If I could I would give 10 stars I purchased a car from Carvana a couple of years ago and that transaction went smoothly. So I decided to give it another try only this time I needed to sale my car. This transaction went even better I sold them my car not hassle they paid my current car off gave me top dollar and even extra cash in my hand. I would say dont believe all the negative reviews you hear about them until you deal with them yourselves. I would totally recommend anyone who needs to buy a car or even sale one. Thanks Carvana love doing business with you guys!!!

They do not stand by their cars we have one that has been broke down after 12 miles three months ago and they keep making excuses about coming to pick it up. Its even still on the website. I highly suggest you look elsewhere for a car. Literally anywhere else will have better service.

Two Cars, 2 Carvana FailuresRecently decided the family needs a Wrangler. Carvana in Raleigh had a 2017 Sahara that “fit the bill.” The reservation and sales process went well enough; the trouble began at delivery. First thing I noticed when car was unloaded was that the spare tire was held in place by a locking lug nut. Great, but where’s the key? Carvana didn’t have it and I refused delivery. 6 hours later the Carvana Delivery man brought the Jeep back to me – problem solved. The following morning, I took the Jeep to my local mechanic who found both wiper blades split and was unable to inspect the right rear brakes because the right rear wheel couldn’t be removed – frozen lug nut; the stud just spun in place. I returned the car to Carvana wondering how their “thorough” 150-point inspection could’ve missed 3 important, basic, and obvious items.A week later Carvana had a 2018 Wrangler and I figured everyone deserves 2nd chance. Scheduled delivery for 4/23/21. 10 days ahead of time (4/14) I contacted Carvana to discuss logistics. I told them I was out of town but would upload a copy of the cashier’s check and proof of insurance by 4/16. I also thoroughly discussed the fact that my insurance policy auto-renews every 6 months, so my proof of insurance would expire on 5/22 (30 days post-delivery) and that I would provide the renewed policy info 5/22. I was placed on hold for several minutes, then Carvana Agent “A*****” returned and told me that would be fine. Two days later, on 4/16 I received notice from Carvana that 30 days insurance was not acceptable. I told Carvana Agent “M******” that I had spoken with her colleague just 2 days earlier and this had been worked out. I was placed on hold for several minutes and was then told I must provide proof of 45 days insurance within 24 hours or the sale would be cancelled. I reminded her it was after hours on Friday and that I would not be able to resolve this with my insurance company until Monday morning. She apologized but said it would not be possible to hold the car until Monday. Had I been told all this by Carvana Agent A***** two days earlier, I could have resolved the issue.Conclusion: Botched car inspections and misinformed Carvana employees. I will still buy a Jeep, and for $9000 more than the Carvana price I can by a brand-new model in the exact configuration I desire. Best yet, I will work with a real auto dealer in a face to face and professional manner.

Horrible experience. Dont be fooled by the nice staff. They dropped the car off needing an oil change and no fluids. Also, didnt give me keys for the roof rack for the van. When I returned their car I received mine missing a key. I give them two keys for my trade in and get back one... hmmmmmm. Instead of actually finding my key they hire a company to make me a new one. This has been nothing but a headache. I will never deal with carvana again. I will def tell all my friends and fam about my experience too in hopes that they will not go through what I did. Trust me, there was other stuff wrong but I just dont feel like wasting any more of my time and energy on this company. Please dont use them. Id rather give no stars but I guess Ill give one.

Overall a very mediocre experience. Pricing was weird and ambiguous fluctuating thousands every week both up and down. Once I got the mysterious algorithm to play ball and began entering information it got worse. The site promoted for an image of the back of my passport and then wouldnt accept the cover image. After submitting and scheduling it for worse. The first scheduled time, the pickup paperwork and check had my name wrong. They checked the system where everything was correct. So they had to redo the paperwork and we rescheduled for a week out. During that attempt, the paperwork was corrected but the check still had the wrong spelling of my name. Third time they finally got it all settled.

I will never purchase a car from Carvana. We attempted to buy a car and were called after we were halfway through a 2-hour drive to pick it up and told that we couldnt get it anymore, because the car was knocking when they were loading it onto the trailer for transport. This was after we were told the car had undergone 2 150 point inspections, when we asked how it was now defective the sales rep said Im not sure why this keeps happening. We had already gotten the insurance for the new car and asked that they reimburse the $98 dollars we had paid for the insurance. We were told that they we would be contacted to work out the details and no one ever contacted us again. We got a new car from a family owned local dealer, it was painless and quick. Carvana was the absolute worst experience Ive ever had trying to purchase a vehicle and I have told everyone I know not to use them and will continue to do so.

