Had a 1pm appointment for a oil change. No appointment in the log book though. Manager apologized and got me in and out within 45 minutes. Excellent customer services. Place was really busy but the Manager made sure people were in and out. Will be back

This is actually my second negative review of this dump but I actually took the first one down after they reached out to me. This time I will do them no such courtesy. Condescending liars. They were constantly lying about when they would even start work on my vehicle, trying to revise what theyd said, and then when backed into a corner basically offered a Yeah, and? We lied. I almost even went back to them this past week but ultimately decided to go with another business, and this particular one didnt jerk me around anywhere near as hard.So to the guys at Precision Tune Auto who will undoubtedly read this, I implore you to not bother reaching out and instead focus on yourselves.

This place needs a better management or a leader that knows what is going on to better deliver the expected service to a customer Made a appointment along with other people in the wait room. Obviously we didnt get in at our schedule time. Took two hours beyond my appointment time to get in. The man up front kept making excuses but was talking to other people that didnt seem to be customers outside in the parking lot. Everybody in the wait room was pushed back for their service. Then we were told a mechanic had went to lunch. A oil change and tire rotation took four hours. This place needs a extreme overhaul with management or whoever is in charge of this place.
This place deserves zero stars. Long wait time. They tried to pressure me into service that my car didnt need. I just had my car checked at the dealershipand come here for a alignment because I had a groupon. The guy become arrogant and rude after I declined the suggested work.They took forever to pull my car out of the shop. I took my car back to the dealership paid a little more. But I didnt need those repairs. Buyer Beware of this shop. Never will return.
Talk about great service. Today I came over because my gears would not shift and they let me know I have recalls on my 2016 Ford Fusion... Anne stepped me through the process and save me thousands... Ive been coming here for years but they just became my only mechanic... Integrity, understanding, and character... what else can I ask for? Get like them...
Im not a fan of Precision Tune Auto Care. I will say, I only come when there is a Groupon available. I do not see myself paying full price for their work. After my recent visit, Ive decided I will not longer deal with them at all. There has not been one time over the past 3+ years that there was SOMETHING they were not able to complete. Oftentimes, theyve found something else Ive needed done before they could complete what it was I originally came in for. Ive also caught them not being completely honest, through consulting with multiple other professionals. There were times (like recently) that I felt the work wasnt really done or wasnt properly completed because the same issue was there after paying. I wouldnt trust them to go back and complete it after complaining. I will not be using their services again. This review has popped up as a suggested multiple times so maybe it was a sign that my review will help someone else. The 3 stars is a reflection of their work and customer service throughout my entire, personal, experience with them. These are only my views and options; please, take them as such. He is very knowledgeable and will explain the job to you in every detail so that youll know what to expect from start to finish. The actual service seems to have been ok but the customer service was far less than what I expected for the $722 that I was paying for the work I needed. Danny specifically stated remind us about the military discount BEFORE we cash you out to get the discount When I get there to pay and I remind him he stated he already closed the ticket in the computer. How did you close something I had not paid for? Then he even tells me he wished he would have known about it before hand. As if to pacify me Im told its only $10. Then class me 10 minutes before closing wanting me to get there so he could get that $$. Ill pay what I owe but I expect businesses to honor their word. I will NOT be back so Danny No, you will NOT see me next time.
Friendly front staff and easy to get an appointment but my god this palce don’t have anywhere for you to park and although they may let you know you have a long wait it’s way too long of a long wait. It’s best tos rip off your car and pick it up later. Came with Groupon and no issues. The guy with long hair in the back needs to work on his customer service skills or learn how to deal with folks period. Best to make app in the am.
Precision Tune has been taking care of my cars for almost two years. Completely knowledgeable staff and the management is amazing. Any issue with a car gets diagnosed immediately. I would have to say Juanel and Duane are pretty awesome. Anne Marie the manager has always taken care of me. I love her! Will forever have my business.
Jay was very professional i came to him after i went to the dealership and they gave me a paper with all this work they twing me i needed i came to jay the manager and he let me know i dont need half of what they tellingme he did what was needed thank you jay will return again he didnt tey to get over because im a female fare prices. Kind unprofessional, we were told an hour and then the manager disappeared but came back. We were there to follow up on an oil change that was performed at another location. However at the end they were accommodating and gave us a free estimate.
I would recommend this business if you are willing to drop your vehicle off or have patience to WAIT!!!!! around, The reason I rated them 4 stars. It is constantly busy and even with an appt time scheduled it was definitely first come first serve seemly! The manager Jay’s customer service as soon as you walk in is what must keep them coming back.Jay is the backbone of that particular Precision Tune shop. I witnessed while we wait several eye rolls from other customers at the wait wait wait time. It would appear they need a front desk receptionist to work the front counter. Jay was everywhere trying so hard to adhere to everything! Once our vehicle was in and the services were finally started both, Jay and Duane were very efficient. Not enough mechanics it seems to handle the work load. It should be first come first serve, no appt necessary. Several set backs in the shop both times I went there weren’t conducive to even setting an appt time. Two new tires bought and put on my car it took 3.5 hrs even with a scheduled appt. Second trip front end alignment and state inspection with an appt took 2 hrs. Both times with at least a 1 hour wait time. Jay is extremely accommodating. His work ethic is great, though the overload in that shop should be viewed by whomever over see’s this Percision Tune Shop.
I called and scheduled an appointment before purchasing the Groupon. I was told to come on the scheduled day. When I arrived, with the Groupon purchased (non-refundable) I was told that there was no appointment scheduled under my name or number. I left, I then called about a week later and schedule an appointment for the same thing. I made sure the serviceman had my information and the time and date for the appointment. When I arrived the second time the exact same thing happened. It was so frustrating, the manager acted like he didnt even care, he didnt try to fix the situation. I just took the lose and took my car somewhere else, now I have an unused Groupon and 35 dollars less in my wallet. 🤬🤬😡

