The worst place to replace the windshield.if you care about your car do not go to this place.here are the reasons.The technician left grease stain in the interior.residual from work has not been vacuumed at all.missing clips after the replacementscratched the paintbroken windshield wiper motor (will not work properly)I am afraid they will break more parts if i go back.

Set an appointment but they never ordered the glass. They set up another appointment on site and then called us after the appointment window was over to say that they cant complete the install, it had to be done at the shop because the calibration couldnt be done outside the shop for this car. When its all said and done its been 8 weeks or so and we drive an hour to drop it off and they tell us at the end of the day they dont have the software to calibrate it and we have to take it to a dealership. The glass install seems fine so far but dealing with the rest of it has been less than ideal. Would recommend using local vendors over this particular Safelite!

I understand due to the Covid parts may not be available. The technician told me he called and it would take about a week or two. Almost 2 months later no windshield and no updates from this company. It took me hours to speak to someone and they were some customer service who was not in the office

Scheduling was easy. The technician was prompt. Quality seems good. Unfortunately, they sent no bill for the deductible by snail mail. Sent nothing by email. Sent no text. Provided no online payment option. They left two voicemails and then sent my account to collections just 7 DAYS after service. Apparently receiving a phone call and voicemail is the only notification they provide, and returning a phone call during the busy work day was my only payment option within that idiotically short window of time. Are you kidding me? Never seen anything like it in all my life. That’s no way to do business.

Scheduled an appointment on September 2nd and showed up on September 13th for them to tell me they dont have my window. A simple call or reschedule would have been nice but I received nothing. Still waiting on a call back so I can actually get my windshield fixed. Not happy with this place at all.

Would give five stars if reception was better. I understand it can get busy at times but it shouldnt take 25 minutes standing in line to drop off a vehicle. My waiting I overheard several customers surprised by the 3-hour wait time for replacement. Since I called I had to find out How long to service would take I expected it but it doesnt sound like the customers are being informed of the wait time until they show up for their appointments. Picking up the vehicle was a little quicker. I only waited behind one person but it still took almost 15 minutes for the window person to handle the customer in front of me. They were also surprised about the wait time for windshield replacement. Otherwise it looks like the service was done well and overall the replacement took only about half the time as estimated. They really got to figure out how to get customers received and processed quicker the frustration in the seven person line when I arrived was thick in the atmosphere!

Had a new windshield installed here today (5/27/2021) and noticed a footlong blemish on the windshield that I thought I could wipe off upon returning home. Turns out its a scratch on a brand new windshield. Called and they are putting it through warranty service. Paid $587.67 for the windshield. They said for them to replace it at my house I would still have to pay the mobile fee... I will update this review when it is replaced again, assuming there is no scratch on the new windshield.Update: Windshield has been replaced again, this time it looks good as new without any scratches/defects. Keeping it at 4 our of 5 stars since I had to take time off of work a second time top go to their facility, and SafeLite didnt offer to come to my house for zero additional charge to fix their mistake.

I had my windshield replaced and when I got home I realized that they windshield wiper fluid hose was not reattached. I have tried to call numerous times but I cant get a human being on the phone to schedule a time to come in and have it fixed. When I go through the automated phone tree about concerns with completed service, no one is available and I get hung up on.. I am highly disappointed in the quality of service.

Extremely disappointed with techs work the guy at desk was very polite and helpful the window tech damaged my glass and refused to fix it i wish I went somewhere else because I didnt allow them to up charge me to hook up my heated glass which I thought came with the install they tore out my connection to the glass then soldered it back to the glass instead of admitting and lied about it I cant believe they did this and refused to fix it I brought my own glass in so I opened and checked it before I brought it and repackaged it for the two hour ride to your Raleigh location this is what I got I feel robbed because I paid before I seen the work and nothing was done to fix the issue.

My insurance recommended Safelite for my windshield replacement. A scheduled technician came to my house within the week, on a Saturday, performed the service in under an hour and simply collected my insurance deductible. Professional, clean work with zero mess. Could not have been a better experience.

Took my car for windshield repaired. My car was returned to me with a broken shift gear. I spoke with the manager, Anthony who stated they will fix the gear shift. I called to follow up and talked with another manger who had no clue what was going on because there werent any notes on what happen on my order. I am now waiting for safelite to fix my shift gear that their technician messed up. Ill provide an update......

