The equipment was fine and the price was good.When returning the equipment there is a sign that clearly says wait for employee to assist during business hours.Well I waited and no one came out. I went in and stood at the door a gentle man finally came over and I said I’m waiting outside for someone so I can return the equipment. He said who told you to wait out there. I said the sign says so. He advised me to backup into a parking spot close by (not what the sign says) I advised him I wasn’t able to backup the equipment properly as I tried backing up earlier and it was not something I felt comfortable doing. He advised he couldn’t do it himself due to company policy. I was advised to just stay there and he removed the equipment successfully.I asked the man was this sign wrong or not up to date with I forming me to wait here for an employee. He said yes the sign is correct. I said so why did you ask me who told me to wait outside for someone. He stated because no one ever said that before..... I just had to walk away because not only did you not come outside to assist me as the sign said someone would do, but then you ask me who told me to do what your company’s signage stated.The customer service needs to be slightly updated please!
***AVOID TRUCK DC 1660 G*******OR JUST AVOID RENTING FROM THIS LOCATION**Where do I start? Easily the worst experience I’ve ever had renting a truck.The truck was TERRIBLE! It was like when you get stuck with the raggedy cart at Walmart that has the twirling & shaky wheel. The check engine light was on the entire time. I told them when I picked it up. Lady at desk said it’s fine it’s just a sensor. Called several times throughout the day because there’s some crazy rattling when you press on gas. The truck felt like it was going to break down any moment. It would hiccup and have trouble accelerating in speed then just randomly slow down. I finally talked to someone and they told me that the truck has been in and out of the shop and that there are no more trucks so I would have to call roadside assistance if I broke down. Yes, that really happened. Also the steering wheel got locked up at one point and I couldn’t get it out of park for several hours. I couldn’t get anyone on the phone to help. I cakes location they again told me to call roadside. I called roadside and was stuck on hold forever. Literally never got through. I finally got it to change to drive. Overall this was a terrible uhaul experience. DO NOT LET ANYONE DRIVE DC 1660 G truck. I really can’t believe they allow anyone to drive that truck. What was supposed to be exciting day turned into unnecessary stress that could’ve been prevented. I will continue to escalate this. No one seems to care.
The U-Haul location on Jimmy Carter Hwy in Norcross is the worst. No customer service exists here. The employees are very rude and disrespectful. They will charge you for fraudulent services and the manager Noel suggest you take legal action against U-Haul for a resolution. Make sure you have evidence because the employees here will like and trump up charges on your account. I’ve never experienced this level of unprofessional and disregard for customer at any respectable business. BEWARE AND AVOID! Also see prior complaints.
This was the third place I visited after making an online reservation. I thought that’s doing so would make this process a breeze. Uploading all the documents requested to cut some time and everything but the two previous places didn’t work. I loved working with this location. They practiced social distancing and I was in and out with truck keys in less than 10 minutes. Checking it back in was just as simple. They have a big selection of trucks to choose from. Save yourself some time and go here first. Thank you
AVOID RENTING FROM UHAUL IF MOVING STATESUse PODS or literally any other companyWould put zero stars if it were possible.On Saturday July 17th, I reserved two UBoxes online for pick up on Tuesday July 20th at Jimmy Carter location in Norcross, GA. I received confirmation emails and texts. On July 20, my moving help arrived to pick up my UBoxes. They were told that there was no reservation in my name and they would need to enter a new reservation for the following day. Despite the fact that I already reserved these UBoxes several days in advance, I was never contacted by anyone at Uhaul. I tried to contact several times and was repeatedly hung up on and had my calls forwarded (as clarified when I began calling on a different number and would be immediately answered but then put on hold and hung up on once my name was heard). The few people I got into contact with at scheduling were extremely rude. BYRON TEATREEE, head of UBOX scheduling, repeatedly ignored my calls and never contacted me. This continued for 5 DAYS until my movers were told my reservation was cancelled without my approval or any contact. They lied to my movers saying they “tried to call me” and cancelled the payment for my movers.I have never seen such DISGRACEFUL customer service and at the CORPORATE level. There was zero empathy for delaying my move, delaying my start at a new job, costing me thousands of money and stress. I will NEVER use Uhaul again and will spread the word about the ridiculous business practices this company uses.
Reserved a truck and a set of handtrucks. They didnt have handtrucks but they didnt tell us that and charged for them. If we hadnt checked the truck we would have gotten ripped off and not been able to do what we rented the truck for.
I made a phone appointment to get a trailer hitch installed. I arrived on time at 8 am, the first in the morning, and was told that it would be at least 2 hours before they could bother to get to it. No one on the phone bothered to tell me that the hitch install process, which should take by an experienced installer, 30 minutes tops, would require hours and hours and I would need to either stand on the curb or walk in circles inside the store until someone decided to get to it. I was the only person in the place. There were more people working there than customers, as I was the only one. I guess they had better things to do that morning. The people there didnt appear to be mechanics, I had no idea if they had the qualifications to be doing that sort of work. There was no waiting room, so instead of sitting on the curb for 3 hours until they decided the do the job that they had agreed to do at the time they had agreed to do it, I took my keys and left the place immediately. I suppose they were nice enough, but I wasnt given a lot of reasons to trust that the job would be done correctly and safely, or within a reasonable amount of time at all.
Hi Nicole we made it! The hitch worked out great! You and your coworkers were great. This is my 3rd experience with this UHaul and they preformed wonderfully. Will have to warn anyone getting a hitch to make sure you do it well in advance. It did take 2 weeks to get the hitch with the world the way it is these days. Would definitely recommend this location.
Friendly staff but didnt tell me where the key was suppose to be. But I figured that out myself. Its inside the storage itself in a little box. Also didnt honor the $1 for the 1st month deal when I asked. Even if its currently posted on the Uhaul.com website.
We bought storage units and they dont have the code to the lock and we live 1 HR and 10 minutes away now we have to come back again and now I need gas to come back
The Customer Service was exceptional! Nicole and Mario are the perfect example of friendly yet professional service. They have an eye for detail which allowed them to tailor the equipment and service package to my needs. I am very thankful for Nicole’s suggestions of what will work best for my moving schedule and circumstance. Mario assisted in a way that showed he is happy to help Customers with their contracted equipment and services. Even when I returned the equipment the exceptional Customer Service continued. At a time when COVID-19 is making many weary, I was glad to interact with two friendly individuals that show in their job performance that they care about their Customers. I have been a Subject Matter Expert and Supervisor for companies such as Apple, Intuit, Victoria Secret and Shipt so I can confidently tell you, the service level displayed by Nicole and Mario Is a benchmark! Excellent job you two!
I have used this location many times before. This time I ordered my truck online so I could avoid the line. When I arrived, my truck was not ready. I could not find my truck so the phone interface assigned another truck to me, which I knew the location of. Only after finding the new truck, did the original truck come out of clean up. (This was now 15 minutes after my scheduled pickup time) I did everything I was asked to do on my phone, but then I had to wait for approval. After another 15 minutes waiting standing by the locked truck and no one coming to assist, I went inside to find 3 employees not helping any customers playing on their cellphones. I completed my transaction inside.
Avoid at all costs. They gave me a truck that couldn’t properly account for its mileage. I ended up getting a very large bill that didn’t look right at all. No one ever went over the mileage or gas at check in like they do at other locations. They said that I just get an email and I can leave. I had to drive all they way back, and the only reason I got a refund is because one of the workers said that the truck did the same to someone else. Had she not of been there, who knows if I would have been able to get my money back. It wasted a lot of time. They knew there was an issue with the truck and gave it out anyways. The manager was not sympathetic, rude, and it was very poor customer service. Make sure that you get pictures of your mileage to protect yourself.
One girl lied to me saying the had no trucks available for the next day and fully booked . Probably because they were closing soon. yet I came that next morning and a bunch were available
Terrible place to get a U-Haul rental.They did not latch the hood of our 26 footer, and it flew open on the interstate which could have killed somebody. I’ve tried reaching out to customer service, it’s been over a week and I haven’t received any calls or information. Avoid this place.
Service is very poor! waste time! It took more than 300 yuan to install a trailer line! It broke in less than a month! Come on Monday to repair and tell me to come on Wednesday! This is the best U-Haul location I have ever been to and I have been to plenty over the years. They understand time is money and they take care of you quickly but professionally. The equipment is always in good shape too which is great!EDIT: Noel Marin is rude and they gave away our reservation. Very upset with the changes they have recently made.
Super friendly, but thats not worth the price. First I choose my location for the rental online. The confirmation required this location for pickup. 10 miles out of my way. Next, I had the trailer 3 hours. When I received the email receipt, they charged me for 3 days and an after hours fee.A call took awhile to get a credit, but refused to send me a revised invoice. The credit will take 3-5 days. Way to run a business on other peoples money.

