My kids call this place “Comics Heaven,” full of collectors items and amazing collection of DC, Marvel, and manga comics. Indeed, this is the ultimate one in the Triangle. I grew up with those wonderful pieces of superhero arts and stories. This place evokes good wonderful memories for me as a child.

This Awesome and Amazing Location has soo much for all to see and take home to admire and ENJOY! The Staff are Friendly, Knowledgeable and Very Easy on the EYE!! This location is a MUST SEE destination for any and all Proud GEEKS!!!!

I just had a fantastic experience at the store today. The customer service was absolutely on point. I visited the store on Capital Boulevard the other day, and had an equally pleasant experience. Im so happy that the world of comics is still so popular. Clean, nice staff, cool layout with the comic boxes in back and the new released comics in the front. I love the special cases in the front near the register that gives you a glimpse of some seriously nice comic first appearances!

Staff is super friendly and helpful. They took the time to look for things not on the shelves. The selection of new figures and the collection of older items is very impressive. The comics are great and have a wide selection of Golden Age and up. Take a few minutes and run by there.

Great service, really good People and good selection of comics. I saw the comment on board and bag that is not unusual. At midtown comics you have to buy 50 boards and bags they dont offer them as singles

The best comic shop in the RDU area! Staff is awesome and very knowledgeable. I do wish that whenever key issues come out they would order more and not limit 1 per person, but sometimes the FOC has to be in before its a known key, so it somewhat understandable. Great inventory otherwise, though, and also plenty of back issues.

A coworker recommended this place as his favorite in the area, and my few trips here have all been nice. Staff is consistently polite and knowledgeable and the main shop is kept super clean and organized. Ive begun following recommendations by one employee and its been a great jumping off point to get back into comics.

This comic shop looks small, but a lot like a Tardis, its bigger on the inside. The shop is bright, well stocked, and ran by really nice people. Highly recommended.

This is a nice and tidy comic book store. The new titles are backed and boarded. Everything is clutter free and even their back bins are well organised. They even have a kid friendly section in the front of the store.

Best comic store in the area. I love, love the atmosphere, and they always have deals going. When I went yesterday they had a buy 3 get one for anything with a spine. So manga, trades, fancy hardcover editions, you name it. Not to mention all the fandom accessories. If you are even a little bit of a comics geek, this is the place you need to be.

Comics, toys, and more. Friendly staff and open show room, with plenty of room to walk around. Plus, a back room full of older comics. If you are new, its not obvious that this room exists, so be sure to inquire about this room.

Ive made several online purchases with Ultimate Comics. Both times, the items were shipped out the next day, arrived on time, and very well packed. Most importantly, unlike some big name shops in New York, I actually received what I ordered. Look forward to ordering again.

Good collection of silver and bronze age. Prices are fair for the grades. Great variety of collectable items. Watch out for the discounts offered on silverage bought 10 books to get the 20% discount but only received 10%. I should have stuck with the original 5 books and not have gone for the 20% by picking 5 more.

One of the best, if not the best LCS in all the Triangle. Dan and Casey are rock stars that go above and beyond customer service without taking away the thrill of the hunt for back bin books. When you walk in you are greeted with a jovial and warm hello followed by their refreshing non-aggressive willingness to help you find anything you may need. Just a fantastic approach to retail and a very inviting atmosphere. I know if ever I need a back issue, action figure/statue, good comic knowledge or just a moment to be a kid again, this is the place to go. Hands down my favorite shop. Will always buy from them first.

I rarely have any trouble finding what I am looking for but the staff is always available if you cant. If its not there theyre happy to check their other locations or special order it for you in a timely manner. They also have made some great suggestions that have gotten me into a couple of titles that I wasnt familiar with but now love. Great selection of back issues and memorabilia too. I always hear great tunes while Im shopping as well.

The best of the three locations imo

The Cary location has TOP notch customer service. I love going in here. I have been to a ton of comic shops across the country because I travel a lot for work, and this store consistently always lands in the top 2%. The store is also super clean, extremely well organized and the books are always well taken care of. The back issue room is also a pleasure to peruse. It isnt a gigantic headache like some stores. It is well organized, and all the books are at hip height. I literally have 0 issues with this store, other than I dont have enough money to visit as often as I would like.The only reason I state the Cary location is because it is the one that I frequent and is closest to my home.

