Excellent work at a fair price

I was hoping theyd be able to provide a permanent fix for the exhaust system shifting on my car. Instead the lady on the phone basically said not to bring it there. Refused my business. Not pleased and kind of offended.

Does a good job for 1/2 the price

From a friend. She left this on their facebook page as a review and they shut their page down.Two weeks ago my car broke down and I took it to Dane Automotive to see what was wrong with it. I was quoted around $330 to fix the issue. Two days later when it was done they called me and told me it was now a little over $400 because he had to fix some wiring but never called me first to okay the additional charges. This past Saturday I was in Lacon for my sons football game and after dropping him off to warm up, I drove to the gas station to get some bottles of water and when I went to leave my car wouldnt start again. I had to walk about a mile back to my sons game and then was stranded an hour from home until my mom could drive out there and get me. I had to pay $216 for another rental car due to having a work meeting in Chicago the past two days. I was referred to a mechanic in Lacon to take a look at my car, they towed it to his shop today and a connector to my clutch switch, which Mike Dane had just fixed, had come loose due to him not doing the work correctly. So for the tow and to fix it, another $87. Called Dane Automotive and theyre willing to reimburse me the $37 it cost to repair the part even though I am now out about $700. So word to the wise, if you need repair work done I most definitely would not take it to this shady mechanic.
