The young men that work there at PepBoys are truly the best and very knowledgeable. I have always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness at that store. Ive had all my questions answered and parts order and help with all my cars needs. The store is very neat and well kept and prices are better than the competitions. I am a regular customer of this store, just for the fact of the friendly attitudes of the employees that work there.

Not a bad selection inside and weren’t rude but my truck was making a noise and they told me it was my rack and pinion assembly and that my brakes had sum leaking on them and the needed to be changed out completely. However I decided to take it to Toyota instead and they said it is my both my front wheel bearings and rear differential. When my father told pep boys this they said they had a work order for this which wasn’t true because they only had a flush to be done to it as I had my paper work for my quote and they never even took my truck in the back to later think it was my diff. Toyota also told my my brakes had no leaks and nothing leaking on them, no rack and pinion issues at all and they told me they aren’t gunna change any of my brakes cause they aren’t work close to the estate of needing to be done so.

Good people working the service desk but I arrived at 8:45am and left around 2pm. Took over 2 hours to put on the tires the first time then they drive the car up front and tell me that they put the wrong tires on the wrong rims so they started the whole installation process again. A 5 hour tire installation for a set of 4 tires is ridiculously long.

Today we came to purchase a light bulb, first CSR was helpful then he directed us to parts and services to help us to remove the light bulb. Danny seemed like he did not wanted to work because he said you tried to watch any YouTube videos end quote. He was just very rude and didnt seem like he wanted to help out. At the end of the day we just went to another store. I dont recommend this place at all. Theres other places with better customer services.

Mark did an amazing job on our vehicle. This location has very good and reliable people. My husband and I recieved great service here. Very polite and patient despite their HIGH workload. I have taken my car here for several years and Ive had no issues with their service. They truly try to help you out and work with you as best as they can. Communicating with people at a calm respectful level will get you much further than arguing. Despite our unique and difficult situation the staff was very patient and more than willing to help. They always provide great service and most reasonable prices. I am very appreciative of the service they recently provided.

I went there with an appointment to do annual uber inspection and there was a medical lady at the desk was so rude and she said she doesn’t have application form . I went there yesterday to book my appointment and didn’t tell me anything. I got a day off to do my inspection today and she just ignored. No one there to help . Theses people learn what is customer care before they offer jobs for this people . I hate this .

They always have what I need in stock, and they have done work on my car that I usually dont have the equipment for. I would give 5 stars, but when doing a brake job, they insisted on a Fluid Flush & Replacement which cost over $60.The amount of brake fluid in a Civic should cost no more than $8-10, so its a bit of a stretch to justify the cost on that.Aside from that, I have received some decent rebates and coupons in the mail from them, including $65 Rebate Prepaid Visa & just the other day I got a $20 Store Credit in the Mail to use at their store, same as cash.

I brought in my 2006 Honda Accord due to an Engine light. Dave, who is a master ASE certified tech, was able to address the problem and fixed it. He is very transparent and showed me what the issue was. Being a simple fix, he had it done for free and reset my engine light. I now have a reputable place to trust for car maintenance. I was just at this location trying to buy a socket. I grabbed my item and went to the register. Stood there for 10 minutes literally. My wife was next door browsing and when she came to see if I was done I just left instead. A worker passed by me as Im standing at register and did not acknowledged me. There was two others in the back and saw me and no one came to assist me. There was only two others shopping so its not like they were busy. Ive been looking for this part at 3 other places. Was happy to finally find it. Ive decide to get it from Amazon. Its a shame that businesses are going down because of technology but this is an example of why. Bad service. In my case no service.

Let’s just say they don’t like their job and don’t know how to be polite to people. Simply came in to ask a question about their speakers and got attitude. Feels like I dealt with people from high school but hopefully not every employee is like the ones I dealt with from that day. Kind but incompetent staff, left my car here for an alignment, called the next day (they said it would take less than 24hr) glad I did because they didnt know what my car was doing there as they had lost my paperwork.So I cleared it up and said I needed it the next day for a trip. 24hr later still not complete.Next I hear them talking saying they dont know if the work is done.Everyone I have spoken to has been nice, but very frustrating experience.

