Older gentleman at the desk was quite possibly the biggest jerk I’ve ever dealt with at a smog station. He literally argued with me regarding my vehicle failing smog vs “not ready”. I said the DMV and 4 mechanics have told me my car came back “not ready”. It did not “fail”….it’s just “not ready”. This clown tells me they’re all wrong and he’s right and I should take my business somewhere else! Ha ha. So I did.

I went to check my car brake and the manager told me that my front brakes were worn out. They would resurface the disk too. So I had to pay for everything. In a month, my car had some other problem and I went to two different auto shops to check. They both told me that Perffection auto did it resurface my disk at all and showed it to me what a resurfaced one should be. The manager of this store was so dishonest and I would not recommend them to anyone. Shame on him!

I brought my car in for an oil change... I didn’t have an appointment and they were pretty busy. Brandon took my car in and said he’d try his best to squeeze me in. Not only did he squeeze me in, he got me out in less than an hour. I always appreciate friendly service and it’s rare to find these days. ***DO NOT GO HERE***Went in for free check engine light. Deals say they’re good but they add labor after and charge for “extra things that needed to be done”. Something with the engine and electrical was wrong and would charge $400. Said they would throw in a free oil change and air filter changed. Picked my car up today and both of those were a lie. Car is now making a rattling noise in the engine and I don’t know if it’s normal or not. Going to a different place on Monday. Tried to charge me $260 for tire replacements I didn’t need.Staff was very friendly but service was very poor and seemed very expensive. Will never return.

I often have my guard up when going to the mechanics, worried about getting taken advantage of or dismissed for being a woman. Not the case with Perfect Auto - Im not someone who writes reviews so the fact that Im taking the time to do this says a lot. These guys are friendly, respectful, professional, and they gave me a ton of discounts. I got a very bad oil leak fixed (involved a lot of new parts, rack and pinion steering replaced), oil changed, transmission fluid changed, and they gave me a discount on all of it. I also needed a headlight replaced, Id bought the light myself but needed someone to install it - and when I had called in to schedule and the manager told me over the phone that he would throw in my headlight install for free. At the time, he didnt realize that would mean removing my entire front bumper and would be 2 hours of labor, but he stuck by his word and did it for free. So in all I saved more than $500 with Purrfect Auto, and they didnt rush through the job either. Highly recommended.

They lied to me and said i had a leak and needed it fixed so I believed them. They overcharged so much. And i ultimately went home with a leak even though i never had a leak prior. Don’t believe what they tell u. Dont come here. They damaged my transmission after simply needing a fluid flush and left me technically paying for them to damage my car and leave all my transmission fluid draining out into the parking lot anytime I parked. Now my car has way more problems than it had before i went there and im down almost 400$. Terrible store and services done here.

Sept 2019 had a smog check and they had much improved and treated me very well. I was in and out in a very short time. Five years ago I gave 1 star but for the last visit I am giving them a 5 Star rating. Making another visit today to get a smog check to sell a car with another to soon follow. I will update if things change.

Avoid at all cost; went in with coupon for smog test. Owner elevated my car and started inspecting everything but the smog test requirement and then proceeded to advise that the oil pan was leaking and also claimed that the front brakes were worn and should be replaced. He explained that the leaks would caused the smog to fail and had to be fixed before the said test. I declined the additional work and reiterated that I came for smog test only. He refused to perform the test. Suffice to say that with the coupon and without the additional costly work, it was not worth his time. The coupon was a ruse to bring customers into his shop followed by advised for unnecessary costly work to benefit his bottom line.After leaving his shop, I brought my car to a smog test center for a second opinion. It passed without any issues.The owner was very friendly and personable, however under the hood, lies an unscrupulous operator. Additionally, he wasted an hour of my life.

They charged an absurd amount and did not solve my problem, they say it was an electrical problem, even so they charged 400 $, do not take your car with these thieves, extremely bad people, advertise free tests, but when you take the test, they charge an absurd amount.

