Im disgusted. A family friend who has autism was in Scholets over the weekend and asked a question about pricing. Our friend left feeling belittled and confused because of the treatment he received. I used to work for scholet in Cobleskill many years ago and know how they operate. Deals for friends. And overpriced for all others. And they think its funny. You can get the same furniture anywhere else for a lower price. Greed.

Went in looking for some new furniture. Worked with MaryEllen and she was fantastic! She was very friendly, helpful and informed. We will definitely be returning and look forward to working with her again.
So.... Scholet Furniture sold us a bedroom set on Halloween. It took until sometime in December before it was delivered. A WEEK later the bed broke.It took over a month and a half before we got someone from service to respond to us and actually come out and fix it. Based on the design of the bed it was obvious that it wasnt going to last. They said theyd call us to discuss options for a permanent solution as the onsite technician agreed but said all he could do was put it back to the way we bought it.This weekend it broke again. Had we heard from Scholet since end of January when they were here? Of course not. Their service department is the furthest thing from it.We spent 2,000+ on a full set for our bedroom. Not only did the center supports break, one of the slats screws striped out of its hole and as we moved the bed to try and temporarily fix it we find that the headboard was half unscrewed from just sleeping in the bed and would have just fallen off soon.At this point our bedroom has become a jungle gym nightmare that LUCKILY we were able to fit our mattress on the floor with the set still in the room.So we call to request the whole set be returned as its been a whole 4 1/2 months since we took delivery and weve had major issues twice and we obviously dont want part of a set in our room we bought the set b/c we wanted a SET. WE dont want to wait weeks for their service people to come out, not solve the problem and then promptly forget us again. We want it out of our house.SO What happened when we called?Call 1: Sunday - Sales says service will get back to us.Call 2: Monday - from Service Well have to talk to the owner theyre not here today,our response: CALL THEM, we can barely move in our room and its not our fault only one person can authorize a return in a company as large as ScholetCall 3: Monday - from Service Well only take back the bedThats funny, they were billed as a set, so I expect the set to be refunded, not some arbitrary number assigned to each piece without any detail on our receipt that it was the original price of the pieces when we bought it.Needless to say, were out a bed frame. We are probably out over a thousand dollars b/c were now stuck with a cheap feeling bedroom set thats incomplete once the broken frame is taken away.Their only defense is Weve never had one break like this, lets just give you a new one. What the hell is a new one just like the existing one going to change???? The supports are a single pole in the center on a single bolt in SOFT wood thats about an inch thick on each side. ANY Shift in weight on it is going to do exactly what happened, RIP THE BOLTS out of it. Another frame of the exact same design isnt going to cut it and Scholets terrible response time for delivery and repair already made us not want to work with them further.TLDR:-Bad Bed Frame Design,-It took them nearly 2 months to come fix it it the first time after it broke under a week of having it.-Weve had the bed for 5 months.-They refused to take it back as a set, and at first refused to take it back at all.-Theyre going to refund us what the bed cost. According to my invoice thats ~2,000.00 and included a dresser, night stand and mirror.-Theyre going to break the set price apart and only refund us for the bed. So were stuck with PART of a bedroom set for our room.

I enjoyed looking around and picking out the furniture I wanted, but after I had decided it took a long time to get a staff member to talk to. Might have been because I looked a bit scruffy after work? Prices were what you would expect from a furniture store. The delivery to my house went well and those guys did a wonderful job helping me.

Prices are on the higher end. We were fortunate to have a salesman who allowed us some time to ourselves. Did not feel pressured or rushed as we have at other locations. Modern furnishings and a very open floor space.
Absolutely the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. I purchased a defective recliner in June and waited almost a month to get a call back after calling several times. Service came out to look at it in September and still has not been fixed or replaced (now Novemeber ) despite several inquires to the manager.
What a beautiful store! My sales person was amazing and I found just what I needed. Prices are great too! Ill definitely shop here again!
Only giving one star because I can not give zero. Paid 2 grand for a chair. Got wrong chair. Had to battle to get the floor model. Bait n switch. Beware...

Very disappointing that you can spend $5k in cash for furniture,including an extra $79 for delivery and it still takes over a week for delivery. Its also very unprofessional of the salesman to call and laugh about the fact that I was so disappointed. Scholets also doesnt offer any incentives for a cash sale versus having something financed. I will drive way out of my way to purchase the rest of the furniture I need for my new home as I dont feel this establishment appreciates its customers.
