Dont go anywhere else for car service in Fleming Island. My husband and I have been here multiple times now, and we have always received impeccable, honest service at a good price. We have had everything from brake rotor installation to AC repair to oil changes done here. Every time they have been polite, courteous, and up front about possible charges and wait times.I had a slow air leak in one tire and took it in this morning with no appointment. Even though they had a fully booked schedule today, they worked me in. I was in and out in 30 minutes, no charge, tire good to go.My husband initially went here because of the superb google reviews, and we have not be disappointed.

Recently asked Famous Automotive & Tire Center to repair the tailgate latch system on my Toyota Tundra. No one outside a very expensive dealership was able to handle the task. The Famous folks handled the entire repair in one afternoon, and for a great price! Famous Automotive will hence forth being taking care of our vehicles. Had tires put on first thing Saturday morning by Calvin and his team. I was in and out very quickly even checked my alignment while it was in the shop. Truck rides very smooth now and at a good price. I Will be back again soon for my brakes and oil change. I defiantly recommend this place!

I decided to try this repair shop due to the its location, variety of services in one place and the reviews. I was very pleased with the service overall. Calvin is very personable and seems to be very straight forward about what was happening with my car and there was no attempt to sell me anything not needed. I have a 2016 Toyota Sienna and needed a new battery, rear brakes, oil and filter change, and cabin and air filter for a very reasonable price. I am very excited to have a place I feel I can trust that is a one stop shop for almost all of my vehicle needs! Going to convert friends and family as well!

Well the wife did it to me again, hey honey my car is 45 miles past due for an oil change. So I had to find a place that could do it in a timely manner and last minute of course. Called Famous Auto up and was told all appointments were taken but I could come in and wait, so I did. The Service manager was very polite and the place was clean. They take good care of your car, the best part was they actually thought about the maintenance they were doing. I asked for a tire rotation and they noted that they needed replaced (as I’ve been looking for new tires already). They gave me a quote at checkout for replacement tires mount and balance with alignment and said come back if I wanted to. No pushing of sales but good quality craftsmanship and service! I was out of there in about an hour with no appointment! I’ll take it! Thanks y’all!

I contacted Calvin in the morning to inquire about tire pricing for my vehicle. I received a quote within minutes that was more than fair. I didnt have a specific time i would be able to swing by for the install however Calvin ordered the tires ahead of time and had them ready and waiting on me. I arrived around 4:30PM and was in and out in under an hour! Talk about VIP treatment! Came in for a nail in my tire. They didn’t charge me to patch it. Had my truck done within about 7 mins of me walking in and were very kind/courteous. Well dropped off my f250 to have new pads put on, man calls .e says you need pads,rotors,calibers ball joints, 2100 is the cost for repairs. I decided to take it for a second opinion and the shop just called and said all I needed was pads. Un real

Ok Orange Park residents! If you do not do business with this shop, you are going to the wrong mechanics. I do not live here, visiting friends, and got a flat. They fixed it in 20 minutes, even though they estimated 1-1.5 hours, and then did not charge me!This is old world business mentality with quality workmanship. They could easily have charged me 25-40 dollars for a patch, or even sold me a tire. I bought them donuts and hope this message gets out to anyone that does not know of this stand up business!

I had my tires rotated at discount tire and noticed a pull to the right after this. Unfortunately DT doesn’t do alignments so I went to Fabulous after seeing all of the good reviews. They fixed the issue. I also had some other maintenance issues taken care of while there and was very pleased with the customer service and the prices. Great company!

