Great friendly local gaming store. They have a huge selection of fantasy miniatures, board games, cards, supplement books, accessories, and collectibles. They do have private spaces to reserve for table top and roleplaying groups, but these are currently closed due to public health concerns, which is very unfortunate but I support 100%.If youre interested in roleplaying games, tabletop games, board games, comics, or card games, drop by and see everything they have. Its definitely worth your time and feels good to support your local gaming store!

These guys over at event horizon games were extremely friendlyas well as very helpful. I have no idea how to play Pokemon or any of those other card game but they were very patient in explaining certain aspects to me. They both buy and sell a great many board games as well as card games. Unbelievably friendly staff!

Im particularly impressed by their collection of Parhfinder adventure series, which can be a great way to put together a whole campaign. And if you do pick up an adventure, you can reserve a table to play it at while you are checking out!

An absolutely amazing gaming store for cards, board games, and D&D alike. I have recently just got back into Magic the Gathering and the customer service here was tremendous. The employees are down to earth and love to keep conversation. The enviroment within the store itself is also very homey.

Overall great shop. Lots of variety from magic to Armada. While the selection of bulk or cheaper cards is good its not catalogued. Asides from that the staff is friendly and the players are all enjoyable to be around with great prices.

Great local game store with lots to offer! There are tournaments for Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering, as well as regular tabletop games going on all the time. Fun atmosphere with lots of books and games on shelves all the way to the ceiling.

I love the selection they have here from Board games to Warhammer. Also the gaming sections are nice and while I dont use them personally a lot of people do and it seems effective.

Has the perfect blend of Im at home relaxing with friends feeling and but this can be rowdy and exciting too if thats what I want today feeling. The best part is either how its open and not stuffy but not too big and impersonal OR the super nice staff. Ive been to every game store in the triangle and this one is my favorite for magic or old obscure rpg books :)

I have only visited this store once, but I enjoyed it. There is a section with a number of tables for gaming, as well as snacks for long-term gaming adventures. They have various board games for sale, as well as miniatures (painted and unpainted) and dice. The staff was very friendly. They also have a used book section; they even had some D&D 4e book, which was thrilling for me as thats what I currently play.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY POKÉMON CARD PACKS FROM THIS STORE!!!!!!!!!! I have had multiple experiences of purchasing packs that were obviously FELT for from the booster box for rarity.This store SCAMS it’s customers because they only sell you non rare packs!!!!!! The employees feel for the cards and have even TAUGHT ME HOW TO DO IT.Absolutely never purchase them from this store OR MAGIC PACKS because I’m sure they can do the same thing and only sell you non foil packs.This is an absolute disgrace and you should be ashamed of your employees and your store.

The store layout has changed a little since they first open. They have a great inventory of board games and comic books. They now have a small manga section as well. Staff is always friendly.

Very impressive selection of games and gaming miniatures! The store regularly runs tournaments for various card games and other tabletop games. They even have rooms available to rent to use for D&D sessions or any other games. Definitely worth checking out if youre looking for any kind of tabletop game supplies.

I dont know if the woman who was running the register today owns the place but she was absolutley the most rude person. There is a reason five different people including myaelf ending up sitting their things on the counter and leaving. Go anywhere else than this place please.

One of my favorite places to go for fun and splurging on cards and comics. Very friendly and welcoming staff and manager, very gracious to new players of games, and such a good array of rpg books, comics, miniatures and accessories. My only gripe is the kinda small amount of sealed MTG sets but I know it can be very expensive to stock and Ive never felt like they didnt have enough for my convenience.

I initially gave Event Horizon a 3-star mostly because the customer service had been pretty poor. In the past I had several issues with having to pay to reserve a table and not having the table. The services has improved since. The only reason I dont give them a 5-star is because It seems like the quality of service is highly dependent on who is working that day.

Awesome! I went to my first MTG draft here recently. I was nervous as Im a new player and can be shy but the staff and other players were welcoming and helpful. Im really excited to go back.

One of the most welcoming and friendly places to hang out, play games, and read comics. The staff is polite and knowledgeable. The prices are fair and the selection is amazing. They have 3 private rooms that can be reserved for a small fee and of course you can use one first come first serve unless reserved.

Good buy back program for singles of trading cards, an very fair prices. The people that work there are very welcoming and nice. Big play spaces, perfect for just about any game. What is keeping the store from a perfect 5 is that the storefronts layout is very difficult to navigate. Where certain things are is a bit confusing and I felt lost trying to find specific games or game components. The aisles dont flow or have very good rhyme or reason behind thing. Board games and small box games were tucked away in the back, but they were in alphabetical order. The selection on a lot of things (Save for t-shirts(?) and collectable nick-knacks) were lacking and they had a lot of expansions and not a lot of the base game for board games. Dont get me wrong, I really like this place and if I could give it a 4.5 then I would, but with the products being hard to locate I cant give it that perfect score.