I called them to figure out what was going on and they apologized and made a new appointment for me and guess what? They didnt show up. I had a very positive experience here. Scheduling the appointment online was easy, my appointment was kept, and everyone was very professional. My rear windshield was broken and they pulled my car inside to ensure that rain wouldnt get inside. The tech also called me and walked me through some potential issues to look out for on some parts in my trunk. I also really enjoyed the snacks and drinks they had available

Heres the deal, we had 2 different vehicles in here in the past 2 months, the first the wifes Jeep Grand Cherokee that the back window exploded on while driving to Wilmington. On that job they did everything right.Next, my 2017 Silverado had a busted rear slider last week. They said arrive at 9:30am which we did promptly. They had several unhappy folks in front of us with various issues. They never stated a pick up time other than said it would be ready by end of day (5pm). We went dinner at 4:45, got a call around 5:30 that the vehicle would be ready soon. I stated wed get it Saturday because we were 30+ minutes away. Arrived at 8:00am Saturday, truck was ready however when I got in it they had left the seats all folded up, things scattered all over, didnt vacuum or clean up at all.The actual installation was great Id just have preferred not to have spent my Saturday cleaning out the back of my truck especially since we have a small dog that rides back there and glass fragments were still there.

A tad bit confusing to find, I relied heavily on my GPS, however everything worked out well. Totally professional service. Waiting room was comfortable with coffee and light snacks. Water and sodas were also available. Prices were acceptable and well within the range one would expect for OEM parts.

I have had a positive experience during each of the three times I dealt with Safelite, in South Carolina in 2018 and 2019, and in North Carolina in 2021. The last time was to replace a windshield because the 2019 repair using resin to patch the tiny crack didn’t keep it from spreading like a snowflake during the winter cold over a year later. There was no charge for the replacement thanks either to my insurance or Safelite’s warranty.The person who handled that call researched my records and insurance coverage and scheduled an appointment for me within the week. There was a question as to which insurance policy applied as I changed companies during the three years. The service rep said he had to research the issue and would call me right back, which he did. All the representatives that I spoke to over the phone and once in a help chat were courteous, helpful and knowledgeable.The three technicians who worked on my car were courteous and professional. Blaine, who did the latest work, went beyond the call to tighten a loose bolt on my windshield wiper. Thank you again, Blaine.Safelite’s text and email confirmations, reminders and follow up notices are timely and helpful. I also appreciate the email alert conveying the name and photo of the technician who would be servicing my car.In my opinion, Safelite makes things easy for its customers and is an example of how a company should operate!

My window replacement looks and functions perfectly fine. The staff was friendly and accommodating with snacks and cold bottled water. They completed the work in a timely manner. The chairs in the lobby were spaced for social distancing. My service included a lifetime warrantee. They went above and beyond by cleaning and detailing my cars interior. The initial service was great! I was able to pick up my car on time and the work was complete. Now the moulding for the windshield is coming loose and does not click into place. I cannot get anyone from Safelite to respond to me regarding this. I just need to get it fixed and since they were the LAST ones to remove it, they should have some idea how to repair this! The que picks up but then hangs up once the message has been read! Disappointed in the follow up customer service!

I would highly express the poor customer service I received. The person at front Desk “Jeff” is a poor representation of the company. I had to escalate my concerns to the Manager “ Melissa” who try fix things but other customers in the lobby watched my experience and was concerned. I would never use this location ever again.

Windshield replacement on my brand new truck was VERY poorly executed, and led to rain water being able to leak through into the inside of the vehicle. Went BACK for a second round of service to allow Safelite to rectify this issue, just to find that the windshield STILL contained a leak! Only positive outcome about this experience is I now know to never use Safelite ever again. Guy at the front desk was very nice though!

My window was struck from rock that was kicked up by another car. The initial break was not bad but then a crack started to form. I should of had the circular break fixed but I waited too long and needed a windshield replacement. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost for as new Toyota 4 Runner windshield. They did a great job and now I have a perfectly clear windshield again!They also went the extra mile to mail me my opener I left behind!