BAD EXPERIENCE!!!Made an appointment for hitch installation. Went there and I was told that they do not have the part and nobody is there to install de thing at that moment and it will have to be Monday ( Today being Friday ). They are really not taking things seriously. If you do not have someone to install the hitch, just make it unavailable on your website for this day, its very simple.2.5 hrs and 45 miles wasted for nothing.
The self pick-up user experience was absolutely terrible! So many issues with their online system. We arrived at 8:40am to start the self pick-up process. First I forgot my password and had to reset. You need special characters, upper and lower case letters, numbers and it had to be at least 10 characters long - FOR A UHAUL ACCOUNT. Then once you finally log in you have to turn on location services on your device to even begin. I had to google how to do this. And every internet browser (even on the same phone!) or device you use you have to verify with an email code. There are way too many steps, including taking a selfie and uploading pics of your drivers license. And then you have to wait for an employee to call your alternate contact name to verify your approval. It took 20 minutes of trying to get the truck and we still had to talk to someone inside when they opened at 9am. And then they forgot to take our payment so they had to call me once we were home and already moving furniture. So many barriers for the customer. We were just trying to rent a truck for a few hours - not buy a house! Worst customer experience I’ve ever had. Will never be renting a U-haul again!
I reserved a dolly/hand truck the day before and when I came to pick it up the next day they told me they didnt have any. Didnt care at all.
I congratulate the service crew at the U-Haul on Jimmy Carter Boulevard, in particular Horace Mitchell for correcting a flaw in the hitch wiring in my 2005 Toyota Matrix. In a half hour, as I watched, Mr. Mitchell exposed the vehicles rear wiring network and made the necessary repairs. He and other U-Haul employees performed with dispatch and with exemplary professionalism. I was able to pull a small cargo trailer, without incident, about 750 miles over the next two days. I thank Mr. Mitchell and the staff here for working gracefully under pressure.
I had a reservation but when I got there the truck I had reserved needed mechanical attention so they didnt want to give it to me. They asked me to come back in an hour and a half and they would make sure I was taken care of. Daniel was the supervisor along with a yoUnger gentleman, they did an amazing job at making us feel like valued customers. In the end we got a truck to move and $50 off for their truck not being ready on time. But whats more is the customer service we received from Daniel and his coworker. If I ran a business Id want them on my team. Five stars for customer appreciation.
GREAT customer service. They provided me a 17ft truck for $100 cheaper than Penski (12ft truck) and included a cheap rate for insurance. I will definitely be using U-Haul again for whenever I need to. I told them my problem and what I needed and they gave me a quote over the phone. The trucks are easy to drive and get the job done well. Thank you!