The Carvana experience was exceptional from start to finish. The initial offer to accepting and closing the sale was only three hours. The website is intuitive and the customer service personnel responded almost immediately with any clarifying information. My date and time for vehicle pick up was set up a week ago and completed today…seamlessly. I will never purchase a vehicle from a dealership as long as Carvana is in business. #carvanaraleigh

I was so excited I found the car that I had been longing for, for years. I started the purchase process and had some hiccups along the way. The customer service advocate I spoke with put a ticket in because I didnt have an option to finance with a third party so that I can pay with a check from my bank. This went on for three days. I called earlier today and they said that they put it as a priority which is what someone should have done previously. Well when I went in tonight, it said that the car was unavailable. They unlocked the car from my purchase and someone is now purchasing it. I mean who does that? I think I am done with Carvana, first and last time. Very upset!!!

False Advertising. Their website claims A rating with the BBB but its a B. They claim to do a 150 point inspection before listing the car but my vehicle was 5 days late because it wouldnt pass inspection due to check engine light (they claim it sat too long) Reviews are bogus, Im unable to review on their website. I purchased a vehicle 4.5 mo ago, out of those months its been in the shop more than 2 months. Its in there now. The problem started after the 7 day return. The vehicle stalls (LOSES ALL POWER) and wont restart for 30 or more minutes. Ive had it towed twice. Its been to their approved repair shop so many times I lost count. The Chrysler dealership had it 3 weeks. No one can find the problem. CARVANAs solution is for me to give them 5000.00 to take/trade it back. Ive already given them 1500 down payment and made 3 payments. Getting ready to make another one. My life was put in danger twice already I cant even drive it. Worst company ever. BUYER BEWARE

Have been trying to schedule delivery for over 2 weeks. They keep changing the date then I can’t get in touch with a real person to discuss the changes. They have poor customer service. Like they no longer need people to make money. My first experience with them was great, that’s why I returned. But it has and still is a nightmare this go around!

Hands down the WORST experience. What an unprofessional company. I reserved an SUV on their site back in March 2021 and after I waited two weeks it was finally ready to purchase. I uploaded all of the required documents and scheduled my delivery for the earliest they could offer, a week away. In anticipation of getting my new vehicle, I sold my car. The day before I expected to get it delivered I was curious as to why I never got a confirmation of any sort so I logged into my account to check, and saw that they cancelled my delivery because one of my documents didnt load accurately. I immediately called them and told them to please reschedule for the same time and date I will resend the document but I need the car. They said unfortunately the earliest they could deliver was a another week out. As a thank you for not cancelling my order they were going to send me a $250 check (They never did). The day before the rescheduled date, I get a text saying to send a selfie of myself holding my drivers licence, front and back, and proof of insurance. They then said they were possibly going to deliver it sooner than 5pm and they will text me first thing in the morning to confirm an earlier time. Attached is the text. I spent 30 minutes waiting for customer service and not one person apologized or expressed any genuine care about how I have been treated. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more to deal with a competent company.

Man I wish I read the reviews here before hand. I assumed this was to be a pretty smooth transaction but, boy was I wrong. Im not sure if they are running some sort of bait and switch scheme or just gross incompetence. I signed the contract and had insurance all ready to go to take delivery in 2 days on a vehicle I purchased last week. Two days before delivery they tell me the car wasnt suppose to be in the system and now I have no vehicle.... Their solution to the problem was to send me other vehicles that were more expensive and higher mileage. Dont fall for their scheme like we did.

Carvana was supposed to deliver my car today at 11AM, I had to go through the whole process with them, they send SMS telling your day is approaching (two weeks ago!!!) and finally the day WAS today. They call the at the same time of our appointment to get the car, saying that they need to check tires and they need to do an inspection, so they are delayed due to the holiday, what a joke!Then they offer me 25 USD, personally is an insult to me, with no commitment date. I told them that was not acceptable to me, so they call their supervisor and came with a GREAT deal to me. They will deliver on Thursday at 11AM and no payment of the 25 USD, I asked for a loaner but they do not have this in their policy.Very bad experience, so far I am thinking not to buy this car and never deal again with Carvana. They have a very bad customer service and they threat their customers with no respect for their time and commitments.

