We’ve been taking our vehicles to Conovers for over a decade. The place has grown quite a bit, adding a country style cafe. This to me is a sign that they’re doing things right and able to grow. I purchased one of the Carson Cargo Trailers today. Daniel was very good at answering my many questions before I went to their lot. He never made me feel pressured to buy before seeing the one I was getting that day. The trailer arrived this morning. It looked very good so made the purchase and it is home now. My experience with Conovers, and specifically Gary; could not have been better! I brought in my 27 travel trailer with an axle spindle issue, it was determined that a new axle was required. Gary made sure the install went smoothly, all new bearings, and all four wheels on the trailer were aligned perfectly. Really friendly people. Asked for copy of AAA inspection with oil change but did not receive. Until I asked they told me all look good. Except tires. They did not rotate nor gave me an estimate to replace bc tires were bad

I called them ahead of time to ask if they were comfortable installing new racing tires (low-ish profile) on new chrome wheels. They were and did a good job. No new marks installed on the wheels which is all I wanted! I wouldnt call the job cheap, but Im new so SOCAL, so I cant really compare it to any other shops. In the end, they took care of my new wheels and tires, so Im happy! Good customer service from my initial phone call to walking out with my new wheels.

Conover Automotive is a family owned business and I have been going there for several years now. They are honest and just great people to know. Theyre not push and they do excellent work. I have a 2013 Lexus ES 300h with almost 280K miles on there. It still runs really well and never had any problems (Knock on wood!) Thanks Dan, Luke, Gary and the rest of people who continue to do amazing work! They even have a cafe with great food! Highly recommended for any of your maintenance needs for vehicles. I went to Conover this morning without an appointment to see if they could help me fix a sticky trailer coupler. They were really busy and didn’t have time in the morning for the technician to examine. The owner, Dan walked out and fixed it himself at no charge. All I needed was a little WD-40. I will definitely use Conover again for my trailer repair needs. Thank you so much for helping me!

I arrived at Conover, and was pleasantly and immediately helped. Had a leak in my tire. Gary took care of me immediately and patched up my tire, installed it back on, and sent me on my way! PS! They are friendly and want to help. Many things that the big chain companies like Firestone and Discount tires wont do, Conover will. Not to say they would allow an unsafe vehicle to leave their shop, but the left and right lateral limits of what they can reasonably do safely are wider than those of larger companies.They also have a small eatery and a nice waiting room if you must wait.Great local place. Very helpful staff.That said, if it can be done at a chain you may pay less, so if I could subtract just 1/2 star I would, because if it was not for Conover wheel and tire, what I wanted to get done would have been an impossibility.Update: I came in early for an oil change and rotation as I have fractured my ankle and crawling around under the truck would be a pain. I had somehow received an apparently incorrect quote on the job, but Conover said they would hold to it.They now also have breakfast and it is pretty good. I had the chicken Dijon and the wife had the breakfast bagel that has eggs, avocado and bacon. Both very good.

Purchased a Mirage car hauler (yes they sell some trailers here as well as tires/service/repair autos) from Brandon yesterday. He has a GREAT attitude and his customer service is excellent! He had a somewhat perplexed look at first when I asked if I could tow the trailer with my truck before I purchased it (a previous trailer I had purchased tracked and towed very poorly) but he was more than accommodating and allowed me to take it and pull it down the freeway for a couple miles. The other gentlemen behind the service counter are also very friendly. The trailer is very solid and well built. Very happy with my purchase! Thanks again Brandon!!

Its always a little nerve racking to look for a new mechanic. Will they be honest? Are they affordable? Is thier work good? All of my worries were unfounded with Conover. Thier experience with my specific vehicle and its issues was immediate just upon calling for quotes. Thier honesty and integrity over the phone won my appointment and the overall experience earned my repeat business. Its been 2 weeks and every time I get in my car I am reminded of how healthy it is now and how grateful I am to Conover for taking such good care of it! I would definately recommend them! Price was very decent for the amount of work I needed done. Fortunately I live within thier range for drop off and pick up, but they also have a cute cafe attached in case you spend some time there. The employees are all friendly and knowledgable and it was an overall great experience! Thank you!

They have national coverage for warranty which is important to me because I drive a significant amount. For me, having trust in a auto repair shop is a must and I have complete trust and confidence with Conover.

Truly one of the best,friendly,honest, clean shops around. I come from a family in the automotive industry and these guys are still my go to! They even work on my trailers! Luke and Gary are extremely knowledgeable and will work on any job, from basic matinence to vehicle modification . I know my truck will always be done correctly and in a timely manner. Plus they have a sweet coffee shop next door with a rustic/ barn style decor waiting room!

Ive been taking my 2002 Volvo S80 to Conover for a couple of years before being transferred to Austin. I will say the owners and the folks that work for Conover are the most honest, dependable with no hidden agenda organization I have ever dealt with. When they tell you something needs to be worked you can believe every word. If you buy extended warranties they honor everything, no questions asked. It will be virtually impossible for me to find as reputable group here in Austin. When I return to So CA in 2018 I will take my cars and my childrens only to Conover. They are the best bar none!!

