It’s rare that I am able to leave an honest, positive review for a car dealer that I have attempted to buy from. The sad truth is, most of the dealerships I’ve shopped have had bad deals, ignorant salesmen, awful pricing, or some kind of ridiculous bait and switch tactic; that’s just the sad reality of the world we live in. Anton is one of the few I’ve met who is honest, upfront, and trusting. His word is good, and your word is good to him. He happened to have the car I wanted in stock. He gave me a very fair price and I agreed to purchase from him, and even though it took longer than I had expected to get the money together, he was patient and took my word that I was going to complete the sale. He delivered exactly what he promised and included an inspection sticker for the price. Car sales is a business that requires moving large volumes of inventory, and since an individual doesn’t buy cars too often, some dealers make no effort to cultivate a long-term relationship. Alex auto sales is a notable exception. I don’t plan to buy another vehicle any time soon, but if I did, they would be my first contact.
I recently bought a 2006 Nissan Altima with low miles, he paid off my 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Im saving for a house and I take the train to work and only drive on the weekends so I barely drove the Jeep although it was my pride and joy. Alex wouldnt come down on the price of the Altima, tried to mansplain things he would have to fix on my Jeep. Nope, sorry, I just had both the front and rear brakes and rotors done, brand new rims and tires on that beast. But whatever, I digress. Heres my issue, I get the car home, bring it to my mechanic. I admit, I shouldve done this to begin with, but he is located in Peabody, I live in Quincy, 30 miles away. So my mechanic, says, well the engine seems ok, but the tires are more than 65% worn, the brakes and rotors are more than 75% worn, the passenger side mirror is loose to the touch, and the flexpipe is rusted out and extremely dented. Now, Alex told me he inspected all of these things and nothing needed to be done with the car, so imagine my shock when I find out all of this work needs to be done. I think great, I have two jobs, work over 80 hours a week and dont have time to dedicate two days to drop off the car to Peabody and then have no way of getting home to Quincy. I called Alex and told him about what the mechanic found, he acts shocked and doesnt say hell fix it, he says, well, bring it back and we can talk. Oh no, talk about it? No thanks, I know what that means, more mansplaining of why he doesnt want or need to fix A, B and C etc etc. So I drop my car off at my trusted and reliable mechanic. I get the car back and I email Alex and attach the invoice. *Crickets* So one week later, I call Alex and say, hey, did my email go through, because you never responded or called? He starts to mansplain and say how I didnt do it right and I shouldve gone through him and hes not paying. LOL. Wait, you want me to trust you with the car that you knew had problems and you didnt take the time or initiative to fix? You sold me a car that wasnt safe then wanted me to drive 30 miles back with said car? Dont walk, RUN away from this place. I also tried calling again and still have yet to hear back. I just emailed for a second time and all he has to do is send a check for the repairs that were made, the total amount of the repairs was $1280. Also, the car is back in the shop for some strange noise and vibration its making. They say it may be a motormount. Im actually shocked he has any positive reviews because this has been nothing but a nightmare. Imagine taken advantage of someone during a pandemic.
Super friendly staff. They are people of their word and are willing to fix any problems with any of their cars before you buy. They also offer 30 days after purchase to fix any issues you may run into.
It was one of the best car buying experience I ever had. This guys are the best! If I need another car, am definitely using Alex Auto Sales, over and over again
I bought a Mercury Mariner off them at a great price. The dealer sells out of a gas station that has a repair shop attached. So if there is anything wrong with the car it will get fixed prior to even listing it. And the cars are very clean. I am now looking to buy another car. Something newer. And Alex is my first go to place. I trust this guy !!!!
Bought a car here 1 year ago, great place free air for your tires, you can get gas, stickers, very honest men who work here.
I got a great car here and the process couldnt have been easier. This is the place to go for a good deal on a good used car!
Tried to contact about buying a car. Did respond until 2 days later. Told them I wanted to sell my truck and trade for their car. Gave them Miles and VIN havent responded in a week. Then Lowered price on the car. Not great sales tactic.
They are reliable and honest with good service.
Fast Friendly Service.
