Best place ever. The price is a little high but the quality is soooo high. It is amazing and they carry many foods I like(cinnamon Bread). This is the only supermarket that I would spend my whole paycheck at in one go.

As helpful as the employees were, could not use the app as I did not have the correct password.

Nice clean store well laid out. Used EVgo EV charging station on the second floor in the back of the garage. Worked very well and accepted a credit card. Being able to use a credit card is very important because if you dont have cell phone service for the network in that area you cannot call the charging provider to take your number over the phone.

Not the worst but not the best fresh and freshly baked food. Really expensive groceries, there are better options for normal groceries.

So glad they have an EV charging station. Its the reason we go to this grocery store over any other whenever we drive up to Santa Rosa. Got our Easter candy there today while picking up a few more miles and were lucky the charger was available. I hope they get more chargers soon, its such a good location being able to shop while charging and being right off the freeway.

Good selection of produce, including items hard to find elsewhere (this week that was trumpet mushrooms and sunchokes). They changed recently from providing pre-cleaned carts to having a do it yourself cleaning station, which was easy enough. Friendly staff, many of whom are buzzing around the store shopping for customers getting deliveries or curbside pickup.

They are not selling you fresh fish and fruits...and the floor near by the cashier is bit dirty... you can see trash everywhere... not sure why they can offer high price with such low quality products .... they have an EV charger so that good for me! However... you can check the pics I took to understand what I want to express.....:(They deleted the worse pics only left better pics...so..minus one star from 2 stars..and re-upload the pics! Total 7 pics! If you see less then 7 pcs then which is meant the pics deleted by whole food market!

I wish to add an update to my post.I went to Whole Foods Novato on Friday Dec 18th at the 7:00 am hour for elderly shoppers. Despite my complaints to the store manager Chris and the regional manager, they still make it difficult if not impossible for elderly or disabled citizens to shop safely during COVID. They dont care about their elderly customers or they would make sure that the aisles are safe and accessible during this special time. DISGRACEFUL

My favorite grocery store however some employees need to be more polite though.

Good selection in a clean environment. 4 stars because it is not perfect, based on some disparity in service. My family can order 3 of the same burrito but the end result will be quite different based in who you get making it (it is unfortunate to get the stingy burrito that cost the same as the others!) There is also a checkout person who we regularly get who is quite impatient and generally unfriendly.

The quality is first rate. Best produce in town. Worth it to come just for that. Also, lots of bulk products that other grocery stores dont carry. But the prices... Theres a reason people call this place whole paycheck.

Called the Bakery and asked for a BIRTHDAY cake with writing on it. Told to come down ASAP or I would miss out.. got there and the same person helped me and they lied and said they dont do that and they had 5 cakesin stock. Total loser move.

Nice place to shop though on a pricey end but very high quality and organic products. Sometimes you get some closeout products with very good prices. Its not much in price difference with other stores.

The pistachio buttercream cake was delicious. Too expensive at $30 for a small cake.

As I write in early May, this store has a reasonable selection. Lots of organic meats and vegetables. It is clean, spacious, uncrowded and other customers are friendly and respectful of physical distancing. Oldster hours start an hour before the regular opening...8am the time I went that early. Staff is outstanding. Price of this, Im guessing, is a 10 to 30% premium over other grocery stores? This particular store is a cut above other Whole Foods I have been to.

Whole Foods has a great variety of organic and healthy foods. I know some call it whole paycheck however if one takes their time you can find many Bargains there including their house brands that are very competitively priced.

Nice, clean, but very expensive even for Whole foods

It is very convenient to shop there yet I wish they would stop putting canola oil which is not a healthy oil to consume in their hot food etc They have nice flowers. Also their cut up pineapple chunks are not all ripe & sometimes inedible.

Whole Foods in Novato is always clean and a pleasant placed to shop.

Im 62 and getting around the store was hard. When I walked in, I was politely greeted by one of the workers named Chris. I told him about my problem. He made sure that my bags were not heavy, and offer to take my bags to my car. He also suggested that I get prime, so that I could get free delivery to my home, which I found very helpful. Overall, very nice staff at this wholefoods.

Store is clean, nicely layed out and items are easy to get to. Employees are happy to help and guide you

The store overall is great- the Amazon cart shoppers/kids are crowded, oblivious to shoppers and make it hard to socially distance.

