An amazing stop in Pittsburgh if you love bicycles, or even if you dont. Room after room in stuffed to the gills with beautiful and unique bicycles from different eras, as well as ones used in feature films. The place rambles from room to room, and you literally never know what youre going to find around the next corner. One of the staffers took some time to ask if we enjoyed our visit and even answered a few questions I had about some of the bicycles. This is the unique type of attraction that is unfortunately disappearing from the American landscape, so when you visit, be sure to make a donation.
Heaven is the true key word here. Hundreds of bicycles - including the one ridden by the Monkees and one used by the Beatles. There are two floors of all sorts of bikes, a Black Light Room, kitschy toys and more. It’s a free museum that also sells bikes and other stuff. It’s in a warehouse that has lots of room to pack all the bikes! Really fun and funky and quirky. A must see if you’re in Pittsburgh. Nothing like it anywhere else (that I know of)!
Craig the owner of Bicycle Heaven hung out at talked to us for 15 minutes, he’s such a cool guy!! Definitely recommend visiting while in Pittsburgh! It’s unique, weird, and a massive collection! 🚲 ⚙️ Unlike anything you’ve seen before!DON’T MISS WHILE IN PITTSBURGH 😉**it’s free to walk through the museum but you should drop a donation for them 🙌**
I walked in and was blown away right from the door, very impressive collection, very cool people working there. I will be back to spend more time looking at all the cool stuff, you could spend hours and probably not see everything, something cool in every little corner. Admission is free but throw some $$ in the donation boxes, it will help them a ton, and get your repairs or parts from them instead of these large chain bike stores, bicycle heaven eats sleeps and breaths bikes....they know what there doing...👍
AMAZING!!!Visited July 2021 and was TOTALLY blown away. They collect donations upon entering. Amazing collection of bikes from many different eras. Drinks are for sale near the front entrance for a reasonable price.1st & 2nd floors are equally impressive. If your a bicycle enthusiast and love bikes I would plan on a minimum 4-hour visit. I could have stayed 8-hours. Between photos & video plus just looking around 3.5-hours we’re gone in a heartbeat.I really loved how everything was curated, well detailed, clean, organized, etc. My favorite bikes are BMX & freestyle from the late 70s, 80s & early 90s. I also love the vintage toys, bike posters, memorabilia, pin ball machine, etc. So much Americana to see. Trust me this museum has PLENTY to see.Craig Morrow’s dedication to collecting is unsurpassed. I met Craig during my visit and he was kind enough to chat for 30 mins. Craig seems like a pillar in the community who embraces the local stories related to bikes. This includes posting stories on FB for the amazing donations they often receive locally. Overall, just a super nice guy!I HIGHLY recommend this museum & suggest leaving a review/rating to help others. ✌🏽
This is amazing. You wont find the latest cycling here but youll find lots of history and memories. The owner did a great job with the museum and he is continually adding new pieces. Youll be surprised with what youll find here. You can buy a T-shirt, bike parts and get you bike serviced as well.I didnt have enough time to fully explore the entire museum, another 5 hour drive ahead of me, so I will definitely return on my next trip.
This was the most spectacular, unusual museum Ive ever been to. Definitely worth the donation!
If you like bicycles, this is a must visit.
Many, many bicycles there. There were so many that I probably only properly looked at 1% of them. There were some long ones, horrific ones, tall ones, Pee-Wees bike, a couple left in a tree, and so many more that they had to hang them on the walls and ceiling. Not even kidding. They have a nice store room where I got my first bike that I use gears on. Its a lot better to ride and Ive enjoyed riding it.Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. They did a good job.
Amazing place to visit! It’s like a time capsule taking you back to childhood. Very clean and very well taken care of, if you’re a collector, bring your checkbook - plenty of vintage items to choose from!
An amazing array of bicycles and bicycle related stuff.
I just had my 1971 Schwinn Collegiate tuned up by Bicycle Heaven. They did it very quickly and the price was very fair. They did a great job bringing it back to working condition and it looks about as good as a fifty year old bike can look. This was also my first time visiting the museum and its amazing - a great resource for anyone who is interested in bikes or needs some work done on theirs.
