When I first began my search for a vehicle, I knew that I wanted to have a relationship with a straight forward and helpful company. After researching some dealerships online I came across American Car Center. I’ve never heard of the company before and didn’t even notice the dealership on Rivers Avenue. The beginning of the process was very simple and my first point of contact with David was awesome! On my first visit I was a little hesitant about the required down payment and if I were going to need a co signer. After speaking with David and Campbell, manager, I received wonderful news. I was given great options for down payment and I didn’t need a co signer. Also, the company offers newer models with low mileage. I’m so happy that I found American Car Center. They have made this a wonderful car buying experience!

All in all it was a good experience. They have some really nice cars. With the amount of miles they should have for the year of car that it is. I dont believe their old rental cars. Due to the lack of miles. I purchased a 2016 Toyota Corolla with 66k miles. Very clean in excellent condition. No scratches or dings. Only bad thing I have to add. Is that they are priced a little over market value. But their interest rates are a little lower than normal for a used car lot. That sale to buyers with not great credit.

American Car Center on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston is an excellent place to shop for all things used cars. They have a really good selection of vehicles available for fair prices. I have been impressed every time I have been here and they make everything very easy to get the car that you want.

DONNOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS PLACE RUNNN!!!! I purchased a car from the place 3 months ago and a week ago the car shut off on me in the middle of driving with no warning. After getting it towed to pep boys and letting them run diagnostics on it . They concluded my engine was completely fried. I had to pay and get it towed again to the Hyundai dealership because American Car Center doesn’t offer mechanical service. Now Hyundai is telling me they have to send my car off to get a brand new engine put in and I can only hope and pray the warranty that came with the car covers the cost of this. I am also over 2000 in rental fees because American car center doesn’t provide loaner cars nor do they pay for rental cars when something like this happens. They play blind to the fact of selling bad cars and how they should rectify the situation by telling you to call your insurance or the warranty service.. and they still expect me to pay my car note on a car that’s literally not driveable it can only be towed.
