This is an affordable place to shop. Best products to buy, i think, are vitamins, chocolate candies, oats, fish and olive oil. Also, it is very important to check the expiration date on every product you buy. The store is clean and well managed. Toilets are not open for the public. The parking lot is large.
I actually prefer the Grocery Outlet near Richmond/El Cerrito over this one, because I find they carry a better selection of items. This location is closer to my home, but Ive noticed I only purchase Farmer Johns Turkey Keilbas from this location; whereas the other location, Ill grocery shop. In addition,, I prefer to drive a bit further to purchase a better selection of organics. This store carries organics, but the section is so small youll miss it.In addition, I find the other location spends more time making their store look inviting. They often get rare items that are expensive at the regular stores. The layout from the entrance and throughout is nice. They often have a greeter at the door. Overall, It just looks like a quality Grocery Outlet; whereas, this store needs some TLC and more quality items. On this day,, I spoke to a woman who was visiting this store for the first-time, and she noticed a lot of items on the shelves were soon to expire. Initially, when entering I noticed an employee removing several items from a shelf, which I could only assume for reasons that they were expired, but it was a lot going into the big empty box next to them. Not good business to keep items on shelves so close to expiration. Hopefully this is not commonly being done.To be fair, Im not sure if the purchaser, be it the owners or someone else evaluates items sold from those that are not sold and from their analysis determines what this community prefers to purchase and this may be true also for the Richmond/ El Cerrito location. I would assume its profit over losses..Business 101.So Ill say,, I know the community appreciates this store, but this store does not really have what I look for....and thats okay! You too make your determination...happy shopping!
This franchise of the Grocery Outlet chain is located in Pinole next to Michaels at the northern end of the Richmond Parkway, which turns into Fitzgerald Dr. immediately east of Hwy 80.It is very clean (as compared to the store on 23rd street in San Pablo) and very well stocked. This grocery chain, for me, is a lotta fun because you never know what youre gonna find, and generally, at very low prices as compared to the big brand name grocery stores.I experience paying over $100 at those big name grocery stores and feeling lucky to get 2 bags of groceries. At Grocery Outlet, Ive repeatedly left with 4-6 bags and just cant believe the experience.Give em a try if you havent already.
Small, tidy and packed with items. Prices are good too.
I loved this store. They have a lot more products at this grocery outlet. I loved the products that were on sale. They were very inexpensive. I travel to a lot of grocery outlets all over the place just to see what they have.I must have spent two hours in there. I will definitely go back. This is by far the best grocery outlet I have ever been to and love the prices.
I always shop at Grocery Outlet first and a lot of times they have everything I need, but when they dont its still worthwhile to come here because some of the deals you can get are amazing. They mostly specialize in overstocked or undersold products from all over and this store offers an eclectic shopping experience that is kind of fun to explore. The prices are always really discounted and sometimes the deals can be as much as 75% off. This specific location in Pinole is my favorite in the area because it has excellent parking, wide aisles and is usually not busy. The service is well done and the employees are very accommodating.
They have all I need .
Grocery Outlet has always been a cool place to shop because their prices are lower. They carry a few brand name items, but mostly unknown. Meats are fresh and reasonably priced. Apparently they have reorganized and added additional items like superfood beet powder, even some spirits (which the did not have before). I will have to go back more often.
This is always my 1st stop. I love the crew who work here. They are always friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately this is the only smart and final I have near by, please do make sure the prices on shelf to price you pay. They are very sneaky about making money. I caught them doing over pricing. I told cashier she had no impact saying call my boss if you have any issue. Take care of your money. March 5th 2021. 5 30 pm
Love this store. Prices are so low. I gave it a 4 star rating because sometimes they dont have what they had a week ago.
Matt A. is Great. He brightens the store with his smiling eyes and great customer service
Great prices, helpful staff a nice clean store.
Simply the best for those with a keen eye and the time to rotate through several a times a week to find the gems and some of the staples.
While they do offer have a good staff they dont offer a very good selection of products.what products they do have are over priced.
By far the best GroOut Ive been too in the East Bay. Very spacious and large selection.
Friendly staff, clean and well stocked. Different items, so you may not find exactly the same thing or brand as last visit...so go often for the great prices!
Nice big store, lots of stock. You have to really look for the price and check it. I was charged almost triple in a few items.
Love shopping here! You never know what your going to find!
