There phone system is atrocious. Everything is automated, cant talk to a human being. When you have questions before the exam it would be nice to have someone answer your questions. I have been going there for years and have recently given up, poor practice to have a robot answer your phone. Now Im guessing I cant even get through to have my records transferred, unreal!!
Have been waiting for over an hour just to pick up glasss. Not even adjust them. Just picking up.
I will never do business in this place again. You can’t get through to anyone on the phone. I don’t live close and I had an important question before my appt. NONE of the phone numbers work. Not even the main 800 number. And this wasn’t the first time it’s happened to me but I let it go the first time thinking they were having phone trouble. When I questioned the employees they just shrugged their shoulders and said sorry. They claimed to not know why the phones NEVER work. Inexcusable. Terrible business practice. They have way too much competition for me to be bothered with this terrible service. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time here!!!
Incredible team: professional, reasonable priced, patient + knowledable but most importantly, they are cheerful + kind.....they worked miracles to help us get glasses in time for our vacation. Anothet positive was the music while waiting: soothing...so appreciate all the courtesy🌿🌺🌿
Very very rude! My glasses broke and I lost a lens so I can’t read or write. I am disabled and due to low immune system I cannot go out of my apartment. I live alone as well. I called to see if they could look at my prescription and tell me what strength it was so I would know what size cheater glasses to buy online. They refused to give me the information over the phone! They were not even nice about it! They’re trying to tell me the prescription is old and I probably need a new prescription and a new I exam which I understand. I’m trying to explain but all I need is the strength so I can compare it to the strength of the cheaters. This way if I can get someone to go out to the drugstore they can buy a few different strings and return the ones that don’t work for me. You would think I was asking for the moon! The woman I spoke with was extremely rude and very agitated and refused to give me the information over the phone and all she kept telling me was that my prescriptions probably changed. No duh! I just need some thing so I can see until I can get to the eye doctor! I will never ever use this place again! They need to learn how to treat their customers with kindness and compassion,

Possibly the worst experience I have ever had I was treated as if I was born yesterday and I am 72 years old. They told me that’s your phone system was out and asked me how come I did not know that. When I called I received an operator and did not know they were not connected to the store I paid over $600 plus the exam for my glasses. At this point I just cancel the whole order but of course they kept him out for the eye exam even though it was worthless

Worst service ever. Customer service & the automated line is even more useless. Cant get a LIVE person...I should NOT have to drive in to make an appt or see the status of my Eyewear orders.
Service was ok when I went there in July. Have to make an appointment online which is fine. Got an email before my appointment that tells me to call them to get a passcode for my appointment. Waited for 40 minutes then gave up. Drove over 45 minutes to get to my appointment. They told me their phones were down. Explains why they hadnt answered when I called. But, shouldnt send out emails for us to call,if we can not get a hold of anyone. Send out an email just so your customers can waste their time? The service in the actual building is alright. Its now September, 2 months later and their phone services must STILL be down. Ive tried to call to get a copy of my prescription and no one answers. The automated systems says that you can get a copy of your prescription online, but when you do as it says (go to their FAQs) it says you have to call them to get a copy of your prescription. Im going to be FORCED to drive over 45 minutes there again just to get a copy of my prescription. 2 months and still no phones? What are you guys doing?
I made an online appointment for July 4. I made the appointment in early June. At 4:58 on July 3rd, someone called to tell me they were not open on July 4. I tried to call back to reschedule, and cant get through. Why did it take a month to let me know you would be closed that day. Now I cant get through on the phone to reschedule. Your customer service standards suck.
I waited over an hour for a follow up appointment to tell me that my contacts fit okay. Then when I was leaving I wanted a copy of my contacts and glasses script, but they only had my contacts available at the time. I took that and left since I was running behind after such a long wait. I tried calling them the next day to see if they had my glasses script and I could come pick it up, but nobody answered the phone. How do you run a business without answering your phones? Fifteen minutes on hold, and I know there are at least 6 people working at a time, someone could be answering the phones.
I will never ever be back to this place again! The worst customer service ever. I cant get through to them on the phone. On hold for hours! And their replies in all of the other SAME complaints are the same pat answer. For months of complaints and they still havent fixed the problem. I work for the county where we have hundreds of employees using this place. I hope every single one of them ditch it. My appointment is tomorrow. They will not see me.

