I had the most wonderful experience with Dr. Tonya Long and her staff. The eye exam was quick and easy. Dr. Long was very informative and explained my prescription in detail, which was great! After my exam, they sent me next door to try on glasses. Ashley was the wonderful expert who helped me choose the glasses that were a great fit for me. She was so kind and patient while I tried on at least 3 trays worth of different glasses. Overall I had a great experience and will be making the 2 hour trip every year to see these ladies for all of my optical needs. Thank you so much!

Called this location to see if they could do a one hour service with my prescription from another doctor since I had just broke my glasses. The lady I spoke to on the phone, Ashleigh, was very pleasant and informed me that only certain prescriptions could be done same day and explained that they would be able to give me a definite answer once I got there. As soon as I walked in, I felt very welcomed by everyone working and thankfully was able to use their one hour service! After mediocre service at my regular eyewear place, I decided to try Lenscrafters. The glasses I purchased are great quality- comfortable and flattering- but the service I received is the real reason I wanted to leave a review. The employees at this location are wonderful- so patient and helpful! Ill definitely be making this my new regular place and encourage others to stop in as well.

Wow. Im not one to leave reviews for places often, but when I have an excellent experience or receive wonderful customer service, I feel it merits recognition. Its rare that any business can make me feel instantly welcomed and in the hands of experienced professionals, but this Lenscrafters location is certainly the exception. Not only were they knowledgeable in the technical aspects, but knew their products extremely well. I came in for a repair and left with a new frame, fitted perfectly to my face. This is now my go-to for all things optical! Highly recommend!!

Excellent experience... Was at Busch gardens down the road on a Sunday and broke my glasses. This was the only place within a reasonable drive that repaired glasses so I left the park took a quick trip and they helped me out without any problem. Wouldnt even take any money for the repair which I was more than expecting to pay as I am from upstate New York and this location is in Virginia so I obviously did not buy them here. The nice lady said nope, no charge for repairs or adjustments.

The ladies at this Lens crafter were very professional, efficient, and hardworking. They made sure that all my needs were met throughout the process of getting my cute new pair of glasses.

I bought glasses at America’s Best. I lost a screw, resulting in a lens falling out. They refused to replace the screw or even sell me a screw so I could fix it myself. I went to the nearby Newport News LensCrafters where Jennifer took care of it. Thank you Jennifer. Class would have been very difficult the next day without your help.

I highly recommend that you go LensCratfer if you family oriented services, very professional and friendly. They do things in a very good timely manner. The doctor is so so polite, and she communicate very good. The doctor allows you to answer any questions that you have, and she will listen to your question before answering. I am a first time visitor and I will be returning back again indefinitely.

I would have been much happier with LensCrafters if they had had more in stock (at the store) of the frames (RX 5245...by Ray Ban) that I had to purchase online at LensCrafters.com so I could have purchased a protection plan for both the frames and the lenses together rather than just for the lenses alone. Also, prices overall need to come down somewhat more as I spent almost a thousand dollars on my new frames and lenses plus the cost of the eye exam next door (to the store) as well as a protection plan for my Ray Ban lenses even after all discounts have been applied first (and then with taxes included). That said, I would still recommend LensCrafters to anyone (who can afford it) for the best possible eye-wear and customer service that money can buy from a chain (like LensCrafters).

The young lady that helped me went above and beyond. I tried on about 30 pair ( they have to clean each pair) but they said they were more than happy to do it so I could get the pair I liked. Since I really couldnt see what they looked like the staff looked at each pair and let me know how they looked. Thank you Lenscrafters.

Dr. Long was heavily overbooked and my daughter’s appointment was 30 minutes late before being seen. Then I found out her office had charged Tricare incorrectly just to see if I was eligible, causing it to appear I had already used that benefit when in fact I had not. Then to add insult to injury, they got paid for the visit that we never attended! After spending hours on the phone, Dr. Long agreed her office was negligent with the billing & agreed to see my daughter.Her vision had changed drastically so I went back to ask for the notes to be faxed to my PCP’s office because Dr. Long felt my daughter might have diabetes, SHE FLAT OUT REFUSED! Dr. Long told me she wish she never saw us and would not give me any notes for the visit because she claims she wasn’t paid for the visit. Please do yourself a favor and don’t visit this doctor! She gives wrong information and I had to spend my own money for a different visit with a more knowledgeable Optometrist that said Dr. Longs findings were completely WRONG! She is a COMPLETE FRAUD!

First of all, the Dr next door was lovely. She explained everything succinctly, and got me out quickly. Kim, at LensCrafters, was very kind and made sure that I left with exactly what I wanted, including one of my pairs of glasses being mens, because she recognized exactly what I was seeking. Simple, and classic, which most womens frames are not. But! thats not even what impressed me the most. That, is that she spoke so highly of her manager. Its so nice to go to a business that supports each other. I went here the last time for my glasses, and I will go the next as well.