Scheduled an appointment with them April 20th. I immediately started getting confirmation emails and text to tell me what to expect for my May 3rd appointment. Everything seemed like it was being ran professionally. They asked me to get there early so I arrived at 9:45 for my 10:00 appointment I was told that I should drop off my car and come back later because it would be a 2-hour job. I dont have another car and I dont work out of an office so I said I would just stay and wait for my vehicle. I quietly worked in the lounge and around 11:40 I started getting text telling me about my progress. I didnt think much of it until noon and I asked the gentleman at the front desk for an update on my vehicle. I was informed that they had just started on it because the glass just arrived. That is highly unprofessional. This appointment should have been rescheduled. I allotted two hours of my day for this and I did not leave until after 1:30. When I got out to my car the floor mats and door jambs were covered in mud. I know I drive a pickup but it came in clean and it left dirty. Glass was installed properly but everything else was mishandled.Follow up to Safelite response.Okay. That seems to be your standard response. What are you going to do about it? You going to have a long talk with staff and Ill never see it happen again and I will never see another one star review up here? You got my money, you got my insurances money and now I got to go give money to someoe elsel to clean my truck. On top of that because Im in sales I lost money yesterday because of your inaptitude. So youre sorry my wait was long. Next time when your system is sending three emails and four text messages about a pre-scheduled appointment make sure that the product is actually there so you can hold up your part of this little social contract that someone agreed upon with you.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I could not find a phone number anywhere on their website to converse with a person so I used the chat service to attempt to change the location of my appointment to somewhere close by to the original appointment. It was five minutes away but since it was in a different ZIP code, I was told I cannot change the location and would have to reschedule which would result in waiting another week. Since I could not change it, I asked my 19 year old son to meet the service tech at the original time/location. On the morning of the appointment, it was raining so the tech called my son and asked him to meet BEHIND a strip mall. First, this new location was in the same ZIP code as the one I was originally trying to change my appointment to. When it was convenient for me, they would not do it but when it was convenient for them, it was OK. Second, the location was BEHIND a strip mall. Not out front where normal customers go but BEHIND, with the dumpsters and drug dealers. If Safelite cannot complete installations in the rain, the tech should carry a collapsible shelter. Asking a customer to go outside their ZIP code to a sketchy location such as BEHIND a strip mall does not live up to the convenience Safelite brags about. I paid for that convenience and then was inconvenienced as well as putting my son in an awkward situation of meeting someone he has never met before in a sketchy location BEHIND a strip mall. Instead of agreeing to meet the tech BEHIND the strip mall, my son agreed to provide the tech a workplace out of the weather. To do that, he had to completely rearrange my garage, including placing some furniture we are refinishing outside in the rain so the tech would have a suitable place to work. Finally, after completing the installation, the tech put the rearview mirror on the windshield and, in doing so, trapped a piece of fabric from something hanging on the mirror between the mirror and the windshield. Now it is permanently affixed and the mirror is not making full contact with the windshield. I am sure it is only a matter of time before the mirror falls off. The convenience they boast of is not convenient at all. In the future I go to one of the local glass companies that could use the business with a lot less hassle. At least I can meet them in front of their building and have quality work done in their garage instead of making room in mine.

They replaced the rear glass and in the process broke a piece of plastic, tried to super glue it, scratched the paint and left glue of the glass they replaced. *** Changed to three stars since although a mistake was made they made every effort to make it right in the end, thats good business practice.

I had my windshield replaced months ago and filed a warranty report, not on the windshield but on my healiner, after the repair was complete. A week or 2 later someone came out and confirmed the damage, told me it was due to the tech not using gaurds around the windshield while cutting the old on eout. Ling story short, I was approved to be sent a check for $350 to replace the headliner and somehow lost contact with everyone. Matthew Bono was very good at helping before he changed locations and now I have no contacts besides the new manager which i have emailed 3 times in the last 2 months and have yet to get a reply. Oh, and it was supposed to recieve a check 4 5 weeks ago and never did... Mhmmmm I wouldnt do business with these people. Steer clear...

My problem is that I have no idea why he would leave shards of glass all over the ground around my vehicle and inside the vehicle. Scheduled a second windshield install for the same car that had the windshield replaced in May 19. Waited all morning (8-12 window) on a Saturday morning after receiving standard confirmation that technician would be arriving within the time frame. At 12:40, finally called to determine where the technician was. Customer service needed to call me back to inform me that the technician had a personal emergency and wouldnt be installing that day. Safelite didnt call me--I had to call them! So my insurance scheduled with another company--who determined (thinking they had brought the wrong windshield as it didnt match what they were replacing) that the wrong windshield had been installed in my OEM installation in May, and the glass had been broken and was delaminating. After a call, multiple holds, and speaking to 3 different people in the Raleigh Safelite office, I was informed that had they replaced the glass, they would have stood behind their workmanship and replaced it for free. But because I went with another glass company AFTER they failed to show--I was SOL for getting any compensation for what I had already spent in excess of $600 to replace in May. For the wrong windshield!!! Wrong way to provide good customer service Safelite!! And never again will you get my business!!

Appointments are never as expected. Always have to go back, reschedule, or something. People that arrive have to be juggled around as well as there technicians. Drop off time is different than Appointments times. So make sure you find out! Make sure you get phone numbers to place actually working on vehicle.

