Ultra Salon surpassed my expectations. Wendy’s bubbly personality was contagious and beautiful and her ability to cut, color, and style my hair was nothing short of amazing!The Salon staff as a whole were happy, energetic, and refreshing. Highly recommend!

Nice store with a wide selection of affordable makeup brands. I usually do online order and pickup and that process is seamless.

It was great to browse again but because of covid samples are not available anymore. Nonetheless fun! Well stocked, very wonderful sales crew readily available, big change from most other stores these days. I didnt know they had salons inside we are definitely going back for services

I went to Ulta to get the right color of bare minerals. My mother purchased this as a gift for Valentines Day. She was told the makeup will be fine and be the right color. Medium does not work for a light complexion. The woman tried to tell me medium would be fine. I worked high end cosmetics and she was trying to get a sale like she’d done with my mother. They made it very difficult to return items I hadn’t even opened. Offered me a 12.97 credit for my mother’s purchase of over 50.00! Finally after giving the lady three phone numbers she gave me a credit. I found what I needed no help from them. My advice, go to the professional cosmetic counters they will never give you a hard time. And they are trained.

Yesterday I and my daughter had our hair done my Stephanie. I explained that my hair pulls red. She managed to color and high light it. Then carefully placed extensions in. I had - several brain surgeries . So my hair was very short and I wanted to feel like a girl. My hair was short above shoulders. By the time I was done - I had long beautiful- naturally looking hair. I felt beautiful. Another client came in and asked to get the color of my hair for herself. Which tells you a lot. My daughter has thick curly hair. She blew the hair out for my daughter and cut it . My daughter looked amazing. If you want to get your eye brows down - they have an facial specialist on hand. Yes they have a eyebrow bar. But both of my kids got their eyebrows down. Plus a few others I had seen get their eye brows done. Their skin was agitated like they had a reaction. I used the skin specialist and I had no issues. I don’t like the fact that not everyone in the store knew the specials. Which I believe they should all know them. As well as someone called to issue to complain about something and the manager wasn’t professional in handling it. As a bystander I shouldn’t of my daughter shouldn’t have to listen to a disagreement. But the salon portion was amazing :).

I went to pay and the cashier like every other place ask if I wanted to open a credit card account and I said no because my husband would be furious with me and she continued on saying I could use it elsewhere like a credit card and I said that’s exactly why my husband would be furious and then she still continued on and said well you don’t have to tell him. ETHICALLY WRONG HERE!! Obviously, she gets commission on creating new credit card accounts. This should be addresses by management. Is this the face/imagine that Ulta wants to have???

My salon appointment was ok and I asked my stylist for a few hair tips and asked if certain things we true about curly hair that I have heard from other stylist and good products to use for my hair type. Once my appointment was finished I decided to go look at some of the hair products right by the salon. I then over hear my stylist talking about the questions I was asking her and making fun of the stuff I was asking. I felt so embarrassed and thought this was super unprofessional. I will find a new salon.

I had a hair appointment (2 weeks in advance) scheduled for 1:15pm. By 2:45pm my stylist still hadn’t started on my hair... I finally decided to leave. Wasted an hour and a half of my day. I gave 2 stars because the employees were very nice. I was just very upset with the lack of consideration for my time. (And I didn’t get my hair done after all of that)

Well reviewing my first time visit with Ocala’s Ulta Salon. I was scheduled with my daughter for a simple wash and trim. Scheduled for 3:30 appointment and it was 5:15 and not attended yet! Then asked to perhaps get eyebrows done to kill some time while waited and the attendant stated the girl is at lunch and we cannot service you! So ended up walking out and not having any service done 2 hours wasted. Give it thumbs down because that’s why appointment is set up if not then it makes it a stand by appointment! Rather keep My girl at GREAT CLIPS! 💯 better ☺️

I had a friend dye part of my hair lighter, but it didn’t look so good. After getting a recommendation to go to Tiffany, I set up an appointment to get it fixed. I have never gone to get my hair professionally done. She was a MAGICIAN with my hair and how she fixed it. I LOVE IT. I was planning on using temporary pink dye for the highlights, but it looks so good that I might just keep it how it is! When I get my hair done again, find me at Ulta with Tiffany. She’s not only a great stylist, but a kind person to chat with!

