Owner is so sweet and helpful! Reminiscent of my last trip before the pandemic to Paris, I couldn’t resist stopping by when I saw that they get their flour and butter from France. Everything is perfection, from the baguettes to croissants to pastries. I was very tempted by the beautiful cakes that were on display too. I’ll definitely stop by next time I’m in town!
Come here and youll truly receive a French bakery experience. The wife is very expressive and will call you out if needed and also tout her wonderful creations. And they are wonderful. Believe the hype
Great French baked goods using flour & butter imported from France. Love their pastries...the croissants are flaky they fall to pieces in your mouth - really reminds me of pastries I had in Nice, France. The breads are crisp and crunchy on the outside, beautifully cooked and baked to French perfection - nice with plenty of butter or just by themselves.
I had this on my list of must try spots in Palm Springs and finally got to go this morning! These are the most amazing pastries Ive ever had! We tried the almond croissant, blueberry cream cheese, and peach custard. Only wish I could try more but I dont think we could handle any more. Everyone was very nice and friendly as well - I didnt feel rushed or anything while admiring the display of yummy pastries. Definitely a must visit spot in Palm Springs.
Cute little shop with authentic French pastries. You can taste the quality of the ingredients used. Price is reasonable, and the owner is friendly. We purchased a chocolate croissant and baguette to go. Those treats didnt even make it out of the parking lot; we devoured them in the car, and had to return for more!
True to the source this bakery has the best french breads, pastries, desserts in PS.
Love this bakery. Fresh croissants by legitimate French baker.. but get there early as they often sell out!
Well crafted beautiful pastries. Make sure to divide any single pastry in four servings as any single serving from this store is too dense and satisfying for a single person.
Crossaint part of the pain au chocolat was quite perfect, but somewhat sparse actual chocolate inside. No matter-- it was still a treat since I am not getting back to Europe any time soon. The cheesecake looked downright amazing so I got a slice to enjoy the next day but it was rather bland and dry. Not what I expected as far as taste and texture. Not creamy. Nearly flavorless. Disappointing.
Great patisserie and that is coming from a couple of New York food snobs. So happy to have found such a nice surprise in the desert.
Best pastries that Ive ever tasted. Every time Im in the area I make sure get some desserts. Got to get there early because they sell out, thats how good they are. Ive called in orders and they made it happen in such a short notice, thanks again! It was delicious like always.
Best baguettes outside Paris, which was surprising to me. I wish they were in San Francisco or San Mateo counties!
We just came for a coffee and left with four pastries and two breads. :) Every single one was unique and full of taste! You can taste the quality! Heaven for your taste buds! Thank you!
Lovely place. Excellent pastries. Traditional French. Get there early in the day before they run out.
Dont mind the grumpy owner, her staff makes up for it and the pastry is amazing.
Heaven, absolute heaven. The pastries are big enough for two, which makes mixing and matching tasty and fun. I predict a very long and extremely successful run for this superb French bakery in the Palm Springs market. The owners and staff are terrific. There is a line outside the door on Sunday mornings, go early. All in all a perfect recipe.
THIS FRENCH LADY AND HER BAKERY ARE VERY BASIC. YOU ONLY TASTE BURNT BUTTER IN ALL OF HER ITEMS. VERY BLAND AND NOT FRENCH. SHE HOWEVER IS FRENCH AND IS VERY VERY VERY RUDE. NOT FRIENDLY. NOT WELCOMING. NOT INCLUSIVE. DID THEY KICK YOU OUT OF FRANCE?
Wonderful bread and sweets. Closed too many days.
Fantastic service and delightful bread and pastries....
Best French bread and pastries!
First time... why hasnt anyone told me about this befor... so yummie
Delicious authentic French boulangerie where the owner imports French flour and butter. Yummy and a taste of France in the desert.
I love Paris, the Côte d’Azur, and Provence. The food, the wine, the culture, and the warm people, keep France at the top of my favorite places to visit. Peninsula Pastries is an artisanal and authentic French patisserie (bakery) in the heart of Palm Springs. I’ve been going there for years, and the large selection of French pastries, cakes and bread are perfection. This French bakery makes the best tasting cakes, baguettes and pastries in the Coachella Valley. Don’t just take my word for it, go and check it out yourself. Tell ‘em that Roy sent you! Cheers!
