I rented a washer and dryer from Appliance Rental Depot from July of 2015 to July of 2016.Before getting into the primary reason for my poor rating, a few notes: the units I rented were in decent condition, had no problems for the year, and were delivered and picked up on time. The people involved in the delivery and pickup were quick and professional. The company website, used for payment and contact, was very poor and made making payments and scheduling requests more difficult than it needed to be. The company was so hard to reach over the phone that it was enough to make you doubt that they were a legitimate operation.Now for my explanation for the 1-star: like a lot of other reviewers, I had a horrible time getting the company to stop charging me once my rental was up, and to refund me for the unauthorized charges. I submitted the required cancellation to them to end my rental in July 2016, consistent with my lease terms and a month prior to the cancellation date. I received email confirmation that they had received and approved my request. The company picked up the units on the indicated date.In late July, however, another monthly charge was billed to my account, despite me no longer having the units. I contacted the company about the error and they promised to credit back my account the next day. Two weeks passed without receiving the credit or hearing from the company, so I submitted a dispute to my bank and contacted the company telling them that. I received no apology or response from them, but they did immediately credit back the account (but really, at that point, them crediting the account caused me more work, since I had to contact my bank again and explain why I was cancelling the request!).Since this seems to be a recurring issue for this company, as evidenced by such poor Google reviews and multiple unaddressed BBB complaints, I feel justified in giving them 1-star.
Absolute nightmare with this company. I scheduled a day for them to come pick up the washer and dryer from my apartment and they did not show up. They asked me to schedule another day, which I did, and they didnt show up that day either. After those days I was out of the apartment as the lease was over. A week later I get billed $250 to my debit card. I call them and ask what the charge is for and they tell me lost/stolen equipment. The apartment complex got rid of the washer/dryer to clear out the apartment and these guys charge ME because they failed to make it out on two scheduled dates prior to me moving out. I asked for a refund and they gave me the run around, never committing to giving me a refund. I spoke to a manager there and he said he would have to run it up the ladder and it may only be a partial refund. The entire conversation with these guys and they never once offered any help and asked me to do the leg work of contacting the apartment to find out where their washer/dryer is. I called my bank and disputed the charge, got my money back, and of course Appliance Rental Depot has not fought to get that money. THEN they charged me another monthly fee for the washer/dryer but were able to refund that immediately. Weak.
I have been a customer with Appliance Rental Depot(ARD) for 5 years and I have NEVER had any bad customer service. I have NEVER had any issues with their washer and dryers. There prices are great and they have great customer service. I dont know about some of these reviews or other peoples experience I can only speak for me and my experience with this company for five years. I have never had any bad business with them. I would recommend them and have recommended them to residents at my apartment and elsewhere. The customer service and installation was fast and friendly. They are very easy to work do business with. I appreciate (ARD) thanks for the service five years going strong! I am a bit shocked at the reviews...
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL ROB YOU AND GIVE YOU FAULTY, OLD, NOT WORKING EQUIPMENT.IF I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS, i would.-This company will charge your account for no reason.-They will sent an appointment up with you from 12pm-6pm and cancel on you at 8pm.- They are inconsistent.-They dont have a phone where someone picks up. It goes straight to voicemail and they never return your call (BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY DO TERRIBLE BUSINESS)
I agree with absolutely everyones reviews... Dont waste your money on this company. there are better ones out there. They are HORRIBLE, they dont even have customer service. Their idea of customer service is leaving a voicemail. THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU. ONLY BY EMAILS... How sketchy is that. I used the a whole year and renewed, had some issues along the way. Nothing no help what so ever. Do your homework before deciding on these people. Its not worth it.
Great company. Services was done as promised. Had the machines for almost one year and never had any problem. I love the fact that they will do repairs upon request with an appointment. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.
If I could give them a zero., would. In the 4 months Ive been dealing with them, theyve missed 5 appointments. Yep 5. Im on my third dryer. The 1st just broke. The 2nd had a loose drum and ruined some laundry. The 3rd had no heat and timer was broken. I spent 2 hours in the laundromat Saturday drying clothes. It usually takes the 2 days to return an email and you cant call them. The delivery guys are rude. I could go on and on.
Ordered a washer and dryer set online that never came. I called the office literally every hour on the hour the day I was told it would be delivered and no one answered the phone. I emailed them and no one ever got back to me. I canceled my order and rented elsewhere. My advice is to never use this place, they are horrible at conducting business and I dont expect them to be around much longer. Just think all I wanted to do was confirm my delivery and they didnt answer the phone for that, I could only imagine if something went wrong with an appliance. I would never have been able to get someone to come fix it. Just know you pay what you get for and its a reason they are the cheapest place in Atlanta.
