Dr. Sonia Kaur was able to see me the same day I called in regarding a possible eye infection/ inflammation due to contact lens misuse/ irritation. She was able to examine my eyes and prescribe me eye drops that have helped me heal thus far. She also was able to recommend over-the-counter eye drops for additional relief. I am grateful to her and her team for seeing me on such short notice and will be seeing them for my regular exams.
The appointment started off with a lie about my insurance and went south until I walked out. The Doctors may very well be top notch, but the people at the front desk are in need of serious help.
Dr. Flaherty and the entire staff at Kosnoski Eye Care Puyallup are simply the best. Our first visit for my ten year old son was absolutely wonderful. The front desk staff, doctor, doctors assistant, and optician were all caring, patient, informative, and personable. The outstanding level of service we received today can be difficult to find, so we are very excited to have established care here.
If I could rate this office woth zero stars I would. If all you need is glasses than all in all outside of a rude receptionist but will likely be fine. If you have an ACTUAL MEDICAL ISSUE AND NEED MORE EXTENSIVE TESTING OUTSIDE BASIC VISION DO NOT COME HERE. I have a rare disease that requires regular monitoring of my optic nerve and optic disc. I have constant floater, visual snow and visual field loss. When trying to get an appointment (since my insurance changed) I needed to see someone quickly who was well versed with my disease and that could do specific testing. When calling down the list they were overly confident on the phone. But when I show up for my exam they only have a comprehensive eye exam... I dont need glasses.. I have glasses... What i needed was testing for my neurologist to be able to handle my care and make needed adjustments. Instead the receptionist just kept saying you talk to the doctor about anything extra. Tried to charge me $30 for an eye test that my regular disease requires and is covered by my insurance. When I mentioned this again to the tech she said well we dont know you so we need a baseline first and then decide if i need additional testing. Questioning my neurologist. Than blamed me that I didnt bring my medical record but they hadnt asked me to when i made the appointment. Again i was very clear on the phone setting up this visit. They told me all I needed to bring was my insurance card my doctors fax number and my current glasses. So now, im to blame that they fully misinformed me. I took off work because the office was 45min to an hour away. Only to be treated poorly and blamed for their misleading and misinformation. So here I am. Back at square one as they told me they could scan my optic nerves but wouldnt be able to do a visual field test or VS testing. The worst part wasnt just how unprepared they were for a true medical patient but there horrific customer service and patient blaming. Literally THE WORST eye doctor id been too since I was 15 and the most uneducated and careless doctors and staff Id seen since moving to Western washington. Ive seen 4.. The others were fine. Well versed in my disease. Friendly and caring. This office has ZERO CARE in the HEALTH CARE they provide. Please. Dont waste your time. Money or energy on such an uneducated eye doctor.
Ive been going to both the Kent and Puyallup locations and have found the staff to be extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. Pay no attention to the whiners complaining over the fact that the staff is trying to keep everyone safe; bandanas dont exceed the safety bar for everyone and I prefer that they like to err on the side of caution. Based on the long-term effects after catching this, I dont want to catch it, PERIOD. Please stay safe; this staff is AWESOME and this place ROCKS!!!
I just watched the manager bounce her car door off of mine👌 Hope there arent any dents.
Just saw a video posted where the office personnel, who called herself a manager, denied a customer their already scheduled appointment because of the type of mask that was worn? The customer had a bandana on and this company did not appear to have any signs up specifying which type of masks were acceptable and non acceptable. And according to this customer, she had previously worn the same bandana mask at a prior appointment and nothing was said. But the most damming part is the office personnel allowed several other patients in with bandana masks and homemade cloth masks, but wouldnt let this particular customer in....During the duration of the video, only 1 client showed up with a surgical mask. Why the double standard? The office personel in this incident was extremely arrogent and honestly 1.Needs more customer service training or 2. Should be fired
This place is horrible! We have been ordering glasses here for years and the customer service just gets worse and worse. I know exactly what all the reviews mean by lack of customer service. There is this one lady (who orders glasses), she is just incredibly rude and I cannot believe she still has a job. Were definitely switching- they arent the only optical place around.
Went to get my check up back in Dec around the 5th and ordered 2 pair of glasses and only one pair came in. My second pair still has not arrived nor has anyone called to inform me of what is going on. The people working there are really nice, the Dr. was nice but very disappointed in the lack of service on getting my second pair of glasses that were ordered.
Would not recommend this place. I just watched a Video of the Manager denying a womans appointment because she had an issue with the type of mask she wore. These type of people are divisive in a time when people are just trying to get through life with all these new rules.
Absolutely the best eye doctor experience I’ve ever had! Millie, Sarah, and Dr. Kaur were so incredibly nice and so fun to talk to. They made the whole experience was unlike any other! 10/10 would recommend — everyone should go to them!
These ladies were all amazing!!! Each department I.e front desk, doctor, doctors assistant, the fitting department etc. we were blown away by them! Best customer service I have had in years! Thank you again for caring for me and my family.
Don’t go there! Uneducated people that don’t know customer service, especially the manager!!
I was nervous to switch eye doctors. But, from my first appointment call through my entire visit I was pleased.Exceptional customer service from all staff! The physician took her time to listen and give suggestions, I felt very comfortable and relaxed.Picking out frames, well fort me, this is never easy, but the technician was professional and honest if they didnt look good😊 Im excited to pick up my new look!!Thank you Kosnoski Eye Care for making me feel welcomed and valued.