Horrible experienced I had on hair appointment in this store at Ocala, Florida. I made an appointment by phone and approached there 5 minutes early. Lady and manager both said I had to no appointment and it’s systemic issue may be. Seriously!! People can come over all the places. Very unhappy and these people are not even sorry about it. Never come back there again and will stop my friends and family to go there as well. I also complained to the corporate office.

Found very few Origins products & found NO Estee Lauder. Did not see Aveda either...not too much interesting to look at after realizing how few items of true quality were in stock.

I came to see if someone could fix the damage done by another salon downtown. Jessica did not disappoint. She was very knowledgeable about my hair type (fine/thin/blonde) and had great suggestions for what we could do to make a horrible hairstyle look sexy and professional. The moment I walked thru the door, I was greeted with a warm hello and a friendly face...she asked if I needed any assistance and handed me a basket. While shopping in an unfamiliar store I was greeted once again by another associate as Im sure I looked just as confused as I was aimlessly wandering around the store looking for certain items on my list...she took me right over to where I needed to be and also gave through Instructions where other like items were at as well. Chexk out was very quick and just as friendly!

Jessica at the brow bar did a wonderful job on my wax and tinted. Jessica went about and beyond and helped me get some much needed make up after our appointment. I HIGHLY recommend Jessica to anyone that visits the brow bar, youll not be disappointed!!!

I had an exceptional experience at the ulta beauty salon with Wendy! She saved me from ruining my hair and then surpassed my expectations and now I love my hair again!!! Elisa is the best hairstylist and colorist Ive found since I left NY 16 years ago. She only works weekends now, so you have to be flexible.... so very worth it! Shes trimmed and breathed new life into my semi long hair with layers...shes done incredible things to make my hair color dimensions. 100% recommended

Your typical ULTA store... nicer than the one in the villages. The people who work here are always really nice. I dont use the salon so I cant write a review about that. Their CBD product selection is really small... but what they do carry is very good quality. The only main complaint I have is that it takes forever to replenish stock on items like PTR and Truly (this was a pre-COVID issue).

Well stocked :) if they dont have what you need wait a day or two check again it will most likely be there!

See Karen at the Salon! I have seen her for almost two years now, and she is great. She really takes her time with you and makes sure you are happy with the final product. She is very understanding for the few times I have had to move a scheduled appointment. My hair looks awesome, and I get asked all the time where I go. Prices arent the cheapest, but I love Karen and how awesome she makes my hair look!

Zero effort.... Im disappointed. 😞 Michelle gave zero effort to her own look for the day so that should have been my outlook. I came to my first Ulta experience ever with photos in hand and hope... Michelle seemed new. She had to cut my hair dry then wet then dry again. Then end result, I looked exactly like the Lesbian on Orange is the New Black with the black hair... Yes the big one... I looked nothing like ANY of the photos. Problem is.... I had to go to work. I couldnt address it then. I had to wait two days looking like this feeling awful to get what she really did to my head.... A 30-year professional advised me at A New Look hair Salon that the following techniques where ignored horribly: a visible ledge left around.my entire head, thinning throughout my entire head and crown so bad when the razor should edge should have been used, long hairs found behind ears (both), huge chunk of hair found on left side for no reason.... Ulta person got disconnected... my hair was awful. It looked like it was a fake box on top. Im posting pictures on Facebook. Ill never be going to Ulta ever. This was a horrible and lazy experience.

Beautiful store but they didnt have tweezers that are held like scissors had a pair for many years made in the the USA misplace them and now I cant find a store that sells them in Ocala Florida very disappointed

Jessica was the girl that helped me, she was very knowledgeable and took the time to figure out what my face needed. I bought some lipstick, liner, mascara, a new primer, and cream, and hair stuff. They didnt have something that we tried on my face, so I got one like it, and she gave me a sample of what was used, so I can decide which one I like best.

