Cozy family-run shop in the middle of Plano with a wide variety of whiskey, wine, and beer. I go there for the occasional bottle of whiskey. They are generous with their points discounts and even have an allocation lottery to try and distribute the high end stuff further out than it might otherwise get. Employees are super nice, even if you dont find something that catches your eye that day.I was lucky (and happy) to find Discovery #4 for a reasonable price the other day, so its definitely worth looking around if youre passing by. Definitely one of my favorite ways to support a small business.

This is honestly the best family owned liquor store in the area that I’ve found. They are super helpful and will order special things if you ask them. They have things that the Big Wine and Liquor stores don’t even carry. They also give a discount if you pay with cash. They also have a discount loyalty program for every dollar you spend. I’ve already saved $15 PLUS the 2.5% that you save for paying with cash. And they’re super helpful with carrying stuff to your car. And the girls that work in there ALWAYS have a smile on their face. Tompson Liquor is my best discovery of 2020. Prices are fare and selection is excellent. To top it off Evelyn is the greatest.

This is my go-to liquor store! The family that runs it is super friendly and remembers me even when I only drop in once a month or less. They have a great selection and reasonable prices. I prefer supporting the local guys over the big chains when I can.

This is one of the best plano liquor stores. They have friendly staff and the same staff so you know who they are. This being a family owned store the prices are higher than the chain stores like specs liquor. Example specs sells sky for 18 and change and Thompson is 24.99 for the same bottle. The only issue I have with the family owned store.

They also have a pretty decent collection and make sure to keep a look out for specials. I went today for a small bottle of sky for 16.00 and left with a larger one for 6 dollars more. Stopped by to get my favorite Vodka - knowing what price I pay at Fossil Creek and he matched it!! I now have my new store! Its closer to my drive home and the owners we really nice. Would definitely recommend.

I went in for tequila and got an education. The staff here really know their liquors and even though it was close to closing time nobody tried to hustle me out of the store. The recommended brand if tequila (which I would have never chosen on my own) is now my newest favorite! The owner was working, too, and was very friendly. Lots of bantering!
