So happy to have them here, in Portsmouth! As my hubby is an avid tool collector this is a very affordable option to get that I need just one wrench for this one thing kind of place. Might not be the highest of quality, but they do provide warranties for some items. Im just happy that its affordable and convenient!

Aug 2: Still no sign of my order. 🙁July 9: Honestly, my review has nothing to do with the people at this location. They are all great. My -5 stars goes toward Harbor Freight fulfillment- sucks. And their sales order date of delivery to the store is not credible or even close to accurate. Most items are China made, so, if your something that is not physically in the store and you get a date of delivery, add 6 weeks for the transpacific delivery. I don’t think they have a distribution center in the US or if they do, they need a new forecast team.That said, the people are patient and we aware of the delivery issues.With a good attitude, they deal disappointment well. I have not gotten so annoyed or angry enough to cancel my order and go to that other big box store for my tool chest.I will still shop here but I will only buy what is in stock.

Deals to be had, especially things that dont need to be a name brand. For the tool person, its worth walking the store to see what could make your life/work easier without breaking the bank.

Nice to have one in town! Off brand tools cheap. I mean, their tools LOOK good, but they just have a reputation for not being top shelf. But at 25-50% of what youd normally pay, you can make a lot of mistakes. ;)

Harbor freight tools is a pretty impressive place. For someone like myself who has to do things on a marginal budget you can find decent if not really great tools for the money. For my profession I prefer to invest in quality tools and wisely purchase pieces that will last a lifetime. There are a lot of projects however that require a quite literal one and done use tool. So buying the best is not necessary... but I am finding that much of what Im buying these days from FP to be much better then expected. Do a little research into what you buy and you just might find a diamond in the (maybe no so) rough at Harbor Freight. And the people who work at the store are really nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Well worth checking out.

For a weekend warrior Harbor freight fills a niche. There are tools that will do the job but dont require you to spend an arm and a leg. I purchased a 50 lb hopper abrasive blaster and it performed incredibly well. I wasnt trying to do a steel bridge with it. My project was my aluminum wheels that had corroded. It didnt need a lot of air to drive it. I ran it with a borrowed 5 horse home compressor. I used an HF inline desiccant filter to dry the air and kept my pressure below 90 lbs. Buying tools from HF requires some judgement and careful perusal of online reviews. Having said that, theres some real decent tools that allow you to do a job without breaking the bank. And when the job is done, you wont have a lot of money tied up in tools that are just sitting there collecting dust.

The add said they had motorcycle jack s and we drove there and they had none and there policy is they cant sell there desplay

700 ft-lb compact torque wrench for 80.00. Will definitely last for my wheel bearing replacement. Even at 350 ft-lb, it beats my big ingersoll rand.

There are lots of harbor Freight stores around the country and over the years Ive been to many of them. The stores are basically the same but what makes them different are the people. Ive had bad experiences (San Antonio Texas) but the Portsmouth Harbor Freight has been a consistently a good one. Bravo!

I bought a crosspein hammer that I believe is cursed.It shocks me everytime I pick it up, and caused an electrical malfunction once when I got ticked off at a strangely large man. His skin was almost blue in the barely twilight evening. Wierd. He left behind some wine or something thats super sweet.I was drinking it the other day... honestly a little bit too much. I was angry that Id had to pay up the you-know-what in taxes and threw the hammer at a tree. That poor tree exploded in a ball of bright light and for some reason I had the hammer back in my hand!Wonderful selection, great prices.

This is the cleanest Harbor Freight store I have ever been in. I really enjoyed how the floor was layed out. Everything was so extremely easy to find.I went into the store to find a leaf blower mulcher for a reasonable price and got exactly what I was looking for.

2 thing i went for where out of stock then. checking out was as bad as getting a tooth pulled. Why do tires have to have a special process to check out. Take my money and let me get out. Guess i go to a tire store next time. Call first and check on inventory is my suggestion.

Harbor Freight carrys many tools. Many tags say made in China. But there is a big variety of items for both woodworking and metalworking. Plenty of items for working in the garage or gardening. Worth a stop.

The store was neat and ordered. It had a many items with good prices. I did not care for the music. It was a lot of metal but thats just my not my preference for music. Clerk was very nice.

Big assortment but only worthwhile if you pay $30.00 to join rewards program. No one around to answer your questions or speak with not the lace to go if doing a project and you need advice.