Loved it. Saw pee wee Hermans actual bicycle and the replica bike for the movie RAD.Met the owner and hes an awesome guy too.Looking forward to going back
Incredibly helpful staff and owners who helped me find a bicycle and helmet to meet my needs and adjust during test rides. Awesome aesthetic and museum. Solid, well-maintained bikes at great prices. Owners offered ongoing support in my renewed cycling journey after a decade long break.
Awesome place!! So glad we spotted by, and its nice that its free admission (donations recommended). We were so impressed by how cool it was though. There we some cool little rooms that were nice for pictures. Great hidden gem and definitely recommended it even if you dont care about bikes!
Fast and excellent repair of my bike! And this place is huge, 2 warehouse floors stuffed with bikes of all types and vintages along with lots of memorabilia. The museum is well worth the visit even if you dont need your bike to be fixed.
There is absolutely nothing as magnificent as this place. definitely worth checking out! Could have spent hours there, though we were pressed for time.
Wonderful mix of bikes. For one who rode some of these older machines it was a nice walk through the history of the bicycle Friendly folks also.
Was a great time ! One of the best free things to do in Pittsburgh. Lots of knowledge to be had !Very cool vibes.Owner is super down to earth and will answer any questions.Highly recommend !!!
Wow! What a collection! Spent an hour strolling room after room after room of vintage bikes artfully arranged from 1950’s to 2000’s. My wife and I saw our old Stingray banana-seat models from 1970s, also lots of unusual one-offs, customs, high-end racers, bikes from movies, TV, and more. Totally worth a visit if you find yourself in Pittsburgh.
Wow!! Lots and lots of bicycles of all shapes and sizes. Great history of bicycles. Highly recommend!
This place is amazing! I was visiting Pittsburgh for a few days and was extremely pleased to find this museum. This museum brought back memories. Highly recommended and would be one of the top attraction of Pittsburgh.
The coolest museum ever!! So many bikes literally every where. Its almost overwhelming but so so so so much fun. Definitely worth visiting.
I never leave reviews… BUT!!! When you see or experience something special, u wanna share it. And I tell ya, this place is a truly epic insight into what passion and motivation can achieve.I am so happy this place exists in the fashion it does. Everything about it, every corner is an epic mystery with a great reveal. When you leave with a true sense of awe and a new insight into what will amaze you. And u can’t help but be amazed and giggle and laugh with astonishment…. Go, Go, Go….
I had 5 others with me who were reluctant to see the bicycle heaven. Well they loved it and couldnt get enough of all the bikes. If you are anywhere near bicycle heaven you have to go.The facility is immaculate. We loved reading some of the personal histories of various bikes.
I have a great experience at Bicycle Heaven. I got my bike repair there and all of the employees are very friendly. Talk to Craig, Henry and Mike and they are super helpful. The price is cheapest out of all the shop I have been to. I will be back for more service. Thank you for being there.
This museum is a gem and would be interesting to kids of all ages, but particularly to bike riders. This amazing collection of bicycles and other vehicles is unsurpassed in the variety and unique pieces. Extra points for the sheer volume of bicycles.
This place is awesome! All the guys are helpful every time I come in for parts. My kids think its pretty cool too!
This was really awesome! If you are just an average bike person you will still thoroughly enjoy this. Its free.. and I highly recommend!
Really fun, unique and interesting place. Pay as you wish, free to the public, everyone should check this place out. Its so interesting, with over 4,000 bikes from the 1800s to present. Really loved walking around and will be back to visit again.
Such a fun place! I definitely recommend going! Free parking and entry. Theres thousands of crazy bikes and some things are for sale. Theres also a ton of fun surprises throughout the place. I had such a fun time and could spend hours in there!