Unprofessional. Short staff. Never answer the phone. & overcharged me & no one has yet to contact me regarding my dispute. They left the appliance dolly off the truck which I had to turn all the way around & was told it was my responsibility to make sure the dolly was on the truck!
The general manager named Noel was so rude and had such a unprofessional attitude.I called the president over the location to complain and He called Noel why I was in the store.He then sided with Noel and when I did finally reach the counter He said oh I don’t have any trucks at all.I felt it was in retaliation for complaining on him.I suggest no one rent at this place.T
Got a 14 truck and appliance dolly. My phone reservation was slightly less than perfect, but I was in and out very quickly for my pickup and drop-off. The staff were willing to converse and smile, which made it even more pleasant :) All in all, a very good experience. I will certainly consider them first the next time I need a moving truck.
The van had not been cleaned - someone ate in the van and food bits and grease was all around the driving area. This would have been fine if the rest of my experience was good. It wasnt. When I pulled in to return the van a worker was in front of me was washing a van and never greeted me. 10 minutes later I am still sitting the driver side waiting. I turn off the van and go inside where there is a line. I return my keys to the person I got the van from and say I have been waiting outside and need to leave now. He says no problem, we will email you the receipt. One hour later a woman calls me and says we have your van but not the keys. I said I gave them to the young man at the counter after I waited outside to be acknowledged for 10 minutes. She finds them and apologizes. 3 days later a worker calls me and says I never returned the van. I said that is funny since someone called me that day told me they had the van and not the keys. She cuts me off and someone else gets on the phone. THESE PEOPLE ARE ACCUSING ME OF KEEPING THEIR VAN. Miraculously, they find the van. Never again. NEVER AGAIN.