My car died this afternoon at Mission San Luis Rey. I called the closest Pep Boys after it was jumped. From Dave to Tony, both helped me, the service was thorough, quick and they could not have been nicer. Friendly, caring and accomodating down to my German Shepherd that happened to be with me. It was late afternoon and I was pretty stuck. They made the entire ordeal as painless and stress free as possible. Very pleased and very grateful.

I would give these guys seven stars if I could. Two times within the last two weeks I have had unrelated car issues. Both times they have been helpful, courteous and willing to answer any of my questions. The first time, I just had a loose battery cable. They could have sold me a brand new battery and I never would have said boo. After the recent rain, I need a new wiper blades and I had a low pressure tire indicator on. Both issues were fixed within minutes. After checking all four tires, they said I just needed air. I havent had any issues since. Thank you, Pep Boys!

All i have in my glove box are Pep Boys envelopes, which mean they do everything for us, and have been doing everything for us for more then 14+ years. Great location, great service, great employees! I found out my car needed to stay the night, so they hooked me up with a Lyft ride home. My husband didnt have to come get me, and I didnt need to pay. Highly highly recommend!!

I am very disappointed and upset with the customer service. My dad walked in this afternoon to get his tired installed when the STORE MANAGER as he said he was treat him so bad and was also being racist since my dad doesnt speak fluent English .I want to know how would tell a customer to make up their mind thats very disrespectful and show no professionalism so as a poor customer service. My dad requested an appointments and he said he had no appointments available until I ask my dad to put me on the speaker so i could tell this guy what my dad needed. I will escalate this to his supervisor.

Appointment set for early drop-off, so went at 7 which was the time indicated on my confirmation sheet. Got in a few minutes early and waited parked in front while the employees went in. At 7, went to the front door and waited while watching the crew stay towards the back of the store, chat, and have coffee. After it was clear nobody was going to come and open the door or otherwise take interest, I left. Maybe this place is good once everyone is awake, but dont know and dont care.

I called Alex who Priced matched and gave me AAA service when I arrived, he also had the mechanic perform overall checklist on my van to see what else might need attention. I went in after another shop stated they couldnt remove my security lug nuts that it would take an hour due to it being aluminum blah blah blah. I knew it was BS because I tried but my impact gun wasnt strong enough. So I went to PepBoys and was taken care of right away! 30 seconds! Amazing!

I had a coolant leak on my 2008 bmw 328i so i went to this pep boys to get a leak test done. It was a reasonable price i think, only $35. So they contacted me and said there is a leak in the upper radiator hose and also the water pump. This would cost $1382 to fix. He then said that the car has 2 water pumps, an electronic one and a belt driven one and the one that needs replacing is the belt driven one. I was surprised because i thought my car only had an electronic one. So i looked in my repair manual and sure enough there is only an electronic water pump. So i looked up the part number for the water pump they gave me and it was an electronic water pump. So they lied straight to my face and tried to scam me out of $1000+. So later that day i took apart the splash guard under the car and looked for leaks. I saw that the radiator hose was leaking really bad but no leak from the water pump. So i went to the auto parts store and purchased a radiator hose and installed it. Now i have no more leaking. I believe honesty is the more important aspect of being human and at least one person at this pep boys is not honest and will try to rip you off. I do not recommend going to this pep boys to get repairs done.

