I unfortunately had to spend a tidy sum to have my 1976 Scouts transmission rebuilt. Adrian and his team did an outstanding job with regular updates on the progress to include pictures. Professional organization that is highly recommended.

I would 10/10 recommend this shop to everyone! Adrian went above and beyond for us! Came in needing a new transmission and not only did he provide excellent customer service, he provided us with information about financing. We brought our truck to him on Friday and by Saturday morning he let us know it was ready to come pick up! I will be returning for all future needs!

I stopped by with an emergency steering problem. In addition to solving that problem, Adrian helped me prioritize some long overdue maintenance issues. I was very satisfied with the courteous and professional service.

I took my car twice there already and my wife’s car once.Adrian is very helpful and upfront about the costs and I like that.A lot of other shops will try to hustle you and say other stuff is broken and it’s gonna cost more but not Ruffner and they do a really good job beyond what you expect my brakes are super reliable now and my car is running so smooth after the last job with the radiator, timing belt and spark plugs renewed.I recommend because I trust the work that’s was done actually made the car feel like new.

Had to get a transmission on a truck I bought at an auction. Had to. I called around a few places,got the usual lineup of guys who would do it in their driveway, shops who had a guy for that, places that wanted to just get me in the door. One guy I spoke with seemed to be giving me a straight answer, I decided to come talk to him.It turned out to be Adrian, the owner at Ruffner Transmission. He remembered our phone call, even took me me on a tour thru his shop. Which was bustling. Every lift had a car or truck on it. Many things going on at once. One thing I noticed-the place was clean, organized, and everybody seemed professional. Adrian showed me a transmission that was up on a bench, and he told me they had rebuilt it that week, that it would be mine if I wanted it.I went foward with Ruffner, got a transmission in the truck in a matter of HOURS...The fact they had it in stock, had the manpower and skill to have it done by noon. Gave me great confidence in their ability. My decision was a good one. Not only does my truck drive like a new truck, but I didnt feel bad about spending the money on a transmission after the fact! I felt like I had made a smart choice! They didnt upsell me with in needed repairs. Told me things I could do myself that would save me more money even. I took a great referral to another shop for my cats.....all in all. If I ever need another transmission-it will be on a different vehicle of course- I would not hesitate to come back in to Ruffner Transmission. I would send family and friends down there no problem. I called Ruffner transmissions after mine blew out, I talked to Adrian and he told me straight up what it was gonna cost (very reasonable) and a reasonable time frame. After bringing it in, Adrian even caught things that he can do while the transmission was out and did that work too. I brought my Ford in on Thursday evening and had it back Monday, a lot quicker than what was the time frame given with a transmission rebuild, valve gasket, and other things that came up. They kept me updated all through the entire process. Very reliable shop here, I would recommend this shop to friends and family.

I was recommended to Adrian for working on my BMW 323is transmission. He provided excellent, quality work, reasonable price and a great turnaround time. When I recently lost powering steering, I called Adrian, explained the issue and what I thought needed repairing/replaced and he gave me a quote. When I took the car in and he checked it out, he found that it was a different issue all together and explained it would be a bit more than than the original estimate. He let me give him a down payment to start the work and pay in increments. Within a couple of days, Adrian contacted me and said the car was ready. Not only did he provided speedy service and saved me hundreds of dollars from the original estimate, he allowed me to gave him a little more than 1/3 of the remaining balance to pick up my car until I had the rest on my next payday. How many mechanics do you know that does that? Adrian, I cant thank you and your staff enough for your professionalism, your quality work, your rock bottom prices and most of all, your big heart and truly caring for your customers. Excellent service!! These guys took one look, and didn’t need a “full brake inspection” to tell me something soo obvious!Two weeks ago I had taken the car to Toyota for service and they DID NOT TELL ME MY BRAKES WERE COMPLETELY OUT, I was driving like that in the rain!!!Drove 50m to get service done here and they really took good care of me!!

If you think theres no such thing as an honest mechanic, think again. My car was giving a bunch of codes that needed to be fixed. Adrian couldve taken advantage and sold me all of those services, but he told me that he felt like they were false readings and that it was an electrical problem. Whats more is he spent hours with my car and didnt charge me a dime! He said I had paid him enough the last time. He also helped me decide that it was time to sell my car rather than keep putting $ into it. When I go to this shop I feel like talking to my brother or uncle and the ladies at the front always greet you with a smile. This is a friendly and professional place to have any work done and they wont take advantage of you. I would highly recommend to anyone.