Took my vehicle to get an oil change. As most shops do, they check for brake wear and other miscellaneous maintenance issues. As soon as my vehicle was in the stall, the skinny guy that looks sort of middle eastern and smells like alcohol tried to tell me that my water pump is about to go bad and that he knows these engines and could tell just by how it sounded. He said that the engine in my Chevy is a Mercedes 5-cylinder engine. I corrected him and let him know its an In-line 6-cylinder. He walked away after that. Then another mechanic tried to tell me that my brakes only had 15% life left in them and while showing me the brake pad, I took a picture and showed him that the brakes had at least 50%. He claimed his sight isnt that great. He did however bring an actual issue to my attention about one of my brake rotors that has dark areas which is a sign of hot spots and that it would be best to replace the rotor rather than machine it because the issue would just come back soon. I thanked him and said I would take care of that soon. They did rotate my tires for free, though. The synthetic blend oil they use comes from the back in an unmarked container. I just needed a local oil change but probably wont be using their services any longer.

I brought my car (Toyoto) in for smog check and Perrfect Auto found the front passenger side top motor mount (dog bone shape on top) is cracked. I agreed to let them replaced it. Parts $100.00 and labor $55.00. The new motor mount cracked in about 3 months. They checked further and told me that they found the lower motor mount also has problem that caused the top motor mount that they replaced to crack. I agreed to let them replace the lower motor mount and the top motor mount was replaced under their one-year warranty. The top motor mount cracked in about 3 months again. I found out it is a 5-minute job to replace the top motor mount. I bought the OEM top motor mount from Toyota for much less than Purrfect Auto charged me and replaced the part very easily. The OEM top motor mount is still in good shape after many many months of driving so far.My conclusions: Perrfect Auto used bad quality parts and charged a lot for a simple job and blame other parts for causing the new part to fail.

Please do not come to this mechanic. Total Rip offs...We went in for tires. They said my brakes and shocks needed to be replaced also. So we did them because of their suggestion. When they quoted us for tires, we had a better deal elsewhere, but said that Honda Pilots dont do well with any other brand of tire except for Bridgestone (which we didnt understand).We left the shop with the work done and later that day there was a clunking/rattling noise every time we hit a bump in the road. When I took it back to get checked out they said that now the struts need to be replaced and the bushings are cracked. I asked why this wasnt told to me when they were down there replacing everything else? Was this not checked at all? He just said I dont know I wasnt there.All that to say that we left with the same clunking noise and are taking the car somewhere else. Save yourself a headache and dont do business with them!

They cant even do smog renewals because of so much fraud they have committed. They advertise low prices that are phoney. YOU WILL GET SCREWED HERE!!!

Came in for a basic oil change but they found a bad transmission leak. They found the part for me and gave me a great deal! On top of that they stayed an hour late for me. I recommend this place to everyone👍👍👍

Had a quick smog test here for a car I was selling, they honored the coupon that I got in the mail with no issues and completed the smog test within 20min. Prices are very fair here and they were very friendly and helpful.

They lie! Not a STAR certified smog station. They never had a STAR certificate because they lie and cheat people.

This place has horrible costumer service. They priced me wrong, the work was terrible... Came in for my brakes and had to take it back because my brakes were rattling and squeaky. Then they said I had a coolant leak... So when I took it to another auto shop to get a second opinion with in 10 min they said they couldnt find a leak and it was bone dry and had 3 mechanics try to locate any indication that there was a leak. Dont trust this place... Theres other better and honest places then this. They will take advantage of you.

Numerous experiences because of the low smog check price, but stopped going there because of a number of BAD experiences failed to make up for the saved $. Some of my examples: 1) Said I needed to have my belts replaced because of cracks;WRONG. I knew they were good so asked him to show me the cracks and there were none but he continued to tell me they were there but it was just that I couldnt see them. This occurred about 6 years ago and the belts are still holding. 2) Coupon and price are always an issue. Handed him the notice for my mothers-in-law vehicle when he motioned for it. He would not take the coupon at that time. Next he printed out the sheet that a very large charge so I pointed out I had a coupon and he YELLED at me. Got him to take the coupon after I received a lecture. He printed out a new bill and added a little more than on the coupon. At that point I decided this was not the place for me. 3) Once, while in the waiting room I observed that they were taking advantage of a woman that had brought in her minivan and giving her a price that seemed to be extremely high for work that may not be necessary. There were two of us in the waiting room that suggested she get another estimate. 4) They once got upset with me because I was watching them do the work on my vehicle and told me I could not step over the line into the shop so I stayed on the outside and they seem angry they were being watched. Later, when the work was completed they had me come into the work area to finish the paperwork. ***Interesting what I put up with to save a few bucks on a smog check. Wish I could give them a minus star rating.3 smog checks 9-19 to 2-20. Not the best but cheapest with coupon. Didnt have my floor mats installed. Now have greasy footprints on the carpet. Also got notice that breaks needed replacement with % remaining without wheel removals for inspection.

