Visiting from TX and the air dam pins/clips began to fail and the whole thing was beginning to flap, of course this was right as we were starting our trek back. Bungeed it in place but didn’t trust it to last 1,200+ miles. Located Gibbes Ford on the google machine, and got there as they opened. A tech had our car in the bay in a couple minutes and in 10, had replaced all the mounting hardware and secured the dam. Quickest turnaround I’ve ever had at a dealer.

I called in on a Friday morning desperate for help. I was passing through Orangeburg on my way to Florida when I stopped for the night and noticed an oil leak. When I called I was told they were very busy but she would ask. Much to my surprise she said to come right away and one of the guys agreed to take a look. Peggy and Wallace were a team in helping me get back on the road. I cannot thank them enough for their quick service and overall kindness of squeezing me in on the fly. You both are heros in my book!

I was interested in a vehicle parked on their lot but after walking around for 15+ minutes without seeing a soul. I left ! Oh wellThis was the second time I was highly disappointed by Gibbs: #1 service department doesnt have a clue about handling tough questions without being defensive. To be fair to the service department thats working now, my gripe comes from 5 years ago #2 sales department was absent. 02/25/2021

Poor customer service in the service department! Theres a big sign on the door about wearing masks, and I walk in through the service entrance, and no one is wearing a mask but the customers. I felt uncomfortable and undervalued as a customer. The greeting was very dry, almost nonexistent! After waiting 4 hours for my truck to be serviced, I asked my husband to call so they can explain to him all of the issues. The woman at the service desk racked up charges saying labor is $115 an hour and that the mechanics dont get paid an hourly wage. They get paid by the vehicle! So youre going to rob me of my hard earned money to supplement your staffs wages! Not right! A very rude woman told my husband over the phone that we were looking for handouts after discussing all of the charges, which is absurd! I felt that we were being stereotyped! We were highly offended! I feel like no one is going to care. I have no idea who to talk to about it. The business is family owned and operated. Moreover, this is not the first time this woman has been rude and disrespectful towards us! During a visit in October, she got upset because I told my husband to back up from her because she wasnt wearing a mask! She laughingly said, oh yeah I might have the Corona virus! That is something you cannot and should not joke about! I know people who have died from this, and it is insensitive people like her that keeps us in danger! Oh, she also said that it was our fault we were having problems with our vehicle for waiting so long to get it fixed. At the end of all this, we still had to get a second opinion and they said we were being over charged in labor fees! I just want to know why? Why is it every time we go there, this woman is so rude and disgusted to see us. Doesnt want to acknowledge our presence! Why? What have we done to her??Another thing, after all that, they didnt change the oil. Even though it wasnt our initial purpose for bringing the truck there, I just thought when you service a vehicle, you service a vehicle! I mean something as small as Changing the oil? No, they wanted to charge me additional labor for that during another appointment. Every recent visit there has left me exhausted and offended! And no Im not being sensitive!The only genuinely nice people were the people in sales. They greeted and asked if there was anything I needed. One guy even helped me with wifi because I was working remotely. I cant remember their names, but thank you for being the most pleasant part of my visit on that day. I wish I felt that throughout the dealership.

My truck broke down on our way from Greenville SC to Florida and I was towed to Gibbes. Even though my truck wasnt able to be repaired, the service staff went out of their way to help me. I had trouble getting a rental from Enterprise, the wonderful woman in the service department made a call to Hertz and within ten minutes a Hertz rep had come to pick me and my three kids up. There were other customers in and out while we were there and everyone was treated like family.

After a truck breakdown on the way to a vacation destination, the truck was towed to Gibbes Ford for service. The staff was so kind, and FAST. Great receptionists, and mechanics. The problem was repaired in less time than it took for the tow truck driver to tow the truck. It is this kind of Southern hospitality that we need more of in this world, and I thank them all for getting us on our way. For these reasons, I highly recommended Gibbes Ford, and award them a five star rating.

Came in to claim a prize and almost bought a car! Im only doing this review because I was treated so kindly by one of the salesman. Ill never forget Berry like a blueberry! After talking to me for a few minutes he made me realize I needed another vehicle. Even though I couldnt purchase that day, he treated me with dignity and respect. I would recommend Gibbes Ford to anyone that wants a vehicle.

I scheduled an appointment for my 2013 Ford F-150. I live in Orangeburg and usually have my truck serviced at Classic Ford in Columbia. I have never felt a friendly atmosphere at Gibbs but I decided to give them another chance. I wanted to get the 100,000 miles service and decided to get the coolants changed, transmission service and a tune up. My appointment was for Tuesday, May 26 at 10:30 am. I arrived at Gibbs at approximately 10:15 and spoke with a lady at the service desk. She got me checked in and was pleasant with the check in. I waited in the waiting area until approximately 12 or 12:30 and my truck was where I parked it when I arrived. Ms. DeeDee did arrange for someone to take me home and said she would call when my truck was ready. Later that day Ms DeeDee called me and said when the mechanic went to do my tune up he discovered there was an oil leak and the valve cover gasket needed to be replaced and I gave her the okay to have that done she was it would be an additional $530.00. On Wednesday, May 27th afternoon I called to see if my truck was ready and was told the value cover gasket did not come in I became upset and I just hung the phone up. I went to the dealership on Thursday, May 28th to check on the status of my truck and was told that the mechanic that is working on my truck is having back problems and my truck should be ready on Friday, May 28th by noon. Once again I left the dealership upset because the mechanic back issues should not reflect the quality service I receive. If he cannot do his job that is a Gibbs problem and should not be my problem. I am so upset I am writing this review even before my truck is ready. I don`t even have confidence that it will be ready on Friday, May 28th I can only hope. Gibbes Ford is a great place to get your automotive services and repairs done. The kind and courteous care that you receive is outstanding, especially if you are a ford owner like myself. Mr. Ed the Lead service rep. is a kind and caring man and he will see to it the you get the best service care for your vehicle. He is honest and he is not like many auto service shop reps. Ive dealt with in the past who give false diagnoses on your vehicle just to swindle you for a buck. I would recommend Gibbes as the place to get your auto care done right with secure backing on their work!