Staff is friendly, but unfortunately the management is awful and unprofessional; they pay their workers the federal minimum wage in 2019. I would never recommend going to this store. Prize payouts for events are also awful. I would recommend going to a store that fairly compensates their employees and actually creates a friendly environment for gaming.

The owner and staff are fantastic. They are every helpful and knowledgeable. They have been very patient with my 5 year old, and helping him build a Pokemon deck. We have made this place our go to card shop.

Went here for the first time yesterday. Nice place with a great selection and super friendly and helpful staff. Impressed by all the varied types of gaming tables and the fact they have a rewards program.

Please dont bring your children here. There is at least one sex offender that the owners openly welcome but I wouldnt be surprised if there were more. There are better card shops that dont tolerate that stuff and have better prices anyway.

Im not a regular here, but I stop in every couple of months. Theyre always helpful and have a good mix of games available. Last time I was in, they told me they offer a discount to first responders and military, which I appreciate a lot.

I stumbled upon this store almost by accident while looking for a place for my kids to play in Pokemon leagues. Its a great store, and we go often...and, truthfully, I swing by whenever were in the area to pick up a few things for my hobbies.I wish they had a larger variety of WH40K sets, but I can always special order when needed.They sometimes have store-wide POGO offers, so call ahead and plan to spent time and money here.Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and events are run well.

Just started my interest in comics about a week ago and the staff helped me as well as they could to help me find comics I would like. I have been very satisfied and have gone there Daily. The prices there are FANTASTIC. The prices are about 1/3 of what you would find on Amazon. They also have many other things than just comics. So if your into RPG or games played on boards this is your place. Again, awesome prices!

Great selection of all things geeky, but with that comes a cost. Jack-of-All-Trades and Master-of-None. If the one guy who knows Magic isnt there and you have a question about it, the staff just isnt that helpful. Uniformed and not passionate about their products. Also, higher prices than most Local Gaming Stores. Come here to play, but buy elsewhere.

I went there to find a game and staff there was really kind to introduce me all the differences in the versions, and they also give me detailed introduction for the possible recommendation based on what I played and I liked. They told me they also have rental service so I can rent a game home to try with my friends! This is a really friendly board game store, I will definitely recommend.

The place has a good vibe and great collection of singles (my favorite way to buy cards) but they offer less than half the market value of cards in store credit - even less than that if you want cash. I prefer to support local but there is no reason for me not to sell my cards online.

Nice game store with a ton of merchandise and tables. There are a variety of tables, two semi-private rooms and even an area with couches and such. One of the cooler aspects for my use is that they have a ton of terrain in the back you can use, which is awesome while playing D&D. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, there are a good variety of snacks available at a good price, and the atmosphere is welcoming. My group games there a couple of times a month and its always been a good experience with the store. Clean facilities, multiple bathrooms.

My wife and I care in with our twin two year olds and had to leave when they (my kids) started to get upset but the staff never seemed to have any issue with such young children being there. Nice selection of board games. It is the only place I go to for my board games in North Carolina. Nice dice selection for roleplaying games. I could go broke there. I worked at a game store for years and this is the only other store I would give five stars to. Being able to run FNM and still have other events going and no long lines at the register is only one example of well this store is managed and how much the employees care.

I dont know about the location, but their website looks like it hasnt been updated in a long time, and their forum needs mods taking care of it. Things about prostitutes, horse sex, asian websites for handbags, and all sorts of stuff, yet nothing really related to their shop. It probably started as a good idea, but now they either need to get rid of it, or actually take care of it.I might still check the store out, but the site has me worried their store might be in the same type of state.

Its my fault for not giving the extra star. It needs my full experience, I went for an event and didnt browse the store. I will try and visit at a near future and change my rating. I gave a 4 because the staff makes you feel like family thats always a plus for me when I visit places for the first time.

Really cool stuff a bit pricey but you should know that going into a game store. The product is for the most part spot on a few things arent marked but if you ask the right employee they should help. Overall though most store like this the experience really comes down to the employees and I can say out of the two there one was extremely nice, respectful, and helpful, but I can say that discription did not fit his peer. I didnt meet the rest of the employees so I cant say anything about them, but I would say this store was worth checking out and Ill be returning next time Im in raleigh.
