20 years ago Carrs was very clean, well organized, and was relatively inexpensive. The deli was decent and a go to place for quick meal. Over the years it has been steadily going down hill. The last couple of times the deli (Chinese food was one of my favorites) was inedible, and I am not a picky eater). The prices have been high for some time and would be okay if the quality was good. Disappointing

The pharmacy stuff needs some fine tuning. Some staff members are very rude over the phone and on several occasions my provider has called in prescriptions but when I go to pick them up, Im told that there is no prescriptions that were sent in for me. it takes an extra day because I have to call my provider and go through the hassle of explaining the situation to him and then wait for him to sort it out and then wait for the slow staff at the pharmacy. I do Not have the same issues with all staff members. The shift with the 2 male technicians always comes through

No so crowded and they have a better bakery than freddies

The app is not as complicated as this app for Fred Meyer and I can save about 30% if I shop smart and use my app. I really work the points hard so I get a dollar off a gallon on fuel.

Palmer Carrs is so different from any other Carrs. Great produce, organic, and everything between.I pass up Wasilla and head right for Palmer now.

Easy to find what we want. Also get Mexican Cokes, that is made with sugar, and not that sold usually to the people.

I have always loved Palmer Carrs and the employees that have worked there. They just seem more courteous and genuinely interested in helping customers find what they need. It may be an older building but it has a certain charm and character that fits the Palmer community.

This one is always super clean and so much easier to shop then the big stores. Love it!

It’s just like a Safeway oh wait it is Safeway! Pretty good experience for a grocery store but go figure run into a Flyers fan stocking the shelving and in Alaska at that. I’m sure when I’m back in Palmer in May I will make another visit for the essentials.

Always a great place to shop. Friendly staff, efficient assistance if necessary. The best produce other than home grown or a farmers market. Delicious bakery items. The meat section will make you want to buy everything and rush home and start cooking immediately!

Not as well stocked as other locations. Pharmacy staff is helpful and efficient ~ and bonus, there is a lab, Quest Diagnostics in store too.

The only place that stays open until 2:00 AM.

Dont really shop at cars that much but its nice to have two grocery stores so close to each other in Palmer Alaska

Oddly enough, best star bucks in the state. Everyone wears a mask, its out of the way enough to not be overshopped. Prices are a bit higher, so take advantage of sales & coupons.

Was waiting for McDonalds to open, due to a failed early morning coffee stand run (only to learn no coffee stand open till 7am Sunday)... So I sat awkwardly, as the swing shift (I assume) was getting off work and shuffling to their cars, trying not to make eye contact like Im a serial killer. When the only hunger inmy eyes was the delicious mcgriddle down the hill..

Spend more and get less avoid Carrs its not worth it

The wings have changed. Deli staff was kind to prepare a special order of the salt&vinegar wings for me, which I asked to be done crispy. But got them home & discovered these are now twice the size of the ones they used to make, and super blubbery. Even tried to cook off some of the fat in the convection oven for 25 min, didnt work. Disappointing.

I love that the Palmer store is less populated than Wasilla. For some reason the store is set up better, and I can get in, make my choices, and get out the door without spending all day perusing each aisle. I love the $5 Friday specials. Make sure to use the phone app!

They put care into their flower arrangements for mothers day and it shows. Store was clean and the florists were so helpful and engaging it really made the shopping experience outstanding. The self check out clerk was on point and made sure that my needs were met before I needed to request help which made using the vexing self check machines less painful. Overall a smooth trip which I really appreciated on a busy holiday!

I called and Ellen helped me out she was very friendly and helped me find what I needed for my loved one even tho I was far away and couldnt be there ! (Floral department)

Very nice, attractive, and clean store. Lighting is very good; aisles are easy to navigate. Have great selection of goods. Parking is adequate to the store size. Service is friendly and while I dont use it there is self scan. I prefer the personal touch so go through lanes with service reps/cashier

One of the better Carrs stores here in Palmer. Kudos to the gal working in the floral dept who put together an excellent bouquet of flowers for me over the phone to surprise my girlfriend when she came in to shop as I was working out of town. It is this kind of service that keeps me shopping at the Palmer location.

Idk why Im writing a review for Carrs in Palmer. That town has basically no grocery stores. Fred Meyer and Carrs is it. If you havent been to them, Im not sure what to tell ya.5 stars.

I enjoyed my early morning at Carrs, shopping for veggies and meats for the week. The cashier was friendly with greetings and conversation. One observation that I point out was all the boxes and large carts in the isles and blocking end caps. I moved what I need to to get to what I wanted but some folks may feel less compelled to. Thank you for my grocers with a smile.

I love carrs safeway stores. They always smell great and give me a nostalgic feeling. Usually pretty good produce. You can find almost anything here. Note that its definitely worth getting a membership card here, because without it the prices are absurd.

Usually great prices with good sales that saves a decent amount of money.Selections are huge and makes it easy to find something for everyone.I have yet to see more than 2 or 3 registers ever open at the same time and sometimes the wait at the deli and hot food are too long even with only 1 person in line.I use the app and it helps to save money and get fuel points which is hugely helpful.

The stores seem slightly larger than what I see in other states. Typical Safeway products. Floral dept is awesome! Great bakery, deli offerings, and butchery.

Always clean inside. I occasionally go to this carrs for lunch because they have an area you can sit down and eat. and its fast and convenient. Ive also had good experiences with their flower department.

Super clean and organized, notgung compared to the Carrs in Anchorage. A very helpful employee helped me to set up an member account, even while my kid wasnt having it. She took her time explaining how it work, also have me some tips. I have to admit that it makes a huge difference when you go to a store where someone takes their time to help you out instead of rushing. Thank you so much, this mom really appreciated all the help provided.

I like Carr’s but I miss when it was actually Carr’s ( as it is Safeway)Carr’s cas great Friday deals and the store is clean. The plants, produce and deli are nice too.Carr’s in the 1980’s was just different.Always the nicest people working.