Made an appointment for Sunday October 14th at 9am. I get there about 20 min early, when they open I go in and check in with them. Im told its going to be 2 and a half hours. I ask the lady working the service counter its going to be 2.5 hours even with a 9am appointment?. She tells me there are 2 people ahead of me and she only has 2 workers on staff. Then proceeds to tell me we dont do appointments on the weekends and doesnt know how we all made appointments. I told her that they do make appointments and that we all made them online. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this experience and the fact that she just brushed it aside as I was the problem. Most people bring their cars in on weekends to have work done you should have more employees working to cover this issue. Complete waste of my time dont bother scheduling an appointment for the weekends because they dont honor them.

The only reason Im even giving ONE star is because they said they were helping me, a homeless, jobless, disabled veteran, to help make the repairs they were doing more affordable! However, they didnt DO any repairs. They tightened some boots, and added some flat washers where an extra long bolt was used, and charged me over a thousand dollars. But, in doing so, they made the initial dangerous problem SO much MORE dangerous, that when I took it out on the road, my vehicle got such a dangerous and EXTREMELY POWERFUL shake, that I had to stop the vehicle immediately on the freeway, putting me in great peril. I then took my vehicle to Off Road Warehouse, where they inspected it, and showed me that ALL my shocks were REALLY bad, and ALL my control arms were BROKEN!!! Youd THINK those issues would be caught by the mechanic at Pepboys. So... Looking back at this post, I believe there should be a 0 in the rating system!!!!!

These guys are great!. I brought my car in, to have some hood struts/shocks replaced and asked if they could also take a look at the noise my car was making. I was scared to take it back to the bmw dealership because i lack trust with them after I caught them recommending something they forgot they had already recently fixed. So i asked Pepboys to look at this new problem I had with my car and they found the problem right away without ripping me off with unnecessary additional test and fees and luckily it was something simple. Thanks guys!

Carrier bearing replace for a 99 f250 SD. Brought it in, they told me its about a couple hours. They call me back in 20 telling me it needed a press and they didnt have the equipment. A little bit of research showed me its typically done with highly specialized piece of equipment called a BEARING PULLER. So if Youre looking for floor mats or shiny bits for your can...they aight.

A very poorly informed female employee that I spoke with over the phone told me that any warranty work I got done in the past had to be done again at the original store I first received that service from after I told her that Id like to get my rotors and brakes done but that everything should be under warranty. I told her if she could please look up past service orders and she continued to tell me that before I never received service from the Oceanside store she wouldnt have access to that info. Which is obviously a lie. I was very disappointed. Sadly I didnt get the employees name but I advice everyone to call around to multiple pepboy stores because at each one they all tend to tell you something different.

I went to change my oil, and they forgot to change the oil drain plug causing a leak of oil.In addition: they changed my original appointment and when I told them, the woman in the front was rude about it. I had to return because the Service light went on and they forgot to put the next service oil sticker on and told me the light was a dealership software issue which cost $150 in the dealership to find out it wasnt a software issue but an oil plug issue making my car leak oil.

I ask them to go ahead and check in my car to put me in the que. Alejandro said dont worry about it, well take care of you on Thursday. I come in early Thursday morning, and they tell me that they are completely booked and ask me to schedule an appointment?What kind of management system is this? Like heck id trust them with my car.

Brakes were starting to squeak so I took them in for an inspection. Asked the tech to adjust my parking brake because 1) I forgot to ask them before hand and 2) It was supposed to ensure that they actually took the tire off and did a thorough inspection. They told me they didnt hear the squeeking when they drove it, that the pads and rotors look fine, and that I probably just need a beefier braking system to compensate for my 35 inch tires. Ive had 35s for years without this problem and know many other people with 35s as well. Got in my truck to leave and discovered the parking brake wasnt adjusted but they instead decided to adjust my seat and passenger side tow mirror. If you have tow mirrors, you know how annoying that is to have to adjust the manual portion by yourself. The guys inside were polite, though, and did give me military discount, so I ended up wasting a little over $13 and 3 hours of my day with nothing to show for it but still squeeking brakes, no parking brake, an out of whack tow mirror, and needing to readjust my seat. Not what I would call a pleased customer