Didn’t even get the chance to sell my car!! I went through the process of trying to sell my 2018 jeep renegade through the app. I got my offer, submitted all the documents needed and was told it would take 1-2 days to verify everything. I submitted everything Sunday May 2nd and it’s still processing. I tried calling but they do not have a direct store line just a customer service # (I waited over an hour for a representative and had to hang up to go to work)I also tried a the number they recommended to reach them (via text) and still NOTHING. Selling a car to a company that buys and sells cars shouldn’t be this hard or frustrating.

For everything to supposedly be so easy, we can’t seem to get the registration figured out. The temp tags are about to expire and now carvana needs copies of all the paperwork they gave us. Don’t they keep copies? They had it inspected. What did you do with the copy? Why do you need all the paperwork again? Lose the file? It hasn’t been easy. A dealership is a pain, but at least we would have a license plate by now.

I was lied to three different times about when my car was at the hub, and when it finally made it to the hub I couldnt pick it up. No explanation for their delays when in fact its legal matters in North Carolina is deciding whether or not to continue business with this company. After finding this out through research instead of their representatives I canceled. There wasnt a single day that went by during my potential transaction that they were truthful and they kept leading me by a string. I will never do business again with carvana.

This has been a fiasco of a buying experience. Never in life would I suggest Carvana to any consumer who values their time and hard earned money. Long story short, Carvana never sent the paper work to my bank, even though I had the car for over a month! My bank never received the documents to finance the loan and because over 30 days elapsed, the entire deal unraveled resulting in me having to have yet another hard credit pull and the inconvenience of starting from scratch. On top of that, the vehicle I received was not as advertised. So I would suggest for anyone to go to a dealership where you can be confident in your paperwork and your purchase!

I would not recommend Carvana based on the experience I recently had with them. I bought a 2016 Nissan Maxima, and on the ninth day, the steering wheel began shaking when Id brake at high speeds. I had to spend $400 on new front brake pads and rotors because that wasnt covered past the seventh day. How was this allowed in the inspection?This was the tipping point for me telling myself and everyone else I know to never waste time buying a car from Carvana. Despite the repetitive brand messaging that Carvana is faster, easier and more trustworthy than dealing with a traditional dealership, I dont believe it was any different.It took one hour for me to even be seen when I went to pick up the vehicle and another hour to slog through the paperwork. Then when I finally got the car, it wasnt cleaned properly. There was jelly in the back seats cup holders and smudges on the leather interior. Due to this, I could only assume it wasnt properly sanitized despite us still being in the middle of a pandemic.On top of this, I watched as another buyer was talked into purchasing a vehicle through Carvanas loan, which I believe is around 8% APR - this is absurd and exactly how traditional dealerships try to hoodwink you. I feel like this older woman was taken advantage of because she didnt know she could go through a bank to get a loan for 3-4% APR. The lack of transparency was appalling simply because Carvanas advertising seemed to always preach trust. Luckily, someone who came with the buyer convinced her to look into a loan with a bank.If the car didnt need immediate repairs then I wouldnt have been compelled to write a review based on the above inconveniences alone. But the Carvana team let me drive off with an unsafe vehicle. There is no way this negligence should be common practice.

I would keep a watchful eye on this company (at least the folks here in Raleigh). I had/have an issue with my radio that was there before I took possession of the car..they fixed it at the Lexus dealership, so they said. 5 months later I have the same issue and there are no records of the fix that they performed with Carvana or at the Lexus dealership who said they never serviced the vehicle.. Something is very fishy with this situation. Beware.

I’ve attempted to sell a vehicle twice to Carvana. The first time they gave me a good offer but they never followed up with the purchase. I took my truck to Capital Ford and they gave me the same trade-In value for my truck and comparing prices on similar vehicles, Capital Ford had much better prices.About a week ago I wanted to see what they would offer me for my new truck and the offer was almost half of market value. I would not recommend Carvana based on my experience. Even if they make you a solid offer on your vehicle you will waste your time trying to get in touch with someone who can make the deal happen.

Bought a 2016 patriot today with 41k miles, vehicle was as shown and drove good on test drive. As I continued to drive home I noticed an obnoxious rattle that sounded like the transmission was going to come apart, I’m a mechanic and I was convinced something internal was grinding. It drove great all the way home besides the terrible noise, once I got home I proceeded to check for a simple fix before I returned it . After 5 mins of searching and one ant nest attack later . I discovered a 10 mm socket laying on the transmission mount. Sure enough that was the issue because as soon as I lifted it off the mount the rattle disappeared. Overall good experience I just wonder how that was not heard by their mechanics. I would purchase from here again. 15 mins online and 10 mins in person and it was all done deal hassle free. Definitely look over the carfax before purchase and a good test drive and you will not be disappointed.

