The high ratings are true! I trust this shop and feel good going here. Like the other reviewers, I have to say Miguel is a gem and an absolute delight to deal with. He is honest, very knowledgeable, and even compassionate. He explained everything to me thoroughly. The other associates here are great as well. Ive only had very good experiences with them all. I am so glad I tried this place out, because I dont want to go anywhere else now.

Sent my car in for a alignment and to my surprise the alignment was done in a bout 15 min, I didn’t receive any papers showing me what job was done just a receipt for my payment of $120. The same day my car was pulling to the left more than ever so I took my car to another place to check if my alignment was ok and it wasn’t. Monroe basically charged me for an alignment that was never done because the second time around it certainly took more than 15 min to get my cars wheels the proper alignment. Next customer that hears the printers are down so we can’t show you the degrees of your alignment, just do yourself a favor and don’t get scammed like I did.

I work out of town and I’m not always that lucky when finding auto repair places. If you are looking for honesty in an auto repair shop this is your place.. I was told the caliper still worked but it was badly worn and the other side was alright.No one has ever told me “ alright” what an unexpected surprise.I had him do what he thought was best and he did.Trust is huge, especially in hard times, he could have taken me totally down the River and back again.. very fair, honest, and I trust the guy .Keep it up you rate well nationally in my book

Got my emissions test done here a year ago and got stellar performance. Came in for a check up and oil change and received great service once again. Brandon took the time to talk to me and show me certain issues I had some concerns about and he set me up with another appointment to get it all sorted out. Great staff, great service.

Worst experience I just had after talking to the employee and manager. I called looking for tires for my jeep. Pretty simple request and they were so dumb founded on the tire size I gave them being the tires are 35/12.50r17. This is an average size for most Jeep Wranglers.

I got a lot of things done in the shop today to prep for the winter. Major ones are replacing the rear tires, brake pads and motors. Miguel is very professional. Made an appointment for a state inspection and ended up getting there very late, Miguel was quite accommodating and manages to squeeze me in... much appreciated since i was on my last day for doing so.

Very disappointed with this place. I recently went to get an oil change after scheduling it with this location. Unfortunately I never got to get the oil change. The individual working the front desk told me that they could not change my oil because the dealership had some kind of special oil and fluids that they didnt carry. Frustrated with this, I called the dealership and explained what happened and they said we never heard of such a thing. Even after going to the dealership to get the oil change done there, they STILL had no idea about this special oil and fluids.Seems like the employees here enjoy turning away customers because they either dont want to work or is just too close to closing time. I wonder if the owner knows that his/her employees are literally turning away money/customers?I wont be coming to this location again. Is one thing if my car had a legitimate reason not to be serviced (cant think of one) but to make up some special oil and fluids story? Come on...

I started working in Providence in 2014 a few blocks from this Monro location. I started with oil changes and then progressed to larger services. Brakes, mufflers tires...everything.When you find a great mechanic that is efficient, honest and communicates with you it is invaluable. Miguel runs this shop and is definitely the reason I keep returning.My experiences are too numerous to review them all. But all of my services here have been quality. If you are in the area and need your car serviced you will be satisfied at this location.

Apoiment at 11 oclock. arived erlier than that and waited 30 min . It was freezing in that place. Got up and ask the manager about the situation and then they start to work on my car . Not happy at all. Next time will rather go to another place for an inspection.

Ive had mixed experiences at different Monro locations (and of course repair shops in general), but I can attest that this is one of the few good ones. The store manager Miguel is so pleasant, genuine, honest, and kind --- an incredibly rare combination to find in this field, especially as a female customer. I noticed two other customer interactions during my visit and was impressed at his patience and humility in explaining basic mechanics without any hint of judgement. I cant speak to anyone else on the staff, but my guess is if hes on duty, youll be taken care of.

Blown out tire on out way to NJ stopped by this place and Miguel had a new tire on my car and had us back on our way before we could make ourselves at home. No complaints here. 👍

I had a flat tire and didnt have the key to unlock the spare on the back. They told me to come back in a few hours and when I returned they had the tired replaced with the spare- they were able to get it off! Best part was no charge! (I left a nice tip).

Miguel and the crew do any amazing job. Theyre prompt, very reasonable and very personable. As everyone knows, getting work done on your car can be often be a pain, costly and filled with uncertainty. From the moment I walked in they made me feel extremely comfortable and I trusted that they were making recommendations and doing all of the service in my best interest without making me pay for things I didnt necessarily need. I had a wonderful and seamless experience getting my oil changed at Monro. Miguel helped me deftly choose the right oil for my vehicle and made me aware of a special, which made everything much more affordable. He was very professional and knowledgable regarding my particular vehicle. He was able to reset some dashboard lights at no additional cost that had been intermittently malfunctioning for the last several years--the dealer for my brand said it would cost hundreds of dollars for a similar service. Furthermore, he performed an out-of-state emissions test that was hassle free...And most importantly, all of these services were provided in about half an hour!! Ill definitely be coming here for future service!

Traveling through Providence on a trip north, and needed my oil changed quickly to get back on the road. Miguel was the only one in the shop, but he took care of my car right away! Fast and friendly service.

Went to this place because of vibrations during breaking. I called and Evan gave me a first appointment to inspect my car within a few days. He told me my lower control arms were worn out and it would get worse over time. Depending on how long I am planning to keep the car I should think about just living with it, or getting it repaired. A statement which you dont hear often (in a positive way). He gave me a first estimate which was way over what I was able to pay. Evan gave me also the option to check if I could get the parts cheaper - I did! That being said, he repaired it with the parts I got and charged me a very fair amount for labor.Overall I had a great experience here, costumer service was great. I just deducted one star because his suppliers are overpriced, at least for Volvo parts. Would come again!

Didnt take long to complete the service, which was great since I dropped it off during a peek time (5pm). Great service and affordable. Cheaper than all the other places I had previously gone to (Pep Boys, Jiffy Lube ect). Definitely going to have my car serviced here going forward. Highly recommend!

I had an issue with the battery in my car, so I set an appointment up at Monro. My family is a true Monro family, we’ve always trusted the brand and have used their services in both New York as well as Rhode Island. Naturally, I had a hell of a time getting my car going to even get to my appointment which made me 10 minutes late. I called ahead and Miguel, the store manager, answered my call and completely made me feel at ease for as anxious as I was that I may miss my appointment. He took me in when I got there, and never once made me feel bad about what would have been an inconvenience to himself and his team. Miguel truly embodies why myself and my family love Monro. The expertise is there which of course you want, but he is also just plain lovely. He explained the process of fixing my car and what was wrong to me in terms I could understand as well as made me laugh multiple times while I was there. He fixed my battery issue in less than an hour! He’s a gem for the franchise Monro and Carpenter St. store and I will continue to be a repeat customer for life!

I started going here because of an on line coupon for a 15 dollar oil change...and that I live close also!! Anyways I was early for my appointment but they took me right in and inspected the whole car! Didnt try to sell me anything at all!! Desk personel and mechanic were very friendly. I have recieved more coupons from them in the mail. 2 for 10 buck oil changes and a 15 dollar one. You cant do it yourself for cheaper and mess and labor. Highly recommend

I took my Mercedes CLS in for a brake inspection and repair. Miguel was very helpful and attentative. Has great connection with other aftermarket parts company and the rotor delivery was on time. The whole process was efficient and price is much lower than other dealer quotes. Evans has great experience with MB and walked me through the problem with good patience. Overall a very satisfactory experience and will come here for regular service.

Great service. Helped me out on the spot during snow storm. My car was damaged by snow and ice and I had to get off the highway. It was an easy fix once the car was on the lift.
