Such a cute coffee shop in central Pismo Beach and the coffee is fantastic! They actually ask you if you want a medium roast or a dark roast and they ask what ounce-size you want it in. No fancy blends or weird cup names! Woohoo! The cups are plain, too! But the coffee is the star and its not burned and not bland and is just right (I got the medium blend). I really love the surf movies on the TV screens and old surfing pictures. I dont know the story behind Scorpion Bay but now I am interested!

I had a 12oz, medium roast, drip coffee, black. It was a pretty good cup of coffee. Easily much better than a Starbucks irrespective of the roast. However, it was far from a great cup of coffee. Overall though, the shop is nice and the staff are friendly and do a good, quick job.They are also hyper vigilant about asking customers to mask.

Great independent coffee shop a few blocks off the pier in Pismo Beach! Staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is amazing. Highly recommend the cold brew- not too strong super smooth and drinkable, love it. Pastry selection is wide, tons of muffins and croissants to choose from. Friendly cozy low light ambiance with neon lighting gives this coffee shop a distinct feel, don’t miss it if you are in the Pismo area! Opens early!

Scorpion Bay company as a wonderful environment and great coffee. I had a great visit with some friends and was even able to attend a business meeting remotely over zoom with their fast wi-fi.They have great background music but its not too loud making visiting easy friendly staff.I highly recommend casual meetings here or even just a place to hang out and still work remotely

I ordered a lovely iced Mexican mocha latte and spent the afternoon relaxing at the table outside, shaded by a palm tree. Not a huge fan of the cigar smell close by, but the ocean breeze and pleasant weather more than makes up for it. Definitely will come back!

First time here and wont be the last. Coffee was amazing as were the Asiago bagels 🥯Ordered a macchiato which tasted simply delicious! Cant wait to go back soon.

Its good coffee. I had a latte and my wife, a mocha, on the way South from Northern CA and liked it enough to stop there to fuel up on the way back. In retrospect I should have tried the pastries.

Taste not consistent. Used to be great. No longer recommend. If you go, make sure its not busy and the cashier writes the request correctly on ALL cups.I went in yesterday and ordered two spicy Mexican lattes. There was no spice and they were so sweet I think I was provided with two hot chocolates. I ordered an Americana with light water for my husband and he said it was amazing.I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I went back today. I ordered four americanas with light water and steamed milk.- one had extra water and didnt taste like coffee- one was half full with no water.- one had no room and no cream.Go somewhere else or make sure they arent busy.

Rating the roast of their whole bean, not their service. Bought a bag of medium roast Columbia to bring home from vacation, was excited to get a true pound for a reasonable price. Was super disappointed to open the bag and see beans roasted so dark they’re sticking together from the oils.

I got the London Fog and it tasted amazing! Great location and staff was very kind. Small dogs are allowed if they stay on the side by the window. Stop by for a good coffee or tea before your day at the beach! :)

Friendly staff, good selection of coffee beverages. I didnt mind my specialty latte but its definitely not something I would get daily. I got the killer scorpion latte and it was spicy and sweet, the coffee had a slight burnt caramel-y flavor. Definitely different.

Loved the service. Coffee is very good. They are open at 6am. Mask a must. Only 6 at a time. We waited a couple minutes, well worth it. The coffee in hotel rooms is just murkey water.

This is by far the BEST coffee shop in SLO county. Drinks are creative and oh so tasty. I got the Lavender Tea Latte, but blended with ice. Not on the menu but I asked for it and they were all about it. Love that kind of service. My baristas were friendly, entertaining and cute—just the way I like ‘em. Thanks for being yourself you two. Will definitely be back for more amazing coffee and tea.

The vibe inside is great, decent seating, and in a great location. The staff was friendly and service was quick. The reason for the lower rating was my drink tasted pretty burnt. So the people, location, and vibe were great but the product wasnt so much. If Im in the area I would try it again just try your drink before leaving in case it needs replacement!

The baristas looked like they were both overworked the day my friend and I visited. Needed more help with the crazy long line, ended up disliking our drinks and went to Kraken down the road.

I am a visitor from Fresno and let me tell you there’s no coffee shops as good as this one. The first day I got a vanilla iced latte and it was so good, it’s a place where you can tell they want you to taste the great flavor of the actual coffee. Today I went got a blended chai and added three pumps of vanilla to balance out the chai spice and wow! Normally blended coffees taste watery but not this one,bite so delicious and even for being blended it’s full chai flavor!

This is my new favorite place, and I wish I had started coming here earlier. Come here regularly for the Scorpion Latte, which has a bit of cayenne pepper in it. Its a pleasant punch to the face; my tired brain approves.

I loved my Mexican chocolate Latte. I always go to Starbucks or another place closer to the pier. A local recommended this place and I was so happy I listened. My coffee was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

We went to Scorpion Bay Coffee after getting donuts at across the street and SUPER GLAD WE DID. The Original Scorpion Latte (honey latte with cayenne pepper) was the perfect beverage - slightly sweet, nice spicy kick, and perfect caffeine.Wow. I wish I ordered a large instead of a regular size. I wanted to go back after catching the sunrise on the pier but decided not too. Instant regret! I will be craving this latte for a long time coming.