Parts department appears to be completely incompetent. A high school student would be better suited to find their way around on the computer system than these people. They had to call the mechanic up to help find a part, then they didnt order everything needed to complete the repair. So now we wait again... All this after a seemingly long time waiting for service in the first place.

Service usually is great, but this time, I had to wait 2 days for my car on the factory recall part, and it should have only been a couple of hours, they offered me a complimentary rental car. But the rental car wanted to take $50 off my card, I declined, because to me that is not complimentary. What was supposed to be 2-3 hours took 2 full days.

5 star service -I brought my 2004 Ford Expedition in for service at 8:00 a.m. The mechanicstarted work on it right away. About 3 hrs later the work was completed. No problems, runs very well. Great service. The staff at Gibbs are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

They checked my credit 12 times within one visit, causing my score to drop 100 points.They were very pushy and just wanted to sell me any type of car. I do appreciate them acknowledging my military service, but from my perspective, the salesman saw how young I was and just shot me some story about how his son was in the military just to keep me there long enough to run one last credit check.

I never write reviews-I give some stars and type one or two words. But had to do this. I live in Orangeburg and will never set foot in that place again. The service department staff (including parts counter staff) is the worst I have encountered anywhere. If I could, Id give them zero stars. When entering the service department, there is a sign beside door stating that it is a politically correct establishment, etc. That was a Red flag for me but I decided to give them another chance. Previous visit and phone calls were awful but I thought maybe it could be me. Car issues can stress you and make you a little sensitive. This was my son(visiting from NC) with lost keyfob. Talked to other dealers, insurance co., locksmiths and went to Gibbes online site. Keyfob for car was listed as in-stock. Only needed to call to complete transaction. Had car towed there. Should have followed my belief-- when people show you who they are, believe them the first time! It was a complete waste of our time. Neither of the two women at service desk acknowledged our presence when we entered. After finally getting parts person to come to desk, we were told it was not in stock and it would take 3-5 days to get there. Not mad about that. But it was the way we were treated- barely looked at, complete lack of concern, dismissiveness-none of the helpfulness or service experienced in other reviews. This establishments culture of complete indifference to and disrespect for the people who make up the majority of their service area is disgusting. I write as a Christian woman who is unafraid to be politically incorrect but has little patience for those who use their right to be politically incorrect as an excuse to be rude, obnoxious and dismissive (morally incorrect) to those who do not look like them.Update---I have since spoken with the owner who assured me that he has met with his staff and has put in place policies and procedures to ensure that what happened to me and my son does not happen again. Very poor service. Took my 2013 Ford Explorer in as it shut off without warning on I-26. I was going 65 and car lost all power. Told the service dept about my experience and the ladies response was we dont offer loaners and you have to pay for a rental car out of your own pocket. They had my car for a week and in the end told me they could not find anything wrong with it. For good measure they charged me $105.00 for nothing. Be aware that the Ford Explorers are having major issues with the engines shutting off without warning. This is a dangerous condition and may result in serious injury.

I am writing this review on behalf of my sister. She called the dealership before she even got there and was excited that she won her $500 prize that matched on her ticket. So she drove an hour to this place to pick up the $500.As soon as she gets there she meets a salesman who was very nice to her and tried to sell her a vehicle.She explained to him that buying a vehicle was not in her plans and she was just there to pick up the prize. So they sent her on a 2 hour long ride of trying to buy a vehicle.Then when she asked about her prize money and how was she be able to get it, they walk her over to a golden box and spin it to see if she would get money. Even though her claim stated that she would get $500 in cash.So she went out to the box and pick out an envelope, the envelope only had $5 in it. Then when I called to inquire back why in the hell did she not get her $500, they stated to me that her ticket number on her paper did not match the ticket number on their wall and that she would be able to try again next year.Im writing this review because this is just a sales scam even though when she called them beforehand they said that she would get a $500 cash prize. What a terrible way to sit there and get people just to come up to a dealership just to buy a car from you because its the only sales pitch that you could come up with.Dont go here and I hope everyone has a happy holiday even though they messed up my sisters holiday plans to go Black Friday shopping for her nephew. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I received a card in the mail that stated I won $200 cash. Knowing how sweepstakes are, I read the fine print AND called on 2 separate occasions and asked what I had to do claim my prize and was there a twist. They simply told me to come and to claim my prize which on the flyer stated $200. When I got there, after taking a 40 minute drive, a representative asked me if I wanted to switch my 2016 Kia in for a Ford, which I told him I just claimed to pick up my prize. He then told me that I only won $5. That is false advertisement and the flyers are a complete SCAM.