Was in Pittsburgh for soccer and had some downtime. My daughter and I were looking for a museum or something unique in the Pittsburgh area to do. We heard about this free museum that displayed thousands of bikes from all years and makes and models even bikes that were used in movies. We were not disappointed. We spent about 2 hours in there and I bet only absorbed about 1/10th of what the museum had to offer. At the end as we were walking out we got to meet the owner (Craig Morrow). He wanted to make sure we had a good experience. It was great to get a chance to meet him. Definitely a must see if you come to Pittsburgh. It’s completely free including parking. Remember to donate and help keep these unique places available to be seen and enjoyed by all.
This place is awesome. Well worth it if you like bikes at all. Lots of history
Awesome place! Just bought a late 1940s bike from them today! Very easy to work with when buying things. Quite friendly. The museum part it quite awesome too. So many cool bikes to see. Would recommend going sometime.
The name says it all. Bicycle Heaven. Was looking for something to do on a rainy day and remembered watching a video about the place so decided to make a trip. There is any kind of bike you could ever think of and then some. Definitely a place to stop and check out and the best part is it is FREE with donations accepted if your just looking to tour the museum.
Interesting items to look at around every corner. A lot of fun pop history. I really enjoyed visiting. Well worth your time.
Great place to walk through and see all types of bikes and bike parts. Talk to the owner, he loves what he is doing... fantastic collection
I haven’t seen this many bikes in my entire life! Such a cool place with tons of character.
This place is truly awesome. If you love bikes and historical things, its a must visit!
Needed emergency bike repair while they were closing. The owner took the time and fixed us up cheap. Also bought a couple bikes from them. Nice place
Bought a very nice bike and got lost wandering around the many beautiful bikes. What a unique place. Thank you for your help! They have great customer service!! Cant wait to go back.
A lovely look into the history of bicycles. Such passion and joy expressed throughout the chock full displays and exhibits. Such a wealth of information in every inch of this huge warehouse. Be ready for a leisurely stroll through history. Thanks for making this collection available to the public for free! I was happy to donate to allow for more visitors to come. And come you should!! 🥰
Cool place to look around. Good place for a bicycle tune up, or repair.
So glad we came! I could spend many hours here. The engineering of many bikes is fascinating and the history of many bikes are very cool.
Great place with fast and excellent customer service 👌 👏
Cool place to check out, lots of interesting things!
What an incredible place! Went there to get some work done on my bicycle. As soon as I got there everybody was friendly and helpful. The bike mechanic Nick, really knew his stuff! And once I started walking around I was transported to all different times in American history. There was so much to see, and read, that it would take years to experience it all! I cannot wait to go back! This place is definitely a must-see!!!!
The worlds largest bicycle museum and bike shop. Really fun!! It’s for free. I like here and bought a cool T-shirt.
Craig and James were exceptionally kind and helpful. I needed to buy a part for my bike seat and they immediately stopped to help me and get me what I needed. Thank you!!
We had a few hours to spend in Pittsburgh before a flight and stopped here. Was definitely worth visiting in. Friendly staff and lots of cool bikes - including tons of vintage ones! It’s totally free but we bought a t-shirt to support the place and they also take donations. Can see it all in less than 20 mins.
Best bicycle collection Ive ever seen. Its a must for any collector.
Not what I expected at all. Really cool bikes 2 floors just filled brim with bikes of all varieties. Tom sent me to write this review highly recommend.
What an amazing place.Tom was very helpful with picking out a bicycle for my daughter. They have a big selection of used bikes which have been fixed .
We went 2 days in a row and will go back. Super cool place. Huge with bikes everywhere. I have 6 favorites atleast. Fun place to go on a cold or rainy day.
If you have a visitor from out of town, this cool museum is the kind of place that represents the cool and ecclectic side of Pittsburgh. Also, if you need a repair definately try this place out for very fast service.
Its the best museum Ive ever been at!
Bikes bikes bikes as far as the eye can see. Spend an hour looking them over and reminiscing.
If you like anything bicycle related, you will enjoy this place! Antique to vintage bmx! Its like a maze filled with bike.
We came all the way from Alabama to see the biggest bicycle museum in the world. It is very impressive. They have everything from BMX bikes to beach cruisers.