Calvin and his team are AMAZING! I have never had a go-to mechanic because I always felt like they’re just out to cheat or take my money for no reason. Calvin has totally changed my mind! A few months ago, my little blue Nissan Versa just kept dying and making noises, shaking. My husband uses it for Uber drives almost every weekend, so it’s a vital part of our family, lol. Here’s the great thing: Calvin and his team never gave up trying to get to the root of what was causing that little car to act up so much. It took over a month, which made me nervous at first, but what with Covid, supply chains, and auto part delays, I can see why. He kept my husband updated on the progress. As soon as one thing was repaired, something else came up. Instead of giving the car back and letting it breakdown again and again, the team at Famous kept investigating and really wouldn’t give the car back until it was totally repaired.I am happy to say that since we got it back, there have been no issues that I’m aware of. And between school pick up/drop off, marching band, grocery runs, and of course lots of Uber trips, it has been running like brand new. I really should make those guys some cookies, lol! But I work nights and sleep during the day…at any rate, I really just wanted to give a big shout out and THANK YOU to Calvin and everyone who worked on that little blue versa hatchback for so long. It has truly meant so much to our family, and if you are wondering if Famous is legit, wonder no more. You can trust this team with your car. They are honest and will definitely look out for you.

Calvin and his team were quick to hop on my truck and get the AC back up and running. The job that my truck needed was very extensive, involving half of the interior needing to come out. Everything was fixed and put back together with ice cold AC. They even fixed up a few odds and ends while they were in there, such as missing bolts and clips from previous repairs done by other shops. 100% would recommend them, the attention to detail is definitely there and are priced very competitively compared to other shops.

Came in 5 minutes after close with a puncture. The owner informed me they had closed 5 minutes ago, yet they still saw me! Topped off all tires, sealed the puncture all in less than 5 minutes. The kicker? When I got ready to pull out my wallet, they told me flat repairs were free of charge! Highly recommend this business. They will be seeing me again!

All of the staff are friendly and professional. I know this place doesnt have the lowest price in town but I bring my car here because I know they wont sell me something I dont need. They stand by their work too. More than once they have put parts in my car without charging me for them because something unforseen, not their fault, went wrong. I will never take my car to a different shop.

It is my 1st time at the auto shop....I called Calvin sunday said i needed a new ac and something was wrong with my suspension. He said get it to me now ill have it back to you end of the workday monday. And he did. My car drives so good with the new suspension and the new AC is great.

Prices a wee bit expensive for labor, but theyre incredibly honest and fair. They wont cheat you. They did a great job with my VW. They even advised me to buy my parts online to avoid a markup from them... they installed the parts for a fair labor rate.

I took my Jeep in for new front brake pads and an oil change. They cleaned my brake pads and completed an oil change. They told me that my brakes were just dirty and didnt need replaced. They are always very honest and efficient. They never try to sell me things I dont need. This is my favorite auto repair shop around!

My alternator was kaput, so I brought my sled to Famous Automotive on Fleming Island, arriving just before noon. They finished the work (and then some) by closing time. 2ndGen Tundra owner here... I was driving down the road and my Tundra started to shift Really hard and not go in to 5th gear. I was super afraid because this is my baby and my only vehicle. Couldn’t afford to have this thing go down. I called around at different shops and all of them were telling me that it was time for a new transmission. Can‘t afford a new one so I kept calling... spoke to Jordan at Famous in Fleming Island and he told me that he needs to at least see what the codes are saying. So I brought it over to him and he diagnosed it and gave me an estimate. To my surprise, he didn’t say that I needed a new transmission, he told me that it was a solenoid issue. He ordered the parts and got to work. Those guys took care of my truck, worked late and had me back on the road in no time! What great service and superb work! Thank you for being honest people and not just selling a customer everything to make money... will be back again for sure!

I spoke with Calvin at 11:57am to tell him I had a potential bad battery and got to the shop a few minutes later. Calvin and his team tested the electrical system, replaced my battery and I was out in 45 minutes. Great service, very courteous and true professionals.

