This is the cutest shop with the sweetest staff. My friend recommended I visit and I was not disappointed. It is a little overwhelming, only because there are so many wonderful things to choose from and taste! They have so many spices, sauces, cookbooks, and other little items for your kitchen. They also have beautiful charcuterie boards. The staff are very friendly (dare I say even joyful) and helpful without being pushy or hovering. They ask how they can help, let you know about the store and offer samples, and then they step back and let you have your space to explore. If you enjoy cooking or are new to the craft, make sure to stop in and visit this perfect slice of spice heaven.

Just tried to shop at Savory Spice but found one clerk wearing a face shield while another arrogantly went maskless. When I reminded this female clerk there is a mask mandate, she acknowledged she chooses to not wear one in defiance of the mandate. I will not shop there because of this & hope the owner reprimands this employee who caused them to lose business today.Update: I was glad to see the response from the owner to my post and will return to Savory Spice in the hope that all clerks will now follow the mandate to keep them and customers safe.

Love this shop! They have every spice imaginable and are so helpful. Patty went above and beyond to help me find a gift for a friend. They do custom gift sets and you can choose your own spices. They were very prepared for customers returning to their store due to the Covid19. They have a great location located in Lafayette Village along with other great shops to visit. I highly recommend a visit to Savory Spice Shop Raleigh!

I have been visiting this store for several years. The customer service is superior. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I have unsuccessfully tried to stump them for recommendations for spices for unusual ingredients. I love the time they will take with you in selecting products--- especially helpful if you dont know the difference between the different spices. Sampling is a welcome way to understand those difference. We have found the products and service so outstanding, we regularly buy their products to give as house warming and other gifts. A great store to visit and to shop.

Best Spice Shop in North Carolina! Have everything imaginable and then some. The owners are top notch and know what products you will needs for all kinds of items from chili, veggies, seafood to baking. The spices will make any dish better! Love isnt a strong enough word. They have more than just spices as well, the recipe kits are great and the soups.

I tried Savory Spice Shop Raleighs Costal Cali Fennel Pollen Rub, as well as their Tikka Masala seasoning and was impressed. Their seasonings are freshly ground and you can smell and taste the difference. As a foodie I appreciate the variety as well as the quality of their products. I highly recommend checking them out!

Besides having an amazing array of spices, sauces and more, the customer service I received from both Cindy and Patty was not only genuine but sets the bar of what customer service is truly about. They were not pushy, very knowledgeable, patient and incredibly passionate about their store and products. I recommend coming here for all your spice needs.

I love this shop. The Vanilla Bean Sugar is BEYOND delicious, and I cant get enough of the Homestead Seasoning (I put that stuff on everything). I got a couple of new spices to try out yesterday too, and I am so excited. The Savory Spice employees always provide service with a smile and theyre happy to answer any questions or let you try/taste something new. The prices are reasonable. This place is the entire reason I go to Lafayette Village, but with such a cute location I tend to browse the other shops since Ive made the trip anyway.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful smells of spices! Large variety of blends to make a meatloaf, roast, sandwich spreads and dips. Also great finds like Ceylon & Indonesian Cinnamon, a whole section of just salt & pepper, & New Duck oil grilling spray. Could have spent an hour if I had more time. Next time I will!

I know, another 5 star review from Justin.... Of all the reviewers out there, this possibly cannot be a 5 star. Well trust me.... This place delivers the 5 star rating ten-fold. The moment you walk in the staff is ready to greet you with a smile and help you with whatever you may be looking for. You may think to yourself, why does a spice shop exist? The prices have got to be out of this world! Trust me when I say theyre not. What you find in the local stores is quite more expensive per ounce than what Savory offers up. Also the quality is beyond reproach. I cant find a better flavored dried basil than here. Even from my own garden, the flavor almost seems lost when added to broth or other foods. The distributors for this chain is out of this world good. When you try their products youll be amazed at the flavors that can come out in your food with just a little of their herbs/spices/etc... If youve got a need for a spice, swing in. I can say this for certain, their spices/herbs will brighten your dish any day of the week. Im always going to be a regular!

