The onsite manager was very kind, knowledgeable and friendly. She keeps the office and property very clean presentable. this is the 3rd time I have needed a storage unit and Metro always seems to be the cheapest and centrally located for me and meeting all my needs.

Although there are closer storage areas to our home, the service we receive from Christina is well worth the drive. She’s always going above and beyond to help her customers while dealing with an increasingly “difficult” clientele. Very professional & sweet! Took her time to show me the unit and also asked if I was ok with it because there was a minor flaw in the floor (nothing she could really do) but it was nice she was concerned it would bother me, also I randomly brought up my mom has a unit and she applied a discount we did not know she would get as a referral. Stay away from this location, I had an absolute nightmare of an experience dealing with the property manager Christina and area manager Araon who has been informed of various issues including a racial slur used after Christina mistakingly thought she ended her speaker phone call with me. Then upon me agreeing to terminate the lease and vacate she confronted me about making a report against her, coming from behind the counter without a mask on or anything screaming belligerently. When I asked Araon too review his lobby tape to witness the behavior I was told it was irrelevant and that he doesnt think she did anything wrong without even viewing the video by his own admission. Absolute willful incompetence based on my experience.. Make sure you dot your Is and cross your Ts when dealing with this location and this area manager! Totally against any form of transparency and have even admitted to being able to view when I read emails from them to my personal email which was a very bizarre claim considering I dont do read receipts and cant receive emails with imbedded link codes. Ive reached out to corporate and am awaiting a response.

Property is always clean. Staff are friendly and very pleasant to work with.I gave a 4 because I feel that security could be improved by installing locks on the buildings doors so only those with the code can get in. Several years ago I encountered a homeless man sleeping under the stairwell inside the building. He had walked in behind a vehicle.Also, the lights go off usually when Im near the back of my unit . . the motion sensor is quite a ways away from my unit and doesnt catch my movements in the hallway.

The property Manager on-site was very kind and provided the best customer service. She was patient and willing to answer all of my questions. She is a ball of energy and is passionate about her work.

Our experience with Metro Storage on Gandy Blvd has been totally positive from our very first interaction with Mark, their Manager. They have been able to accommodate each of our storage needs and requests for various climate-controlled unit sizes on a timely basis. Although the prices seem to be quite expensive, just to store ones stuff, they are actually quite competitive. On a positive note, the property is secure, clean, well-lit, and well-maintained. One of the best features is the 24/7 access - a huge factor if you are looking for convenience. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality self-storage location.

Like most businesses, only out for your money. For over a year Ive been a picture perfect customer - never complained, always paid on time without any problems, never caused a problem for anyone else. The day I go to remove my stuff with movers and a u-haul truck, on a SUNDAY when the place is supposed to be closed, one of the employees comes into the back of the building where Im loading my furniture, and because a piece of exercise equipment is in his way, he proceeds to get out of his truck and touch my stuff?!! I heard a crack and I told him I preferred that he not touch my stuff (this is what I pay INSURED movers for) and he got an attitude with me saying something about a no parking zone we werent even parked in! 3 movers and I were all standing right there, all he had to do was ask us to move the machine out of his way and we would have been happy to oblige! When I called to officially terminate my rental unit, I was told they only do refunds if you move out within the first 7 days of your month. Such a rip off!!! So they get to keep the $53 worth of rented space I wont be using! I do NOT recommend this storage center. Do Not Use Metro Self Storage in Pinellas Park.

Our initial contact with Mark the manager of the Pinellas Park location was in the spring of 2015 while we were on vacation. I stopped in to inquire about the facility on a Saturday afternoon just as the manager was about to leave. He took his time to explain the storage renting process and was able to give me a quote. When we were ready to move in September I re-contacted Mark and he helped us schedule a move in date and provide us with the storage unit we needed. On our arrival in October Mark was a true professional as he walked us through the paper work and the tour of the facility. It has been a great experience working with him and Metro Self Storage!

Quick and easy process, nice and helpful office manager.

Everything about the place including the staff is great. The only thing I didnt like is they can change the fees at any time after you sign the contract. I think it should stay at the same rate as I started with until I move out. I live in the UAE and cannot return at a moments notice to take out my goods.

I only had my unit for about six months. When I went to move my stuff out there was a bad infestation of ants that made 3foot nests under my stuff. This was a indoor climate controlled unit.

Bad experience. Its been a hard month for finances and the managers are not understandable. After mising payments they are auctioning off our items! We have asked to simply come and remove our things from their care but they are wanting a immediate payment which we cannot make. We have VERY important PERSONAL items being held there which no one should buy... We have letters back and forth from relatives in prison, ALL our baby pictures, ALL our scrapbooks of family pictures and many other more personal items. I dont understand why we couldnt just simply take those items and leave the furniture along with tvs and others to be sold. No one should be aloud to have personal items which hold our address and so on. They are not understanding, give you no time, dont help out, rude services, high in demand for pay, wont take any amount of cash and payments afterwards until you can deliver your missed payments, and they dont give you enough time to even come up with the money payment. I do not recommend. NO ONE should go here. We have reached out several times trying our hardest to work something out but they are refusing to listen and our giving us no time. I hate this storage unit and i expect many others will to after use.
