The best coffee ever! I am from the Midwest and I wish I could get this coffee out by me every single day! The coffee they serve is locally grown. Only negative I have is you could be waiting a while to order or get food but still totally worth going to.

This review is to contradict the misguided person who gave this place a bad review. This is what you are going to find at the Steaming Bean Coffee: wonderful customer service, great coffee, yummy bagels and welcoming atmosphere. I am a little bit difficult when it comes to ordering coffee, and she was more than accommodating. Would love to return in the future.

Their iced Mexican Mocha is one of the best I have had. The place is super cute and spacious. My favorite thing is the outdoor seating area. I will definitely come back.

Myself and my sister were visiting a family member in California. She dropped us off, as she knows we enjoy walking the beach areas. Before starting our little beach trek, we stopped at the Steaming Bean. We both ordered mochas, and I ordered a breakfast pastry. We were both thoroughly satisfied. I would recommend this joint to others visiting the Shell Beach area.

Great smoothies and wraps at the Bean! Food takes a bit longer than drinks because it is a small café but it is well worth the wait!

Went here a month or so ago. The girls who work here come off as stuck up and were not friendly. My boyfriend and I wanted a coffee and breakfast sandwich. They hadnt even turned on their grill to cook. They said it would be 20-30 minutes for it to get hot. We opted for just coffee. While we were waiting for our coffee others were getting served food off the grill that they had said would take 20-30 minutes to get hot. Too expensive, too trendy. McDonalds is better than this place.

Very cute place and dog friendly. I wish I had preferred something else though. I got the Spanish scramble and it was just scrambled eggs with salsa, avocado, and raw tomatoes on the side. The success were cold of course but I didnt like mixing all that cold into my warm eggs, it cooled my eggs off immediately. I guess I was expecting it to be mixed together and a little more substantial. It was a deconstructed scramble. I did have a bite of the breakfast burrito which was delicious! Decent self serve coffee selection.

I stop by the Steaming Bean 90% of the time Im passing by Pismo, even if I dont feel like a coffee. Their Kona Mocha uses dark chocolate which make such a difference. Delicious. They also have great food ( I get the breakfast burrito) and are a quick walk to the coastline.

Charming, warm and sweet..this place is perfect. We have enough homogenized coffee shops already..everyone....go here..order a Coco Cow and a bowl of oatmeal that comes topped with fresh fruit and a drizzle of honey...sit down at one of the well worn tables and look out the windows to the beautiful hillside....watch the dogs go by on walks...and breathe..this place should be cherished..my husband and I love this place..we come up from LA as often as we can...and we wake up at a local hotel and look forward to every morning we can spend here!

Good coffee and food. Very nice staff and knowledge about their products. Recommended for kids if into the coffee house vibe as our older daughter is. For younger kids there is the hot chocolate and steamer that are the perfect size. That and the waffles.

They did not have the cold brewed coffee that I wanted. So I had to go with another choice. It was good but I was disappointed.

We stopped here while exploring the Pacific Coast Highway for breakfast and coffee. It’s right off the highway and easily accessible. The Gaddis bowl and Beachside burrito were excellent! A bunch of different coffees to choose from to give you that extra boost during your travels.

Descent local coffee house that serves rather basic fare.Nothing special in terms of food, since they really do not have a proper full kitchen. They mostly have items such as muffins & bagels.If you want a full breakfast with lots of attention, some of the hotels down the road are better choices. Service is what you would expect from a coffee shop. There is no view & it is not especially comfy inside. It feels cramped when crowded. While it can be a challenge to get a decent breakfast or a cup of coffee in Shell Beach, this is a solid choicefor coffee. The nearest Starbucks is a few exits away on the 101, so if you just want a cup of Joe, this is it.

Great staff! Unfortunately, out of Kona Mocha Coffee again (4th time). Owner, Amanda, let me know they have trouble obtaining powder from restaursnt supplier. Too bad. Steaming Bean was my go to coffee place.

Interesting shop. Unfortunately coffee was very hot and was overfoamed. Bubbles instead of a nice layer of cream. Could have used some sugar as coffee was a bit bitter.

Ordered two breakfast burritos. Bacon and sausage. Got two microwaved concoctions that smelled liked tomato soup. It was literally all sour cream and tomatoes. Instead of both meats we got one with 1 strip of bacon and the other with maybe sausage. Couldnt tell with all the sour cream and tomatoes. This is supposedly a local favorite. Went over to San Luis Obisbo and got a real burrito from a great family owned place for half the price.
