I have been a patient at Foothill Optometric for over 35 years but with the retirement of Dr Liu, sadly, I needed to find a new doctor. My daughter recommended hers—Dr. Yang. This was the right choice. It took a long time to get in to see him (over 2 months), but it was worth the wait. The staff is friendly and helpful. The office clean and organized.

The staff at Foothill Optometry were very professional and personable. They kindly adhered to safety guidelines throughout my visit. Optometric assistants were also very capable and personable. Dr. Andrew Yang is an excellent optometrist. He took time to understand my needs and special circumstances. He provided advice and insight that will be very helpful to my ability to manage my eyesight needs. I’ve never realized that there could be multiple solutions to different eyesight needs. I look forward to returning for new glasses to meet my specific needs.

They have a very clean and safe environment. I liked their friendly staff. And Ive been going there for many years now. I highly recommend them. They have helped me identify some eye problems and given me good suggestions to help with them. I now have those problems under control.

The staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and simply do a great job. All your questions get answered in a way you can understand. Simply can’t recommend Foothill Optometry Group enough.

They never answer the phone. I have called them several time to reschedule the appointment but it goes straight to voice message. I left voice message as well but they are not calling me back. This makes me feels like they dont care for there customers. I am giving up and scheduling appointment with another practice.

From checking in to choosing new glasses, everyone is efficient, friendly, and professional! The offices are clean and up to date. Selection of frames is great, I always have a hard time picking just one! Dr. Staples is amazing, and I am sure the other physicians are also! The staff that assist with choosing frames are sooo helpful! Shout out to Ally for letting me try on a TON of frames and having such patience with my indecisiveness! Tried to make appointment today and they indicated Dr Yang was booked until next year. This has been the case over the past several years. I like Dr Yang, but hate dealing with office staff and their inability to make timely appointments. I will be looking for a new service provider.

The front desk staff and medical assistants are courteous and professional they run on time and are moving patients efficiently through all steps. I loved our doctor as did my husband and son. My only small issue was this time we were passed on to the retail person at the end - it felt like exiting the gift shop at an amusement park. My son’s prescription is VERY low- almost like cheaters you’d get at CVS. I told him and the woman we could look to see what style he liked but needed to check on our insurance coverage and flex spending. My son liked the first pair he tried on- the woman started writing up a bill- I said hold on let’s at least try on 3 for reference. She seemed a bit impatient and had heard me mention sunglasses while we were waiting (he’s 14 and I meant Target style not with Rx) then she was showing him $$$ RayBan style. He picked a pair of glasses and I asked her what the final total would be w our insurance coverage and all the add-ins? She again somewhat impatiently did the math and it was close to $400. I told her we needed to talk to my husband first (him and I had JUST gotten 4 pairs at Costco w insurance for $440 total for reference) she actually seemed angry and essentially dismissed us - like she couldn’t believe she wasted 15 minutes with us if we weren’t going to buy on the spot. I felt VERY pressured. The medical part is A+, the retail part has a great selection if price isn’t an issue for you.

I’ve been with Foothill Optometric for over 20 years. Unfortunately the cofounders retired this summer and sold the practice to Total Vision. I learned yesterday that the discount for Seniors without vision insurance has been cut in half under Total Vision. I feel that this is unfair, especially for customers who have been loyal to Foothill Optometric for over 20 years.

Pleasant and efficient staff, newer equipment and good selection of frames. If you are out of pocket like me, be sure to ask for the $99 deal. Exam is a bit on the expensive side. Save 15% if you are paying cash or CC with no insurance. Good place to go for eye care.

Dr Yang is very attentive and empathetic. He gives me complete details in any depth I choose. He offers choices and educated me about cataracts and what to expect in the future. He never looks at his watch, gives his full attention the entire visit. I have never left the office with unanswered questions or concerns.

Pretty horrible customer experience. They never pick up the phone and never call back if you leave vm. I had to personally go to check the status of the order (they didnt know since the person who knew wasnt there).When I asked how can I check the status before coming in, they said call the same number (which they never pick). I told them that I have left multiple voicemails and no one calls back - front office person said we have 3 pages of voicemail. We havent been able to go through it. So, there you go.BTW - the product itself wasnt good quality. The reason I had to go was to get a replacement for my kids frame, which broke within a week.

Dr Liu is the best. Patiently explains what he is looking for in the Optimap and how mine stacks up. He just doesn’t look at it and say all’s well. I’ve been a patient for over 20 years and recommend him highly to anyone in need of his services.