Carvanas financing company, Bridgecrest, is a nightmare!In August, 2018 I purchased an Audi Q5 from Carvana in Raleigh and financed it through their finance company Bridgecrest.In December 2019 I moved from North Carolina to Maryland and registered the vehicle there. In order to register the vehicle in Maryland, the lien holder, Bridgecrest, was required to obtain the title from NC and send it to MD.Over 1 1/2 years later Bridgecrest has still not sent the title to the Maryland MVA and as such I am unable to renew my registration in MD. I am now paying for a car I can not legally drive. I have spent over a year trying to get this resolved through both Carvanas and Bridgecrests customer service without any resolution.I will never make this mistake again.

Will never use again. Ordered a truck on June 27th. Delivery was scheduled for July 6th. 5 hours before delivery I received a message that delivery was delayed and I needed to reschedule. The earliest day that was open was nearly a week later on July 11th. I was confused because the night before I received a text saying the car was enroute for delivery . I called thinking I could go and pick the car up because I searched for it near my location. I was told that they could not do this and I would need to wait to pick it up. When I agreed to just wait until the 11th, I was then told there were no more time on that day and would now have to wait until the 13th. I canceled my order and decided to go to a dealership. There was no benefit in using this service. I completed all the paperwork and insurance changes prior to the sale in adhering to Carvana’s guidelines, only to have to go back and change this because they could not fulfill the delivery agreement. Very disappointed in this company and their customer service. I spoke with a carvana advocate prior to canceling sale. I asked to speak with a team leader and was told they would return the phone call within 24 hours. I cannot emphasize this enough. I will never use them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone unless you don’t mind rescheduling your life so you can finally get the car when they can finally deliver it. The advertisement on their website that says get your car the next day is very misleading.

Pretty good experience so far. Biggest problem is that for EV vehicles they dont disclose the battery capacity. Since this is a huge deal in used EVs and they seem meticulous in documenting most other things Im not sure why the omission. I ended up with an EV with below average capacity left. Had I known the true state of the battery I may have passed on choosing that particular car.

If I could give 10 stars, I would!Like many, I was apprehensive about shopping for a car online. But after visiting numerous dealerships in the area, with no success (and in some cases outright fraud), here I was.From start to finish I was blown away. Their selection of vehicles, the pictures / details they provided, and their customer service is impeccable. The online application process was simple and completing the paperwork followed suit.Being new to this process, I called in several times to speak with someone for clarification. Their response was prompt and they treated me like I was their only customer (something that is rare these days).They delivered my car to my place of work, let me drive it around for a bit, and made sure I was happy with everything. The delivery person was great, masked up, and we both did our due diligence with social distancing.I had to visit their facility to get my car inspected as that was the ONE thing that was accidentally overlooked. But I didnt mind ... gave me a chance to drive it and see their car vending machine in person. Took only a few minutes and I was out the door.I cannot tell enough people about my positive experience and will be using them for future purchases.Thank you to each and every person (both locally and around the country) who helped me through this process. You guys are the BEST! 👏

Purchased a 2015 Nissan from Carvana with under 100k miles. The car was advertised as Accident Free, Inspected, and only two minor chips were noted online. When I received the car The reality of the situation was:-There were closer to 8-10 scratches that were more severe than the two noted in the listing.-The car had clearly been in a front end collision. The hood no longer lined up correctly, and was repainted. My mechanic said looking at it for 2 minutes it was obvious it had been in a front end collision.-2 interior panels that cover the bottom of the door were loosely sitting there with all of the plastic clips broken that kept them into place. Someone had installed aftermarket comments, ran the wire, and broken them.-The battery was severely corroded. there was rust and corrosion sediment all over the terminal. It was super obvious the second you opened the hood.- The car was missing options that the listing clearly stated it came with.I know next to nothing about cars and it took me maybe 5 minutes of inspecting the car to notice all of these items. Theyre 150 Point Inspection did not catch any of these. I dont know how/if those inspections are done but you should not let that give you any confidence in the quality of the vehicle.The fact of the matter is purchasing a car online seemed crazy, and caravans solution to this by providing detailed history, photos, inspections, and noted imperfections seemed like a great idea. In my case every one of those solutions failed and I ended up returning my car immediately. I believe their business model relies on people having invested too much time in the acquisition of the car to actually go through with the return. I personally returned mine after 1 day and will not be using them again.