I normally do not go into ulta at all just because I’m not the type to wear a lot of fancy make up. But I was looking for make up for a special occasion. My experience was amazing. Ryan (Clinique counter), took the time to find my exact match of foundation, showed me some techniques, and really took the time to understand what I was looking for and how to help me. (Which took a lot because like I said, the make up I do wear sometimes is from the dollar store). He took the time to find the right lip color to match my skin tone for a more natural every day look. Walked out of there looking like a new woman. Everyone was very helpful and nice. Thanks Ryan, and thank you ulta.

I Love Ulta!! When I went on Saturday they were having a big Urban Decay show. I ended up buying the Vampire Stamp Eyeliner kit and am already in Total Love with it!

I made a huge mistake not reading the reviews before booking my appointment. Had I done so, I would not have subjected myself to a horrendous experience. Hopefully my review will help others make an informed decision. My request was straight forward - color the roots to remove the gray, trim my bangs which were cut less than a week prior, and style it with curls. Easy right? Brittany did a great job on the color and the bangs but no curls. Why ask how I fix it if you are not going to do what I ask? No biggie, she made it look nice, just a little disappointed that I didnt leave with curly hair. The cost of a one-step color and bang trimming was a whopping $100. No they are not afraid to charge thats for sure. I gave her a $20 cash tip and proceeded to the register in the front of the store to pay for the hair service. The woman at the register handed me a flyer telling me how I can accumulate points and points can be redeemed for money off future purchases. In that same flyer was a coupon for first time customers for hair service - 30% off. No mention of the coupon during the visit as its obvious they dont want to give any discounts. That evening I called the store and got no where fast with 2 different employees and was told call back in the morning and speak with a manager. My husband went to the store the next day to get the credit of $30 (30% of $100) and after more aggravation and most employees unwilling to assist, Misty (store manager) gave him a credit of $22.50! She states the register figures out the discount. They itemize each service: $75 for color, $12 for special ingredient in the color, $13 for bang trimming. To a consumer, those items were all ONE VISIT, ONE SERVICE. The coupon is misleading. At no time did anyone apologize for the misunderstanding and do the right thing. I end this post by saying I am baffled how a store can be so arrogant with their overpricing when their customer service is sub-standard!

If I could give ten stars I would. I made my biannual trek to Ulta and today happily greeted and helped by Kristen. Shes very knowledgeable and never once made me feel cosmetically challenged! (But I really am) because of her and others at this location is the reason why Ocala Ulta is my go to place for anything cosmetic!!!

The customer service is horrible.Everytime I go to the store everyone is busy looking them self in the mirror or having a personal conversation. Employees never acknowledge clients when they walk in,Beauty products all over the place,full of kids with no training at all.I mean they lucky to be the only one in ocala otherwise, it would of be close!!!!

I am a regular customer but today you lost one! I came in and they had 2 palettes and the price said clearance $4.99. I knew it could be a mistake, so I called someone that work there and they said yes it is $4.99 and if they tell other wise you show them the clearance price and they should give it to you at that price...So I went ahead and grab some other things and went to the cashier and she told me that it was not on clearance and I show her that it a clearance, she said sorry it was a mistake I can not give it to you at that price. I got upset but I bought the rest of the things but thats the last time Im buying something from there...That was their mistake and they should have honor their mistake!! From now on Sephora will be my store they are more friendly and wouldnt treat a regular customer like this!!!

Awful store!!! Ive been there 2 times to purchase products and once to redeem a free gift coupon...horrible experience every time. First trip they didnt put all my purchase in the bag for my wedding and refused to give me money back until they inventoried the store to see that they had an extra product. Also didnt give me the reward points for my $200 purchase. Second trip, when I returned for my refund after they called to say they had an extra product in inventory that I could pick up or get my money back. When I arrived and waited in line for ever I was given a hard time about wanting a refund and had to convince them that I was told by the manager I could get a refund because I only wanted the product for my wedding which had passed. Third trip to get a birthday eyeshadow palette after receiving an email from Ulta rewards. Waited in a very long line to be told we dont have any of those... you can try back Thursday if you want. Ulta in Ocala sucks!!

