Dr.Joel Roffer was amazing. Ive been told I never needed glasses but I knew I could never see clear. He checked, and heard my concerns and prescribed what I needed. Will definitely recommend him.

Dr. Young is cool. The staff is the opposite. Phone currently doesn’t even connect to reach them. It is just a dropped dead call when trying to get a prescription for my contacts renewed.

I went for my yearly eye exam two weeks ago. I was told at that time my glasses would be ready in two weeks. I just called to check the status on my glasses only to be told they havent made it to the office. I work from home in front a computer 8hrs a day, and am struggling with my old glasses to see. While I understood the two week turn around which seems excessive, however being told I may not have them in two weeks as promised is not acceptable. The only reason they received 2 stars is because the doctor that performed the eye exam was very helpful. Frustrated customer and not be returning next year.

Not very happy with service iv been receiving me and my daughter both had eye exams same day told our glasses would take about 2 weeks to arrive my daughters glasses have already arrived and have been sitting there for almost a week were mine havent even arrived supposed to arrive today but all iv been told for the last week is that there in process these people one were quick to take my 300 dollars but arent quick to tell me where my glassed are

Beware of sketchy charge and billing practices. The doctor was very good with my son, however, they hold your prescription hostage in an attempt to get you to but there. First off, they’re practicing shady insurance practices. They told my husband that if they billed our insurance, one that they participated with, that the visit would cost us over $200 out of pocket but if he was willing to pay that day, they would be willing to treat us like “self-pay” and only charge us $99. This is a trick folks. I have over 30 years of healthcare billing experience. Self- pay should never cost less than if you had insurance. It breaches their contract with the insurance company. They’re simply taking advantage of being on the insurance company’s roster but avoiding having to bill the insurance. I called my insurance company only to find out that the visit would have been paid 100% with no out of pocket cost to me. I’m still fighting this with them almost 2 months later. My insurance company has attempted to reach them several times and have left messages. To date, they still have not billed my insurance and when I try to explain it to the staff, they have no clue. Also, we were quoted 3 different prices for his glasses..The first quote was low because I asked for the prescription to buy elsewhere. Considering the first price quote, we decided to buy there. We shopped from the frame section that we were told were within the quote range. Within 20 minutes, the price we were quoted, doubled. To be continued….

If you are looking for a phenomenal optometrist, Dr. Megan Young - who currently practices at My Eye Doctor at the Fenn Road location in Newington - is a fabulous! She is great at what she does and has the perfect personality to make you feel confident in her skill. I would recommend her to any family member or friend without hesitation!

2 visits and thats enough for me. Last year, I had my regular eye visit and the appointment was great. Then afterwards I had to wait through a exhausting sales pitch on which frames I should buy to get my prescription. After an hour I finally got my prescription and left. This year I showed up 3 minutes late and waited at the door. When I was let in the receptionist disappeared into the back and came back to tell me I needed to reschedule due to my late arrival. Sorry I have kids and punctuality is tough at times. Rescheduling another sitter and getting there doesnt seem worth it for a business I wasnt excited to revisit. I declined the reschedule and unlocked the door for myself. I walked out while the receptionist stayed behind the desk. Apparently she couldnt be bothered to get up to let me out.

Three years after an appointment here, MyEyeDr. took it upon themselves to add me to their robocall marketing list without my knowledge or consent. They didnt even have the decency (if there is any left in marketing?) to have a person call me and talk to me for five seconds - it had to be an automated marketing message because despite never asking for the call I was still unimportant enough to MyEyeDr. to hear this from a person.When I called to get removed, I asked how I got added to the list. The employee that answered said that their system does it automatically. Well guys, your system is bad, and you should be ashamed for pushing your marketing on customers that never requested it. Clearly your business is in the phase where some ethically bankrupt exec(s) and marketers figured out how to pump additional short term sales at the expense of long term customer relationships. This is a great way for executives to earn bonuses before jumping ship for another company in 2-3 years before the long-term consequences of their actions are apparent. Company values such as these may explain your ~2.5 star reviews across seemingly all of your locations - Im genuinely sorry that you cant do better.When I cant even trust a company to use my phone number responsibly, I know shouldnt trust them with something as important as my health. I will not be returning, and wouldnt hesitate to let anyone know about this irresponsible and unethical conduct.

I dont think the girls at the front desk understand customer service. Today (5/7/2021)I had an appointment for my contacts. An appointment I was made to wait inorder for them to find me a spot and finally on getting there after leaving work early inorder to make it on time and to be told by these 2 girls that worked the desk that I didnt have an appointment in the most humiliating and embarrassing way. No one should ever be made to feel the way these girls made me feel or spoken to in that manner. It is definitely not ok at all. What happened today is not customer service and hopefully management if there is any at all in this company will look at other reviews and know that they have a problem and work towards addressing it. Why would anyone come back after such treatment?

I am a new patient. I made an appointment for 10:50. I arrived at 10:52. I called the numbers on the door (the door is locked for covid) over 13 times with a busy signal each time. I could see the person at the front desk the entire time. While I was there two other people arrived and said they couldnt get through any of the numbers either. When the front desk person finally came to the door it was 10:58. She said because I was so late the doctor wouldnt see me. I explained I had been calling the number the entire time and that I clearly had been at the door the entire time. She said that didnt matter, her phone never rang and that I had to reschedule. If the doctor is running on that tight of a schedule she should at least have equally good customer service. She obviously doesnt.