The times I’ve gone there, the cashier Linda that has helped me is always VERY RUDE. Last time I went with my mom she was very disrespectful towards her just because she was using change to pay for paper bags. The next time I went, I greeted her with a nice hello and she ignored me and was scanning the items in a very aggresive manner like she hates being there. If you don’t like your job then quit but it doesn’t give you the right to be rude to customers for no reason especially when they are nice to you. Overall I love grocery outlet, great deals and I’ve had a positive experience with the rest of the cashiers.
They have very good prices and believe it or not a very good wine selection. This was a pleasant surprise, the downside is that the store seems gloomy and somewhat disorganized. Workers were hit and miss, some had great attitudes but some where stand-offish.
I love this store is very clean and organize, the staff is polite, nice, clean and give me help when I needed.Thank you for everything 🙂
Love it. My favorite store.
Best prices on champagne and wine. Other great values too. My go-to store!
This location is usually really organized and produce fresh.
Good quality at a bargain price. Today I bought a fabulous chardonnay from Chile for only $4!
Great deals here and very fast moving items on the shelves. Very efficient staff. Very helpful getting things. Thanks!
They had bread that had mold covering it. They had lots of items that had expired. So I only bought storage bags and cleaning products. Its unfortunate.....Just because your a discount store doesnt mean you sell people on a budget Anything. So unfortunately my family & myself wont be going back to that Grocery Outlet.
Our favorite grocery store and more. Best prices on name brand foods. Items come and go on shelves, so if you see a great buy... Go for it.
Decent place nice prices
I just love going in to see what little nic nacks they have u never no what I will find
The Richmond location have better selection
They always have something we need and then some!
Lots of name brand products
Making that dollar go a long way. The savings will astound you and make you wonder why you had not started shopping sooner.👍🛒
Grocery outlet is an interesting store. Its an ADHD nightmare because there is some of everything everywhere to distract you from your goal 😂 Needlwss to say I bought too much of just any old thing I considered a decent deal.
This is definitely one of the better Grocery Outlets in and around the NE Bay.I used to like the Pleasant Hill Store the best, but this one had some of the great deals that you used to be able to find at Canned Food Warehouse.I can only assume that Grocery Outlet bought up their stores and raised prices in general. This store was well stocked, clean, organized, had awesome staff who were knowledgeable and personal in conversation. Most of all, a few great deals were found:Olive Oil and avacado oil for $1.99.A huge pace picante salsa for .99¢.Humas in a very large tub for $1.99.10 ounces of almonds for $1.99.The cheese section didnt offer the bargain discounts that I have been searching for, the last time I saw them was 2017 in Grass Valley.Vallejo is ok for stock, but the staff is awesome, they will also chase down shoplifters and bad guys who lurk in the vicinity.Vallejo store is actually a safe place to shop as the police there are either non-existent or hiding.Auburns store should be avoided for all but emergency reasons. Its really bad stock wise and staffwise. Most hills people are armed so the crime is low anyway.
Well stocked. Polite staff.
Very good Service
They were very dispectful, they incorrectly labeled items on the shelf, but they didnt honor the item. It was there mistake, and the manager acted like I had changed the price. They were very rude about the item.vI will not shop there any more.
Clean and well stocked
I love the store because of its low prices. Great variety of produce including organic. All kinds of gourmet cheeses, all for reasonable prices. Some items Im very close to the expiration date oh, so you have to check for that. Mostly yogurt Falls in that category. Sometimes youre lucky enough to find an excellent bottle of wine, but I tend to go through a lot of them until I find that special one.
Good place to buy, and courteous staff they have.
Great selections
If you like something you find there, go back the next day and clear the shelf because theyre guaranteed to never stock it again!
This is one of the cleanest G.O. I have been to. I have been to the 2 in Richmond and they arent on the same level as the Pinole store. I will drive out of my way to come to this store.
I actually really love Grocery Outlet. I have been to other ones in the Bay Area and this one by far is the best. Great staff and you never know what you might find in there. The ONLY down side to this location is it shares a parking lot with Chunk E. Cheese so on the weekend it’s pretty busy. I wouldn’t advise going on a Saturday but a Sunday morning is perfect!
Corrects prices,good location
I love the challenge of a Grocery Outlet! It’s like the Marshalls of food. I primarily buy health food but there are gems in the housewares section. I have found gourmet local cheeses, amazing coffee beans, large tubs of coconut oil, California olive oil, organic almond butter, organic produce and so much more. The Pinole store is very well stocked and I highly recommend it.