BEWARE AND STAY AWAY! If I could give this a zero I would. I rented a dryer from this company before I learned to check reviews before renting things. Lesson learned. This is a sorry excuse for a company and I am dumbfounded how they are even operating. I requested a dryer pick up plenty of time in advance for my move out day of my apartment complex. It is 4 days later, I am moved out, my keys are turned in and after countless attempts of contact to the company the dryer is yes, you guessed it still sitting in the apartment. Dont even waste your time.
Any party that has the audacity (after becoming clients) to refer to this appliance circus as Great, Professional, Competent, or even as a properly functioning business, in my opinion, may work for this place. (Which in hindsight, explains at lot.) Only after a couple months, the dryer is just pieces of crap metal taking up space in my condo. After putting a small load in the dryer, i begin to smell fumes which resemble smoke. First instinct, is to run to the stove/oven, but Im not cooking anything. Imagine my surprise when opening the laundry door room...SMOKE...and now smoky *** clothes.I notify this place by leaving a voice mail and an email message to explain this occurrence. I receive a call back the following day explaining a person would be by to swap the dryers between the hours of 3-7 pm. Also stated the delivery person would phone 30 min prior to arrival. So here I am a sitting duck waiting only for NO ONE to show nor to rescheduled.I, again leave an email and voicemail. The same guy calls; not because he realized my service request was not fulfilled, but hes returning my call. He makes no apology, no accountability or has a clue as to why my request was not met. And it is unfortunate, this person is in a managerial position. He then make another promise of delivery on Thur Jun 30th. Again, No Show, No call, No accountability. At this point, I dont want the crappy duo, because I hate the fact that this place is benefiting from my hard earned money. Oh, but they are punctual debiting my account every month. I have turned this info over to a specific new channel. I am the one that never leave reviews, but if i can save anyone from this nightmare, Im glad to do so. (Sorry, I could not post without leaving at least 1 star, otherwise 0.)
Scheduled service of my dryer on 2/3/17 - technician called to confirm the appointment the morning of, but never showed up. I had scheduled the day off of work to wait around for the appointment; the fact that they offered no explanation of why my technician never showed up is absolutely unacceptable.I contacted them the next morning to tell them to pick up their equipment, as I didnt want to do business with them anymore - their reply was theres a $25 fee to pick up on short notice. Didnt even address the fact that their technician missed the appointment. Completely outrageous.
Horrible and completely unprofessional! I contacted them last week to schedule a pickup,when I spoke with gentlemen we settled on today (Monday 11/14) I was already off work it has been all day and no one showed up I didnt receive a phone call or email. When I tried reaching out all I got was the voicemail.I cant wait to be doing me with ridiculous company by far one of the most unprofessional experiences I have had.

This guy tried to see window units on FB and sent me on a wild goose chase. 1. Sent wrong address 2. Door was locked and had me waiting for 10 min. 3. Then messages me to meet him around back 4. Never comes out other than a wave out the door.Never communicated with me And made me believe this was a scam how whole thing happened. This guy has bad customer service skills and considering the bad reviews, its not a good business to do business from.
Cannot get hold of anyone.Their call center is useless.Delivered a drier that didnt work and they could not repair it for 3 weeks.Promise prorated rent but never received.I had to call and ask to have my appliances delivered three days after they were supposed to arrive.I am still being billed for a washer and drier I no longer have and they will not answer phone calls or emails to make it stop.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you really dont want a washer and drier and just want to pay someone for nothing,
This company is not worth rating, it doesnt return phone calls, responds to e-mails 24 hours after you contact them. Can not keep appointment times. They are good at taking your money! Find someone better because these guys are useless.

This company is a SCAM!!! They took our money and delivered a broken washer and dryer. The guy delivering said he would note that is was making a weird sound but that it was working. 20 mins later Im trying a load of clothes and washer doesnt spin. I tried just drying the clothes so they werent wet, and the dryer didnt get hot at all.Follow-up: BEWARE. You cant call them! Its all voicemail based. So, you must leave a message or an email. I sent 5 emails asking for a replacement. The email simply came back: A new delivery date is set for tomorrow. The email addressed none of my questions or concerns.Scam...scam...scam...stay away. Not worth it!
DO NOT EVER RENT FROM THEM.( I dont understand how they are still in business)- no direct phone number- their website has only one information (rental order only)- no response when you need them- broken.faulty machines (as if they buy broken washers from other rental companies and fix a little, then rent them)Okay, starting from the beginning, I ordered washer and dryer and they didnt even knew that i placed an order on their website.The installation in 9/08/2016 and when I used the washer for the first time in 9/13/2016, water over flown from the washer and flooded my laundry room, kitchen, living room, and the hallway. (also to my neighbor downstairs)There was nowhere to report this incident but to leave a voice message on their one and only number.- they didnt care about the damage.- they didnt responded- the service guy came by after several attempts (numerous calls and emails)- they didnt even fixed them correctly (water flooded again 09/22/2016)*from 9/13~9/21 my apartment were being fixed.- again, numerous calls and emails for the damage to them, they dont care nor respond.- I wrote detailed email for the incidents but the answer from them was too short that it made me mad --> the washer will be picked up tomorrow between 1-5pmso far, no answers from them for what they would do, other than they will pick up the appliances.
