Have been using this shop for a couple of years. Good prices and consistent good quality
Spoke to a very nice gentleman on the phone, about an issue with my driveshaft. He answered my question and didnt try to sell me anything. He provided availability, pricing, and turnaround time.
Stated that he was going to pick up my part from a shop around the corner, Then stated payment that was $40 higher than quoted, I questioned that I’m paying higher than quoted. I requested them to pick up my item, he then stated he was going to lunch and it would be an Hour, The undertones and politically none neutral signage posted is no place for minority’s . I was charged higher and when I questioned the price, his tone immediately changed and then it was on me to drive to pick up my item or wait.. it’s clear this business only wants a certain customer. 👎
This place is amazing! My local mechanic referred me to this place saying that they do great quality work for a good price; I came here on a Friday afternoon and I got just that. I came here with an issue that I thought would take a few days or so, but I brought it in at 2pm and had my truck back and rolling again the SAME DAY! I was shook, and I would definitely refer this place to friends and family members. Come in and see for yourself that this place rocks!!
Very pleased with the look of the work they did, not quite as pleased with the communication. I called in before I took my driveshaft over and was told one day turnaround. A dropped it off on Wednesday afternoon and didnt get called to pick it backup until Monday afternoon. Other than that quite happy with the service.
Always a great staff and never irritated to answer any questions. Had a few vehicle in the shop there and they done great work on them
These are some good people, they have been building my driveshafts for years(Tilly mill service center)... If not for the small dinghy office they wouldve gotten a better rating.
Awesome work and quick!
Taking care of my car is my top priority. I only get my alignments and tire mounting done with Gran Turismo East so if I need something done that I cant or they cant do I ask them first. This shop was their first recommendation and I am so happy I chose these guys!My visit wasnt cheap because of the work that was getting done but these guys did everything right and somehow managed to get it all done in one day! Hopefully I wont need any driveshaft or diff work done anytime soon but if I do this shop is my go to!
Got the shimmy out of my 03 Silverado with 291k on the clock. Great job!
Researched the best option when I thought my rear differential on my Jeep went bad. I knew taking it to The Jeep Dealer would put a big dent in my pocket. Every comment I read spoke to the quality and honesty of this establishment and I must say, everything that was written was true and they exceeded my expectations!!! I dropped my Jeep last Wednesday and was called late afternoon the same day and was told it was fixed, I took an Uber over and when I got there realized there was another Jeep exactly like mine and it was a honest mistake. Andrew offered to drive me back to work, and again I felt even more that I was in the right place to get my Jeep repaired. Highly recommend Drive Line, quality work, quality people and very reasonable and affordable.
I called drive line of north Atlanta and explained that I had installed a 2” lift my truck and now The truck had a vibration between 15-25 mph. The gentleman on the phone said that should be an easy fix and estimated between $200-250. So I dropped off my truck and a day later I get a call saying my drive shaft needed to be extended along with a few other things and the price to fix it would be just over $500. My question exactly was, “will this fix the problem,” and they replied “yes.” So I agreed and they “performed the work.” Well I pick up the truck and the vibration between 15-25 mpg had gone away but I noticed a new vibration from 0-10 mph that was very bad when starting on a hill. So they told me to bring the truck back, the next day I get a phone call saying the driveshaft needed to be shimmed and it would cost and additional $250... an additional $250 to do something that you should have done in the first place is just poor business.I picked up my truck and will try to find an honest shop that actually knows what they are doing. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know.Hope this helps someone like me who isn’t made of money.
Great Place!!! Great Staff!!! Great Job!!!
I am building a 1955 Chevy truck. I called Dwayne (owner) to ask what he needed from me to build a custom driveshaft. The second call was to give him the information. The third call was it is ready for pick up. It only took three days to make it. It fit perfectly. It was so nice to have a custom part that actually fits. Thank you Dwayne.
Misdiagnosed a vibration charged money for it and wasted a bunch of our time!!! Very IRRESPONSIBLE not calling me back etc etc!!! Then ALLOWS ANDREW TO CALL ME OBSCENE NAMES!!! Very unprofessional bought a new shaft from Autozone and resolved issue!!! No integrity if you want problems take your vehicle to these guy’s
The guys here know what theyre doing. If you have a domestic vehicle with a solid rear axle that needs work, this is the place to go. Though I am sure they work on other makes on models too. Even with all that, they offer competitive pricing.
I needed a driveshaft shortened and balanced. These folks did high quality work on my drive shaft which was aluminum and gave me a great price highly recommended
Unfortunately my experience with this place was horrible. Theyll say yes we can fix your problem, we know exactly what the issue is.. Only to find out after you pay them that the problem you went there to get fixed was never repaired. After fussing with them about the the terrible service, their response is we cant guarantee that the problem we fixed was the root cause, however we fixed what we identified and THOUGHT was the issue. My advice is to shop around before considering doing business with this place..Unethical business......HORRIBLE service
Great shop for anything drive train related. They did some work on my 540i sport wagon sometime ago and did an amazing job. I recently took my FX45 to them to try to trace down a noise I have yet to find. They are pretty straight forward and easy to deal with.