I have been coming here for years to get my glasses and have never had a bad experience. Today was really exceptional, though. Because of my prescription and the frames I chose, it would be impossible for them to get my glasses done before I leave for a trip on Thursday without using cheaper lenses that would be super thick. Kimberly did everything she could to get me a second, reasonably priced pair that would work until my primary glasses were done. She told me it would be about 2 hours, tomorrow morning at the latest to get them done. Less than an hour later, I got a text saying that my glasses were ready. Great customer service, great selection!

You spend a little more, but you get a little more, Ive tried Visionworks, and saved a few dollars, never again, just the service alone when Im in Lencrafters, and the way i feel like Im not being rushed....priceless

Clear vision gave me such a hard time to get my prescription so a Lens crafters employee at PHM took it upon herself to call and receive it due to clear vision giving me a hard time! P.S. you should not have to fight to get your medical records! They have to give it to you!

My husband and I (Sander and Heather Jenkins) are regulars at this location. We have never had a bad experience here ever. Steven is absolutely nothing but amazing and helpful along with everyone else. Yeah, its expensive but its quick when you need to be able to see! Im sure we will back.

My lady trust LensCrafters to help pick my glasses

Low quality glasses break easy, the warranty is a joke.How could i pay more for the glasses to be fixed than I originally paid for them? The employees are rude at this location, and its obvious they need some training in product and policy. Weve been here before and had no issues, very disappointed.

I go here often. Only had 1 bad experience when I got my frames an the lens wasn’t all the way in, the lady I spoke with claimed that’s how they fit because the Rx was different in that lens. I don’t have terrible vision so i knew that was a BS answer. I left an came back, avoided the lady I previously spoke too an went to someone else. Got my lens seated correctly.. My go to person is Steven! Never had any issues with him, great customer service an he has an awesome personality! Ask for Steven when you go!!

Just purchased a pair of glasses from the Newport news location great customer service had previously purchased a pair of glasses from hampton roads eye associates waited a month for them, got a lot of run around from them so finally had enough of dealing with a riverside affiliated business and requested a refund and went to lenscrafters in Patrick Henry Mall. Walked in and was instantly helped by Kayla who was very knowledgeable and helpful in picking out some frames and working with my insurance and saved me 250.00 bucks and received my glasses in 2 hours what more could you ask for a very special thanks to Kayla and all the folks at that location for there help and great customer service.

For over a month I have been fighting with this location on my glasses, between the left eye not being able to see, with blurry and double vision. To now after another exam and a change yet again from the previous perception, now my right eye is not able to focus correctly.Now I have to bring the original copy of the receipt, not a reprint that they can do, not the digital copy that I received in my email (making it completely useless to have any digital copy) . No the original copy that luckily I still have and has not been damaged by heat or rain, or even lost or discarded to get the money back from the transaction.at this location from the glasses I just picked up, from said manager.I have been told from the people working as well as the Dr at this location many things that after 21 years of wearing glasses make no since. we suggest you wear the glasses for 10 days minimum (cant return them then, and dont want to get used to being blind when my current glasses have no issue) the script wont cover the entire lens just the center (what? Unless I get to the very edge of my old glasses, then it starts to get blurry)This is all a complete waste of time and money. If this is your only option then I wold pay for something out of pocket

OUR RXS WERE DROPPED OFF ON 10/23/16. AFTER TWO WEEKS AND HEARING NOTHING, WE CALLED AND TOLD THREE PAIRS OF THE GLASSES WERE IN. THE SUNGLASSES WERE NOT AND DID NOT KNOW WHEN TO EXPECT THEM. WE WERE GIVEN AN $80 CREDIT FOR OUR INCONVENIENCE. ON 11/08 MY WIFE WENT IN FOR ADJUSTMENTS AND CKD ON MY SUNGLASSES. SHE WAS TOLD DUE TO THE STYLE OF THE RAY BAN FRAMES MY NEW RX COULD NOT BE PUT IN THEM. HAD NOT SHE GONE IN WHEN WAS I TO BE NOTIFIED? THE GLASSES WERE GIVEN TO MY WIFE WITH THE OLD LENSES OUT OF THEM. SHE HAD THEM PUT THE OLD LENSES BACK IN THE GLASSES. I WAS ISSUED A REFUND FOR THE SUNGLASSES BUT NO CONCERN EXHIBITED FOR MY WAIT AND LACK OF UPDATES. NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS WILL BE MY LAST VISIT TO THIS PARTICULAR SITE. WHAT A POOR EXAMPLE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEIR SAME DAY OR 7 TO 10 DAY GLASSES TURNAROUND IS A COMPLETE FARCE.