Review on behalf of Tanya Ludwig- Had my brakes serviced and oil changed on 1/22/21. Called late morning and spoke with Calvin and Jordan. I asked if I could bring the vehicle over immediately as my brakes were in need of being repaired. I work just next door and advised them I needed to have the vehicle back prior to 5:30 in order to pick up my son prior to 6pm. Needed an oil change, didnt know where to go. A coworker recommended this place and I was not let down. Both the store manager and assistant manager were incredible guys and very helpful not only did I get my oil changed but I came back in 2 days later and got 2 new tires. The whole staff was friendly and welcoming. Will be recommending this place to everyone.

My car had a broken engine mount and a leak in my oil, tire plus was trying to charge me an ungodly amount, so I came here instead. They gave me very reasonable prices and fixed everything quickly. My car then started a new problem, which caused me to go back the next day. I dropped my car off, and Jordan gave me a ride home so I didn’t have to wait there all day. Within a couple hours they found the problem, and had a piece on the way. My car hasn’t ran this good since I bought it! I highly recommend these guys, they’re quick, kind, and they don’t try to slap on unnecessary charges. They explain everything thoroughly, and try their best to help you understand what’s wrong, even if you know nothing about cars yourself.

Had a problem my truck, took it here and they diagnosed the problem. After leaving the shop, I got the same indicator light And took it immediately back to the shop. Jordan Austin, the assistant manager personally inspected my truck found the problem and corrected it immediately. Explain what the problem was, why the error occurred and reassured me that it would never happen again. Out of all the places I can take my truck for repairs I prefer to take it to famous automotive Fleming Island, were they earn your business and to respect at the same time.

Great experience, stopped in to have a tire looked at which had a slow leak. The technician found a nail and patched the tire on the inside. They did all this and upon returning to the counter to pay the person behind the counter proceeded to tell me to have a good day and there would be no charge. Lets just say that they gained a new customer. I certainly will be buying my next set of tires from this shop, and will spread the word as it relates to their prompt service and professionalism. Visited Famous of Fleming Island for an oil change and was pleasantly surprised. Everyone at the front desk was very professional and happy! Cal, who manages the location, was very personable and made me feel valued as a customer. I was able to get a full synthetic oil change for a cheaper price than the other places charge for a synthetic blend oil change. Thank you guys! Would highly recommend and will be a repeat customer.

I knew I needed a new battery (my car burns through them). Calvin said they would also check my alternator but after testing it, he told me it was just the battery after all. My experience with Calvin and this shop was top of the line. I bought a 2008 Tacoma and was looking to get new tires, alignment, balance, and a 3in lift. After calling multiple shops, I stuck with Famous Tire and Automotive in Fleming Island off US-17. My friend recommended it to me and told me to speak to Calvin. Calvin kept everything 100% honest and helped me out a lot. I brought my truck to him right before close on October 20th and they completed everything by end of day on the 21st. The service is very quick and all around really good. I will highly recommend going there. The customer service is amazing and the prices are near impossible to beat. I will definitely recommend this place and will be going back for any future maintenance needs. They get 5 stars in my opinion.

Replacing the cabin air filter is something that I normally do on my own. I hit a snag about 75% of the way through and was unable to get the last screw out because of the extremely difficult position it is in. I called up and Calvin said bring it down. I fully expected to pay labor for the time his man spent working under there but was pleasantly surprised when they handed me my key and told me were all square. Thanks for the great service. I got my oil changed and when I got home I saw my car was leaking oil. I brought it back and they took care of it within an hour and my next oil change is free. Outstanding service and value. I went to Famous Automotive and Tire to get wheel noise addressed.. What they found was a defective wheel bearing. They quickly and efficiently replaced the wheel bearing and hub. I also had two new tires installed and an alignment completed. While I was there I overheard another customer talking about getting their a/c recharged. I hadnt planned on getting it done, but with the hot summer upon us, I knew the timing was right. It took 1/2 lb of freon, and was blowing so cold when I left, that I turned the fan speed to low, something I hadnt done in months. With July and August approaching, it was the best money I could have spent. Calvin and his staff was recommended to me, and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be back.