August 5, 2014 - Had a Tow Hitch with wiring installed on my 2014 Hyundai Azera. Jose did a fantastic job. They were ready on time for my appointment and tested lights to ensure wiring was connected correctly after the installation. First class experience. Will be using them again - unlike the yahoos at U-Haul in Jacksonville, FL.

Made an appointment online to get a Hitch installed on my Buick Enclave. I was able to pick a day and the e-mail stated that somebody would call me to set up the time. Since nobody ever called I finally called them the day before the service and was told they had me down for 7am on Saturday and I was the only person that had an appointment that day. I changed it to 8:30 am. When we showed up at 8:35 on Saturday we were told we were late (there was nobody else waiting or being worked) on and the guy was just going to grab the keys and take the car. My husband stopped him and asked if somebody could maybe come over and talk to us about the installation to make sure we had actually ordered the correct parts online. This seemed to be a huge inconvenience but finally somebody came over to talk to us.We left the car there and 4 HOURS later we were told that the car was ready for pick up. When we get there we walk around the car to look at the hitch but they had put the hitch cover back on (which was OK) but then had mounted the electric wiring bracket for the hitch on the outside of the hitch cover. I dont know much about hitches but even I could tell that that was totally wrong. We went in to talk to them about it and when the guy came out to look at it he actually tried to justify the bracket location (we then asked him how we would use the hitch and the wiring since we would have to take the cover of to use the hitch but the wiring was attached to the cover :-)), he finally admitted that they had done it wrong and had somebody fix it. When I asked what they were going to do about the two holes they had wrongly put in my cover I was told that they were not really noticeable and to move on. He then had the nerve to tell me that this happened because he was being rushed . Seriously, 4 hours later and no other customer for an installation and you were being rushed????DO NOT use this location for a hitch installation. Customer service is terrible and they will not even admit to making mistakes. Have not tried the actual hitch yet but a little worried it might not be right either. AVOID AVOID AVOID
No Customer ServiceWalked in, 4 Employees (guess theyre employees) talking amongst themselves behind the counter. Only 1 other Customer in store, had to interrupt their conversation to get assistance. Asked for China/Stemware Boxes they had No clue what we were talking about. Finally said dishes/glasses and then pointed us toward a corner.Only had 3 boxes, we asked if more, again told us to look for them on other side of store.I dont have a problem with self service but this place was ridiculous!U-haul Executives would highly recommend you do an Under Cover Boss Quality Assurance visit and see for yourselves what great Customer service You receive.

