Fun facts:* I have never given a positive review on Google.* I have been to Board Game stores all over the world (Australia, to France, to Rome, and all throughout the Western United States). This place is in the top 3 that I have been to.* It has lots of space, lots of board game selections, knowledgeable staff, and a good game vibe from the back. Heck, the customers even have good hygiene.* You would never expect this gem of a place to be in Southern OKC. Come here for all your board game needs.

Place is really clean and has a lot of games to choose from, staff was super polite and Friendly! What I liked most was the staff was real knowledgeable in all the games and did not mind helping you at all. Would highly recommend.

Just to put some context on the kind of people that run Game HQ and their quality. Over the past years, they have provided us both with direct financial support and space to host our Extra Life charity event. They never baulk or complain. They are always eager to help and aid us where they can. They never try to work some angle to maximize their benefit when it would make sense to do so. Through out combined efforts we have raised over $30,000 for the childrens hospital. This translates to children receiving care that might not have been available to them. Countless children have been helped through our combined charitable efforts. This is real impact in our community. Supporting a local small business such as Game HQ is the driving force behind all of this. The little extra you might spend at their store helps facilitate these efforts. Keep that in mind next time you are price comparing online or shopping at bigger chain stores.I would be remiss if I didnt also mention the other extremely generous game store owners that donate year after year to help make our event successful. There really are just too many to list. Suffice to say, if there is a game store in the OKC metro that you have visited, then you can be sure that they helped donate to make this event the yearly success that it is. You cannot go wrong here! Their selection is amazing, the gaming area is huge, open, and inviting, and all employees are extremely knowledgeable and polite. I will always check here first when I need a new board game, dice, or anything else my nerd heart wants!

I cannot believe that these guys are scalping the scalpers. It’s incredible how they get away with overcharging on product that releases on day 1 because they want to “stop people from buying and reselling for a higher price.” They are still a store front, but they are getting away with selling something that is $200 for double that. Absurd. I will not be bringing my business here again.

We always enjoy going in here. The staff is very helpful, especially Brian. We enjoy looking around and finding new games to try. Every time we have a question, they have a helpful answer for a game to play and we have enjoyed all of them.

Has to be the largest game store in Oklahoma! They have a large play area that they don’t charge to play at, the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! I recommend this place to people constantly.

As a competing store owner, I’m here to say GHQ is a great store that has shaped gaming in Oklahoma for over 25 years. The previous reviews and comments regarding Pokémon are a complete misunderstanding of the collectible market, MSRP and a fabrication of the depiction of GHQ.If I don’t have an item, I call HQ or send customers there often. They are a 5star store!!

I went in looking for the new release for Warhammer, which has an estimated MSRP of $199 for the newest release of Black templars, with local stores selling then around 150-200$. I inquired about the ones on their shelf, and they quoted me $245. Needless to say I passed. Not only does it baffle me they are selling for more than the recommended selling price, but this is not the first new product they’ve done this to, they constantly have GW product above any in the local area. While I’m not a long-standing customer with them, I can say they have lost my business for the future.

Trying to complete sets is near impossible when I have to pay scalper prices from a store front. They claim to worry about the secondary market but it doesn’t really seem like their business what costumers do once they give their money to the store for products. I get limiting the quantity of products a single Person can purchase but doubling the price of something doesn’t seem like the way to go. I was hoping to find some of the new Pokémon celebration boxes and found out it was priced at $400. A friend of mine preordered theirs for $120. The difference between these prices shouldn’t be this high. I understand prices change between preorder and street date. Everywhere else sold theirs for under $200. I won’t be bringing my business back here again.Personally I have no interest in reselling. I’m just a collector trying to enjoy my hobby. I have spent money in your store. On Pokémon products especially, but I have found several other stores who are looking out for the customers instead of themselves. I honestly just need the promo cards that come in those boxes you’re hoarding. You’re boxes are currently more expensive then TCG player. That… is crazy.In order for you to get that crazy number you had to look into the secondary markets.

Place sells scalper prices for all Pokemon products. 180$ for a booster box when the hype of Pokemon is over!? Degenerates. They hired some new sweaty pig in the Pokemon section too who isnt friendly or even feels the need to provide any immediate assistance. Take your money elsewhere.

I went in looking for pokemon product only to find they were selling celebrations for double what they should be. my friends and i were looking for anything for us to complete our set, but we were told it was $400 for one box that other stores were listing for like 170. i will not be bringing my business here again.

Every time I go in here, they seem to be busy. At other stores that might mean that you wont receive any attention, but the employees here genuinely enjoy what they do and are always willing to help. There are so many games that you could circle around four times and still see something new on each lap. Whether you are new to games or an old pro, youll find something here!

I really dont recommend buying TCG boxes from here. They scalp worse than online scalpers for Pokemon boxes that are still being printed.

The guys up there are the best. They will go above and beyond to get you taken care of. I can not recommend this store enough. You will feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.

They have a diverse selection and friendly store keepers. A lot of different hobbies are supported in the store and there is a large gaming area where people regularly play all sorts of table top games. I appreciate that they keep everything safe and clean as well.

I live Game HQ, they have the largest game selection I have seen around here and even have games to try out in the game room. The game nights they hold are really fun too!

Excellent service!! Organization, product knowledge, and good prices make this place great. Came for MTG singles and they had them organized by set with a dude there to look em up and find what you need. Prices were surprisingly fair and I left with nearly every card on my wishlist.