I called and made a appointment last week for service .When I arrived I was told they didnt have me scheduled and couldnt get me in. The environment was filthy and they made me feel that they were not trustworthy. I went to Jc repair shop and got my car fixed only spending under $2,000. This place is sketchy and obviously didnt want my business. I will not be back.
Yesterday on our way to a friends wedding, me and my boyfriend has gotten a flat tire. We are from NC and didn’t know anyone in VA nor did we have a tire! Juanel and the other employees here took care of us and made everything easy and quick! Not to mention the prices were very reasonable! I highly recommend coming here for any car maintenance!!

Made an appointment to get my oil change and then told me to it would be a 45 minute wait after that. Than he took my keys and still had me waiting till 12:30 I got my keys and left.

I Explained to Precision Tune’s Technician that car would not accelerate. They ran diagnostics and said the car throttle body was defective.Throttle body was replaced however, the problem remained.Next they said the transmission was the problem and replaced it. There were numerous problems getting the transmission programmed to work properly. Precision had to outsource the programming to a third party.After approximately a month, I picked up my car.After two weeks the problem returned. Precision ran diagnostics again and claimed that the Transmission Control Module was defective. They replaced the TCM . After replacing the TCM they told me I had to take the car to a dealer to have the TCM programmed in order for the car to work properly.I had to make arrangements to have the car towed from Precision to the dealer. (Precision’s computer could not complete the necessary programming)The dealer disagreed with Precision’s finding, saying the transmission was defective.The transmission that Precision placed in my car was under warranty, therefore I had my car towed to Precision for the third time. Once again it was necessary to outsource the programming.For the second time my car was returned to me .After about a month the problem returned and the transmission is again waiting for replacement One month has passed since the car was returned this last time. I have requested numerous times that the thousands of dollars they charged me to replace my transmission should be refunded! They clearly have no idea what they are doing nor how to fix it. I am out quite a bit of money now for all of these repairs that they claimed I need but have been able to fix. As you can imagine, having to constantly return my vehicle to them for the EXACT SAME ISSUE is quite frustrating. At this point I would just like my money back and to cut ties with Precision.1/28/2020 Just received a response from the owner stating that he doesnt have records of the throttle body replacement. I do not have the time to get on here and lie. Furthermore, Darryl was not privy to what took place. The thottle body was in fact replaced, but when we had to bring the car back for the same issue and they decided to replace the transmission, the throttle body was refunded. The point of the matter is that the vehicle has been returned to your shop MULTIPLE times for the SAME ISSUE, and now this great warranty you speak of has had us waiting for TWO MONTHS AND COUNTING because the vehicle is still in your possession. Nice try trying to redeem yourselves but this company is awful and I will NEVER bring another vehicle back to you!!