The best French pastries in the desert! The Chocolate Tongue, Butterscotch Twitch, and Almond Croissant are favorites of mine, generous size and delicious. Baguettes are perfect, but they go fast due to popularity.
The quality of the bread and pastries offered here are among the best Ive had anywhere...truly wonderful! Thank you!
Amazing pastries! Great service. You know its legit by the sold out items at 8 30am! Be sure to get the pecan butterscotch pastry, unbelievable
Wow! A slice of France here in Palm Springs. The quality of the croissants, breads and other baked items is authentic and yummy. Items sell out early so try and arrive before noon, or earlier. The begets and other loafs of bread are wonderful items to share. Know one was disappointed. The products are superb!! I look forward to returning very soon.
Fantastic! The Pain Au Chocolat melts in your mouth!
Best pastries
This bakery is very good ...absolutely a must if your in Palm Springs area
Love this place! The cheese baguettes are amazing. For special occasions, you must get their Gateau St. Honoré! Everything is excellent!
Looks are Not enough. We got beautiful looking chocolate croissants, but too dry, not much flavor, and with two THIN little lines of chocolate, maybe a teaspoon worth, kinda baked on to the bottom. Cute little place, and way overpriced for that. From the other reviews, I expected Much better. They did have other items that looked great. Ill pass.
Best french pasties in town! Enjoy stopping in for a fresh trear.
Loved my experience today! Almond croissant was more than excellent. Awesome customer service!
These are the best pastries outside of France. Come in the morning while they are still warm. I have a condo in Palm Springs and this is the highlight of my morning. Dont miss it
A Palm Springs’ treasure...the finest authentic French pastries and breads around. Best customer service.
They have the best baguettes in town! They use imported wheat from France without all those additives.
Love but hate this place only because every time I’m in town they are always closed. ☹️
Always amazing French Bakery
Amazing French pastries, fantastic place!
French pastries that are so very good.
Go for the baguettes. Hard crunch on the outside, chewy and flavorful on the inside. Most days you have to hit it at the right time because waiting too long and shes out. If you missed it ask her what times they come out of the oven and time your visit for shortly after that.
The best place in Palm Springs all across the board. Amazing espresso, baked goods and fantastic decor. A little slice of Paris.
Wow! Having returned from Paris a month ago, we thought we would have to wait until our next trip to find authentic French baking. But here it was in this lovely little bakery in Palm Springs! The pastries are wonderful, the bread fantastic, and the owner friendly and helpful! What a wonderful find!
Absolutely spectacular french bakery! The croissants, pastries, are wonderful, and they are the only ones in the valley who bake real hard crusty traditional bread. They do everything in the European traditional way, even import the flour from France and it shows.
Guess I expected to much. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Wish I could have tried the fresh bread though. Just had pastries for a quick breakfast.
My favorite Palm Springs authentic french bakery.
Real French pastries and breads made with love. They actually import their ingredients directly from France to offer the real deal. A must in the desert!
Quality pastries Knowledgeable staff. Eye catching desserts!
As others have said: genuinely French, superbly executed, divine to enjoy. As there are no tables, I was sorely tempted to jettison all decorum, plop on the floor, and savor immediately. Next time I just might...
These French pastries are to die for! And the daily fresh bread baguettes reminded me of shopping for dinner items in the South of France. You can smell and tell top ingredients are used in all of her recipes.
Best French bread this side of Paris. Crusty outside and great texture inside. Breakfast rolls are flaky butter pastries that melt in your mouth.
All the pleasures of a Paris bakery without a plane ride.
Delicious pastries and cakes.
Ive scoured Los Angeles and have yet to find a bakery with French pastries this good. If I need a reason to drive from LA to Palm Springs, getting pastries early in the morning is enough reason. Try everything.
We go here everytime were in Palm springs... truly authentic French pastries, baguette and well made cappuccino. Consistent and luxurious...we love to show up at friends with a box of assorted goodies.