There is no way to contact them, they do not answer the phone. I used live chat online to put a request in for a call from anyone, and not a single call back. Simply disgusted, lack of respect on their end. I dont know how they expect to keep clients if they will not answer the phone or give anyone a way to contact them. Hello some people can not drive to them without their glasses like myself so what stay home and be blind?
I just had trouble with my frames and walked in with my issue. I must say that I have never experienced such amazing customer service. I left the store 100% satisfied. Thank you!
Tried twice calling them Monday and Wednesday. Nobody answered phone after 1 hr waiting. Website appointment is a joke.
Service was excellent. Linda spent as much time as needed with my husband and myself deciding the type of lenses and frames that would best suit our needs. She was patient and thoroughly helpful. Pricing was favorable as well. I will highly recommend to my friends.
The Visionworks Poughkeepsie Store and particularly Brigit is amazing! Brigit has helped both my children get the correct lenses and glasses and I completely trust her expertise and knowledge. She is friendly and very helpful and clearly knows and understands the various particular needs of various vision needs. I trust Brigit and specifically ask for her when I go to the store. Thank you Brigit and your team for all of your help and your continued help as my childrens prescriptions needs change.

I usually dont do reviews but I must tell you that Alyssa was extraordinary during my visit. Please recognize this and maybe buy her nice lunch. She is definitely a keeper!
Love the staff. Very friendly. LOVE the new doctor. Dr. Rescigno!! She explained things and found a diagnosis that she seen in my chart that I had no idea about.

Was in today with a script from my doctor. Every staff member that assisted me was attentive and super friendly. Never have a negative experience at this location. Thumbs up!
I had such a wonderful experience at Visionworks in Poughkeepsie on Thursday! From Dr. Rescignos sense of humor and explaining everything very clearly to Kelly helping me select a new frame that my wife absolutely loves! I highly recommend that store!
All the people working there were extremely nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. Plus i left with some really nice glasses
Very helpful with making my glasses tighter but I wanted to get an appointment and she said they are booked until like a month later. That’s outrageous to me.

Despite the fact that it was our second time there and I have great insurance the first time was great the front desk ladies were helpful and so was the rest of the staff. We went a second time for two more pairs the staff once again was friendly but then we were appointed to our seats a man walked into the place afterwards and he was appointed to his seat after us once the lady with the blonde hair finished with her clients she knew we were there first completely overlooked us and served the man before us. Mind you we are black and the man was white. We felt DISAPPOINTED and dealt with racism. Even though the have black employes it was wrong.

I had a great experience at the visionworks Poughkeepsie location. The staff members were friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure that I was happy with my eyewear! I would highly recommend them for your eye care needs!
I have been on hold for the last 2 hours on the phone to cancel my appointment for Thurs. 6/25 2pm. I am very disappointed that no one is answering the phones. I am going to look into going somewhere else to have my exam and glasses.

Got script wrong. did not offer dicount for the inconvenience. No attempt to remedy over the phone, Refused to overnight correct lenses to house. Had to drive there twice and make unnecessary visit to eye doctor because of their mistake.
So what they seem to do is promise you that your glasses or contacts will be available in a few days to get you to pay and then when you call on that day your told they will be 2 weeks before they are ready. If it’s 2 wks then it’s 2wks but to be lied to is the worst type of business practice I have seen
If you are in need of contacts and your script is up. Dont go here! Went in for my exam, they didnt have my trail contacts in stock, and would not release my script without me trying the contacts for a week first.. Im 29 my script has not changed in years and this is not my first time wearing contacts. I now have to wait till they get the trails in ( a week) then I have to drive back down there to TRY them on. Make ANOTHER appointment in a week after for ANOTHER exam! Then HOPEFULLY the doctor will release the script. I will never go here again.. Never had a problem with walmarts eye care and I should have just stayed with them. This place was just 20 minutes closer.. Lesson learned.. Will not be buying anything for them.

Would rate it no stars if i could.. like kim said they will charge you for the contacts but wont give them to u till u wear a trial pair for a week and go back for a fallow up.the dr is a smug little man. And the staff are rude and nasty.. the whole time dealing with them they treated me like a pice of garbage. After asking for a refund, i asked for my prescription so i could get my contacts els where and they refused to give it to me. Saying that because i dident where trials for a week and come back for a fallow up that the exam was not complete, therefore the script was not valid. A bunch of scam artist. Worst service, worst dr. Worst policys.

Empire Vision Works is an vision care establishment I have been going to for years. They changed names once or twice, a doctor, or two has come and gone, but they have always worked with me to help me obtain glasses, contact and an eye check up.