If you are in the Pittsburgh area and have the time, this place is a must-see! This museum is one of a kind and has interests for everyone! From rare finds to famous bikes from well-known actors or movies/tv shows. This was my second time here as I was here a year ago and things continuously change! They have this new room with black lights and paint that is fun for any age to have a quick photoshoot with your phone! This will always be a stop when I am in the area. Also, please donate! This helps keep the lights on and all of us able to see all of these great pieces of history!
Highly recommend. I was impressed with the collection and should be visited by any bicycle enthusiasts.
Got my bike tuned up on the spot for next to nothing. Really nice place with lots of bikes and supplies, and a museum for while you wait.
Spent the afternoon at this awesome place today. The staff were very friendly and informative. More than just bikes, I loved reminiscing and the combination of museum, repair and retail. We will definitely be back. Thanks Craig for this treasure.
Awesome gem to check out. Super friendly staff, every bike product imaginable and just a cool, eclectic place.
Holy cow, this place is awesome! staff are super friendly and helped out with anything. Got to check out a lot of cool ideas people implemented on bikes; something novel compared to Markham where theres only departmental bikes.
One of the coolest museums I’ve ever been to. They have thousands of bikes going back to the 1860’s. The owner was incredibly nice. I would highly recommend people going there, it is awesome.
Very interesting. So many pieces, its hard to take them all in. Great bike shop with merchandise too.
Amazing amount of bicycles.
Bicycle Heaven - just like it sounds. Heaven indeed.Came by during July 4th weekend and had the most fun with amazing bicycles they have in this place. Bikes from 1950s to bikes for Beatles, this place have range of bikes you never imagine in your life. The owner have done such an amazing job maintaining all the historic pieces and we felt he deserve medal. It is not just a museum, its art and history. A must see because you will find things you will enjoy here.My favorite is the Bike Tree: which is the only place to see two bikes in a Tree found in rural Ohio. So werid but so cool. Note the museum is free, but place donate if you are able to support the owner and staff.
Such a cool spot, a must-check-out if you’re visiting the burgh 🚲👽
Theres so many cool older, vintage bikes! Glad we got to see it even though we were looking for a kids 18 inch bike, they didnt have one but, my 7 year old son LOVED seeing what bikes looked like in the old days 😂
Amazing little attraction. Worth it to just walk around and see the history of the bicycle world.
Totally awesome and unique. If you are in Pittsburgh and have an hour to spare, this place is a must see, especially if you are a fan of vintage bicycles.
So much to see, A flashback in time. Nice people, quite an experience.. Will visit again.!
Stumbled upon this little gem by accident. What a fortunate things because this place is awesome. There is so much history and knowledge here. Bicycle heaven is amazing. And there are sooooo man bikes. All kinds from all years from all places. Its free, but you definitely should leave a donation. You wont be disappointed. Such a wonderful place.
Great place to see over 5000 different bikes. Once in a lifetime memorabilia definitely make a stop by.
Mr. Morrow you have outdone yourself. The worlds largest bicycle museum is also the number 1 museum in pittsburgh. I loved every last detail of bicycle heaven. It is easy to spend a whole day here.
Astounding number of bikes from many eras.
What a wonderful place, it took me back on memory lane when I was growing up. This green bike swivels and I had one as a child. If your in Pittsburgh, this a must see place. Bike Heaven is a must place to bring your kids or your love ones. Its guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.....
This museum has the most unique and amazing display of bicycles. Thousands of bikes, some can be purchased.
My son loves vintage bikes so we decided to stop at Bicycle Heaven to see if we could find him one. The freindly staff had no problem showing us some in the shop; most were reasonably priced but unfortunately out of our budget. When the owner hears what we are looking for he takes us all around the shop and through the new arrivals personally until we find something. Not only did he negotiate on the price, he also threw in a set of tires quickly mounted by a technician in the shop. While we waited he took my son through the musem to share some history of what we were buying. It was a great deal and a great experience. We cant wait to go back to add pieces to the bike. Thanks Bicycle Heaven!
I knew it was a nice place but I really didnt expect all this took me back to many memories just stuff in every corner stuff everywhere
Interesting,I was so impressed