Friendly family on atmosphere awesome
I had to get my driveshaft rebuilt and was concerned I would be forced to spend over fifteen hundred dollars for a new rig. The guys and drive line told me not to worry, that they would fix it up and it would be better than new - for a fraction of the price. They quoted me exactly what it would cost and had it done in several hours. My truck has never driven so smooth and with such power. These guys really are the experts.
Not a pleasant neighborhood...but, they know their stuff and they get it done.Quality work. This is a business other garages will refer you to as their reputation is well known throughout the city.Recommend.
All of the employees I spoke with were polite and friendly. They replaced both universal joints and rebalanced the driveshaft of my truck for about the same price as the cost of the tools to do it myself. Except I still would not have been able to balance it. They also put a fresh coat of black paint on it. It looks new. After reinstalling the driveshaft my truck is driving great. No more vibration. Acceleration has improved. It is also much quieter. I recommend bringing your vehicle to Drive Line Service of Atlanta if you need drive line repairs.
The dumbest shop in Georgia
Had a 1 piece aluminum shaft built here for my truck and was very pleased. Glad I stayed in town instead of ordering online.
There aren’t enough good things I can say about this place. Dwayne (owner) is as good a person as there is and does incredible work. I wouldn’t think of using anyone else for my vehicles.
The only place to go in Atlanta for quality driveline work! The professionalism and quality of work is top notch.
These guys are the best. My 4runners driveshaft was way out of balance. Dwane took it for a test drive and was able to pinpoint the issue by just listening to the noise. These guys were able to balance the shaft and replace the ujoints in a matter of hours. Now it drives just as it did when I first go it. Thanks Andrew and Dwane.
A friend and I dropped off a drive shaft and a set of early Corvette half shafts that had beat to death by the previous owner. They gave us a firm quote and had them finished the next day with two new Spicer OEM flanges, new joints, balanced and painted like new.Thank you ! Great Service!
They have help me greatly multiple times and have always done a great job thank you
I trusted this company and was delighted with the service they provided. They were fast at determining what I needed...and more importantly what I didnt need. They had me back on the road in just a few hours...Thank You Drive Line Of Atlanta! way2workit!-R. Sanford
Great service and prices
The best! these guys know their stuff and turn around is quick. customer service and communication is spot on!
I append to use Drive line service for repair on my Porsche cayenne driveshaft and deferential, they did excellent job on both item very knowledgeable people it is really hard to find experience people on repair German cars, highly recommend it, they been helping me on my cars since 2014, i do recommend to all my friend, meanly i have been speaking with Andrew, very knowledgeable guy so thank you Andrew for all help you did provide me and Owner too, very helpful people.. Thank you guys.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. I had a driveshaft rebuilt for a sports car and some leaf springs added to my SUV. Great service and products.
Made me a rear driveshaft for my k10 very satisfied and they were very helpful. Parts were done on time and at price estimated
I was hesitant at first but Im so glad I came here! You know youre at the right place when other auto repair shops come here for they drive line needs. Seriously... While I was waiting they got mechanics coming in or calling in for their services or advice. Skip the middle man... Come here!
Seems like they just agree to saying most problems are the drive shaft, its disappointing after you pay and its not the issue, and theyre no longer trying to help.
That did a great job and the body shop nextdoor is awesome
Tried to charge me $180 for less than 30min of work, no parts.. way over priced.
I was quoted $*** for a retube and balance. When i brought in my driveshaft it was quickly apparent id need more than a retubing. The employees seemed competent so i told them to do what needed to be done. I got a call a day later saying it was ready and at half the cost i was quoted! What i have now is better than factory and 1/5 of the cost of the cheapest used one i could find.
They had what I needed that day didnt have to wait for it to be ordered..Thanks
They did a poor job. I had to take my car into another mechanic (for a different reason) and he noticed things were leaking from where they did their work. They said they rebuilt it, but they just patched. And the charged over $700. Warning. Go elsewhere.
I went in to have a wheel bearing replaced. They ended up doing a few additional items that I had not requested, but the total came out to be half what PepBoys was charging for just the wheel. Will use these guys again.
Two good experiences with these guys. The second time they could have charged me a ton but instead they showed me a $22 replacement part.
They always do a great job thank you
I give this place a two-star review because of how long it took to get my spring back I was promised the one to two-day turn around and I did not get them back until after a week so my work truck was down over a week with me losing money
Courteous, experienced personnel. They know their stuff.
Old school service with good ol boy service
I Have a fleet of lifted Cherokees. I Have taken all of then to these guys at some point of another. I now live on the other side of the city but always go back to these guys. I guess Im a man of habit.
Im from out of town and they were busy, but they went out of their way and took the time to repair my vehicle.
They are good honest and knowledgeable..
Professional
Four years ago I had the driveshaft for my Audi A6 rebuilt because of a failed center support. It had to be taken apart in order to install the new support which meant that the U joint had to be replaced. Audi says that the U joint is non serviceable. After less than 30,000 miles the U joint failed and I had to replace the driveshaft. I paid almost $600 which does not include labor to remove and replace the driveshaft. This was an unsatisfactory experience.
I feel friendly and professional
