I would give them 0 stars if I could.BUT I want to start by saying the doctor here is amazing. I would recommend him to anyone! Very attentive and effective.The staff however, were a nightmare. They are the most incompetent group of people I’ve ever dealt with. DO NOT ORDER CONTACTS OR GLASSES FROM HERE!!!
We ordered a pair of glasses about a month ago for my daughter. First while we were placing the order the staff didn’t know how to use their system to properly charge to the credit card. We waisted about an hour waiting and then finally they asked us to go home and they will call later to take care of the payment. An hour later one of the staff called and we provide all the information. She confirmed that the charge went through and said you need to wait couple weeks for the items to arrive. Two weeks past and on the 3rd week we called to find out where is our order. They informed us that the order will arrive in 4 days. Four days past and when we called again to our surprise they informed us that we never placed an order and the visit was only for an eye exam. It is extremely frustrating to do business with this store. I would avoid it at all cost in the future.

Dr.Steven Hong is great! Best optometrist Ive seen in entire 25 years of wearing glasses. Hes personable and knowledgeable, answers all questions and concerns. The receptionist is helpful and has great customer service. Definitely going to keep coming here for future exams. Also brought my kids here also and they had a great experience too!
Long story short, all staff is not trained on purchases and returns, which they should be. Only certain people can do them which resulted in multiple trips trying to get a refund on frames I purchased. They kept saying come back when the person whos trained to do it is available. They actually had the merchandise in their possession, so I ended up filing a dispute with my bank to get my money back.
I purchased two pairs of glasses after getting an eye exam. The customer service when ordering the glasses was just ok. I was told 5-7 days for them to come back. I called several times checking to see if they came in and the answer was always “No, give it 3-4 more days. After business days I called four different times and was on hold 25 minutes for two calls, and finally got the standard answer “Oh, they just came. REALLY!! I went to pick them up and she just handed them to me, no customer service whatsoever. Didn’t want me to try them on or check and see if I could read. After spending $650.00 they couldn’t even give me a descent case or something to clean them with. Please go somewhere else, there is definitely no savings purchasing glasses here!!
Went in to get my glasses replaced since they were stolen. All of the ladies went above and beyond to make sure I got my glasses replaced and an eye exam done. Definitely recommend anyone who is looking to get a new pair of glasses to come to this center, wonderful customer service
Very rude, unprofessional people. They are not only unqualified, uneducated, but also lack common sense of how to treat customers. I doubt if they care about anything other than collecting their paychecks. Good luck if you end up spending your $$ here.
I have zero tolerance to people who are rude, and doesnt know any common courtesy to customer. There was a woman at the Walmart vision center who was very rude to me over the phone. I was giving her all the information already about my insurance and she sounded like she did not believe me. She was talking over me and she sounds like she was not willing to accept what I was telling her. She finally went and check it herself and was able to verify the correct information. That is their job anyway to help customers not to drive them away for them not very good in customer service. Ladies of the Walmart vision center, try to be nice to your customer because without them, you are POS.
As I was standing in line with my one year old daughter my contact came out of my eye.. I tried desperately to save the contact until it fell to the floor.. I thought to myself no big deal.. my eye dr is literally adjacent to where I was at in line.. I went over and asked if there was any way possible to get one contact to hold me over until I got home.. the woman at the front desk said it was store policy there are no free trials unless given at the time of the exam or if I order a box of contacts (90$ this single mother doesnt have for another few days) I asked if I could have the money for the contacts come out Friday she said Id have to pay at least half.. I walked away abruptly because I saw no winning in this situation.. sadly Id be driving home scared for both mine and my daughters lives.. people like this are why our world gets worse by the day.. I needed help.. asked if I could just buy one she said no.. I will be taking this further within the company
I visited Dr. Steven Hong. There are two kinds of doctors one who talks and lot and answer all your questions and one who prefers to stay silent most of the time. If you like a Doctor who talks and answers all your questions and concerns he is the guy you have to go.
Service at this department is really bad. Employees have no idea of to how take good care of clients.
First of all, I have to say that this was the best experience by far that Ive ever had with the eye doctor. The tall gentleman in the lobby used very proper grammar every time he greeted me, and was humorous. Next, I talked to Layla a couple times and she was very kind and thorough. Lastly, Dr. Hong totally rocks. As a healthcare provider myself, Ive worked with 100s of dentists in 3 states, and he is professional, a great communicator, thorough, down to earth and hilarious. Most importantly, as a consumer and a patient, his knowledge and patient care was stellar. He explained things easily and clearly. I cant give their office enough stars. I read a review below, and they must be smoking crack. Dr. Hongs office is amazing.
These ppl are absolutely the WORST! DO NOT GO HERE. The doctor who did the follow up.. Dr. Hong completely screwed up putting my Rx to what it was 15 years ago..he completely changed the results of my initial eye exam. He even put my eyes at the same Rx when they are far different. The manager is impatient and extremely unpleasant. It was absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had. These ppl are mean and incompetent. Their equipment is old and they dont even seem to know anything. The manager didnt even know how to read the paperwork. She also doesnt care. I really hate these ppl. They cost me over $100. And instead of making it right they had the nerve to try to get me to pay for another eye exam. They give Wal-Mart a bad name. Do not go here... They are horrible
