We ordered a part August 5 and paid in full. We were given notice several times it was in route. As of today I still don’t have, I called and spoke lady she was rude and lied, and told me we should have called to verify it was in stock. Then she said it shipped out. At 7 this evening she left a bad review for our business that I was rude as yelled at her. This is very unprofessional and would hope the owner of this company will respond to us and resolve this issue.UPDATE: spoke to the owner- very hands on and appreciative. Great service, received parts as expected. Fast delivery. Would have been five stars, but parts got banged up in shipping. I was able to fix the damage and am very satisfied with my new merged exhaust. Had to modify a cooling tin to make it work, but I think that is just what happens with most new products. As always, will continue to use this company for my vw needs. The crew at the vdub factory are top notch.

Here is the deal. Nice shop, friendly salesman...but, I give one star due to their unwillingness to even entertain a conversation with me regarding what I believe was a defective dash pad. I live in South Florida and drove four hours to come visit their store. On that particular day I spent $852 on products. One of those products was a dash pad to which I installed and a piece of the pad tore in 2 places. This happened overnight and not during the install. I called to discuss a solution and was told to send a Facebook messenger detailing the issue. Their reply was quite straightforward, “due to the fact that it had been installed and no pictures were taken prior to the install, nothing would be done.” My first thought was a picture of what before the install? A dash pad sitting on a countertop? We all know what they look like. Nothing to see there. I subsequently ordered another dash pad of the same brand and installed it successfully a few days later and it seems to be holding up fine. I did not make any modifications to either dash pad prior to or after the install.I’m really disappointed for two reasons1. I walked into their store and spent quite a bit of money. Although I drove four hours I still consider myself a “local.” A person tries to support local business yet any recourse is merely a fraction of what you get from larger retailers.2 I never asked for a full refund. In fact I never asked for anything, I just sent pictures and an explanation. I guess they assumed I was after a full refund. Nothing else was offered, no store credit or partial store credit, nothing to attempt to retain me as a customer.Sometimes items are defective. Sometimes we don’t know they’re defective until we actually use them. I guess they’re too busy to entertain a conversation with me beyond sorry for your loss via FB messenger.These kind of companies have resources available to them to recover their losses in the event of defective merchandise. That should be passed along to the consumer. Even if they don’t have such option, that’s the cost of doing business and retaining customer loyalty.

Its nice having a local shop where you can pick up most of the VW parts youll ever need, but the icing on the cake is that -- unlike with mail order -- you can actually pick up a little advice and knowledge when dealing directly with a brick-and-mortar business. Ive found the VDub Factory to be an invaluable source of information while learning how to maintain my VW.

Lots of parts for all air-cooled models. Pricing is excellent and the staff here is knowledgeable. Worth the 45 min ride but they also offer shipping which is a huge plus!

I own the 1971 VW Volkswagen Squareback from the movie Witness with Harrison Ford from Star Wars and Kelly Mcgillis from Top Gun. Original Condition from the movie.