I visited Whole Foods Novato yesterday and am sad to say that it was a horrible experience. There were a LOT of Amazon Prime Shoppers in the aisles, shoulder to shoulder. No face masks and not interested in keeping their distance from each other or those of us that are local shoppers.They are restricting the amount of the local community shoppers and insisting that we stay 6 feet from one another. Their cashiers are not even wearing masks and just two days ago, it was strongly recommended that all wear masks in grocery stores.I just got off the phone with the store manager who said they were doing the best they can. Oh my. Certainly not good enough. He gave me the usual thank you for sharing and that he heard my concerns. I wont be in until they give their shoppers masks and lessen the amount of them at any given time.

The latest apples are truly the best Ive ever had. Fabulous. Eggs butter the 365 label has never disappointed. However the aisles devoted to specialty waters...specialty pet food..are the stuff of satire. Good cheese.

All fresh and clean, great bread

I arrived to this store to find these mashed potatoes (pictured) on the bar! Asked employees around the bar if they could send out a fresh batch. Oh sure itll be just 10 minutes! 10 minutes goes by, nothing! Manager walks by and I asked him. He says that I their is still a few more bites there. Im like Im not going to eat that! He says it will be 15 to 20 minutes!So I walked out of the store and sit in my car while it charges, yes its electric, walked back in 30 minutes later and STILL NO MASHED POTATOES!!!I asked a young lady behind the pizza shop and asked, oh they must still be working on it in the back! I wait!Manager see that Im still waiting and asks if Im still waiting. Of course I am!He goes in the back and then out comes a rack with food!This guy, with his plastic food gloves on, fist-shook another employee that was the janitor! I definitely didnt like that! They started replacing food on the bar and then finally out comes the mashed potatoes except that, their is no spoon for the mashed potatoes! The guy grabs a dirty spoon from another bar dish and puts it in the mashed potatoes! At that point Ive had enough with this location!!!So I started walking out the door and sees the Im empty handed and asked what happened. I told him and he said that he was sorry and gave me a gift card.This is not acceptable service!

Very interesting setup. Never been in a two story whole foods before. The parking lot is underground, and kind of easy to miss if you dont know exactly what youre looking for. The store itself is absolutely enormous. Over all id say a kind of fun shopping experience.

This is a great place to shop for great food items and always fresh and delicious. Seafood is best in town.

I like this Whole Foods there’s lots of great options and the prepared food is always delicious. If you’re looking for something special you can talk to customer service and sometimes they can order things for you. I also have a really nice bakery and coffee area.

Hot bar food sucks! Same food everyday, lots of carb options, Mash potato, Mac&Cheese, pasta etc.. In the evening there almost nothing, half of the hot bar is closed. A real disservice to the community. I choose to drive all the way to Fairfax to Good Earth where they have way better food.

Whole Foods is amazing! the quality of goods speaks for itself. The Beef,poultry, sea food are all high quality and you can taste the quality. The store is pleasant and all the personnel are friendly and helpful.

I LOVE their Gluten Free pizza! This one is the best Ive had anywhere else here in Marin! Ive tried it with different topping and Im NEVER disappointed. Only problem is they dont deliver or Id get it even more! :-)

Not one pizza made and none in the oven? Never seen that at a Whole Foods before... Employee seemed inconvenienced and acted as if having pizza ready at 1:15pm on a Friday was odd. Horrible food bar choices with the generic Mac and cheese so left without eating. Only good Whole Foods in Marin is located in Mill Valley.

I was accosted by two different women here whilst I admonished my children. My 9 year old son put a granola bar underneath my disability cart while my 7 year old daughter watched and they were running wild throughout the store I asked my kids to wait at the entrance and these two ladies basically gave me a lot of grief otherwise I love the store it’s absolutely wonderful!

I visited this Whole Foods recently and had a bad experience.One of the workers was cleaning tables using some chemical substance. They spray it on the table in the open air, in this case directly opposing me. It gave me a headache and made me very uncomfortable. These compounds were not designed to be inhaled; in fact they are poison and ingestion or inhaling them advises visitation to the doctor (see warning labels).When someone cleans the tables, it seems very unreasonable that they cant be courteous and spray directly into the cloth, covering the spray particulates so that they are directly absorbed into the cloth. This has the benefit of being economical and conserving the material being sprayed.Dear WF: when possible. please use water only! It is rare when water will not do the job; perhaps carrying water and diluted compound is possible. That said, under no circumstance is it acceptable to spray into the open air. Ever!PS - I agree with the other review, their salad / hot foods area isnt as good as San Rafael.

Wonderful reliable made-there soups. Sometimes mix them. Best bread Ive found in Marin - they bake it! Some things cant find elsewhere. Convenient!

I used to frequent the whole foods in Petaluma when I worked near, and they had a proclivity to consistency and good service. This location has let me down a few times in a row now. From burnt (inedible black carbon) to incorrect toppings despite asking for things like no onions. Extra star for great cashier and pliny on hand.

