Can be busy but amazing deli and friendly staff

If I can give a 0 star I would I came there today to get a sandwich thinking because it’s a nice clean neighborhood the deli would be clean my mistake I’m eating my sandwich got to my second one eating that on and found a long hair hanging out my sandwich I’m very upset because who wanna eat someone else hair ugh I’m eating there again they salami is super hard I asked for a soft roll they gave me sourdough The bread was hard as a rock Cheddar cheese was breaking apart I’m just done

Great market with beautiful fresh produce and meats. Freshest looking seafood in the area. We even found a capon here! Definite gem here in Novato. Pricey though.

I have been buying my groceries here since it was Petrinis, then Apple Market, and then Harvest Market. It is a great store with wonderful employees. Ground lambs meat is what I have been buying here the most. A few of the employees that worked there in the past (Abe and Dina) were diligent in preparing the meat as I would ask them to, but the recently-hired ones have been discourteous and unwilling to prepare the meat to my order, making a hash of my Persian Kabob of skewered ground lambs meat that requires the right blend of meats and fat. It behooves me, therefore, to buy my meat from a butcher that cares.

I like this market a lot. The checkers are so friendly and they made me feel really welcome when I moved here last year. The butcher is wonderful. Hes consistently cheery and helpful. A big plus is the $1 and $2 coupons for eggs and cereal that they print at checkout. Great local market.

They need fresher fruit but all else was a dream come true. Good layout and flow for customers.

All of the employees are long time workers at this store. They are very personable much more than other stores except for A few people at TJ’s. Store had evolved and tried to Keep up with customers changing needs. Store is very cleanAnd not too big.

You definitely feel like a tourist in this store, hard to find your go to brands. Wouldnt shop here again.

Its a fine store. Good sale prices. For my visit staff was friendly and quick. Overall prices are a bit high but thats to be expected for a neighborhood market. Plenty of parking and quite location.

I love shopping at Harvest Market. Great meat counter, the staff is so friendly. At the other markets in town I use the self check out because of unfriendly staff.

Excellent produce and meat departments. Harvest Market offers a nice variety of items and very good selection. They are not the cheapest grocery store, that is for certain, but they are a very good community store with great employees whove worked there for many, many years. Overall, bring your business to them because they are worth it.

My dad had a hard time with the deli service and had to file a complaint. Someone I know who works around the market told me that they don’t listen to complaints. Despite that, good food.(All I or even anybody wishes for the place or anywhere is for them to have better-management, I don’t want anyone I know to be fired or for the places to be shut down)

Good food. I like the deli items and burritos/breakfast burritos. Staff is good. Stuff here is a little more than chain stores but thats to be expected especially for a fancy area like marin. I like to hit it up for a snack before I go for a hike around the Mt.Burdell trails which is just right up San andreas...I think. Never really pay attention to the street much now that I know the way.

Way too expensive. Would not let me return $65 zyrtec ( unopened that I only purchased 5 minutes earlier)

One of the best grocery store deli pastrami sandwiches Ive had. Meat was sliced ultra thin, as it should be. Market is nice and clean, very friendly staff (Lisa). Great place to stop and grab picnic supplies on your way to Stafford Lake Park.

I typically find myself at Harvest Market because it is the closest to me, but I do, for the most part like this store. The produce section is a bit small, and it can be pricey for certain items, but its a pretty nice market.

Very nice grocery store. Watch out for the lunch hour as the local high school students tend to swarm all over the store! Thankfully they do open more registers during this time.

My one stop shop for fresh seasonal produce, and the highest quality assortment of fresh local meats, poultry and seafood. The staff is friendly and very professional and its definitely easy in, easy out shopping!!

Prices are a touch higher than the chains, by they save me so much time every time (I dont have to drive downtown) that it is totally worth shopping here. Time is money, people!

Not laid out very well, a little expensive (which is totally understandable in a smaller grocery store) and the selection is pretty limited. But the thing that annoys me the most is that the service is awkwardly unfriendly. To me, that is. I dont live here, I just happen to pass through Novato pretty often so I stop here for snacks and drinks and, while the cashiers are usually pretty chatty with the people in front of me who are probably from the neighborhood (based on their conversation) they literally do not even say hello to me about 75% of the time. Ive taken to saying hello! in an overly cheerful voice with a maniacal grin just to see them react, but Ill probably just stop coming here. I also just heard an overlong conversation today between my white cashier and the white customer in front of me about a woman who overreacted, in their opinion about something, with one of them saying I mean, the two workers here, theyre Mexican and they know were joking! I dont know the full story, but it was enough for me to not want to spend any more money here. They need to shape up.

Recently bought a case of beef ribs that the butcher said were “off the prime”- they looked pretty scrawny when we got them but she “discounted” the price since we were buying the whole case, and even though I was concerned about how little meat seemed to be on them she kept saying how good they were. Since we didn’t have the time to go to a good butcher we bought them. Unfortunately the ribs were horrible- hardly any meat, tough and no flavor. We served these for a party and we’re so embarrassed. We have cooked ribs many times do we know how to cook them. After the party we checked at Safeway they had the exact same ribs for $1/lb less. Will definitely not buy meat from them again. They will say anything to get you to buy from them. Unfortunately we have leftovers, and 3 uncooked racks in the freezer- wish we still had dogs we could feed them to.