I gave them 5 stars earlier and I was their loyal customer. Until they stab me on the back and tried to charge me $400 for changing the mass air filter, which they didnt change. They were just spraying it with a cleaner.

Guillermo is the best machanic they have with being a master GM machanic, thats over all a genius, most mechanics dont have the masters in automotive. He is Philippine and knows his stuff . this man opens doors that no one would think are possible. Very respected. Matt is a manager who is very patient and much regards. Great work for what you pay for . I would definable allow this place to do anything seen fit to a repair for my vehicle. Its a great place . 5stars .

I brought my car here July 9, 2017 because I thought maybe it was overheating. The temperature gauge would occasionally say hot. And since they fixed my thermostat a few months prior I thought they could look at it. Well they told me that I needed a whole new engine and timing belt for $2000. Which I thought was fishy since its a 96 Honda Civic that I had a new engine put in a few years ago and at most only had 100k miles on the engine. Well I took it to another shop because I wasnt going to fork out 2 grand without someone else looking at it especially since the car still runs. Had 2 other shops look at it both said I definitely do Not need a new engine. I just needed a timing belt for $200. $200 verses $2000. It is now November 10, 2017 and my car still runs great, I never needed that New engine they claimed I needed. I guess since they always saw a single female drop off the car, they figured I wouldnt question their dishonesty, and Id be easy to take advantage of. Which really makes me sick as I was a very loyal customer to them prior to this incident on July 9. I brought my car in multiple times for oil changes, they fixed my rack and pinion, thermostat, etc. makes me wonder now if I really needed all those repairs. I even wrote them a 5 star Yelp review prior to this incident, so why theyd single me out as someone to take advantage of is beyond me. I easily spent at least $1800 with them on past repairs, but no more. I would definitely Beware and stay away. Cant believe they thought Id drop 2 grand with them on a running vehicle without having another shop check it out first. Wanted to wait a couple months to write the review in case it really was the engine, but Id say 4 months later with no engine problems, and these guys are crooks.

These guys are crooks! I was only planning on getting an oil change. Within 10 minutes of giving them my keys, I was led into the garage by a manager, and was shown the problems with my car. For a brake adjustment, draining and refilling of fluids (transmission, radiator, power steering, brake fluid), replacement of two belts, fuel injection service, air filter (both cabin and engine), and oil replacement, the guy gave me a quote of $500! I asked what the price would be without the cabin air filter, and he said $400. Then I asked what the price would be without the fluid replacement, and he gave me a quote of $200. Meanwhile, he was scribbling all these quotes on the bill of service. I finally agreed to the $200 service, and he told me it would take about 2 hours. When I was later called up to the desk to pay, the sales clerk rung me up for $400! I had him call in the manager, and reminded him that we had agreed on the $200 service. He said, I am sorry, but you signed next to the $400 quote, and that is what we agreed on. Showing me the bill of service, I realized that- even though he had circled the number 200 at the top of the page, he had me sign next to his scribbling of $400. I tried arguing my point again, but it was me against their whole scam operation. I was basically mugged $200. Please DO NOT get service done at this place, unless you like to give away money to dirtbags!! On another note, the car that they fixed is making worse sounds than when I took it in.

Oil change went wrong and lost the oil bolt. The owner sent his best mechanic, Jose. He picked me up and fixed the problem and gave me great advice on enhancing my vehicle to top standards. Ask for Jose!