These people are so arrogant. The pastries are ok... but part of any experience in a storefront is a professional level of service... they are NOT professional or nice... There are others who have better pastries and want my business.
Outstanding pastry! I will come back for bread next! I mean this is WOW. my husband is German he said it was even better than anything he had in Europe! that good
Authentic and scrumptious French breads and decadent pastries. Unfortunately, they go on holiday and close during summer months. Sign on the door says theyre reopening on Sept 4th at 8:00!AM
Wonderful and delicious pastries. Better than what we have in San Francisco and no lines or pretenses. One more reason for us to visit Palm Springs.
I tried the chocolate tongue and the butterscotch pecan pastries. Both were delicious and decadent.
Just the best French bakery ever. Exquisite pastries and breads. The proprietors are lovely folks too.
Classically French with a wonderful ‘Bonjour’ as you arrive. Perfect croissants, flans and baguettes. Great start to the day with a wonderful owner making all welcome. One of the best French bakeries in SoCal.
Beautiful to look at and delicious to eat! We picked up an assortment to bring to friends for morning coffee. Outstanding!
The freshest pastries I have ever tasted. Even better then in Paris! The owner is great, the baguettes are outstanding. A must if u are in Palm Springs.
Maybe the best bakery in the valley outstanding French pastries and bread
After 3 years in California, this is the first time I see a true French bakery where I can enjoy the same delicious products as at home.
The pastries and bread here are world class. In truth we we did not expect to find this kind of delicious when we came on holiday to the US. It really does take a French couple to create French magic.
Superlative. The only place other than St. Barth in the Caribbean where I have ever been able to find the true chocolate-almond croissant!
The bread is superb! This bakery is France in Palm Springs!
Beautiful little spot with unique French pastries. Worth checking out for your post breakfast snack.
Jadore!! Since I girst discovered this place, now I made it my priority to go here every time Im in Palm Springs.
I loved the olive baguette fresh out of the oven! Practiced my rausty French with the owner, great pasteries!
Bad owners.very unfriendly owners. No one work too long there. Pastry not at it s best... Re heated pastries. Not enought choice on display too pricy.
Wonderful!!! Authentic French bakery. I had pastry that tasted like flowers! So unusual and delicious.
Love this place authentic French Pastries...must try the butterscotch pecan twist!
Excellent French pastries and bread. Bread available starting at 11a. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
The best Pastries in the Valley. For sure, been twice and will be back.
Awesome pastries
Well, if I had to choose one word to describe the offerings of this shop, it would be be INCONSISTENT. Their offerings today, for example, were quite sparse, plus they do not offer macaroons--a fine pastry that should be a core item on the menu. Moreover, today I got a slightly burnt tasting and burnt looking apple turnover. Hmmm...the last time I visited, I got a truly burnt pastry crust on the citron tarte (lemon tarte). So, again, the quality is inconsistent. The croissants have usually been quite good, but quality control and consistency are shortcomings of this shop.
These pastries are always wonderful. Buying something chocolate here is part of every trip we make to Palm Springs.
This bakery is the real deal...there are so many mediocre bakeries in the CV Valley and this one stands alone IMO. I’m a huge fan of French baking...some of my faves include Du Pain et Des Idees in Paris and b Patisserie in SF. I now have to add Peninsula Pastries to that list. Their kouign amann is one of the best I’ve tasted...the superb caramel taste, not too sweet, the right balance of crispy/crunchy/chewy. Just divine. Also had the bacon baguette and the apple turnover which were also superb. The location and decor of the place may throw you off...but reserve your judgement and eat to your heart’s content.
Although limited selections and quanities when Ive been in an EXCELLENT French baker of pastries!
Too far to go to Paris? Stop here and the pastries will take you there.
Delicious French bakery. Hoping for some Kouign Amann one if these days...
Wonderful, delicious French pastries! Especially the apple turnover, you must try it!
Very well done french pastries, costumer service and price
French almond croissants are legitimately amazing.
Happy little place...I love their pastries...almond croissant is wonderful ! Owner is a sweetheart...
The food is so amazing, I truly felt like I was strolling down the streets of Paris and happened upon a local pastry shop.
