I’m the owner of a local business/restaurant, and yesterday was informed by some friends who were shopping at Ulta Phlugerville that upon cashing out an English/British lady with short silver hair asked if they had dined at my restaurant, (a bit weird as they didn’t mention it to said person) they replied yes and they love it there, the response was the place/food is gross…… now this is totally unacceptable behaviour, and not at all becoming of a professional person! If the question had been asked to said employee, sure give an opinion, but this was not the case. It’s also worth mentioning that we score an average of 4.5 stars on all platforms, so it’s just false, rude, and unnecessary. I don’t go around slating other people’s businesses, and as such feel this employee should be asked to tone down the inappropriate comments she makes.
If you want fun and vibrant colors, you MUST go see Heather. She works magic. She first fixed a botched job I had, then touched it up months later, and now has changed the looks to be so fresh and fun!! Cannot recommend her highly enough!!! 🥰She spent an entire day pulling out individual hairs to strip the color, then bleached the remaining (to avoid damaging the hair) then section dyed it all mermaid unicorn colors. It’s literally magical!Heather is unbelievably patient and kind. She takes to time to figure out what you need and is a true perfectionist! Book an appointment with Heather, ASAP!
Cashier lied to me to get a credit card application. She told me it was a soft inquiry, it was not. My score dropped 3 points the next day. Management did nothing. Now I have to dispute by mail.
I love all things beauty! ULTA is the answer. You name it, and they likely have it. There are helpful employees as well.
The worst Brow bar experience ever. I called to have an appointment for my Brow wax and Monique didn’t want to do my brow as we had issues the last time she did my brows (July30 2020 - She screwed up my brows and when asked to correct she refused to touch as she isn’t comfortable doing it, She walked away from the station and Manager had to come in and apologize for her behavior)I agree that they can refuse a service but there is a way to convey it. You can still be respectful while you convey the message to refuse a service. Hanging up falls in the rude way of dealing with customers. Manager Erica was trying to make up for Monique’s attitude but I am not convinced if she really means it.Forced to select a star to post this review

I scheduled a brow waxing and the lady that scheduled the appointment made an error and never added my appointment to the digital scheduling system. Instead of trying to work me in to correct her error, she told me I had to just book another appointment on a different day. Like I would trust her to do that again!!!! And, there was no attempt to ensure I was happy leaving the store. I was excited to become a regular customer, not anymore. I called WAXING THE CITY (also in Pflugerville TX) and got friendly service and an immediate appointment. I am SOOO disappointed in Ulta. This will affect my view of the store moving forward. 😡😡😡

My experience with this location has always been good. The staff is friendly and attentive but dont pester you. The store is clean and things are usually in their right place. When I have a question, they are very helpful.As far as COVID-19 goes, this is one of the few places Ive been. They wear their masks, keep their distance and are still happy to answer questions. They have directional lines on the ground that guide you and you cannot sample items. I feel like theyve adjusted very well given the circumstances. Check the hours before you go because last I checked, they were shortened.
This review is mainly for my salon experience.I really wish I had taken a picture of my hair before I went in so I could show people the dramatic difference.It was pretty long but it was also dry, brittle, breaking, color damaged, frizzy, and just horrid looking. It hadn’t been cut in a year, I’ve taken box color to it, and bleached the underside and colored pink.It. Was. Bad!Then, I sat in Heather’s chair and everything changed.Yes, I had to cut a few inches off but she ONLY cut what really needed to come off, so I got to preserve the length (which made me very happy) and she gave me a fantastic haircut. I’m very happy with the haircut itself but, not only that, it is extraordinarily soft, shiny, and looks incredibly healthy.I did do the hair service that includes a personalized (based on your hair’s needs) deep conditioner, so she deep conditioned it and gave my hair exactly what it craved. She then told me which products to use daily to keep it feeling healthy but she wasn’t pushy or salesman-y about it; just simply told me the recommendation and why she recommended it.Every time I’ve touched my hair in the last 24 hours, I just can’t believe how amazing it feels. I knew my hair was bad, but I didn’t know exactly how bad until it felt healthy again.I’ll be going back to Heather for a color in a couple of weeks and I’ll recommend her to anyone that asks for a recommendation. Truly couldn’t be happier!!P.S. Every sales associate I interacted with was very polite and attentive. The store was clean, organized, and is clearly following COVID protocols. I used to be a Sephora girl, but I’m an Ulta convert now!

