I’m sorry but going to this hair store is definitely last resort. I can’t stress this enough but if you don’t have a dire need, take your money elsewhere. The customer service absolutely sucks. No one is helpful or friendly and they are not knowledgeable at all. I’ll ask a question pertaining to a particular product and they are very short or quick on they responses. (I guess I’m lucky to even get that much) I honestly dread coming here and every time I do, I am reminded of why I don’t like going there. Most of the time they don’t have the products I’m shopping for in stock, items are missing price tags or they are overpriced. No lie, they could use a major restructure in there..it’s a mess!!

Never will I ever spend my hard earned money in this store again!!! I was at checkout when HYEWON, an Asian lady at the cash register rang up my purchase and was busy conversing another Asian guy. I took my purchase home only to realize that the pack of razor I wanted wasnt in my bag and I had been charged for it. A few days later I returned WITH THE RECEIPT and informed the Asian male that I hadnt received the item. Would you believe he went back to the date of purchase on the video footage just to see if i was lying about not recieving the razor worth $1.29!!!!! How despicable!!! Mind you other purchases on my receipt was $7 and over. He saw on the camera that I wasnt lying and with an embarrassing demeanor gave me the item. I took it, left the store and never looked back. Future shoppers, go elsewhere to spend your money! This place is NOT it. Go where your appreciated and valued.

I went yesterday afternoon there because I was in need of hair products. The asian lady who was at the register didn’t even look at me when I was waiting right in front of her to pay for my products so I left. We’re in the middle of a pandemic so having to risk our health going out to stores to be ignored is not something I want anybody going through.

I just left this store and I am fuming. My boyfriend and I went there and he was standing toward the front of the store. Two of the ladies that work there was talking about they didnt want to go up to him and the other asked him can they help him. They basically profiled him like he was going to steal something just because he was standing up there. We are from down south so instead of me acting up in the store I put my things back and left out. You cant profile someone just because of what they have on and by the way he was bundled up because it is ce outside. I will never return back to this store and I have been there several times spending a considerable amount of money. Your staff is rude, they carry on conversations as if you arent there, cursing. Im done with this establishment. Ill take my money else where

Unprofessional staff. Surprised they hired the girls that work there! The owners must be afraid to let them go. They are ghetto, loudly conversing on the phone while you get rung up and act as if you’re a bother when asking for help. This could’ve been a great store when I first saw it open but they bring this business down. Will gladly travel a little distant more to the hair store at exit 15.

Dishonest and unethical practices here; buyer beware! For context I have shopped here for years. This review is coming from a formerly long standing customer who never leaves bad reviews. The store dealt with me in such a dishonest way today that I feel compelled to warn people. Today I purchased a defective Andis product from this store. I discovered that the product was defective within an hour of purchasing it because it burned me within the first 2 minutes of use. I went back to the store approximately 2.5 hours after making the purchase and the store owner after expressing awareness that this particular product has an issue of getting hot refused to exchange the product. The store has a policy of exchanges only in original condition within 7 days. He firmly stood by this policy even in an instance where he knowingly sold a long standing customer a product with known problems. He told me that the Manufacturer’s “Please do not return” insert prohibited them from making an exchange and that I had to deal with the manufacturer and that this was standard practice for this particular defective products at all stores including major chains. Except that after looking in to his claim about said “Please do not return” notice and standard practice further I learned that this claim is absolutely false. He is in no way prohibited from making his customer whole by exchanging the product. Yes Target (a chain store) specifically confirmed that they would accept exchanges for this type of product in question where it is defective. Stores that care about customer retention do not place that responsibility on a customer under false claims that they are prohiited by the manufacturer from exchanging the product. Simply put this store sold me a product that I could not use. So I spent money on a defective product that I needed to use today; it’s the weekend the manufacturer’s service dept is not open until Monday so I had to buy another similar product. Meanwhile this store owner just unapologetically made money on a sale of a product that he knew to have problems. This is unethical. I personally won’t shop here again and I am sharing this as a buyer beware; if you purchase a defective product from this store they will redirect you to the manufacturer and explain shipping processes.UPDATED RESPONSE: Updating this post to point out the store owners deception. In their response (screen shot attached) they quote the insert that was sealed inside the Andis packaging as Do not return... What the notice actually says is Please do not return . Do not return. which is a directive and Please do not return which is a request have two different meanings. Clearly the store owner is aware of this nuance as he slyly responded with a modified version of what the insert actually states. They claim that the manufacturer prohibits them from exchanging the product based on this insert please do not return. Yet the manufacturers own website indicates that the first point of contact for returns is the party that sold the product to the customer and to contacting Andis is secondary where the customer has difficulty returning to seller (see attached screenshot from manufacturers website). The simple truth is that the store owner simply does not want to assume the inconvenience of dealing with the manufacturer for a defective product. He hides behind store policy and his lies about standard practices to justify not making a customer whole. He knew the product had known problems. Sold it to me. Then refused to exchange it for a working product mere hours after I purchased it. Andis might be responsible for defects, but the store owner (not Andis) is responsible for knowingly selling defective products to a customer; Negligence 101. and even instances where the store owner is unaware of potential defects, the store owner always has the OPTION to do the right thing and provide a seamless experience for the customer. This store is dishonest, unethical and their customer care is nonexistent.

Sooooo....... when I tell you I cringe EVERY time I go into this place. The customer service sucks!!!!!! Home girl with the horrible blonde mix med sized braids (Dont know her name) she wears glasses and ALWAYS has a very bad attitude. Situation: I asked if she could open a pack of hair so I could see the texture. She says go to the back and look at the hair on display, its blonde. I said politely, Id like to feel this particular one because the darker texture usually is different than the lighter colors. Her: well, we dont want you messing up the hair, with an attitude!! Me: still pleasant, I understand. I decide to take the hair and ask her to put it back in the packaging, she responds, you took it out, you can put it back! Im literally shaking as Im typing this......all I can say is, I thank God for JESUS!!

The staff is so unprofessional... the young girls on their cell phones, not paying attention to customers...not very helpful when asked questions...the music they play in there is so inappropriate laced with foul language and profanity! The staff are not knowledgeable about the products they sell!!. EXTREMLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They need to do better!

This place has terrible customer service. You walk in and the cashier is loudly speaking on the phone with her boyfriend and the other sale associate is putting on make-up. Both had horrible attitudes and made it seem like youre inconveniencing by asking for help. Theyre rude, unprofessional and overall unpleasant. Wont be returning.

The lady at the register has a very bad attitude and half way knows about the products sold in the store . The staff here always changes very often it makes you wonder why . I don’t feel like they respect people of color but somehow employ them . It’s dusty and dirty looking and I hate when I’m forced to shop here when the other hair store in norwalk is closed .
