I began my journey with the Vodoun. I live nowhere near NOLA, and, as busy as Sallie is, she always found the time to write me regarding ways in which I could find spiritual enhancement, connect with others in my community, and better educate myself on the subject of Vodou/Voodoo as it’s practiced in both Haiti and NOLA. Plus the services offered at the Botanica are fabulous and are in many cases tailor-made to the individual (like the custom made Gris-Gris!). Sallie has such a depth of knowledge of the metaphysical and has used that to evolve the Botanica and her associated Ounfo into a place of salvation, peace, worship, and true spiritual power rather than just a storefront where one goes to buy cool trinkets (though there are plenty of those too!). If you’re in NOLA or even if you’re just interested in Vodou/Voodoo or Santeria, PLEASE stop by the Botanica or speak with Sallie Ann and I guarantee you’ll find more than you ever expected. If the negative reviews on here mention individuals, they miss the entire point of the Botanica entirely because it’s about the collective energy of those that patronize and worship. And believe me when I say there is an spiritual energy to the place that a Google review cannot do justice in describing. So go! Do it now!