Good customer service and good cookies but a little over priced. $140 for just drum brake adjusting. Didnt need any parts or nothing.

Found out about this shop because my dad has taken his car here to be worked on and recommended it to me. Made an appointment to get the alignment on my Mini checked out. Brought it in staff were super friendly and got it taken in right away even though I was a little early for my appointment. Went next door to the cafe and had a delicious sandwich and was able to hangout there while my car was getting worked on. Turned out that the alignment was off and they corrected it for me and gave me a free cookie from the cafe as I was leaving. Car was done in under an hour and they showed me and sent me a copy of my alignment specifications. Super friendly staff all around and reasonable prices said if I have any problems to bring it back and they would take care of it. Would recommend this shop to anyone.

Best customer service weve ever received. Good quality care on all our vehicles.Ive also seen some negative reviews stating they are con artists. We bought their oil change card and never had issues. They even made a small mistake on my husbands truck and took full responsibility for the issue. They paid for towing, and paid the entire repair costs. They are honest people and have always taken care of us without issue. We are also young so I feel as tho that doesnt make a difference. Never had an issue with conover. I recommend them to all our friends.

Unbelievably awesome experience with these guys!!!! I was on a tight timeline on a busy Saturday and let the shop manager know this over the phone. He was very accommodating and had me in and out for a tire repair in under 35 min. Great attitudes from everyone that I came in contact with at this shop!

My first time having to replace tires in the city of San Diego and I think I made a great choice coming to Conover Tires, Wheels and Service.Firstly, I came here on a whim; but mostly because of all the positive Yelp reviews and ratings. Secondly, my ONLY complaint that I have about my experience has nothing to do with the company itself, but moreso with Google Maps who couldnt give me accurate directions to their shop. Hah![Just remember to make the turn at the light and youll find the road to the shop]As for my experience here, I am completely satisfied! The mere fact that I could make a call and come in 30 minutes (short notice) and only wait 15 minutes to have my car serviced is impressive to me. Ive attempted to call and make appointments to other tire shops and none would accept a short-notice appointment. I was always offered to come in at a later time or date.The entire servicing took under 1 hour and that was also very satisfactory.Their pricing is competitive and fair and for me, on point. Their waiting area, amenities and conveniences are justified in the total cost of my service purchase. Theres a comfy couch, additional seating, television, water fountain and a cafe with healthy snacks, sandwiches and additional beverages. I also think that having huge, free, home-made, cookies for customers is the icing on the cake.Overall, the service here is impeccable and shows their 20 years of experience is a proven track record for their patrons; for which I am now one!

I hate mechanics. The number of times I’ve been taken advantage of because I’m not a mechanic are countless.Conover has changed that with their transparency. I brought my Prius in for a routine oil change and they noticed some strange wear on my tires.They ran a diagnostic and noticed it was terribly out of alignment.Months before I drove into a curb hard enough to pop my front passenger side tire. Took the car to Discount after the accident to replace tire, but they didn’t check alignment.3 months later, Conover saved my tires from uneven wear. They sent me the diagnosis from before and after and pictures to confirm the work.I trust these guys.

We have been loyal customers since 2010 and our experience over the past 24 hours has strengthened our commitment to them. About a week ago our 2008 Honda Odyssey had a dead battery, we had purchased it at AutoZone 3 years ago so we went back and they replaced it for free since it was still under warranty. A week later the battery was dead again and also the AC was acting up. I called the Hoehn Honda dealership and gave them the symptoms. They promptly told me they would have to run a diagnostic test costing $115 (which would go towards any repairs). After picking up my husband he called Conover tires and told them the same symptoms and they quickly replied that it sounded like a typical problem that Hondas have with their AC clutch relay and can look at it first thing in the morning at no cost. With that information my husband googled the location of the relay and purchased the relay for $6 and replaced the bad one, charged the battery and called it a night. The next morning the van started right up with no problems, but to be sure he took it to Conovers anyways to get it checked out and see if there were any problems with the AC or battery. They hooked up all their gauges and ran their tests and after about 30 minutes they told him all the tests came back good. He asked how much it cost was and they said it was free! What Honda would have charged probably $200 - $300, cost my husband $6 and 30 min worth of time thanks to Conover tires.I recommend if you have any vehicle issues give Conovers a call first. They dont do just tires and they really care about the customer.

I agree with the review below. Dont be fooled by the bible verses this place is very sketchy. They pick and chose what customers to treat well. But if you come off as someone that they dont think they can scam they will treat you like crap. I have a developed a conspiracy theory u0010about this shop, since I bought the oil change card and get free oil changes they feel like they need to screw my car up in order to rake in some cash out of me. Since they couldnt they simply left my radior lid loose so that my car would overheat the next day. They wouldnt admit responsibility and the owner Dan kept talking down to me because of my younger age. At the end he had to apologize because they figured out that it truly was their fault my car overheated and their mechanics certification is questionable.BEWARE of this shop if you do go here, just keep in mind that these people might be wolves in sheep clothing.