Great little comic store in Cary. Very franchise focused (Marvel, DC, etc.), but a huge selection from those including current and past issues. For the true fan, they offer a post box type set up, where they will hold your favorite new releases for you to come purchase as they are issued. This is a great plus for the true fan.Tons of variant covers, loads of art and figurines! They are well connected with the Cons in the area (Durham and Raleigh). If you have a comic need, Ultimate can help you find what you are looking for.

I love this place! Went to the one in Cary and there as so many comic options that i could spend hours just wandering trying to pick which to take home today.

Helpful, knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone who is into comics and all that goes with it.

Great place! Super friendly staff! Everything is bagged and boarded. Went there today and met the creators for Junior High Horrors! I picked up new books and needed a bag and board for a copy of Batman Damned variant I got online. They were super nice and sold me a magazine sized bag and board and saved me from having to buy the bags and boards in bulk. The two ladies at the counter were very friendly and nice! I really enjoyed my visit! Great place!

Havent been to a comic book store since I was a kid. I know there are comic book people and that is certainly not me. I was just looking to browse some comics with my kids and see what the scene/hobby is all about now. Well it was a really fun and inviting place to just browse and explore. My kids were super excited about the selection and now want to follow more comics than I can afford. The lady who rang us up was also really helpful in providing more info about the comics we did get and some upcoming events. In summary, it was great and we will definitely be back soon.

Dont get a chance to visit as often as I would like. Any time I do make it in, the staff is always friendly and helpful. They do not seem too concerned about the kids looking at all the awesome stuff they have either. I am a veteran collector, part of the comic experience is being able to touch your favorite Superhero (or villain). The staff here seems to get that. As long as I live in the area, this will be my spot for comics.

I was getting a much bigger discount at another store but decided to switch to UCC and I have never regretted it! Everybody there is way beyond incredible with knowledge, assistance and super friendly. The first time I spoke with Siena I fell madly in love with her and made another great friend. She is a gold star Manager and the rest of the staff shine as well. I is such a pleasure to find a store where everyone is as into comics as much as I have been since first reading its clobbering time in 1968. As long as I live in this area Ill be there every Wednesday morning. PS They have extremely generous sales and cool events. Stan Lee would be very proud !!!

The store is beautiful and a fun place to go, but the prices compared to their competition (Capitol Comics, for example) are terrible. Capitol gives you 10% all new books even without a subscription. Ultimate bags and boards all their new books, then charges you full price for them AND charges you for the bag and board on top of it. Their subscription discount is less than Capitols everyday discount. Still, I give them 4 stars because it is by far the nicest looking store in the area with a much better selection of toys, statues, and the like.

I like this comic book store! Very chill and lots of cool stuff to read and check out. But they should add a t.v. in the back room where the comic books are where they can show us slide shows of events coming up!🤷‍♂️😏just an idea to think about🤙

Was greeted as soon as we walked in and the staff was extremely nice and very helpful in any questions and just making friendly conversation and recommend new reading material. Moose was very friendly and talked to the kids and me and my future wife as he had known us for a long time as long friends!! Very nice layout and very clean store!!! They even had a back room full of long boxes of back issues Ive been looking for and will definitely will come back every time for the wonderful experience of very helpful and friendly staff and selection. They got me again. They swore they fixed their marked up prices. I purchased some back issues this weekend, took them home and found out that Ultimate Comics Cary had doubled, and in one case, tripled, the value of a back issue. The staff is nice enough, but they cant help you when you over priced. They blamed the over pricing on a girl that worked there and assured me it had been fixed. Instead of fixing the issue on the spot, you get the run around. I called back the day after I made my purchase and was told only the manager could help me. The manager has rarely been available to those of us with day jobs and never returns your calls. Bottom line, if they have what you what, know exactly what is worth and ask an unavailable manager to adjust the price. OR, shop online and get a fair price for the item.