Went there on a Friday 8-17-18, @11:49am, after calling them... I was encouraged to come in, my AC was not cooling my car...the lady at the front desk said she would squeeze me in, it would take about an hour, people came and went. When i asked how much longer, the lady answered in a rude tone I squeezed you in and slammed the door to the shop. At 2: 25, she appeared.. telling me that to fix my car would cost over 800 dollars. I said no way... how much do i owe for now 147 dollar...they put freion in the car. Also a young man came in with no shirt on went to bathroom & came out wet, he appeared homeless. I felt uneasy. The whole experience was terrible. I WILL NOT be going there again.!!!!!

That being said I had called the day prior to make an appointment for an oil change easy enough everyone has done it the woman on the other end was friendly enough when asked to make said appointment I was told oh just drop it and we can get it. First time in my life unless I knew the people in the shop Ive been told that. Regardless sketchy or not I wait until the following as planned to drop off my truck we walk in no one is at the desk and no way to even call for someone so we wait and finally a woman whom I can only imagine I talk to walk through the door I asked to get a oil change done and was told we are not taking anymore unless its state inspection or you had an appointment..... With that being said I will not be coming back here

1st time took my car to get worked on they came up with a list of issues wrong with my car but took care of it what I sent it there for. 2nd time dropped my car off, converter, Induction service and tune up cost me $1100 on my car. Looked at my military ID and gave me $50 off. Not the usual military10% but I was just grateful I got some change off of the $1100 and they still found other stuff wrong with my car. 3rd time was getting an oil change and windshield replacement. The precision windshield place (different branch) didnt put my appointment in the system so I couldnt get that service done but I got the oil change. Went well and When they finished they called to let me know they were done. I went to pick up my car around 5:30pm which is after business hours. No one was there but all the doors to my car were unlocked. I just walked up and opened my car doors.
I wish I didnt have to give them even 1 star to post a comment..They are total con artist! They give you used parts, but charge as if the parts are new. (Without telling you the parts are used) Then when your car is not functioning properly, theyll make an excuse and blame it on you. Several of my coworkers had this issue recently, and my god sons mother did as well!! Be smart. Just go somewhere else.

Zero stars for this business!! Terrible first experience with this place! My husband went in to get a quote for breaks and the price was stated at $140ish. The day of the appointment the price goes from $140 to $275! (I should’ve recognized the red flags from the start smh). My husband and I go ahead with it because they give you a warranty on the breaks anyway right?? Well just 4 days after they “fix” the breaks, the truck sounds just as squeaky as it did before bringing it to them!! We bring it back to them and first they check to see if we are still in warranty limits as if we didn’t just get the breaks done the week before! Then they tell us to bring our vehicle Saturday morning at 8am but then inform my husband that they will have the truck all day because they have a day full of inspections to do. So the problem is there fault but we must be inconvenienced for a whole Saturday because they can’t repair breaks correctly the first time. They then proceed to hold our truck from 8am to 4:30pm and all they did was drive it once to hear the squeaking but had it sitting in their garage all freaking day long!!!! As a first time customer with them I do not recommend anyone use them! They only care about your money not the quality of customer service or actual mechanics service either!! It is ridiculous to treat your customers this way! Especially after charging them double the price and not even doing the job correctly at that!!
My tire had blowed out on my car before I even went there i had called n spoke with jay (which is an awesome guy ) he had tild me he would look at it n fix it for me .. so i get there n the lady in the front desk tells me he cant look at it and she didnt want my car in the lot n for me to take it elsewhere ... SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN .. jay if u read this find a better area n place to work u deserve that !