They dont liThey dont clean their carts. Always have to ask how much things are due to no price tags.
Good prices, friendly staff. Lines move quickly!
Grocery outlet always has amazing deals and most times you can find what you need. They have the best deals on bread & Pink Tahitian Sea Salt. Love, love love their shrimp
Entering a Grocery Outlet, it definitely a Bargain Market. I can find deals from ice cream to batteries to snack bars to garden tools to vitamins. The store is always organized and clean. When the power blackouts were rolling from the fires, I could still buy bottled water where all other stores were out.
No shopping carts available only 3 for the entire store
Good value
Great shopping experience. I got much more than I intended. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and clean store. Will definitely return to this location.
So many great finds
Affordable food and friendly staff, I took a star for the extremely long lines.
Employees are helpful and know where EVERY thang is....
I love shopping here, I always find great deals!
Love this store. I always find great deals when I go. 4 starts coz items can be expired. Always check dates on items. Well, I do that in every store I go in.
Appreciate all the hard work! Thank you.
Good place to buy groceries at good prices.
Love all the items you cant get anywhere else. Price is budget friendly too. Good selection of cheeses and wine.
Good selection/price... Friendly staff
Ok except they must like to create lines, only one register open.
Its my go to. Nice people stayed open the WHOLE pandemic. Always check here first
Great, better then other G.O. around...
Fast, cheap, easy. Customer service is pretty good. I wouldnt get meat from there but everything else for sure.
Well stocked. Friendly staff.
Excellent
Good store to visit.
Hundreds of deals and a great selection of groceries and other merchandise make this Grocery Outlet a favorite place to shop. Highly recommend this place!
Clean friendly and great stuff and price shop there when Im in town .
I always shop Grocery Outlet first. They have the best prices and an amazing selection of interesting things to try. Their sundries are always on point with a good selection of shampoos, soaps and other toiletries.
Great selections and the freshest fruits and vegetables . Friendly staff too.
We usually find what we want or more $160.to $200. The only problem we would have is when buying Half/half. great buy but they go bad before the dates on the cartons.
Small but good local Grocery Outlet. Has the usual necessities and the staff are always courteous and efficient.
Yesterday went to buy avocados good price $2.99 the bag. Inside the bag I found roaches. Be careful when you buy this bags. No body around to let them know.
Nice place you can get anything in grocery here.... Employs are really nice..
I clean, organized,and a great service
Love shopping here. Prices are amazing. A great help for me on a very limited budget.
Nice and friendly staff. Most importantly its a clean store to shop in.
Prices good, good way to try things at a cheaper price than other stores. Seems they dont always carry on going products. Still fun to shop there just to see what new items I can try.
Always a great selection and friendly customer service. Prices are, per usual, half that of a regular supermarket. My favorite GOBM location from here to Fairfield.
Always the best first choice grocery store, visit the nearest one to you...
Its a nice smaller outlet. Im more a fan of the Richmond Richmond norte location. Worth a trip for a good bargin
Go in the morning right when they open. Very few customers. One of the cleanest GOBM Ive been to.
Are you interested in finding good values on food? If you are you should go here.
This store sells you the lowest discounted foods they can offer. The register lines run fast and the produce food quality is decent.
Affordable
Excellent prices on a variety of goods. Clean Store Friendly people
What are you going to find? Maybe something good maybe something bad but youll never know until you go. However for $0.97 if you dont like it you can afford to feed it to the ducks.
Looking for you can fine good prices.
Pretty nice deals. I will be back.
I love grocery outlet. I find items that i dont find at other grocery stores & great deals! Thank you!
If youve never been to a grocery outlet, think: better brands than a dollar store and cheaper than Walmart.Grocery outlet seems to be the place groceries end up if they arent picture perfect enough for retail stores. If you dont mind a dingd up box, you can save a lot of money here.Like a dollar store, Grocery outlet seems to have a mix of good 1st party brands (Hienz Ketchup / Frenchs Mustard) and weird-tasting off-brands (Fancy Ketchup / Signature Yellow Mustard). In my opinion; This is a good place to find cheap groceries if you know what youre looking for.
Always great products with excellent prices!
Such reasonable prices! Good brands!
Great selection, service, and prices.