I was super excited to try this place out its located in downtown Pismo Beach. My boyfriend and I stopped by Sunday morning I had a decaf natural pumpkin latte and it was so good! The baristas were so nice and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Definitely seems like a good place to hang out or study. I liked it so much I decided to stop by today before work and I’m sad to report that this time around my decaf latte was terrible. It tasted very burnt and bitter. I also had a poppy seed muffin that made my stomach hurt. This coffee shop is a hit or miss.

If you really need to WAKE UP, this is the place. Ive been here 4 times now and when in Pismo, this is just about the only coffee place Id think to hit up in Pismo. Coffee is excellent and if youre a feinefiend like I can be sometimes, they have a drink that mixes cold brew with espresso -- 36 hours later you might get a little tired. Enjoy!

Bitter espresso. Espresso shouldnt be bitter. It should be strong but smooth. Check out Red Bee in Grover for comparison.

I visit Pismo at least once a year and I’ve watched stores come and go but I hope this place stays a long time because it’s become one of my favorite places at pismo!!the workers were EXTREMELY nice and fun to talk to and I had some really great conversations. Plus with the pandemic and the huge hole in my social life this year, having those conversations were genuinely a fun highlight of coming there!I frequent starbucks often for Caramel Frappuccino’s (despite their bad coffee) because it’s decent, but this place has SUCH good ice blended drinks. I think when I get home I’m gonna wake up and crave this place so I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.anyways come here!!

Wow! While in line waiting to order I thought I was watching a Carol Burnett rerun - the one where Tim Conway moves at a snails pace. The place was busy and the dark haired girl at the register couldn’t have moved any slower! She stopped in the middle of taking orders to do the dishes - seriously, the place was slammed and she takes 5 minutes to clean the barista’s utensils. I ordered 2 drinks and it took 20 minutes to get the first drink and then another 10 minutes or more to get the second! (?????) The drinks were good but only lukewarm and since my drink was served so much later my wife had already consumed hers and was ready to move on. Next time I’ll just drive to the nearest Starbucks 5 miles away, pick up drinks and return. It’ll be faster!

A very modern coffee shop, but one place that you can tell takes pride in what they do as a company for the type of craft their in.They have a decent sized menu and Im sure to find something that you will enjoy even if you do anything unique such as keto.I ordered a simple Vanilla Latte, which was rich and smooth and didnt;t leave yearning for anything or feel like anything was missing.My gf had a drip coffee with sugar free vanilla and chocolate and she enjoyed just as much as I did.The place wasnt as busy as it was to be expected, but definitely worth coming back to again when I am in town.

I stopped by in Summer of 2018. Coffee was terrible - way over-roasted and even then, probably from an inferior bean. Service was slow and unfriendly. Our experience of Pismo is smiling faces and warm hospitality - this place did not fit.

Im not from around here, and wanted some good coffee. Boy... Did I find the place! I just came form the shop, Im a fan for sure. I will come back, just so I can come here...3 hours from where I live! The place is nicely decorated like a fancy steakhouse. Pleated leather and sturdy wood.. Elegant and masculine. The barista was professional, pretty, and edgy like a good bartender would be. The coffee.... FIRE!!! Cold brew, and blended caramel. Perked me up 1/4 way thru my drink. Oh, and ordered an iced cinnamon roll, soft and perfectly squishy. Not too sweet, it was amazing. Everything is on point. If I could open a coffee bar, this would be my inspiration. Will be back before I go home.

LOVE this place!!! Visiting from Florida, stopped in for coffee & something sweet. We had a delicious cream cheese frosted cinnamon roll & a couple of cappuccinos that were perfect. My son had a strawberry-mango smoothie that he said was super yummy! Very clean, cozy & inviting. Highly recommend!

Im a tourist down from Los Angeles, stopped by the great Pismo Beach to hit up the waves with my lady. I stopped by this coffee shop to help me n my gf to a latte and a mocha. It was absolutely delicious. Great service, super friendly people and nice cashier girl. Ill definitely come here again next time im Around! One thing i would say though was when getting our drinks, an older woman would lean against the counter next to the cashier girl and stare at me and my girlfriend, it made us feel a bit uneasy but overall we loved the service!

It’s a sat morning.... busy for a coffee shop! I have never given a tip for coffee but today I did. I haven’t even received my coffee yet but the young man behind the counter is amazing. Wonderful coffee and atmosphere! The only problem...habitually short-staffed throughout the day. One person cannot effectively run the cash register and make drinks for a long line of people. I’ve had to walk out several times due to the 15-30 minute wait to get a drink. Surely your store is profitable enough at this point to have two people working at once.

Best coffee place is Pismo!

I really want to like this place, but I just cant. Its literally taken 15-20 minutes to get a latte every time Ive stopped in, and yes, Ive given it multiple not morning rush hour tries. The latte itself is ok once you get it. Unfortunately, theyre also right next door to a cigar shop and seem to share a ventilation system as the coffee shop doesnt smell like coffee, just cigars. On the plus side, if you enjoy the smell of cigars, this might be for you.
