I dont think I have felt this excited and confident about a haircut in forever! Erika is an amazing stylist who had an amazing future ahead of her! All of the stylists are amazing but she is extraordinary!

Best haircut Ive had in a long time. Brenda did a fantastic job on my wavy hair. I especially like that she doesnt style it after the cut - I got a cut only. Given I usually redo my hair when I get home it was nice not to pay for that part. Highly recommend!

I usually have a good experience at this place. Weve been coming here for years. I bring all my kids to do there hair here. This will be the last time we come here. The Lady with curly brown hair attended us was rude very bad customer service. This was the 2nd time we had to deal with her idk if she has something against us or if she was just having a bad day. If so thats a coincidence 2nd time in a row. I would addvice the owner of this location to talk to here or have her retrained on customer service.

Brenda Harvey is the salons manager, she has cut, colored & styled my hair for over 25 years. I have long thick curly hair which is a challenge for most any stylist, but Brenda excepted the challenge & she is the absolute best hairdresser around. Believe me, Ive lived in Phoenix Arizona & now Texas, Ive tried to find hairdressers in both places & Ive learned some hard lessons. Needless to say, I still & will forever come back to Brenda at The Hair Shop to have my hair done... theres NO one better. Thanks Brenda!!

Didnt know much about it until last Fall when my twice a year perm appointment at another shop got canceled at the last minute because the stylist was sick. They fit me in that day and did a super job. I was able to reconnect w Angel who had cut my hair for years at another salon. Angel is the best for haircuts and perms! A great place to get a haircut. The prices are good and the hairstylists are fantastic. They are always very friendly and knowledgeable. Most are also excellent with curly hair.They also take walk-ins or appointments.The front of the shop has hair care products for just about any need and is also very well stocked. They have been in business for quite a while and I have been going there for many years. Never a bad hair cut!

My little sister went to get her eyebrows waxed and the technician ripped some of my sisters skin off, right under her brow, near the eye!! It throbbed the rest of the night, was as red as a tomato and you know what the best they could offer was......? A sorry and a gift card. Why would anyone want to go back after an experience like that? Just give people back their money so they can go on their way. But no, apparently this place wants to make things right instead of giving money back. Want to make things right? Put my sisters skin back on her eye(which obviously cant happen) OR give people their money back. Ridiculous. Even told her that it shouldnt scar. More like saving his own tail. We will be reporting them to the board of cosmetology.

I was looking for cute hair ties and things for my daughters hair so i thought I’d stop in... when i walked in there were three ladies at the desk, and when i asked for this they just blankly starred at me and asked me if i was looking for hair. Obviously they jumped to conclusions, a racial one at that.... but no dear my hair is past my mid back, and maybe you should listen to your customers before assuming you already know what they are coming for!This was the shop by Kohl’s and applebees

I have gone here a total of 3 times now, first 2 were great for a cut and highlight. Went back last Thursday to get a long bob and stated to the girl (name was Tasha) that I wanted a lot of layers (and I brought in a pic), it didnt look anything like I wanted. She didnt even show me with a mirror what the back looked like. I went to a different place today showed her what I wanted and she looked at my hair and started laughing saying your hair looks nothing like the pictures. I will never be going back to the hair shop again!

Angle - Where do I even start! This girl is amazing!! I walked in with the worst haircut she probably has ever seen, black and red box dye! I left with a lighter brown and some blonde highlights. Now I am as blonde and as frosty as it gets!! She does truly amazing work!! I will NEVER go to anyone else!!

Monday night I went to the Hair Shop Olathe East get my hair highlighted, no big deal, its been highlighted dozens of times before. But somehow the highlights turned a reddish color. Two hours for red and $120. Last night I went back to get the red fixed. They added low lights and toner twice. Two and a half more hours. Now my hair is a light brown and the highlights have turned gray. Sent two emails to the owner last night and this morning for help, no reply. Very disappointing.

I went there to have my hair braided and received the worst service and customer service. then when I called and asked for a refund I got attitude from everyone I talked too and not once did anyone of them offer me my refund or to redo it I would not recommend going there all the people are pretty rude. I was told I would be able to talk to the owner which never happened all I was told was the they do not do refunds which is already in its self rude. I would not recommend this place at all

Completely ticked! Stylist did not listen to what I wanted and now my hair looks EXACTLY how I SPECIFICALLY stated I did NOT want. I have never disliked a salon experience as much as this time. I am also pretty sure that I was drastically overcharged for my service and I am not even satisfied! I will be going back tomorrow to straighten out the charges issue and attempting to get my hair fixed though I am very skeptical that I will end up having it ruined even more, if that is possible. If you are going here make sure you know what they are doing to your hair.

I only go get my hair done here.everytime i go in they are super nice and understanding. I havent bought hair products from them so I dont know how their products go review wise. All in all an amazing job everytime

I showed photo of what I wanted. I have long hair-brownish on top to dirty blonde on bottom (sortof natural ombre from not dying it for so long). I asked for highlights (blondish) and lowlights (REDbrown). I was hoping to have much more red. I wanted the blonde highlights to be fine (not chunky), but the red I wanted to show up a lot more than it does (I think she did the redbrown as fine highlights as well). You can hardly see the redbrown at all. It just looks like I got highlights. Which is fine, but I paid almost double what I would have to just get highlights....It looks okay. It just wasnt what I wanted. Also, she asked that I sign a waiver (weird, right!? She said it was because of the different levels of chemicals...). Anyway, sadly, I dont think Ill be going back.

I went to this salon because it was recommended by a friend and I loved her highlights. I went in asking for a strawberry blonde look. I personally picked out the red I wanted used and the stylist, Jennifer picked the blonde. The contrast between the bright red and bleach blonde made me look like a red headed skunk. I went back the next day to have Jennifer add a darker blonde to break up the contrast between the two colors and add some depth to my hair. This should have been an easy fix and I would have been happy and gladly come back to this salon. However, one of the other stylist (who was not there on my first visit) was very rude and argumentative. I had to sign a wavier about the new blonde color they were putting in. They then CHARGED me for the new blonde stating I had picked the red. That logic doesnt make since, I picked the red, the stylist picked the blonde and yet they charged me to fix the color that I didnt pick?! Personally I love how the color turned out the second time and I am glad I stood by my decision to add a darker blonde. The customer service was terrible, and they charged me to fix the color and to blow dry it! I have never been to a salon that charges the client to fix their hair if they are unhappy with it. I will never go back to this salon for that reason and would recommend you save your money and go to a salon that wont mess up your hair and get it right the first time.