Im 2hrs from Raleigh thought about going to use the vending machine instead of having it shipped to me, I have been saving up to pay cash or atleast pay most of the price of a car for 3yrs saved $15,000 so far, planned to buy something before the end of this year. This company is an absolute joke. They offered to buy my truck from me. I have been uploading documents now for a week that they claim they need and they keep claiming they need more even though they have what they need. When I try to call to tell them and confirm, I am on hold for hours on end and then get hung up on. At this point I am willing to take less money elsewhere. They are absolutely useless unless you are buying from them. Then you get immediate assistance. Sell to Vroom, Carmax or anyone else.

Save yourself a huge hassle and headache and stay away. The first car we tried to buy they had a delivery issue with. My husband the everlasting optimist tried again in about a week, to surprise me. After a few days with it we decided to exchange it for a more expensive car that was more my speed. Carvana claims you can exchange it up to 7 days. Let me tell you, thats not actually true. I called in and spent 45 minutes on and off of hold through the process and they disconnected my call. I called back, sat on hold again, and was disconnected again. I tried reaching someone in the chat box, they said they were busy, and to call. I asked for an email address since my call kept getting disconnected. The chat response was to, yep, you guessed it, CALL. I called for a THIRD time and now going on 2 hours of calling them, sit on hold for another 15 minutes. When I finally reach someone I tell him what was happening with the exchange, and if they are not going to actually exchange the car for the other car, then come pick the first car up, because I cant do business with someone who makes it impossible to reach them. God forbid anyone have to use that 100 day warranty, it would be completely worthless since they can just disconnect you for their own convenience of not dealing with anything. I wonder how difficult its going to be to get our $5000 down payment back? Probably another nightmare. Save yourself! RUN!

We had a terrible experience with Carvana. If you have your own financing, be prepared to do a ton of work. My husband had to take the day off to deal with it. Since they have no dealer fees you end up bearing that burden. Then, dont expect your car as soon as tomorrow. After the purchase we were told the car would be here in 2 weeks. Ok, two people with jobs get by for two weeks with one car. Two weeks goes by and we get a message that our delivery has been delayed. 2 hours? Nope. 2 DAYS. The convenience of Carvana is limited to the initial point and click experience. After that, its a disaster.

Dont waste your time like I did. If youre selling your car to Carvana and it has a cosigner; make sure you bring the co-signer. Never was this bought up.They couldnt even offer any e-signature document I could send my co-signer via email to sign. You know, the same kind of e-documents they make us sign online. I was sched to pick up my car Saturday From Carvana. I got a call Saturday saying I would not be able to take my car home due to the battery have been disconnected and then having to wait until the light went off on the car. I was very upset because I drove 2 hours just to pick it up. I went to Carvana and spoke with Desmond and he gave me details on what was going on and told me that he would get up Sunday and make sure my car is ready for me even if he had to deliver it to my home himself.And I must say Desmond was amazing he did what he said he was going to do and I am so happy. I left Sunday morning with my 2015 Chevrolet Sonic and i am loving it. Desmond and Lauren were both amazing. And I really appreciate them both. Desmond definitely worked hard to make sure I left with my car. Thank you

Not a specific Raleigh issue, but a national Carvana issue. Horrendous post sale service. It took 5 months post sale to receive my license plate and registration. It took 4 temporary license plates and every time one expired it took an hour on the phone with customer service to get a new one. They could never tell me the status of the registration because it goes through a 3rd party vendor. After all the hassle they delivered the plate to the wrong address and I had to call and deal directly with the DMV. Excellent delivery and quality with the car received. Everything else was horrific and I will never purchase another car from Carvana again.

Carvana offers a referral in certain states but dont hold your breath getting it. We referred a family member and he bought a car in February. We were told wed receive $100 in about 10 days after the buyers purchase was made (plus the 7 day return policy). Carvana claims they sent the referral fee it but we havent received it. 3 calls later (April, May and now June) and way too much time on the phone, were still waiting.Update: After 5 calls we finally receive the referral money. I’ve nudged the rating to 3 stars but it really shouldn’t take that kind of effort.

