U-Haul of Oceanside installed my first hitch in 2019, on my SUV. I should have realized then their poor quality of scheduling & installation. When I picked up my SUV I noticed the muffler hanger wasn’t reattached. When I got home I looked under the hitch & noticed they only installed 3 of the 4 bolts. In addition, the electrical plug couldn’t be assessed due to hitch in the way? Fast forward, I wanted to upgrade to a heavier class hitch to accommodate the weight for my new boat. Went through the standard call center, scheduled for 8am today 8/16/21, on my to my appointment in Oceanside, I got a call from Daryl (installer) he already had an 8am appointment & couldn’t accommodate my pre-booked appointment? Daryl said I could drop off the vehicle and leave it for the entire day? If you don’t mind getting jacked around with your scheduled appointment and questionable installation by Oceanside U-Haul, I sure you can find a more reputable company.