It did take almost 8 weeks to get my sons first pair of glasses (high prescription). But other than that, the staff was super friendly and sweet. Dr. Kosnoski is fun and insightful. I do not wear glasses and he helped me understand exactly what my son had. Lovely people, good atmosphere.
The last exam I had they dilated my eyes then told me I was good to go. Problem was I couldn’t see. I also had to get home with no help. I was terrified thought i was going to hit someone. I don’t have a lot of free time made my next app almost 2 years later again they want to dilate my eyes or pay $30 to get the same results without dilation. I’ve got to go to work I need to drive and they won’t do any exam without it. Needless to say I walked out and found a Dr who will examine me with out dilating my eyes. They will schedule me a specific appointment for such a cause. I look forward to never having that stress again. Good bye Kinoski and you might want to let your client know ahead of time when your going to do such procedure when they are driving themselves.
Dr. Kosnoskii and his staff are amazing. I had some real eye issues a few years ago and he went above and beyond to help me find a solution. I have since had a few additional issues with my eyes and he is always so helpful and making me feel like we will get through it. They also have this machine now that you no longer have to get your eyes dilated and its amazing. Very cutting edge. Would recommend to anyone needing an eye doctor.
Jami was super nice and helpful. She tried her hardest to accommodate our specific needs and even though she was unsuccessful, her efforts left us in great spirits leaving the store. I would suggest a visit to Kosnoski Eye Care based on Jami alone.Aside from Jami, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The building is kind of tucked away. The parking is very minimal. The location is very populated so you’re bound to encounter a steady stream of traffic while in route. Also they close the whole office for lunch, which I find counterproductive. The main reason I wouldn’t suggest this location: the receptionist. I didn’t catch her name but she was extremely rude. She didn’t greet us upon entrance, only when we were directly in front of her waiting for some type of cue. When asked a question she responded rudely by saying what we wanted goes against how things “actually work”. Hmmmm... if that’s the case why did Jami, who actually knew what she was talking about, take a valuable amount of time to try and accommodate our need? Sadly, customer service is an endangered concept, due to people like this receptionist. She should remember that she is blessed to have a job and that her place of business is one of many options available to the public that she so rudely interacts with. Maybe she needs a refresher on customer service, or perhaps a new job.
So so nice and helpful. Never had an eye exam before and they talked me through everything, very informative and such nice people there. My insurance doesn’t cover the cost of glasses there so without even asking they offered me another company to go to that would accept my insurance on glasses. Such nice people! Will be back for annual/bi annual exams
My family appt was 845, they called and asked if we could come in at 815. But didnt even get in until 840. What a waste of my time. My family and have been come here for years but this will be the lasted time.
Seamless experience. It was very efficient, seamless process! The ladies are incredible.
Every single staff member that we interacted with were amazing!! We have DSHS/Molina and are used to being treated as less than, but here we were not!! We were having tricky readings and the doctor and assistant went above and beyond to get a proper prescription. This was an amazing office and so glad we tried somewhere new!!
Been going here for a few years now and have always received the best service especially the receptionist.
Great optometry service. Whole family goes here, and we have always received the best service. Love that they have the latest eyecare technology (machines that can see inside your entire eye without dilation. Very helpful, especially for my wife, who has had a branch retinal vein occlusion in the past. Kosnoski was the one who discovered the BRVO, after my wife was blown off my another local optometrist.)
Kosnoski Eye Care in PuyallupProfessional, caring & friendly. Weve been going there for at least 5 years for all our eye care needs. Highly recommend.
Everyone @ the Puyallup office was as friendly as family.Very knowledgeable & thorough with my appointment & I am confident that I received the best possible attention & care that I needed to complete the necessary venues to achieve as good of eye care as can be obtainedThank you for a very enjoyable experience undergoing this appointment.
This place is terrible. The doctor kept going on about retinal detachment. Every other sentence out of her mouth was about it. I went back for my trials and got a different doctor than the one I had seen. She had an attitude and didnt care that I couldnt see with the new contacts ordered for me. They wasted 4 hours of my time only for me to get a second opinion and find out that the prescription was way too strong and thats why I couldnt see! I am so incredibly glad that I went to a new doctor.
I saw Jessica Hontz for an eye exam . The first prescription she gave me was wrong and I was having trouble seeing out of my left eye. I paid to not have my eyes dilated, and have the digital exam instead for the first visit . I went a second time and reported that I was having trouble seeing and so the Dr. Put a few lenses in front of my eye and told me that I needed a lower power . So I left and could see even worse out of my left eye . I came back a THIRD time !! and she dilated my eyes . she checked them again, and gave me a new prescription that was a whole power different and she said that I had a stigmatism . I still couldnt see out of my left eye properly and was having trouble reading . I went to a different eye doctor and they gave me the correct prescription on the first try ! I dont need a stigmatism lens and all three of jessicas prescriptions were wrong . I went back to see if the would at least refund me for having to pay for the digital rentina exam and they said NO.
Fantastic service: professional, courteous, comprehensive. Strongly recommend!
The doctor was pleasant, however, the receptionist was not. Also, they are only open monday-friday 8am-5pm, so if you work an office job, this is not the place you want to go to, unless that is, if you intend on taking time off work for your exam and to pick up your perscription.Although this place is decent, I do not believe I will be going back there to get contacts later this year. Their hours are just too inconvenient for me, and they are too unwilling to work with me on this.
Great Experience with Sarah!
Great customer service!!!
It took them 3 months to tell me the glasses I ordered for my child were discontinued then I go to order new ones and they are supposed to be open but the door is lock and they cant open tell after their meeting is over at 11 and thats when they go to lunch! Poor service. I dont recommend this place at all.