Took 3 months to get my lenses - still not done right. You may know that many other Optometry can get your glass ready in an hour. Even Costco can get glasses done in a week. I ordered my glass here in December 2020 and I received it in March 2021. Almost time for my next vision check up. I ordered from this place only because they made the glass well couple of years ago. But this time, it was huge disappointment. Came to know there is no return or refund even if you are not happy with the glass while other places will take it back without any questions. Go figure. Will avoid this place from now.

Love it !!! I love all the people there. I love my doctor! And its so clean! Even before the pandemic they kept clean by wiping the equipment. They clean the seats before you sit on them and sanitize the glasses. Very welcoming community, I recommend!

UPDATE - Got a call with the office and and at least they acknowledge that they are short staffed and they do not have any supervisors on the weekends so they will reach back to me on Monday. Will see how this goes.It seems like new they sold the place and customer service was not part of the deal. this has become a chain store where people get hired to do whatever with no accountability. I have been following up for weeks on my sons lenses and either they do not respond or they just keep adding more time. After a month we figured out they had messed up the order. then a new order was placed and that too did not arrive.Similar experience when they had COVID issue in their office, no updated at all even after reaching out and asking them specifically if we should take any precautions (see screenshot of the messages exchanged with the office). Are their government agencies that track these kind of practices?

First time here, as a referral from a friend. Friendly reception, excellent care at every step of the way. I’m particularly pleased with the thoroughness of the eye exam, including a retinal scan, which gave lots of information about the health of my eyes. Very pleased so far!

At no time during the examination with Dr. Sjodahl or with the technician when selecting new frames did I feel rushed. Dr. S explained every step and discussed the images in a way I understood. Excellent care and friendly staff.

Love F.O.G. - I had an appointment 1st thing in the morning. Plenty of friendly folks there even though it seemed none of us had done what they politely ask. Did you get a chance to go online and update your information? Our response, no. Sadly I even had a change, though it did not impact my insurance info. My person was very nice and made the change for me and by checkout I was updated.Marci helped me from start to finish. Great job. I wanted a to repurchase a well loved frame that was in a drawer and she knew just what I wanted. Turned out, I had the wrong name for the style and Marci was wonderful and found it in the computer. Unfortunately, it was no longer available but she gave me some great ideas to get the broken ones fixed by them. I was able to make a great new purchase with her help and be on my merry time of year way.Liz was awesome at checkout too. Oh and cant forget my doctor who took the time to explain the fancy picture they took of my eye.Love this place!! Thank you.

Very busy office but everyone was very nice. With it being so busy there was a little confusion and they were going to make me take the same tests over that I did 20 minutes before. Dr. Chen is very nice and takes the time to explain everything to you. Prices are a little high. Overall experience was good.

Foothill has been our optometrist for the last 12 years to our family. We have been so happy with Dr. Staples and their entire staff. They are professional, personable and provide the best service. The office is clean with a great selection of designer glasses to purchase in all price points. Good location off of 680 and easy parking.

Dr. Staples provided the most comprehensive eye examination, and the service provided by technicians was excellent. During COVID they implement the highest level of cautionary methods so I felt extra safe.

I have been going to Foothill Optometric for over 30 years, since I first needed glasses. They have always been so good, so knowledgeable, all staff so extremely friendly & great choices on frames. I do not hesitate to refer to them because I have for years & everyone has become long term patients as well.

Dr. S is simply the best. He is knowledgeable, understanding, thorough, and has great sense of humor to boot. I am blessed to be able to have him as my “eyes”!

The worst customer service I have ever seen. I am waiting for my glasses for more than 1 month. They were supposed to deliver them to me free but they called me again and said that I can pick them up. There are many glasses brands but worst customer service I have seen ever.

Ive never been to an eye doctor - and on top of it I just moved to California from Florida. On Tuesday, my dog happened to paw my eye and scratch my cornea. When my eye didnt feel better after laying down for a few hours I began to panic and I was so, so thankful that Dr. Chen was able to squeeze me into her schedule within 30 minutes of calling. The office staff was so kind as I blindly walked into the office (dont worry - I took a lyft!). She calmed me down and was so gentle as she walked me through what the next few days would be like for me. I had two follow up appointments and everything is going well. I am so grateful for the whole staff - very friendly and flexible! They worked with me in a tight time limit and helped out with my insurance. Im so glad my sister-in-law found them for me! Thank you Dr. Chen and staff!

Everything runs smoothly here and everyone’s cheerfully helpful which is why I’ve been coming back for the past 10+ years.

The office staff is very friendly and efficient. There was no wait time. I moved through the appointment in a timely manner. Dr. Liu is very friendly and personable. He knows what to look for in vision health, especially as we get older. The glasses were fitted promptly, and I am excited about wearing them when they arrive.
