Store clean. Staff knows there job and what products they carry. Great help, knowledgeable in serval different areas regarding makeup. Accurate money handling. No customer service when comes to having a cart to help the Disabled person to use. But everything else was VERY PLEASANT PLACE TO SHOP. THE PRICES ARE OVER PRICED ON SOME ITEMS. SOME ITEMS UNDER PRICED. GOOD PLACE TO SHOP.

Was in this store on Wednesday and the cashier was super helpful believe her name was Pearl. I was super confused on 2 types of foundations, and coming into a store where all women work can be pretty intimidating. She made me feel at ease, and was super knowledgeable about both products. Made it enjoyable and she matched me as well. Definitely going back once I run out!

I visited the salon for the first time on Monday after receiving rave reviews from my mother in law. I saw Courtney and she was absolutely wonderful! She listened to exactly what I wanted for my hair and made it happen! She gave me a tutorial on how to style it and had tons of knowledge about hair care. I learned so much in order maintain the health of my hair. My mother in law sees Tammy and shes also amazing and funny! Definitely a 5 star experience for me!

Had a sale on No7 skin care and found a couple of different items there. Found some texture paste for my hair that I had been looking for. Of course bought some Ulta cosmetics 😁

They are rude! I love other Ulta stores, this store is never fully stocked in what Im looking for and when you ask them to check for something they always have attitude. Also when I try to use any coupons they always give me a hard time. I hope it improves and train them to be genuine w/customers or hire new people.

Go to Amanda for facials! She is the best! Super sweet and knowledgeable and makes you feel very comfy.

They did not seem to know much about the hair dying product, I figured Id get more info at Ulta rather than Walmart. Left without buying anything, no one asked if I needed help, made a suggestion or made it fun to be there...

Had my first hair appointment this morning. My appointment was cancelled but it was my fault not checking my phone number that I had put down. Tammy rescheduled me with her and I am forever grateful to her. She was welcoming and professional. I havent had my hair cut in years because of a hack job done prior and I couldnt be more pleased with what I walked out with. She is amazing! I cant stop looking at my hair!

I purchased from this location with cash and was not given the correct change back. I called to let them know that I will be going back to get the rest of my money. When I arrived, I was informed that they needed to check the film to make sure that they indeed gave me the incorrect amount. I didn’t mind this, but after she “checked the film” she informed me that the amount given was indeed correct.The problem I have with this is that on this specific day I had a specific amount of cash on me. So, I knew exactly how much cash was SUPPOSED to be in my purse when I went to Marshall’s to purchase some baby clothes. (The main reason I went out) As soon as I reached the Marshall’s register to purchase the clothes, I unwound the Ulta receipt (with the cash wound in it) and seen that the Ulta worker did not give me the correct change amount. I returned an item at Marshall’s to account for the difference. Now if Ulta wasn’t closed by the time I had left Marshall’s, I would have returned to explain their mistake, but they were closed. So, I decided to leave it for another day.The fact that this worker was blatantly lying to me straight to my face that the “film” shows that she indeed gave me the correct amount is what compelled me to write this review. You messed up. Take responsibility for your mistakes. Do not try to convince me that this “film” shows that you counted out the correct change amount because I know my money.

I went shopping there yesterday with my mother, to get her a birthday present. And we asked an assistant for help, and she was just really rude. We asked if she had JLO, which is my mothers favorite fragrance, and she was like we have never carried it, so we asked if she had anything like it, and with a snooty attitude was like I have never smelt it before. Just like we were beneath her, I will never shop at that ulta again.

I was greated as I walked in but after 20 minutes, not one clerk asked if they could assist me...i was the only customer in the store. Not much customer service. (Must have been trained by Wal-Mart.) Too bad I will be spending my money in Visalia.

Soooooo many times Ive gone here (porterville store) where Im lookin for a specific item, Ive been told, yeah we no longer carry that or no we dont have that(untrue) found it myself & purchased. If something on sale, they have NO CLUE about it! Ive asked for assistance with certain purchases knowing the answer & I was givin wrong information. If u want your points redeemed, be sure to ask, theyre to lazy to check. I can go on forever. Love the makeup, but SOME staff are clueless. Sometimes a GED is worthless if u have no knowledge of ur job, product & lack customer service, js. Google before u go for any guidance or recommendations.

I went in and asked if they offered samples, the girl working there just looked and me and laughed she said uh we dont do that here turned around and left didnt even give me a chance to ask her more questions. & when I finally found the section I was looking for it was out of stocked. I asked another employee if she could help me see if there was more in the drawers & she had an attitude about it! Worst ulta ever!

Honestly I’ve been here many times and just ignore the employees because honestly they are the rudest people I’ve met. Me and my friends were looking for a couple of things but the employees treated us very badly just because we were young. So we took our money else where. Online or going to Sephora is what we’re going to be doing from now on. The owner really needs to fix their employees attitudes

First Im a male. Stopped at PetSmart for dog earwash Ulta is next door so I went in for cotton pads to clean the dogs ears. Walked through the door and got the usual hello. Then I watched as one of two ladies at the counter very noticeably walked right past me while looking me up and down. I ask her to help me and she replies, oh shell help you at the counter. Rude ! Got my stuff and left .

Everything is just way outrageous in price nothing is that good for the prices they charge! One product I buy was supposed to take care of my problem at $30 for 2 oz. Well two years have gone by and hundreds of dollars later Nothing!! But I keep on trying not knowing what to do.

Make up is great and all but customer service is the WORST a cashier which I think was the manager was very rude and literally was screaming letting the whole store know were gonna exchange some stuff and checked every single item to make sure I wasnt stealing like she even opened some of the Kylie lip kits which made me feel SOOO uncomfortable.

Awful!!! Their staff is really rude and arent very helpful. I assume Ulta is losing a lot of money while employing staff that gossip and just stand around. I have a friend that worked here and has since quit. She said they are awful to work with as well. The porterville location needs an employee over haul. Ill be shopping at Sephoras in Visalia in the meantime.

Gave two stars because the makeup selection is good. Ive only come across 2 girls who have actually seemed to enjoy working in customer service. Went today to get a new eyebrow pencil. When I previously went the girl at the benefit bar matched my eyebrows for me 2 shades lighter then what I actually am. Went today to switch the ABH brow wiz. I believe it was the manager who helped me. Very rude. Told me that you need to be more experienced to use a dipbrow while staring at my eyebrows. Which I obviously didnt do purposely. As soon as I asked her if she was assuming I didnt know what I was doing, her tone immediately changed. Store needs customer service work. Especially being the only beauty store in town with a wide selection.

Please assess your hiring practices upper management.

I came to this place once before and they were very rude so when i would go to Tulare or Visalia I would stock up to avoid going in Portervilles location. I had an emergency and needed to run in and grab some make up and the same woman who was at register was just as rude as the first time I went!!!! Her name is like Kendra or Kim avoid her. The drive to Tulare is worth it.

Staff are always so friendly and helpful.

Beauty products are great there and they are very helpful when it comes to makeup but their hair salon sucks 40 bucks for a hair cut and style and the cut wasnt good and style was bad as well.