One side of the chrome trim was apparently bent during the process of removing the windshield. When replaced, it no longer sits flush with windshield or secondary trim (unlike the other side of vehicle). In addition, a significant amount of black residue was visible up and down the length of the chrome trim on both sides of the vehicle. Used Safelite years ago with no issues. After spending more than $450, I expect, at minimum, no damage to the vehicle. Contacted customer service immediately after technician left; was told that the Raleigh manager would call and rectify by the next day - 24 hours later, no call and all efforts to reach a live person at Raleigh location are for naught. Do not recommend Raleigh Safelite AutoGlass.

Took my car there to repair a small circular break to prevent it from spreading and having to replace my windshield. When they gave it back to me there were 2 additional linear cracks that the tech guy said was caused by him filling in the original crack. He said he filled in the linear cracks as well so “hopefully” it won’t spread. Before I got home there was an additional long linear crack that started and was spreading quickly. I take it back to Safelite and they said “well I guess you’re the 5% chance it don’t work” and there was nothing they could do about it. I understand they can’t guarantee it would work 100% but to not even offer to help fix it or offer a discount to have it replaced when THEY made it worse in the first place! I will NOT be referring anyone to go there.

I made an appointmentment earlier in the week. The receptionist said that the earliest appointment would be on Friday between 12 and 5. I agreed and awaited the technician to arrive. So on the day of the appointment the technician is situated at the end of my driveway, I walk to where he is and as he rolls down the window he asks, Is this the right place? Yes, this is the right place, I respond. Pull the truck down to me. I comply. Finally, when I await this person to begin the service, I am greeted with further bad news. I have the wrong windshield. Is this a special edidition? Did you know that your truck has a camera on it? I then proceed to ask how soon can he go back to the shop and retrieve the correct part. Ill have to order it and it probably wont be available until next week, and I will probably have to install it then. I proceed to inform Roderick that I dont have the luxury of awaiting 10 days to have a service completed which should have taken 2 hours. Please hear with amazement hos response. Its not my fault, its their fault. They should have known that this is a limited edition truck. Then Roderick proceeded to return to his truck and he summarily drove away. I then proceed to call the office where my work order was generated and I I await 35 minutes to speak with a human. Eventually after another 30 minutes of banter, I am told Dr. McDowell, Ill check with your insurance provider, but it will still take until next week before you get your windshield repaired. I am utterly confused with the way that I was just being treated. I cant in good conscience recommend this place of business. This is poorness personified. Good luck with these guys.

Superb experience. I showed up early today for an appointment with a suit, tie and computer. They explained I was early but a tech would be right with me. They offered me snacks and beverages immediately and I was treated with graciousness. The tech greeted me a few minutes later, examined my car, and asked if I needed a table and chair while I waited so I could work. I accepted with high gratitude. An hour later, my windshield replacement was completed and I was on my way. Thanks to an amazing team! I’m loyal

My Technician Gerard was amazing. He checked in prior to arrival and made sure the correct part was in hand. I had the Window Motor on my 2007 Ford F-150 replaced. This guy knew his stuff.I watched hours of You-tube Videos to see if I could do it myself. Total Rip Off. I have used Safelite in the past and they were always great, not this time......Scheduled Safelite mobile service for a small chip and 1 inch crack repair, first available appointment was 2 weeks later!! After 1 week the crack got longer and now exceeded the 10 inch limit for repair. I called them to let them know that now the repair turned into a replacement, and all of the sudden they have an appointment for the next day. I think their business model is: If we push appointments out long enough the repairs will turn into replacements and we can charge more. I cancelled my appointment and took my business elsewhere which turned out to be exactly $220 cheaper with next day mobile service.

Worst experience. They charge you a mobile fee, which I don’t care about the price. Ask me to pick a time slot, and nobodies show up? Not even a call to see if someone showed up. I called, and they advise me that the worker was changed. You think they apologize; no, they act like it was normal. Don’t run a business that has set times if you can’t honor them. I would gave 5 stars overall but one technician has issues communicate with the deaf customer and not really nice person or patient in one technician not as whole store. They are really good to work with me and fix my issues because its not my fault for being deaf. I wish I could remember my specific technician and receptionist, because they both were amazing. The price was what I was expecting, the service was very quick. The front desk/ receptionist saw me working on my laptop in the lobby and offered to let me use their workroom in the back so that I would be more comfortable. I highly recommend this place and hope I never NEED them again, but if I do, Ill definitely be happy to go back to them.