I went during the 21 days of beauty event and they had what I wanted in stock and up front. The lady at the counter also helped me to shade match a new foundation and she was so kind and helpful and patient. She really helped me get a good shade that matched all my specialty needs for a foundation. I just wish is had asked her name! Thank you blond woman with pink eyeliner! Youre a doll.
I have to take a moment to brag about my recent experience with Jeff at this Ulta location. Jeff is an absolute gem 💎 . He assisted me on the hunt for my preferred concealer which happened to be out at this location. He helped match me with a backup option in case we could not find it at another location. He was able to find it at the Gateway location and had the Gateway team place it on hold for me for 24 hours. The level of customer service I experienced this evening with Jeff was fantastic. You are very much appreciated. Definitely ask for Jeff when at this location. ❤️

I went to Ulta last week on a Friday and Giselle did my hair. And I mean she did a FABULOUS job! Im all natural and she had my hair looking gorgeous! I told my twin about it and she got her hair done the next day. So if you want to look and feel good about yourself, go to Ulta and ask for Giselle! She does an amazing job!!!!!!!

I walked up to the door at 6:58pm. They locked it right as I was about to pull the handle. They closed at 7PM and if I would have known I would have tried to get there earlier. So I stood outside and called into the store to see if there was anyway I could come buy the Tula primer. I knew exactly what i wanted, I could have been in and out in 2 minutes (mind you, they closed a tiny bit early). The response on the phone was due to covid 19, I cant let anyone in the store after 7pm. So my question is DOES THE VIRUS COME OUT AT 7 PM SHARP? DO YOU HAVE TO CLOSE 2 MINITES EARLY SO THE SCARY VIRUS WONT GET YOU? Ill take my business elsewhere. You should not be allowed to close earlier than 7pm if your hours are open till 7pm. Lazy employees.
Clean store, helpful staff. They carry a wide selection of beauty products and you get points for purchases. The only thing is the points expire after a certain time. In that respect, I prefer to shop at Sephora because there, the points don’t expire.
I just got my haircut at Ulta and I love it. Gabriela is an amazing stylist. She was very friendly and professional. I hadn’t been to a salon in over 3 years, and my hair was in so-so condition. Gabriela transformed my hair into a beautiful style. I was so happy I was in tears! I will definitely return to Ulta for my next haircut.

I sent my children there to get haircuts with Laurin, we were unsatisfied with the outcome and went back the next day to have time haircuts evaluated by the manager Levy who at best was annoyed at our presence and reluctantly fixed my sons hair after saying we gave unclear direction, pretty sure my teenage son didn’t ask for a bald spot in the back of his head.
Really great & friendly staff!! They are always so helpful and welcoming. We also love the salon (Raven!)! She has done my daughters hair multiple times (cut, color and up-do) and every time its perfect!
Used to love this store. Then one day an employee convinced me to buy a higher end eyelash curler but neglected to mention they do not carry the refills. When I returned to purchase refills a different employee attempted to sell me the same curler again instead of advising where I could buy refills. Since I bought all of my skin care, hair & makeup needs from Ulta you can imagine how much I spent there monthly. Since that day Ive gone to Sephora and havent been in an Ulta since.