First off my truck is my baby. When it started having problems I immediately brought it to Ruffner’s. They were quick to help me fix everything that was causing me problems and got my truck running like it was brand new. Thank you guys so much for amazing work!

Let me start off by saying that I rarely leave reviews but with this shop I just had to! Honestly the most amazing service I have ever gotten from a shop. Adrian is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares for his customers. After needing a transmission rebuilt & a rear main seal fixed, he went above and beyond with his services. He kept me updated and even sent me pictures of the work being done. He was able to do both for extremely cheap compared to what any other shop would have charged me. Great work and good price. My transmission started to slip a few weeks ago I knew I had to have my transmission looked at. My brother recommended taking it to Adrian, the owner, at Ruffner Transmission.I called first to check for availability and Adrian answered the phone. He is very friendly. He asked a few questions about my car situation and and I asked a few questions about how the process works and what the cost may be. He clearly answered my questions.I took my car in and left it with them for 2 days. When I received my card back, Adrian clearly explained the work done and the fees.My first observation was that my car was clean. I was expecting greasy fingerprints or dirty shoe prints, but were none. They obviously cared about my car.The second thing I noticed was that my car was more quiet when I drove it. My brother said thats because I was used to my slightly noisy transmission.Anyway, I am completely happy with the work and highly recommend Ruffner Transmission.

I was in need of a full transmission rebuild, a new clutch, and had to have my truck towed to this shop. I chose this place of business because the owner is really down to earth and makes you feel comfortable knowing all about your cost and repairs.In my case the repairs took four days longer than expected but the costs of a rental car were reimbursed to me for those few days.They provided pictures all thru the process of the repairs and even gave me several quotes for several options before any work was done.This transmission shop and its mechanics are good at what they do and I expect them to stay in business for a very long time.

I had my transmission rebuilt at ruffner transmission. Adrian was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He gave me a great price and did excellent work. When he ran into a problem and had to get an unexpected part, he did so and paid for it himself. He also reimbursed me for 3 days of my rental car. The customer service was awesome and I highly recommend ruffner if you need any work done on your transmission.

Beware he is a theif! If your trans has issues after it’s “repaired” he won’t fix it unless he gets more of your hard earned money!! Shop with extreme caution. His warranty does nothing at all to your benefit.

I seen Ruffner Transmission on a craiglist ad and was unsure what to expect, but within two days my 07 tahoe was back on the road and doing awesome. The entire transmission was rebuilt in two days. The kind of knowledge and technical ability to do a task as such, is very unheard of. Yet alone getting it done with everything going the way it should on a transmission re-build. All I can say is all of my business with transmissions will be going to Ruffner Transmissions in the future. Anyone I come across that is having transmission issues I will be referring to Ruffner Transmission. With the way todays economy is, it is the hardest thing to find someone as honest and caring for their customers as Ruffner Transmissions is. You are rolling the dice bringing your car to this mechanic. First he didnt do a complete diagnostic of my car, and got halfway through replacing my clutch before he realized he was missing several parts. Then, the part of the job he did, he did wrong, creating a vibration in my car that he only inspected and fixed when I insisted it wasnt there beforehand. Finally, when he finished the job, he broke my cruise control in the process and was not able to figure out how to fix it. To top it off, he left several cups worth of almonds and almond crumbs scattered on the floor of my car.You would be better off going to a more reputable shop than coming here.

I was refered to Adrain by my family and was told of how great the work was that he had done on their vehicles. So when my 1993 Dodge caravan broke down and would not start I towed it to the Ruffner Transmission shop with my AAA insurance. I spoke to adrain on the phone and he allowed me to give him the diagnosis that I thought it was and then informed me that he would know more once he had looked at it. He explained everything and gave me an amazingly reasonable price to fix my fuel pump and a few other misalanious things. He was very understanding and reasonable with pricing and direct to the point. He explained things and made them very understandable. You could tell that he knows what he is doing. He is all around just a great man and a Machanic. He was able to fix about 8 different issues with my van in the matter of just a few hours. He was very speedy and fixed everything as if he just he just waved a wand and it was like new. It felt so effortless on my part and I love when a machanic can do that. Now I feel so much safer in my van and feel like I am not going to break down. I thank him so much and highly recommend anyone that needs help with their vehicles to go to him as he is the best Ive seen.