Well I wish I could recommend Carvana to people but after the disaster I’m dealing with with them now I can’t..... they gave my tags to someone else and expect me to not be upset because some complete stranger has tags registered to me on their vehicle right now... any red light cameras they run or tolls they take are all going to fall on me for god knows how long until they can get the tags back (at the earliest 3 to 5 business days I’m being told). It’s a disaster that could have serious legal consequences that would fall on me because of their negligence. I really don’t recommend Carvana at all, not unless you are ok with the possibility of getting in trouble with the law for fictitious tags, or having tickets and tolls charged to you when you didn’t have anything to do with it! #carvana #raleighnc #negligence

I purchased my second vehicle 8/27/20 and thought it would be a great experience like the first. Boy was I wrong. I have been riding around on temp tags since the date of purchase. They were supposed to transfer my plates from my trade in to my new car. Sent them the registration and the sales rep even to a picture of the registration. Well first temp tag expired and I was told it was because Covid. Second temp tag expired and I was told because of a paperwork issue. Now I received a letter from North Carolina dept of motor vehicle stating that I now have a civil penalty due to not having insurance on my trade in. Called Carvana and was told now that they cant process my paperwork for my car because of the Civil penalty and to turn my plates in. So now because of the incompetence of this horrible company I lose out on the money I paid out on my plates for the trade in and I have to pay the fine so they can process the paperwork. WOW REALLY! Carvana can sure sell you the car but beyond that they cant do anything. I will never purchase another vehicle from them and I will tell everyone to be smart and buy a vehicle from reputable company.

The customer service and prices are great, I believe the interior detail crew could slow down and pay a little closer attention.Update: The above info is from the first car we tried, a Lincoln MKZ, which was dirty, smelled a little like a smokers car, and wasnt quite what we were looking for so we sent it back (and they didnt even snarl at us!).We went through a few others before finding our recent car, 2016 Buick Lacrosse, which is AWESOME! When they called us the day before, I told them what happened last time and asked them to PLEASE ensure this car was clean and smelled nice, which they did a great job at doing. Thanks Clay!!

Terrible experience. I was notified that my car wouldnt be delivered 10 minutes before my scheduled delivery and received no assistance or accommodation for their mistake. I was on hold for an hour and a half before I could even speak to a person to reschedule delivery time. They refused to work around my schedule, and my only option was for the car to be delivered during work. No accommodation was made for the delay whatsoever, they refused to compensate by refunding any amount of shipping, and were incredibly rude. I will never use carvana again and will be letting my friends know not to trust them.

Car purchased had hidden damage and had a previous accident tried to paint over and cover up. The repair place wont even touch it because the entire car will need to be repainted. ADDITION: I have been in touch with silver rock as suggested and the one company they had would not touch the car because of the previous paint job that was done incorrectly. The second will never return a call. This is outright deceptive business practices and lying about the types of vehicles you are selling. In addition I have tried to call Carvana 3 times and was put on hold for over 40 minutes and then the call dropped. Every time I called back I was put on hold with no-one picking up!

Edit: The car finally was delivered today, after receiving another phone call yesterday stating they were unsure if it would be delivered today. The car looks as promised and was detailed before arrival.My husband purchased a car and was told it would be delivered today. The lady even called him yesterday to confirm it would be delivered at 6:30 this evening. My husband took half a day off from work and when he got home, he received a text message and a phone call saying that the car wont be ready until next Saturday. Apparently it was listed too soon on the website and wasnt ready for sale. The car is supposed to be coming from Florida and you mean to tell me that Carvana just now realizes, four hours before delivery that the car isnt even in this state??? That is HORRIBLE business ethics.I will update this review as appropriate, if the car actually shows up. I am seriously ticked off.

Very convenient! I got offers at a couple of places for my car and they seemed fair. I was going to get a price at the CarMax as well, but after sitting in their under construction lobby forever, I gave up and left. I thought Id try Carvana for one last bid, fully expecting to sell to a dealership. Carvanas bid was higher, so of course I went with them.The process was really convenient. I just had foot surgery, so the fact that they came to my house, brought me the papers to sign, and let me upload the documents they needed from me just made it so easy. The gentleman, Kevin, came today and was in and out in less than 15 minutes and had a check at the ready for me. Unbelievably easy and fun experience. No sitting for hours waiting for the back and forth negotiations and and the grueling process of paperwork. You literally go online, pick out your car, and a couple of questions later your approved for a loan. We chose to pick up our car in Raleigh rather than paying for a delivery. I’m glad we did. I have had my Suburban for a week and I am very happy so far. I have drove it around 700 miles on a trip to Florida and all is good. I was very skeptical about buying a car online but figured I had nothing to lose but a little time with the 7 day money back guarantee.I have to admit it was the easiest car I have ever bought. I always hated dealing with a car salesman. To much talk talk talk. Anyway I was in and out of Carvana in less time than it takes to get a drink at a busy Starbucks it was very simple and I was done in less than 10 minutes. Again I have only had the car for a week and I am happy so far. I would recommend buying a car here unless you like to haggle with salesman this is the way to go. First of all, the car itself is fine so far. I drove from NC to RI just fine. My issues were with the car not being thoroughly cleaned before pickup (smudges on inside of windshield and windows that caused difficulty seeing while driving, personal items left in the car during a pandemic, gunk that was a brownish red sticky substance on the inside of the car by the window, and I was also given a dead extra key.) The customer service was fine and the paperwork etc was straight forward.