Very healthy options available with extra percent off for prime members. A little over priced though. The cafe, hot bar, and salad bar are all delicious. Vegan donuts too!

Whole Foods Novato has a generous layout and has more space than other wholefoods locations. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Bread is freshly baked here. I like the juice and coffee bar and the staff here again is very nice. Generally I feel the products overpriced.What really bugs me is the food area which offers f.e. four dishes with chicken and one lame vegetarian dish. It happens often in a whole foods store is that utensils are used and mixed with vegetarian and meat dishes. Today there were junks of tuna in the tofu.... I hope more people speak up. Another positive point is the easy access from the parking garage to the store.

Lousy produce. produce employees could care less. produce water spray arrives unannounced. chard bunches 3 leaves. wilted. lettuce crammed in, metal twist tie too tight. each dept inc cashiers the employees unwholesome, apathetic, low intelligence, hate their job. except there are 2 nice guys in coffee bar. unsanitary sample dispensers. illegal immigrant cooks in back, poorly prepared buffet food. sushi people unfriendly. sushi overpriced, no flavor.

Its everything youve come to expect from Whole Foods. Upscale eats, great customer service and a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Where this particular Whole Food shines, a great work space upstairs, an amazing selection of whole beans and plenty of parking.

I love doing a quick run into this whole foods when Im visiting my daughter in Novato. My granddaughter and I grab lunch here often. So many healthy choices.

The employees are friendly and warm. It feels like a small town grocery....which it is!I do wish the hot food bar had better choices....pretty expensive for filler foods.

Best Whole Foods in Marin! Easy parking, friendly staff, large aisles with less crowding. High quality organic products with diverse selection, but you will obviously pay more than standard grocery stores.

Very large. Lots of stuff. Almost a bit daunting in size. Easier to traverse than most whole foods Ive been to. Staff is friendlier. Customers are less intense.

Compared to other Whole Foods, the hot bar at this location is not that great. Sometimes the food is flavorless, and often the same thing is served on consecutive days. Other Whole Foods offer much greater variety and more vegan/vegetarian options. This location also had a fruit fly infestation at its bagel/donut cabinet for weeks! The staff knew about it, but it took weeks to clean out the flies off the food.

Near my moms place. Nice and easy to shop. The customer service is excellent

Compared to San Francisco, this Whole Foods has way more selection and the convenience of multiple free electric car charging stations. They also have a hot food bar, free wi-fi and a place to sit and eat upstairs. I highly recommend if you are in Novato/Marin!

They have tons and tons of meat optionsbut little for vegetarians at this location .it wasan odd placement for the store .The jackfruit was okay .

The hot bar is huge, along with a separate made-to-order sushi bar and a wall of prepared & packaged food.

Worst experience ever! I spoke with management about an issue of them being inconsistent about my having purchased some tea with less than 1% alcohol. I purchased the tea yesterday, yet they wouldnt let me buy it today without proper identification. I would have brought proper id if I would have known that I dont appear to look 21 and if they asked for it yesterday. BTW I have an 18 year old son. Martha the manager was exceptionally rude and ready to do battle instead of apologizing for the inconsistency of their staff. I can accept stupid rules, but I cannot stand when some follow them & some dont. Novato whole foods= poor management, distasteful leadership.

Helpful staff. One of the larger WFMarkets in the Sonoma/Marin area. Huge selection. Parking is a little tight, but not impossible.

The bulk foods section is truly the best out there, also inexpensive compared to the rest of the store.

Since Amazon bought them, I noticed that they are discontinuing some high quality products and are replacing them with lower quality ones, especially in the bulk section. Thats sad!

Friendly staff, large aisles, beautiful store with everything. I like how they mark the special priced discounts for brand products and 365. Nice eating area upstairs and outside. Makes me happy I moved to Novato from San Rafael. It is kid friendly here and my children love going to Whole Foods. The bathrooms are always clean. If you are on the go great salads, chicken, and hot foods to go. There are even helpful, happy staff in the mark-up vitamin area. Its hard to go to any grocery store after Whole Foods Novato. The only 2 things they may want to look at is when you go to Trader Joes they play great music and they have a sample area with samples of recipe and ideas for dinner. They also hide this pony named JoJo so when you find him the kids get a lollipop. My candy loving twin loves it there but my pizza loving twin prefers Whole Foods and the play kitchen. Thank you for the double seated kids shopping carts and all your recycling options.

This store is FUN. They have events all the time. LOVE the produce and whole body depts.