Large selection of games. Lots of miniatures and paints as well. Citadel, army painter and others. I grabbed some paints and static grass.

I love this place. And yeah....you may pay a bit more for a book when compared to a website like Slamazon or Gbay...but you get to actually touch it, look at it and ask someone for opinions/help. I have gotten some good info myself from time to time.I also have a really good deja vu story that is associated with the store but my wife gets tired of me telling it. Maybe some other time.

This place is amazing. They have one of the largest selection of games Ive seen, and they have a free play area where you can just pick up a game and play. Lots of large tables for board games, War hammer, or D&D. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The only reason I set it at a 4 star instead of a 5 is due to that they are slightly more expensive that other game shops, but not by much and you can still find great deals. I enjoy every visit.

I went to Game HQ to buy and sell Magic: the Gathering singles, and it was a great experience. They had everything that I needed, they gave me a very good deal, and the staff were knowledgable and kind. I recommend this store to anyone who plays MtG. If I lived in Oklahoma City, I would play here all the time.

Game headquarters is a wonderful store for people who enjoy tabletop games. They are constantly hosting various events in The half of their large space that is devoted to gaming tables. they also have a number of games that you can try out in the store to see if you want to purchase them for yourself. Their selection is simply massive. They also have paints and miniatures, both metal and plastic. The staff is very friendly and always willing to answer questions from experienced persons and newbies alike.

What a hidden gem! They have tons of games. Not your traditional board games!

The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. The don’t sell any computer/console games. This is a board game, RPG, and wargame store. They also have a space to play your games.

The allowed me to browse in peace and had all of my fave books, dice and games that I want. Very friendly atmosphere.

Bad customer service. They dont have binders out so they have to look up cards and prices for you but act like doing it is the biggest hassle. Then when I didnt want to buy the $10+ cards on the list they tossed the pile at me and said just take out whatever. I wont buy cards there anymore.

This is a wonderful game store. It has plenty to offer with board games, card games and much more. I enjoy stopping by to look at the increasing selection on games and miniatures. If you ever get a chance swing by, you wont leave empty handed.

We visit Game HQ regularly and love it. Its a wonderful place for unique games in many different styles of play. They also stock well known family games and some games for children. They have clean bathrooms and large tables for group games. I highly recommend you go there at least once to see what they have. You will not be disappointed! Good place for FNM, solid group of people show up to play. They are good at keeping up with people wearing masks without coming across as rude.

The staff is generally nice and really chill. The store has two sides. One side has a huge selection of board games or books for D&D. The other side is where people can come play card games, board games, D&D, or even a switch. Overall it has a great atmosphere and a lot of friendly faces that tend to be regulars there. They host tournaments for many different card games. Tbh thats all I have. Hopefully this information serves whoever is reading this well.

Game HQ is a wonderful place for any one who like table top games. They have a wide selection of games and accessories for purchase, but the real star here is the play room.This massive space is open late, has a well stocked library of games to play, and is open for any one to play free of charge. They regularly host organized okay events, so you dont have to worry about finding someone to bring with you. If you do have a group, though, this is a great place to meet without worrying about cleaning hour house or providing snacks.They allow food and drinks, players of all ages, and free WiFi, and sell some snacks and drinks right there. I really cant say enough about this place!

This is a great place to pick up new games, old games, miniatures, and just about anything else for the board game enthusiast. The staff are willing to help answer questions. Im not sure if there is a fee to play or not, but there is a shelf full of open box games, or you can bring your own, and there is an area with lots of tables. I have been coming here for over 20 years. This is by far the biggest gaming store in the OKC metro. The facility is divided into 2 sections - the store and gaming area. The store is huge and well stocked with D&D, Warhammer/Warhammer 40K, Flames of War, Infinity, Star Wars Legion, and hundreds of other games. They also have an impressive selection of hobby supplies including Citadel and Valejo paints, tools, and wargaming terrain items. The game room is spacious. Theres almost always folks playing wargames, board games, roleplaying games, and card games. The staff is friendly and helpful. I tip my hat to Ron, Brian, and the rest of the staff for maintaining a clean and inviting environment. If your looking to hook up with a gaming group, they have boards with announcements, gaming group invitations, and tournament information. They also recently introduced a rewards program where you can earn points for purchases and get cool discounts. I highly recommend this place.

This place is huge. It has so many options for any of your gaming needs. At first I thought it was weird that they closed early, but that was just the store side. The side with the gaming tables stays open much later. Great place and the staff their helps you find whatever you may be looking for.

This place is one of the most welcoming and inclusive gaming shops Ive ever been to. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a massive area dedicated to actually playing games and a gargantuan selection of wares to purchase. If they dont have what youre looking for, they will certainly try to order it for you, and if they can no longer order it they are more than willing to steer you towards where you can still get said thing. I showed up looking for a warhammer 40k starter kit since a good friend of mine was heavily into it. The older gentleman at the front was super helpful with paint selection and suggestions, the 40k community there is amazingly helpful and nice. They have learner 40k games and everything on the weekends. Knowledgeable and welcoming! Would recommend!!

This is my favorite OKC hobby store. They have lots of board game selection and lots of table top play space. The atmosphere was great and the workers were really nice to have a conversation with. Theres a good game accessory selection too and snacks. Its overall a really good hobby store.

There are always good deals on card boosters and things like that, though the board games tend to be on the pricier side (its good to support local business, though).The staff is always so courteous and fun to talk to.