Everything was e-signature, smooth, and efficient. I showed up at Carvana Raleigh and was out the door within 10 minutes. Just a few signatures and thats it. Ultra-smooth, fast, and very positive experience. I have previously bought a used car at a traditional dealership and the experience was terrible. Picked up my new Armada just fine. I could see them cleaning it when I arrived which was a little concerning it would be rushed.When i got him and really looked through i found troubling things. A bugle chip under the seat, a random piece of fried food in a back seat, and some grime/dirt that wiped off with my finger.The worst find thought was a mask. A dirty used mask left by someone. Please hire someone who can actually detail a car because this is unacceptable.

I had a fairly decent experience...But when my mother got her car the brakes were locked up & had to be worked on the day after she got the vehicle. Not to mention my mother & myself referred my sister & they have done nothing but wrong: called her The Day Before the car was due to her & claimed it was damaged in transit to her (although it was still listed on the webpage) Then said they could not do anything but compensate a small amount of money & deliver it a month later... We’ll here the month later is & within 4hrs my sister was assured nothing had changed & to verify her identity, after that call she was informed that she would NOT BE receiving the car for another week... WAIT EXCUSE ME???!!! From my understanding this is Not helping people within the pandemic pulling problems like this when things are already on a crunch had i known how they would treat my sister I would have never referred her

When we try to contact Carvana about the “after sale” damage report, no one wants to return the calls or respond to the submitted photos. Horrible, not sure where to even start.Car was delayed in shipping because one of their employees put it on the wrong truck, i was notified this the morning of delivery day. This results in me having to pay out of pocket for rental, insurance, and property tax as well as the car arriving later than expected. After many hours of anguish I finally got through to someone who was competent and I was cut a delay check (their policy) made me feel a bit better about the situation.Arrive to get car, yea well that extra load/unload onto transport caused massive damage on the car that was not brought to my attention until it was out of the vending machine. The gentleman helping me at the location was good at documenting it, however yet another massive curveball.I bought the car 6 days ago, the past 6 days have consisted of me talking to Silverock(carvanas warranty company), carvana, the mechanical shop to fix the brakes they did not, and the body shop to fix the damage they did to the vehicle and paying over 600$ out of pocket.This company will take your hard earned money, create more work for you, and waste your time. Honestly this experience has been abysmal. I will never return and will truthfully share my experience with my following.Also, good luck trying to talk to anyone in management. Apparently, they are all managers and there are no numbers/emails to speak with someone higher up who can actually solve problems.Oh, also dont fall for the façade that they are giving you good customer service by addressing issues post sale. IF THEY DID IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME THERE WOULDNT BE ANY POST OP RIGHT :)

Although I didnt have an unpleasant experience with the actual purchase, they obviously do not care about actually ensuring the quality of all parts on the vehicles they sell. I bought a car less than a month ago. TWO tires blew out yesterday. Got to a shop, all four tires were completely destroyed from dry rot and had to be replaced. I only checked for tread depth when I received the car, I had no idea how to tell if dry rot was an issue. There is no logical explanation for stating on the inspection the tires were in good condition, only to have them blow out less than a month later because they were rotted out.

BE CAREFUL! The folks at Carvana are very nice and the service is good. Unfortunately, they sold me a car that was heavily damaged on the front end. Two independent mechanics spotted the issues within 15 minutes. How could Carvana have done a 150 point inspection and not noticed whole pieces of the undercarriage protector missing? Once I got it home, I noticed the car was making very noticeable popping sounds in the front end when reversing slowly and turning the wheel fully (not something I did in the quick test drive before signing the contract). The mechanics dont know if the axles need replacing or its the transmission. Either way, they believe it was in some sort of collision or run off the road. Axles and transmission should not be replaced after 39k miles. While Carvana would cover the costs of repairs, the car has been abused and is too risky to keep. I feel that Carvana simply did not inspect this car because the issues were too obvious to miss. Very disappointed in what I hoped was going to be the way I buy all my cars moving forward. Awesome service experience and good pricing but they really failed on this one. It felt deceptive.

