I had a nice visit and staff were upbeat and kind. Dr. Joe was fun and helpful to assist my needs, no pressure and easy assistance to get my eyes examined. Clean and comfortable experience!

2 years ago I got my exam and purchased my glasses here and the experience was fine. Fast forward to 2021 (MAY) they have young kids doing the pre exam portion and assisting with glasses. They also charge $99 for an exam which Is ridiculously expensive and I didnt even opt in for a x ray! They told me 10-15 business days to receive my glasses. I called on the 9th business day, the 14th business day, and the 15th business day. The never followed up, called, or even left me a message to tell me when my glasses arrived. I had my wife go pick them up on the 16th business day. Very unprofessional and lacking in the customer service department. I gave them my business twice and will go elsewhere who appreciates their customers. If you have insurance thats great the value is fair but if you go in without insurance be prepared to be taken advantaged of! So many other options please dont choose this one!

Dr. Pierce saved my daughters vision. My daughter went to an eye doctor with her mom in Lincoln where she lived at the time. That doctor said nothing was wrong with her vision but my daughter complained of not being able to see well when she visited me. Low and behold one of her eyes was so bad that her brain was starting to ignore it and the eye was going lazy! How could a doctor have missed that?! If it werent for Dr. Pierce my daughter would have a lazy eye for life and basically mono-vision. Dr. Pierce is so gentle, kind and warm that shes a pleasure to talk to. Shes easy for kids to get along with and happy to answer any dumb questions I might have including what does that cool machine do?? haha I absolutely would never go anywhere else.The other staff here are very helpful and nice and seem a lot less frustrated these days since the computers got upgraded (I was shocked by the old Macs that were in use and almost walked out because of them. Im glad I didnt!). They have a good selection of glasses and sunglasses and are very patient with kids while they try on options.Thank you Dr. Pierce. you genuinely changed my daughters life.

It sounds like Melissa was having a bad day that day. I have been going here to get my eyes checked for years and Jamie has always been super polite. Everyone else that works there has also been very polite as well. Karen, you quoted Jamie saying, “Pop out the contacts in your eyes.” Not sure how you find that rude in any way. I think you’re just entitled. I’m offended by your comment because it is simply not true. Guys, don’t let one grumpy girls review have an impact on you. Keep doing what your doing! I won’t go anywhere else.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr Joe for 10 years and appreciate their professionalism and friendly atmosphere.

Worst experience ever. Just demanding money for everything. We went for our kids looking at the google reviews and what a mess. Our kids were forced through procedures which they didn’t need and were charged for everything after insurance and one kid didn’t complete the procedure as he was too young to have that procedure. I repeatedly said not to do the procedure but the went ahead anyways and charged us.

Worst customer service from the STORE MANAGER Jamie Vaughn. Everyone else is great except her. I went in to get my yearly check up. Once it came down to paying, I had concerns about the total and then I asked the young lady that was helping me to take out the contact prescription because I didn’t need it. The store manager then gets into the conversation and told me to give her the try-out boxes and then told me and I quote “POP OUT THE CONTACTS IN YOUR EYES.” I personally thought it was super rude, especially coming from a store manager. I understand giving her the boxes was required, which I had no problem with giving it back, but saying to “pop out” the contacts that were already in my eyes was extremely out of character. She wasn’t going to use them for someone else anyways? The store manager really needs to correct her behavior and have a better customer service. Learn how to express yourself to others and set a better example for your own employers. Dr. Joe needs to train her to be a better manager.

I am not sure about this place. The front office is aways too busy. If you call the put you on hold and forget you or you get a recording. I am trying some place else because I am tired of fighting to get a simple exam appointment. Maybe you will have better luck.

I experienced an amazing staff who were more than willing to help me out. Even the facility was clean and it was a delightful atmosphere. Dr. Joe did a wonderful job with helping me understand more about my issues with dry eyes. I truly had a great experience. There is no other place that I would rather go to.

These people are terrific! Dr. Joe has a great sense of humor and has taken great lengths to help fit me for contacts with astigmatism, and presbyopia. They have provided several pairs of lenses for me to try over an extended period, as well as different samples of saline, and other contact cleaners. The staff is extremely gracious and helpful. I couldnt recommend this place more!

Dr. Joe did a fabulous job as he was the first doctor I had for my appointment the other day. I definitely recommend going to him for any of your eye care needs. This is a great place with a great atmosphere and great prices.

Last week I went into my yearly checkup and had to meet with with Dr. Joe instead of my usual one. Never have I had just a wonderful customer experience. Dr. Joe was the most thorough, and helpful optometrist I have ever experience since I started wearing glasses 35 some years ago. If you want a professional and kinda environment see Dr. Joe at Overland Park Eye Center!

I have been a patient of Dr. Joes for more than 30 years! He provides complete and thorough eye exams, including retinae photography and glaucoma testing! His staff is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The Overland Park Eye Center is also a great place to check-out contact lenses! With helpful staff to teach you how to put em in and take em out and how to care for your lenses. They offer a wide selection of eyeglass frames for men, women, children and sports. I particularly appreciate center hours after 5 p.m. so I can go after work and use my weekends for family activities. I recommend Dr. Joe and Overland Park Eye Center without reservation.

Very good experience staff was friendly and understood my vision needs and were able to help me. After going here i would never go to another eye doctor. Great doctor and would recommend to a friend.

Let’s be honest, doctors and dentists have to be more than just good healthcare providers, and with eye doctors in particular I need understanding and patience (I mean poking around in my eyes isnt something I really relish!), honesty, affordability and probably most importantly I need to know Im going to be given the best care I can get. This is exactly what I get, every time at Overland Park Eye Center. From my examination with Dr Joe, to the lovely staff who then fit me with glasses, they are all great. Theres just something really comforting about being there, and absolutely I would recommend Dr Joe without hesitation. They are just brilliant.

The OP Eye Center is the best eye center that I have ever been to. I have been to many eye care centers and this one is by far the best. The doctor spends much time with the patient and creates a friendly and fun enviroment while getting checked. There is many different selections for the right type of frame for your new glasses. Dr. Joe makes sure that each patient is fully satisfied with their new lenses and lives for this job. I would recomend going to this great eye center. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they make you feel like you are at home. Overall great place for families to get their eyes checked or simply buy a pair of sunglasses.

Went there looking for a pair of lightweight glasses. I was currently wearing plastic. I ended up getting metal frame, that ended up being with the lenses much heavier. Plus even with the lenses being compressed, they hang over the metal frame. I tried wearing them for 3 weeks and did not like the heaviness. I called to see what they could do to help me out, she said they can only adjust them. I said that wont help the heaviness. She said because I have vsp they cant do anything. The funny thing is I looked up other places like Lens Crafter and Walmart eye and some more places they give you anywhere from 30 to 90 days to see if you like them. I would not go here.

Great facility and great staff. Had a large selection and the whole process was quick and affordable.

Called to see what the exam costs would be, the receptionist was very pushy trying to get my contact info before answering questions about cost. Ended up telling her I would call my insurance to see what would be covered first and then schedule later and the receptionist laughed a little then hung up on me when she realized I didnt want to schedule right then. Very surprised by how rude she was, I will not be going there for an exam.

They fixed my eyes! I have always had a hard time seeing (blurred vision) but Overland Park Eye Center helped me out.