No one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. I passed about 5 associates throughout the store. They were not busy helping other customers and a simple hello or can I help you? would have been greatly appreciated. One associate gave me an interesting smirk in passing and the others did not make eye contact. I work too hard for my money to patronize a business with bad customer service. I bought what I wanted at Sephora instead.
This location is always out of almost everything I use either entirely or the shades that I use (Bare Minerals, FAB products, Urban Decay mascara, etc). I feel like whenever I have been I am looking to buy 7-10 items, but only leave with 1-2. Yeah, I can order it online, but I go to a store to buy what I need. Wont go back. Its a waste if my time to go to a store that specializes in beauty products when it cant seem to keep items in stock.
Could spend all day in ULTA. Such a huge variety of everything! Helpful, friendly staff. Prices all over the scale. Beauty heaven.
Some of your girls need to learn how to have patience. One lady stepped up and made my sister in law match in minutes. We were there to long with the 1st person because she had no idea how to match a black person skin tone or she just didnt know which brand works better. She even had a know person of color to try to help her. But all around we purchased what was matched and we are happy.
Got my hair cut and the stylist was amazing. She did an amazing job and I love my haircut.
So I was crazy nervous about changing up my hair, but Giselle did an excellent job!! Im still super shocked (in a happy way) with the results! I did full highlights and just a trim but the color came out awesome! I finally found a hair girl!!
I used to love shopping here but things have seriously gone down hill at this location. I feel awful even writing this because I have some really good friends who I love that work here. The last few times Ive come in I have not been greeted and theres been groups of girls who work there huddled together talking amongst themselves. I am a licensed beauty professional so I dont usually need a lot of help when I come in. But I still feel like this kind of behavior needs to stop. I have started going to Sephora and ordering products online from the manufacturers to avoid coming in to Ulta. I wish things were different.
First time using the salon, and so happy with Lorie! Coming back again in a couple of weeks for another service! So much better than the top dollar service I had at another place that didnt deliver. 💆💇✨
Alyssa is great! We took my niece to Ulta for her third birthday because she loves makeup and Alyssa did her makeup. Alyssa was so sweet to her and worked great with her even though shes a toddler.
I’m sad to give the rating, but I did an experiment with this store. I walked in yesterday with a face full of makeup and I really wanted help getting a color match and recommendation with a new makeup (I have no idea what I’m doing with makeup and I was going to spend a decent amount). After wandering around and picking up multiple packages and reading them for about 20 minutes, still not one employee asked if I needed help and everyone seemed busy so I wasn’t going to be rude and interrupt. After about 30 minutes a gentleman did ask if I was doing okay but really only gave me enough time to say ‘Yah’ before talking to someone else. I left, empty handed and a bit irritated. Went back about 45 minutes later because I really wanted new makeup! This time I was actually paying attention solely to the employees and, again, about 20 minutes just standing in front of the urban decay brand just looking around, not touching a product making it quite obvious I was looking for help I was repeatedly ignored and other people walked in and were being helped. I, again, left thinking, maybe they judged my makeup when they looked at me OR they were extremely busy in their minds on the late Sunday afternoon. I returned today, Monday, in the middle of this day this time not an ounce of makeup on my face. No greeting at the door and no help after AGAIN standing in front of urban decay CLEARLY needing help. I saw only one girl helping someone else so I waited for her to be done, she even said ‘excuse me’ to be to grab an urban decay to help the person she was with and as soon as she was done she walked up to someone else instead of me who she had seen just standing there looking at the same area did makeup for minutes. They need better customer service, a ferreted at the door or something! Moral of the story is that I’ll be going out of my way to go to somewhere else because of the poor service.