I would give negative stars if I could, tech came out named Jamie replaced the glass in a truck, left Glass on the ground and caused two of my other trucks to blow out tires, after calling them directly, their Service Manger Matt said they dont pick up Glass off the ground and their vacuums are not capable of picking up the glass and would not cover damages, EXTREMITY dissatisfied would not pay for damages and offered to come out and glass up glass after I already had done so, WHY Couldnt the tech clean up the glass after he told me they dont clean up glass on the ground, so you leave it? replacing windshields in suppose to be their specialty. Unbelievable, SHOP ELSEWHERE!

Phenomenal customer service and precise service! Jason was my technician and took care of everything and provided a perfect replacement of my windshield. Matt the store manager even took the time to speak with me afterwards and it was clear his example helps the cohesiveness of his store. The front desk man, Jeff (I think) was the sweetest man! The wait to replace my windshield was a bit longer than I had originally been told but it was alright due to them having snacks and a variety of drinks. Jeff kept checking up on me to make sure I was doing alright. I hope I don’t have to get my windshield replaced again but if I do I’ll come back here.

My first experience was great. They came on time and provided great service. The second time though has been very disappointing. I cancelled my Saturday afternoon plans for my appointment, and nobody ever showed up, nor did anyone contact me to say they were no longer coming. I called during store hours to see what was going on, and I got an automatic message that the store was closed. What kind of customer service is this?

I filed a claim with my insurance company on 12/29/18 with an appointment at Safelite on 12/31/18. My expectation was that they could either repair or replace the windshield to my vehicle. The technician advised me that they wouldn’t be able to replace the windshield that day because they didn’t have the part in stock. What’s more they further inferred that they were booked up such that they wouldn’t have time to do the repair even if it were in stock. They subsequently told me that they’d need to reschedule my appointment for another day. Their first available appointment was on 1/2/18 for mobile service between the hours of 12 - 5P. I took the day off so as to have the repair done only for the technician to tell me that he didn’t have the correct windshield upon arrival. He stated that he would order it and reschedule the repair for another day. I looked online only to find that their next available appointment wasn’t until 1/8/18. I subsequently contacted the shop directly and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with Anthony. I explained my degree of frustration with Safelite as it shouldn’t take three trips to do a simple install. What’s more I shouldn’t have to continue taking time off of work to facilitate it. I further explained that it was unacceptable to wait almost another week for the repair. Anthony offered no apologies for the inconveniences whatsoever. He did however state that they could have me come in on 1/3/18 for the repair. He then retracted his statement of scheduling it as he asked me if they even had the part. I retorted, “I have no idea at all.” I mean how in the world would I as the customer have any knowledge of their inventory levels? He checked the status of my claim thereafter to find that the part was in route but hadn’t yet been delivered. He then offered to call me back to reschedule the appointment upon finding out when the windshield would be delivered. I contacted my insurance company and made a report of my experience with Safelite. What’s more, I asked them to cancel the claim with them and to instead transfer it to another one of their preferred vendors as I’ve lost all faith and trust in Safelite. Please do yourself a favor and avoid them unless you want to waste your precious time.

Being in the service industry myself, I understand that customers are more prone to take the time to write a bad review than a good one. With that being the case, I felt the need to give credit where credit is due. My personal experience with Safelite was awesome. I scheduled an appointment early this morning through my insurance provider, Geico. Safelite responded right away letting me know that they would be out the same day. Within a few minutes the technician assigned to my service ticket called me to let me know that he may be running a bit behind schedule as he had a busy day ahead of him. I let him know that it was not an issue, as I have to make this same dreadful call occasionally to my customers. Robert arrived after typical business hours with the same level of professionalism as I imagine he has on his first call of the day. Despite it being after hours and taking away from his personal time with his family, he worked diligently to make sure the job was done right. My old windshield was a little challenging to remove, but he certainly didn’t allow it to change his attitude or devotion to the task at hand. Not a single mess was left at my house or in my vehicle. I can’t speak for the rest of the company but Robert certainly is an exemplary example of what customer service should be. Job well done!

Excellent experience. It was easy to set up an appointment online. I received an email informing me of my appointment time along with a picture of the technician. Tanner called the morning of to give me a time frame of when he’d arrive to my home and also called when he was on the way. He was kind, professional, thorough, and time efficient. Attention never bring your car to repair it to Safelite are very irresponsible your bring to repair your windshield and when you return you find it broken and they tell you how sorry accidents happen and you have to pay a new windshield.the technicians who have learn to work in your car so avoid bringing your car to Safelite and you avoid many headaches and save money and time.