I wish I read reviews first. Everytime I call I get put on hold for 10 minutes it would probably be longer but I always hang up at the 10-minute mark and call back. Not shockingly my prescription is awful. The person that ordered my prescription really didnt take the time to try to get them perfect even though I told them I was still having double vision as they were testing me, they simply decided that my time was up and prescribed me some lenses that didnt correct my problems so now Im going through the process of having to go back over and over again and get tested and see the doctor yet noone bothers to give me a new prescription. I also noticed I now have no close up vision with these lenses either, I called to make an appointment and they told me I can just walk in and see the lady at the counter and she will check my glasses to see if there is a problem with them. YES THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE PRESCRIPTION but seems noone wants to acknowledge that. I am suffering. When I compare the glasses to my old ones - the prescription is the same.

(At this time, this review had 2 stars)I like the glasses I got. Id tell you whether or not I like the sunglasses I ordered along with them, but the lab screwed up the polarizing on them, and had to remake them. Two weeks later and I still dont have them. I was assured that an effort is made to fast-track mistakes, but no such effort has been made.If you have a time-conscious need for your glasses, I highly suggest going elsewhere.Update: Very shortly after writing this, I received an alert letting me know my second pair was finally in. I will update this review and increase it to 3 stars, provided the glasses are as good as the first pair - which really are top notchUpdate 2: I went ahead and raised this to 4 stars because a) both pair of glasses really are exceptional, and b) the staff is both knowledgeable and helpful. Im leaving a star off for the inefficiency of the lab, especially on correcting a mistake.It is also worth mentioning that this review is based only on the procurement of my glasses, as I had my exam somewhere else.As I edited this review for the final time, MyEyeDr reached out to me to make sure that my new sunglasses were up to expectation and apologize for the delay in receiving them.Overall, I feel my experience with MyEyeDr was a positive one, and I would return.

I really like my eye doctor there (Dr. Megan Young), but have been much less happy with the office experience since it changed from visual perceptions. Staff handling of insurance and ordering my glasses has been much less transparent, everything cost me a lot more than previous years with less clear explanation of what I’m getting, when I’m not asking for anything different. I will likely continue to see them for my prescription, but buy my glasses elsewhere from now on.They are doing a good job of safety procedures with the pandemic going on, so they deserve kudos for that.But that also means you can’t get in for a ten minute appointment for several days just to adjust & fix a screw that fell out on new glasses.

Went there today for a scheduled eyeglass adjustment. My appt. Was for 4:40. I arrived there at 4:35. You have to wait outside until they are ready for you. I called at said scheduled time. I was told there could be a wait of between 5 to 20 min. This wait turned into an hour. I finally told the last gentleman that came out i was not waiting any longer. I understand that we are under the constraints of a pandemic but consider this poor customer service. I also work in the medical field and understand the demands. Sad to say but I may be leaving a physician Ive been seeing since the day i first wore glasses some 40 something years ago. Along with my 2 other family members who go there. Maybe hire some more staff if you cant handle your demands. Or dont schedule the way you do.

Waited a month for my visit, day before they call and say they cant verify i have insurance (husky) i can provide them with the verification, and they said it needs to be on their system. My appointment was scheduled over a month ago, so rather than making sure everything is taken care of ahead of time or letting me know even now i have to wait another month. Worst customer care Ive ever experience to date. We are at trying times, any doctor you go to visits are a month away. They couldnt get in contact with insurance on their end and gave up and told me sorry not sorry, have a nice day

Poor Customer Service. I went for an eye exam there hoping for a good experience as a new patient. I used the hand sanitizer and was asked covid questions. When the person got to the question do you work for healthcare, I said yes because I work for a Physician. She asked me more questions and said I have to wear a different mask. I said look I wear a level 3 surgical mask. Then she had to go speak to someone about that. Then she came back and said that was fine. Then I went with a technition to do screening questions, she was not to personable. Then it was time to remove my contacts. The sink had no hot water to wash my hands, after a few minutes it was luke warm. Not good in covid times. The Dr I saw was okay. The contact lens fitting was outrageously priced. Visual Perceptions was much better. I would not recommend this Company or would I go back.

I simply have to second the reviews i am seeing regarding poor quality service with the office staff. Staff needs to let patients know the new 5 minute rule before booking an appt. Poor communication, poor service.I wont be back to this particular establishment. The office staff seriously needs review.

Very friendly staff, quick and attentive. I went in today to see if my eye glasses could be repaired and the lady I talked to was very kind and helpful, acknowledging that I should replace my glasses, and fixed my old ones for the time being with care. This facility is kid friendly as well! My three year old daughter was with me, and as parents know toddlers have little patience and the receptionist at the front desk was sweet and gave Leah stickers and a child’s “passport book.” Highly recommend to anyone of any age group :)

The staff was EXTREMELY helpful in assisting me in getting a new pair of glasses when my son broke my old pair. Id been calling around all day trying to find an eye doctor who accepted Husky insurance and I wasnt going to call this place honestly because I thought they were expensive but I trusted my instinct and gave them a try and luckily they did! Theyre five minutes away from my house which is also a huge plus. I felt extremely welcome and was given superb assistance from the nurses, doctors, as well as the girls at the front desk who also assisted me in picking out a pair of glasses. I explained to the girl who assisted me in picking out a pair of glasses that I was going out of town in two weeks and was concerned that my glasses wouldnt be ready in time, but she assured me that theyd be ready within a week! Which is pretty fast compared to other eye doctors Ive been to. She even offered to give me a years worth of coverage just in case anything happens to my new glasses for only $15 which is awesome because my insurance only allows me to get a new pair of glasses every two years and only if its medically necessary 🤦🏾‍♀️. I will definitely be going here from now on for all my eye Care needs& I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends. They are amazing.

Poor customer service. I had to call 3 times for my prescription and they gave the WRONG one when i went there and pick it up. Then I had to call 2 more times for them to give it to me.