At first glance Carvana was fantastic, they drove to my house, dropped off a new car, and took my used car. I took the Carvana car to a local dealer for inspection and found out the car had body work done and had been re-clear coated - even the back window was clear coated! Carfax didnt have this listed, but Im surprised the Carvana inspection process did not pick this up. (Issue #1)I returned the Carvana vehicle, but still wanted to sell them my old car. Due to an issue with how they processed the return the check for my car took an extra day to process. (Issue #2)Meanwhile, I was also supposed to get re-reimbursed for the difference between my trade in and the Carvana car. I returned the Carvana car on Wednesday, and according to the Raleigh Manager it was supposed to be refunded in my account by Friday. It is now the next Monday and I still have not received the funds, and I called the main Carvana line today and it wasnt even processed until Friday. I am supposed to get the funds on Tuesday. Almost 1 week to direct deposit money back into my account? Really? (Issue #3)If you dont return the car, Im sure this process is easy. But if you do, make sure you dont need your money back fast, because they take their time and make plenty of mistakes along the way. They get 2 stars rather than 1 since I did receive a good value on my trade in.

We sold our car through Carvana and it was hands down the most smooth and efficient process ever. We filled out all of our paperwork online. Our paperwork was processed and completed in less than a day. Our car was was picked up at our house at the schedule time. Everything was labeled and already printed out. The Carvana representative Robert Tatum was so nice and right on time. Made sure we had copies of everything we needed. Once he filed the paperwork at the office he sent us our copies the same day. This was the first time we have gone through Carvan and it won’t be the last. Felt confident and very happy with our decision. The quote online was exactly what they gave us! Well deserved 5 stars!

I’d love to say my experience was great, but it was not. If buying a car to later find out you have to come back to the vending machine to correct a mistake they made, then spending countless time on the phone, emails, and in the line at the DMV is your thing...then this is the place to purchase a car. The customer service is sub par, depending on who answers the phone. I wanted to enjoy this process but the lack of staff that has any idea of how to process paperwork combined with the lack of respect for a persons time just ruined it for me. The ending product was nice just the time and effort spent on our end to resolve the issues was not worth the trouble. I didn’t ask for anything more than a hey sorry about that, but what I got was a $15 gift card and a fee refunded to me that was from a mistake that I didn’t create. I also asked for someone to talk to me about my issues and I got nothing in response, which I fully expected. So when my friends, family, co workers, and the customers I talk to every single day ask me about buying a car, I tell them to stick to the traditional car buying experience, at least when mistakes are made people actually care about correcting them. I brought my 2014 Equinox last month. I worked with the customer advocate on the phone to handle transfer of the funds from my account. I understand that the customer advocate verifying the funds needs to call the bank but it would offer equal footing for the customer to hear the conversion right from the dial tone to initiating/verifying the funds. The delivery advocate called to confirm the delivery time and delivered the vehicle has promised to my home. The delivery advocates gave me a gift card and some Carvana trinkets, which was very nice. The vehicle was delivered clean. I did notice a scratch that was not disclosed on the vehicle doing my 360 degree review. I also took the vehicle to a mechanic to make sure all was well and the mechanic identified a few items. The Carvana team was willing to work with me through the items brought up from my mechanic before the 7 day expired. I worked with the Carvana via telephone and mostly email. I was really impressed because the same Customer advocate followed through with me and was always on top of making sure I knew what was going on to resolve items identified. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about purchasing a vehicle on-line but gave it a try. I am glad that I did!! This was the best buying experience ever for me over the last 30 years

My sister was trying to get a car they told her to come pick it up and when she got there they had a stick shift when she ordered an automatic, so she had to pick a different car. It took another week to get the new call she called customer service 3 times to make sure they were sending the right car and was assured it was automatic. We go to pick the car up and again its a stick shift and all we got was a sorry. WORST SERVICE EVER

Honestly changed the way I will purchase a car in the future. Trade in process was straight forward with no hassle. We picked up our first car at the vending machine and it was nice but after a couple of days we decided to try the swap process. No questions asked and a simple phone call our next vehicle was in route. Picked up the 2nd car and it was perfect and exactly what we wanted.