I fell right into it! My car is there now, theyre still trying to fix the same problem I took it there for. I wish I would of been smart enough to look at the reviews first. .$1000.00 later. ...Ill keep you up to date..hopefully theyll redeem their selves

Please do not bring your vehicle here. I brought my car over for a water pump replacement and they blew my motor. These guys are scam artists. Every single neighbor on my complex has had work done in the past and every single one reports that they will never allow them to even change the oil on their car. You can smell the booze on there employees. This company is complete trash, I can bet that any positive review they have is to cover up how often they’ve screwed their customers over. Please learn from my mistake and do not support this business.

This place is totally a scam. My worst first and worst experience with the auto repair shop. The Owner and manger of the garage are not perfect guys. Even before diagnosing the car properly they will list out all the problem if you are new and unknown and charge you heavily. Dont even want to give him 2 single star. This guy is totally con, because he only focus on how much he can siphon out the money from the client.I had a check engine light and got it fixed very simple in other place but this guy cost me over $600 and still the light was on, so I gave up fixing here.In addition, he said I needed to fix something else, since previous repair did not fix check engine light, then I stopped going there and found somewhere else.I think this place need investigation and shut down.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. While this auto repair may have low prices, their work and customer service skills rate just about as low.On July 1st, 2011 I had my oil changed at their repair shop. No issues. Some time went buy and I (being the busy person I am) failed to get my oil changed in the normal 3000 miles. Yesterday, April 3rd, 2012 I realized it had been a long time since I had my oil changed. I went to the local Valvoline Oil Change (which had great service) to have it changed. Upon checking the oil drain plug, they notified me that whoever had last changed the oil (Purrfect) had put silicon on the drain plug, an apparent big no-no in the automotive world. They advised me they could not change my oil because of the silicon and recommended I contact Purrfect and ask why they put it on there.On April 4th, 2012 at approximately 3:20PM, I arrived at the Purrfect Auto Service facility in Placentia. I spoke with the manager (who did not provide his name) and explained the situation. I advised him I had not changed my oil in almost 8 months, and that the last person to even touch the oil was their shop (I even have all my service records to substantiate the fact). Immediately, the manager became defensive and denied that their shop ever puts silicon on the drain pans. I explained to him that there was no way it was anyone other than their shop, because I had not had the oil changed since them and that, for there to be silicon on the drain plug, it would to have been applied by the last mechanic to do the oil change. After that, he began to berate me, chastising me for not having my oil changed sooner. Please note the beginning of this review, where I *acknowledged* my shortcomings in getting my oil changed. He continued to call me a liar, stating that I must have had my oil changed by someone else. Long story short, the manager and I argued for about ten minutes, I got nowhere, and he insisted his shop did not apply the silicon and wanted to charge me to repair the oil pan.I do not trust any business where the manager will lie, get caught in the lie, and then continue to lie in an attempt to save himself. I strongly advise you: DO NOT TRUST THEM. The low prices are not worth the hassle down the line.

Dont ever take your car here. every time i took my car into this place i always end up losing money. one time i did the oil change there & i end up paying for something else that was broke. last time i went back (my mistake) because of the add for the smog check for $20ish. they gave me the excuse that my car was a very special kind of car and i end up paying around $80. plus it didnt pass the smog, i did asked them to make sure they didnt run it in the system if it was not going to pass BUT they anyway. i came back a little over a month later and they refuse to do the re-test because it was over 30 days since the original smog check. this place is shady like this regardless of the new management signs

They had a pennysaver add for a $8.99 smog check + the 8 something dollar state few. coupon expired on 8/9/13 and my wife went in on 8/8/13. the guy told her our car didnt qualify (2007 standard non-altered car) and said it would be $35. my wife called me while she was there and i told her to leave. when she asked for the keys back the guy said he would do it for 30. we told him no thank you and he said you wont find it cheaper anywhere else. Then he said he didnt know where she could have gotten that coupon from, that it wasnt for his shop. Mind you the pennysaver add we brought in listed the companys name and address specifically. classic bait and switch technique. i dont do business with people who lack ethics. id rather go somewhere else and pay $40. Talked to a man on the phone regarding Smog. He told me to bring my truck in at lunch. Got there and Ali said the machine was broken come back in 2 days. He was rude! Also told me I needed paperwork from DMV. DMV told me no need for paperwork they can file on line with VIN. Shady Place!