Their is this one white woman that works there, she is beyond rude. Because my husband and I didnt know that you cant have access after 7pm to your storage unit, she started ranting raving about us breaking the rules. That the automatic security will kick in and if the alarm goes off the police will come out. She said I will give you 10 mins to put your stuff back in your storage unit and get out! The next day we went to drop off the rental truck, she started ranting and raving again. Said that we left the place messy. But we put everything back in our storage unit. So how can it be messy? She said I shouldnt have to clean up after you. If you werent so rude, we would have double checked to make sure we didnt leave a mess. Everyone else that works there is very nice and plesant.
I have come to this place many times to get propane gas and everything has been fast but the last 3 times that I have come to the attention is bad they leave me waiting for a long time and to pay is the same I will stop coming here

Over charged me on second day rental and failed to inform me of taking extra money from my credit card account. The amount did not make any sense and was more than if I had just rented it again from the start. Filled the tank full of gas from gas station right up the street so that was a non - issue. When I sent my assistant to resolve the matter the people there used the old well we will need to have him (me) come back in and take care of it diversion. I would never do business with these people again. Going Penske next time.
If a business is slow because there is a lot customers, that is acceptable. This is was not the case here. I waited about 15 minutes for propane outside, and no one came out so I went in. There was a hispanic male employee who said he would be out in a minute so I went back out. Waited about another 10 minutes and nothing happened so I went back inside. I knew he had forgotten about me because when I walked back inside he asked again what I needed. Again he said hed be out right away, but a new customer came in he proceeded to help them instead. After about 20min the manager finished helping another customer out, and helped me instead. I ended up waiting here almost 1hr for supposed quick service propane.
This U-Haul location is fantastic! The staff went out of their way to help us when we were on a time crunch to get a trailer and go. Everyone was so pleasant, especially Cindy!

I moved from ATL to Minnesota. I had to have a 20 ft Uhaul along with a tow trailer for our vehicle. Everyone was excellent especially Chuck. Everything is easier if you make a reservation ahead of time.
I waited 35 minutes to check a truck out and had an appointment. No one else was in the store at the time. They are extremely slow. Once the lady pulled my truck to the front; she then stated she needed to find another because that truck was filthy. Once she located another truck she needed to go back in the store and printout another sheet to document where the fuel level was on the new truck. I’m a pretty patient person but this location is ridiculous. Not to mention I returned the truck on time and just received an email today stating I did not return their dolly. Like hell I didn’t! 🙄🙄🙄
Customer service at the service center sucks, but the folks at the location itself ROCK!! I called the line 3 times, spoke with 3 people, got three different prices, and not ONE of them recorded my quote in the system. All three said they did. #failCharles, the GM onsite, turned me from annoyed to delighted by helping me get everything with my hitch in stock, onsite and installed by Horace in less than 90 minutes! AWESOME!

I had the worst week of my.life I was scammed out of a home left homeless and nowhere to go...thanks to Steve and his amazing crew at uhaul...they made what was a traumatic event for me and family a less stressful situation...I really appreciate the entire crew Deanna Brianna I know Im forgetting somet of the employees...but from the bottom of my heart from my family thank you so much for everything you guys did for us....we will never forget it!!!!!!

NEVER give uhaul your money! The people at this business have no sense of professionalism at all. Crystal Adams, the woman helping me answered her cell phone to have a short conversation while going over my reservation with me. After 45 mins I find out that the truck I made a reservation for 2 weeks prior was not there. I was charged twice to my credit card totaling just over $1,800. I was given a truck with the gas light on. I had the absolute WORST experience of my life here.
This Location is AWFUL!!!!!!! The General Manager Daniel should not be in management. He screamed at the employee that was assisting me and told her that he doesnt care what she had to say. DISRESPECTFUL! The other man in Charge Ronnie seemed clueless and his main task is to throw people under the bus in front of others! DISRESPECTFUL! The only good thing that came out of this experience was meeting Cindy! She was a great help and thats the only reason why I decided to still get a unit here! She was soooo helpful. Other than her I cant wait to finish my move so that I NEVER have to go there again! If zero Stars was an option..BELIEVE ME ID CHOOSE IT!

HORRIBLE! they are rude and the acting manager that didnt even no how to use the computer was racist. He talked down to me and other customers in the store and clearly didnt no how to be a manager. When I returned the truck a lady ripped the keys out my hands and said if you get a refund you will no and she didnt have time to input the information in her system. Do not use this location.