There is a sign that says regular oil change is on special for a certain price. A even less pice with a coupon. . When the oil change was complete the first time. The price was doubled the advertised price. I was told my car required a special filter. This was why the price increased. So time passed and I got a coupon and called to price another oil change. I told how much the coupon was and what model car I have. I was quoted a price and a appointment was made. When I got there a gentleman was complaining about his charge and the advertised price to the lady.which was double. When I asked the lady how much my oil change would be with the coupon. The price was doubled. This time she said it was because I needed six and a half quarts which I only use six and I neededspecial oil. Nothing this time about a special filter. I heard from others that this place is a rip off. I will never deal with them again.
This review may not change your perspective on the low oil change price or the long term car service this particular shop has been giving you, but the type of service i received was disappointing and down right unacceptable. I scheduled an appointment and was told that they were behind and it will be an hour and half i stated okay and left my phone number for the manager to call me. I was never called and i had to reschedule to a later date. I was offered a discount and i was slightly appreciative. I came back on the new scheduled date and I was told again that they are behind and it will be about a hour and half. Im frustrated and annoyed and really wanted to speak disrespectful to this guy but i cant blame him. So i tell you this....this shop is bad for business and does not appreciate your service. DO NOT GO HERE!!
Went to get a simple inspection on my suv to find out that the dealership that i HAD been taking it to basically did not fix my car the way they said it was fixed after taking it there 3 times for the same thing (electrical issues and airbag light constantly on). So Jay a mechanic at Presion found the issue, took pictures and communicated to the Dealership as to what the issue was. The car was under warranty all the times i took it there and they never found anything wrong with the car. After speaking to Jay and Ann i took the car back to the dealership and was told AGAIN it was fixed.... WRONG. Less than 3 weeks to a month later the airbag light came on again. I called presion and was told to call GM and inform them what was going on... I did... I took the car back AGAIN and funny thing is after the warranty expired they found the problem. Not even asking first they fixed my car and wanted $839 but told me they took off $500 and i owed them $339. I was a little confused why they didnt ask me first. So Basically after talking to Ann and taking her very wise advice I got my car fixed ( fingers crossed ) and paid nothing. So in my opinion Presion is very knowledgeable and very well priced. They have no problem helping you or having your back you if your willing to listen. I feel that if Jay hadnt of taken the pictures and Ann hadnt of explaint to me in my terms.. Which is not mechanic lingo then I would of never known what was wrong with my car. Thanks Ann... Thank Jay... I appreciate youll.

Never again. Used a Groupon and they refused to honor the deal. They only took off $50 from the bill (what I paid for the groupon). The bill should have been nothing or a small amount for special oil type. The manager (Anne Marie) then decided to refuse to refund me, instead engaging in a public shouting match in the store in front of other customers. Unprofessional, rude, arrogant, etc. I have had many positive experiences with PTAC Petersburg in the past, its sad that they are willing to lose a long time customer over a Groupon. Even worse, instead of just refusing my money, she offered two free oil changes...as if I would ever bring my car back to that establishment!
The worst mechanic shop of ever been in the customer service was terrible they kept calling me a liar to my face telling me Ive been in that shop before with my husbands car when I have never even taken his car to any kind of mechanic shop.I dont even drive his car its his work vehicle.My husband and I told him that they were mistaken, they continue to call me a liar and they continue to talk to him behind my back about it. Telling him that I was lying to him and that I was secretly driving his car behind his back.I was sit right the and could hear them.And so could our 3yr old.Who lies about going to a mechanic shop.If I was secretly driving my husbands vehicle I sure wouldnt be driving it to mechanic shop.And then they told us the car wasnt worth fixing and that we should sell it.If Ive been secretly taking it to a mechanic shop it should be im pristine condition since Ive been secretly taking it to their shop.

I was there around 1230 on March 15th. As I was waiting for my service to be completed, a large man started telling, cursing and threatening the employees. He slammed the door and left. This sort of thing should not be happening at a place of business. I will most likely not be returning.