The staff is always helpful and I can usually find what I want in the shop, however, it would help if they had more variety of high end makeup by others (like Kat Von D or NARS). There is always a huge section of the store devoted to Bare Minerals and if you dont use their products then youll have to find the products you do use in a much smaller section. They now have a Benefit Brow Bar which is great, but it never seems like they are staffed enough for an influx of people who want services. Overall a good experience if you can shop when there arent many people there.

Went to the Ulta Salon for the first time today and Carrie was my stylist and she was super friendly and really knew her stuff. I was just going in for a root touch up, and while I was in the shampoo bowl, I decided that I wanted to have some spontaneous red added to the ends of my hair and she was all for it and knew exactly what to do! Once she was finally done blow drying and styling my hair and finally let me see the end result, it was EXACTLY what I had pictured in my head, exactly what I wanted! I have a follow up appt in a couple of weeks and Im really looking forward to it :) I would for sure recommend this place to anyone looking for good service and stylist who know what their doing! :)

They have a selection but the store is a little dirty. The workers are a little aloof. Their brand of product that was purchased hasnt help up well. A lot of tampering with the floor merch. Better off buying online.

I had one bad experience in store but ever since reaching out to the store manager Bridget, I have had nothing but a very welcoming and wonderful experience. Every time I come in now I go straight to Bridget because she is so informative, knowledgeable and very kind. Plus she is great to talk to. I have had to bring my kids in with me occasionally and they are very open and understanding with that as well it is definitely a no judgement zone and all I can say is that I absolutely love Ulta and since the meeting with Bridget and talking to her my experience has been even better. I wish I could take back the minor setback from the beginning..

This is my favorite store, they have even better stock than all of the Ulta stores in Orlando, and even the one in The Villages.I definitely recommend, please keep it going on!

Zero - went there about 5 weeks ago for haircut -- good cut from Karen -- ( that is why 1 star) had appointment for a trim today -- first when I called last week -- the girl who finally..... answered the phone tried to take my confirmation call and rebook it with herself -- after the date I needed it ( wedding out of town) -- then today I arrive there and they say Karen is out sick -- they will reschedule -- well -- too late -- I drive 30 mins to get there -- they say they left me a voice mail -- well not sure whose phone but it certainly did not get to mine -- should have listened to the prior reviews -- I will NEVER go back there for hair nor will I ever shop in their stores -- Total lack of customer service.....

OMG I love this place. Everything is always so neat and clean. Plus they always have great deals on makeup. As a makeup hoar...der this place is the bees knees. There is always a super friendly staff member to lend a hand or share an opinion and help decide which shade is the best or which eyeliner to pick. This place is less snooty than Sephora and makes you feel more welcome and not scared to use the cleanser when you fill the back of your hand and forearm with swatches. Possibly my favorite place in the world.

The quality of the products were good,but there were only 2 employees in the whole store and they were doing make-up for clients. Not enough workers for how busy the store was. We watched multiple people walk in and leave because of this.

I absolutely love this Ulta they dont bother me while shopping, they have Improved on customer service. The only downside is when checking out they never have enough cashiers and they are extremely slow.

They have both pricey and cheeper brands but all good quality. Good service. Although they have testers there is nothing there but water to try to get it off. I had lipstick swatches on my arm all day 😂

I dont even know where to start..these people SUCK! I made an appointment to get a formal hairdo done for my WEDDING five days before. Yes it was kind of last minute but other plans fell through and I apologized. I was soo happy to find a salon that was actually going to be open the day of my wedding seeing as it was the Sunday after Christmas. Well the receptionist said that they had a girl who would be available for me that day and assured me everything was going to go fine as I mentioned I was a little stressed since it was so close to my wedding. The next day the girl who was scheduled to do my hair called me to tell me that she did not know why they would schedule her to do a formal hairdo since she was bad at them. I was horrified but desperate of course so I asked if there was any way she could still do my hair; she then told me she would and would get help from a more experienced stylist. The morning of my wedding day I get a call from the receptionist telling me that they would have to cancel my appointment because, everyone called out sick! Unreliable and unprofessional never go to this salon!!!