Typically there is a wait to pick up or drop off. The equipment is not well maintained (more of a U-Haul problem than a specific store problem though). At no point during any of my visits did anyone seem terribly friendly or like they cared to be at work. At every visit it seems like there is always something wrong with the computers, either not working or just taking a long time to do anything.
We reserved a trailer online, and the trailer was indeed ready for us when we arrived. However, it took us over half an hour of waiting to acquire said trailer. The staff seemed either overworked or working very slowly, depending on the employee.Also, the trailer was initially received by us with minor damage. However, when we returned the trailer, the employee accepting it asked us what happened here with each instance of damage. Thankfully, we were not blamed or charged for the damage.

When I went to pick up the trailer, the general manager (Viktor) was extremely rude, and when I asked a question, he all but snarled at me like he was going to punch me in the face because I asked. When I dropped off my trailer, there was a different general manager there and he was on the phone with a friend using extremely vulgar language and was pretty much screaming. I waited for 10 mins before he decided to help me, and instead of getting off the phone, he used a headset and kept talking while checking me in. I would avoid this place like the plague.

Never, ever use Uhaul Uboxes for moving. I wish I could write a review on the company in general, but my experience with this location has also been completely unacceptable. I scheduled 3 Ubox pods to be delivered for my move across country from Atlanta to Seattle. Once I made the initial phone call to schedule the pods, any phone call after that it was impossible to reach anyone to confirm their delivery date or time. Any time I would call I would be transferred to the Ubox division, placed on a hold that lasted upwards of 15 minutes each time and then disconnected.The only helpful person I dealt with was the woman who delivered the pods. She was prompt to deliver and pick up the pods when they were loaded. She was very friendly and great to work with.I called 2 days prior to the pods being delivered to change the billing credit card as I had obtained a new credit card with better terms, interest rate and points to use during my move. After calling five times and being told by multiple people they could not change the card information personally, I finally reached someone who stated they could help me change the card. They stated they had changed the billing card on file.However after delivery of my boxes to Seattle (which was very delayed and again, no one could help me figure out where the boxes were or when they would be delivered) my original credit card was charged with the transport cost.I am now on my 5th call to this location to change the billing (as apparently the main Uhaul number cannot do this). Two days ago I was told the card would be changed that day and I would be called to confirm its correction to the new credit card. I never received a call. This morning I called again, and was rudely told that once the card has been billed they cannot change it. I informed the woman answering the phone that since the error was on UHauls end and I called several days before even receiving the boxes, they were responsible for changing it. She stated hold on and placed me on hold for 13 minutes before I hung up and called back. I have now left a message for the manager to call me back as he is in a meeting (the same response I receive every time I ask to talk to a manager) and have little hope he will actually call me back.From the billing issues, to the delays in delivery, to the lack of response when calling, to the infinite hold times when calling for updates, I have received NO help from Uhaul during this entire process and will never use their services again. I will also warn anyone I know moving of their terrible terrible service. Additionally I have left two complaint emails on their website and have NEVER received a response to any of my emails. A terrible way to run a company and I hope this review helps someone avoid the hassle I have had and continue to have.
All I have to say is horrible, horrible. Very poor cx service.And some of them have no respect, cussing & arguing in front of cx.

Avoid at all costs, extremely rude staff and an area manager that doesnt care. I will never set foot in this store again and I advise you to go to any other U-Haul store bar this one.

Went here looking for a truck. There were literally 50+ trucks, vans, etc. just sitting in the parking lot but nothing was available.
Cant stand having a phone conversation with these people. So rude.

Parents got scam by this place one. They’re not fluent in English, so they decided to let it slide. Long story short they rented the truck for less than 30 minutes including the loading times they came back and got charge for a hundred something. Never again.
They are very friendly. There is a weird Mexican dude outside that kept asking if I need help moving things. But he wasnt on their property so I cant really ding uhaul for that.