First of all, they DO NOT provide customer service. Their phone # only rings to VOICE MAIL. The only way to submit request is through email. And they only reply to you when they want to. My washer and dryer were broken. Dryers door no longer closes. Washer made an insane amount of noise. The washers panel can no longer control the washers speed and so it washes at maximum speed. I called and left voice mail for them to replace, no return call. I emailed 8 times, they did not bother replacing them at all. Finally I had to cancel my credit card, sent them over 10 emails telling them to cancel the service. Finally they show up today to remove the appliances because they cant charge me anymore. These are scammers. Do not do business with them. And yes they still want me to pay the $75 early termination fee. **** you
This company is the worst with which I have ever had the displeasure of doing business. They repeatedly ignores service requests. Theyve given me FOUR broken machines in the course of ten months. It takes multiple, multiple contact attempts to get anyone to call or email you. You cant get a person on the phone from their phone number--just a computer. Repairmen come on the wrong days or not at all. I feel like Im being robbed every month.
Easily one of the worst customer experiences Ive ever had. After weeks of my order they finally installed a dryer that hasnt worked. I cant get in touch with them and its now been 8 weeks or so. I emailed, texted, left voicemail. You cannot talk to a real person unless they call you.I tried to take my payment info off of the site so they couldnt bill me anymore, but somehow they still billed me, which concerns me (ie. how do they have my card number if its not on their website anymore?)Please do not use. I wish there was a half star rating.
DONT DO IT! Use Azuma! Dealing with these people has been a nightmare. They never answer there phone, dont work on Saturday, no matter what they tell you, miss appointments, and left deep scratches in my hard wood floor. I have not been with them for two months and I still can not get them to stop charging me and refund those months. Save yourself the hassle and just say NO.
Poor communication, just not a place I want to deal with it anymore. Charged my card twice but no delivery, trust me if I dont receive service or a refund Im going to Norcross today! Im sick of talking to a damn machine. I would rather pay more money than to keep dealing with this.
Worst customer service and experience I have EVER received! I have left multiple emails, voicemails and text messages with NO response. We got a replacement washer that smells horrible. I have a medically complex baby with compromised lungs who is not able to handle mold and mildew spores well. I have been trying to get in contact in order to get a replacement washer for my childs health and NO one will response. I have also been trying to get ahold of a manger or supervisor for a week and a half without success. NEVER do business with this company.
This is the WORST company to schedule a pickup / drop off with. Theyre consistently late, unreliable, and make the fact that theyre running behind your problem. Theyre guaranteed to come at least two hours AFTER about designsted time and then get an attitude if youre not there when they decide to arrive. Terrible experience.
This business picked up a non-working washer from my house and when they removed it, instead of waiting 30 seconds for my double front to be opened to full capacity, the employee dragged the washer through one half of my front door and put huge gouges on my wooden front door and the door frame. I have been calling them repeatedly since 11-1-16 (today being 11-4-16) and aside from the initial call back to find out what the problem is, I havent received a call back. I sent them the requested photos of the damage and that was the last contact I had with anyone within the company. I just want the damage repaired.This is a prime example of you get what you pay for.I wouldnt recommend this rental company to anyone if this is the type of service they provide.By the way, you can not ever speak to a live person; you can only leave a voice mail for a call back. Not very customer service oriented.
Ive place an order over 2 weeks ago and no one has call to set up anything yet. Ive been calling the office and keep getting an automatic system with no help. I will not be using this service
Worse company to deal with. You do not speak with a live person - always either email to text. They do not respond in a timely manner. Repairs are not addressed with urgency. They do not care but will collect your money quickly. Terrible service. Very disappointing.
First off, the initial delivery was an hour past the 4 hour window. Then the dryer stopped working after the first use. Next the washer started leaking on my floor. Then when I canceled my rental agreement, they kept charging me. No answer to my phone calls now.
Staff is easy to work with and efficient! The laundry unit never gave me issues!
Continued to Bill me for a washer dryer I had already returned. Will not return my calls or to emails after a week of trying to reach them so now I have to file a claim with my bank and go for a lengthy process with my bank to retrieve the money they stole. Also the washer/dryers are terrible quality for what they charge you, stay away.