Smells so good the moment you walk in! Huge selection of nearly every type of spice/spice mix imaginable with some awesome house blends made on site as well. THE place to get that hard to find spice youve been looking for or one you may not have even known you needed but are so glad to have found. Good loyalty program too. They always have great options for every type of food or baking. We regularly use 6 different spices for chicken, fish, pork and beef. I usually end up picking up something new when I stop in to fill up my bottles and half the time I add the new spice to my rotation. I love that a lot of their options are salt free as well. I can even find a variety of cocoa and sugar for delicious drinks or to add to my tea or coffee.

This is a delightful culinary place with such a variety of traditional and unique spices, sauces, and seasonings. The people here are friendly and exceptionally helpful! If you need a suggestion on what to season a particular dish with, they are more than willing to provide carefully thought out suggestions based on your taste. Mount Massive steak seasoning is one of my favorites for steaks and burgers. And the Cherry Creek Seafood seasoning is hard to beat for excellent grilled, fried, and baked fish. Make sure to check out their exceptional variety of barbecue rubs and Seasonings.

Wonderful experience! Cindy and her husband were most helpful in making recommendations for the the Hungarian Goulash Im making (the smoked sweet paprika smells amazing!), and my chocolate cookie recipe (Dutch cocoa).I highly recommend checking them out if you enjoy cooking!

This place is really great. I had been struggling to find certain spices and herbs at the local grocery stores, even in the bulk spice sections. They were very helpful in showing me around the store and pointing out spices you can taste test. The prices are not cheap but no more than a grocery store. Bit you can also save a lot of time if you are looking for specific items. They also have a large variety of spice mixes for every situation. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful experience in the store today. Lesa was working the front counter and we had mentioned that it was my birthday. Since I was registered with the store, I got a free small spice jar. Herbs, spices, blends ground in-house weekly. You can smell the freshness when you walk in. And the best part? You can taste and sample most anything in the store! Cindy and Bob love what they do and can answer all your seasoning questions!

This shop is the main reason we travel to this shopping center. Walking in you are overwhelmed with amazing fresh spices. Everything I have made since shopping at Savory has been much more flavorful. The owners are two of the sweetest people as well. They remember my entire family and just about everything about us. The staff is also trained well. They are extremely helpful and knowledge of their products. This is the only place I will purchase my spices.

Having recently moved from Atlanta, we are a new customer at Savory Spice Shop. It is by far the best spice shop weve ever visited and are extremely pleased with the numerous spices we purchased there. A home cooks dream --- freshly ground spices; definitely fairly priced; many alternative measurements & packaging options; a tremendously varied and large selection of herbs and spices; and most importantly, an owner and staff extremely proud of their business and the products they offer. Good selection. The girl that was working when I was there in February couldnt answer questions or find anything. Maybe she was new and hadnt been trained. Good for unique gifts for a cook. Parking in the shopping center is not convenient. Finding stores can be frustrating, as it was for us.

This place really impresses. I got my kids to eat more salad with some of the spices their great staff recommended! Other than that I really like that they take time with you to explain all the ideas behind the spices, the original combinations and this place feels like the kind of stores I went in as a kid. They dont rush you. They want to educate you and inform. I have sent many friends, business associates and colleagues and I will keep doing it.

I do charcuterie, producing small batches of a range of sausages, smoked and cured meats. I am constantly trying new recipes and require small amounts of large variety of different herbs and spices, many are exotic and hard to find.... I have been able to get everything I need at Savory Spice Shop, and in quantities where I will not have unused bottles of spices laying around for months or more getting stale till needed again.

Friendly staff and a great assortment of spices. We have tried many types of spices against Penzeys, and found we preferred The Savory Spice Shop spices most of the time (we found these more fragrant and stronger). While Ill probably still go to Penzeys for one or two blends, Savory Spice Shop is the home base for my spices now.

Staff is eager to help, and just about everything can be bought bulk in whatever quantity you are looking for. Just about everything can be smelled/tasted too. Of course the do. They should. Theyre better quality, and youre paying for the culinary expertise of the staff. But you buy only what you need by the ounce, so you end up not wasting spices and herbs that go stale before you can use them. The shop also offers a boatload of recipes using the spices in the store and on the website. And as gifts for friends and family, you just cant beat ingredients that make food taste better and life just a bit spicier (badda-bing).Do I sound like a co-owner of the shop? Yeah, probably. The ONLY place to get any and all kinds of spices, from blends to the purest imports. I got lavender sugar, vietnamese cinnamon, yellow curry, spanish paprika...etc. Buy by the ounce and prices are very reasonable.