I have a really short pixie cut and I called Ulta Stone Hill asking about which cut I could do at their salon. On their website it says that a bang and neck trim is $13 and I asked if that one would work for me and the stylist on the phone said it would. I went in and got the haircut that took about 20 minutes. My stylist told me that shed give me 20% off since she didnt blow dry my hair. When I was checking out I found out that my total was $47. Thats with the 20% off included. This was after my stylist and the other stylists compared me to Brittany Spears and G I Joe for having short hair. Really weird. Every time Ive came here (before I had long hair) theyve cut my hair unevenly or crooked. I thought it would be fine this time since I just have really short hair now but my sides still ended up obviously uneven.Also thats more than my haircuts where when I came here when I had long hair. ????
Soooo much stuff I want everything. This store is very helpful if you need assistance and will leave you alone if you want to just look around and try all the testers.

I don’t understand how you only have 3 people that do men’s hair. And how your open till 9pm and can’t take a simple hair cut. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.
I would give less stars but they redeemed themselves. I enter in and no one really offered help until after about 15 min of me walking around in circles. The lady was very nice and referred to me in assuming the makeup specialist who was busy helping someone else. No problem, I waited and she said she would be with me. Instead she helped someone else before me and then walked right past me like she wasnt interested in helping me. I hope I wasnt being stereotyped, but, come on whether I spend $5 or $500 shouldnt matter, help me anyway, its your job. I went back to the original lady who took the time to help me best she could, and got advice from another co worker when needed. If I could rate her alone, 5 stars, but, unfortunately that wouldnt be an accurate representation of the store. Overall satisfied, just shouldnt have been treated poorly to Begin with.

Heather is amazing! I came in after receiving the worst haircut of my life (at a different salon) and she turned it into the best haircut :) She took the time to listen to what I wanted and she did an incredible job fixing someone elses mistakes. I will definitely be back!

I was looking for a specific kind of foundation, for acne prone skin (not that complicated). When I finally found someone, she was rushing me to what I wanted then just gave me two brands and walked off. She didnt even make eye contact with me during the short exchange between us and there were hardly any people in the store so she wasnt swamped with people bothering her. It was rude. Ill just stick to the Round Rock location. They are way nicer.
I was anxious about getting my hair done and Lorie took good care of me. I usually get highlights but this time I went all the way blonde. It was everything I was hoping for. Sydney did a great job on my eyebrows as well. It was a great experience altogether.

Went here with my SO and while shopping, no employees walked up to us and asked us how we was doing in the 45 minutes that we had spent their shopping. We had issues looking for the colours that we was trying to aquire. Many of the displays where not set properly (hidden testers and such) and many displays didnt have functioning lights
Really didnt appreciate an atmosphere where the employees find it okay to allow other patrons to harass others based on their appearances and then laugh about it. Not only that, but to allow them to block the check out line and say nothing, leaving other customers to have to say something is unprofessional. Allowing that kind of behavior from employees in the store is unacceptable, and allowing patrons to behave that way is just as bad.Fix your employees work ethic or get new employees.

I don’t know about the hair salon, but every time I go to this store to pick up make up essentials I wish I had just driven the distance to Sephora. The people who work here that I have encountered have been so rude. The littlest question is met with incredulous looks and bratty attitudes. The management definitely needs to look into doing a simple customer service training. This time (for real) I am just going to Sephora.

A prerequisite of employment at Ulta must be “lack customer service”. This is not the first time this has happened at this location. Today when I asked an associate about a product location, you would of thought I had asked her to run a marathon and greeted with a face of thunder. Sephora here I come.

I live near this Ulta so I always try to come to this one first. They are always out of stock or just havent put it out yet. Their employees are always loud and never helpful. I needed a certain shade of foundation and instead of going to the back to grab it for me,she tried to sell me a different shade. I asked several times and she finally went and got it for me. 9 times out of 10 Im never satisfied with this Ulta. Ill be driving the extra 20 minutes to an Ulta that always has their shelves stocked and the employees happy to help (round rock location).
I buy all my shampoo and conditioner here. Lots of fun things to spend money on.

Pretty sad you get quoted one price then go back to make an appt and the salon manager tries to book you with him and the price goes up $40 because of the level of stylist he is but didnt try to book an appt with anyone else to assure the price quoted.
