About 4 months ago I purchased 3 of their large yellow bags of leveling soil. Be warned, after using it in my yard, weeds and barnyard grass began to come where I had put it. I was given the impression that it was treated for that. It has taken me about 2 months and a lot of hard work to get it almost under control. Having said that I had also purchased some of their sod. It was a little yellow when I first put it down but with a lot of watering its now beautiful and green.

We purchased and self installed sod from SuperSod on two occasions. In June, we took delivery of 2 BYBs (which is the greatest soil Ive ever seen in my life. Rich, dark. Almost completely filler free. Gorgeous) and 3 pallets of Zenith Zoysia. Jessie T. was incredible in support of all my questions. We followed their tutorial steps and it turned out beautifully.Just two weeks ago we ordered and installed 2 more BYBs and 3 pallets of Tall Fescue. It is literally the most beautiful grass Ive ever seen. Again, customer service- specifically Maria B- was fantastic. The delivery driver was great as well.Quick note: One of our BYBs was not topped off, so they provided 3 mini cubes as recompense. Also, I needed 180sq ft more sod so I purchased it and a nice gentleman helped me load it. Overall, this company is tip top.Two nits: 1. At the start of it all we paid for the consultation which was supposed to include a soil test. I was told they didnt do that anymore because of COVID lag times, however, I was still charged the full consult price 2. They have great tutorials online, but nothing that specifically addresses when its okay to spread additives on newly laid sod (they may exist but I cant find them).

I bought a BigYellowBag of Soil3 from Supersod. I placed the order through Amy Walence. Amy was very knowledgeable about the product and she listened carefully when I explained that the actual delivery might be a little unusual due to narrow winding roads and hills in our subdivision. Very pleasant, productive interaction. On the day of delivery the driver of the big truck, Howard, did a very competent job of parking his truck where it wouldnt block traffic while he use his tag to haul the BYB the last quarter mile or so. I am pleased with the service and attention to detail from end to end of the process. I will be very happy to use Supersod again.

The best place to buy sod

The customer service at Super-Sod is outstanding. Amy Walence was very helpful and patient answering all my questions and helping me determine the best sod for my lawn.

We recently had roughly 5000 sf of tall fescue installed. The five stars is for Shannon who was the lead and sold us the sod. Every company has a challenge, now and again, in meeting customer expectations. Lets face it, things happen. In our case the subcontractor for Super Sod did a horrible job with the install (huge gaps between pieces, did not roll, covered several pre-marked irrigation sprinkler heads with sod, and used pieces that should have been tossed aside as waste), left garbage from their breakfast and lunch littering our yard and lied about us telling them we did not want the extra pallet of sod that we had already paid for installed...(Not even a one star experience). Shannon however was immediately on top of things...She had the install manager come out who like the installers lacked customer focus. He was defensive from the start but then agreed that Shannons recommendations should be followed and about 1000 sf of sod replaced, the rest rolled, etc. Unfortunately that did not happen. The guys came out and replaced a handful of pieces and did not do what the install manager committed to doing, but instead did what he originally suggested which was not acceptable to Shannon or myself. (Again less than one star experience). But when things go from bad to worse as in this situation, how the customer is treated and how the company responds to the issue is where the rubber meets the road. Shannon was again immediately on this, got the problem installer and manager out of the way and brought in other people to correct the issues. She stayed through the entire process which is not her job but she wanted to make sure everything went smoothly, she even came out with compost and placed it in between pieces to make sure the sod was installed perfectly and to our satisfaction. Shannon represented Super Sod with such care and professionalism toward the customer she single handedly turned a very negative situation into a positive. I would absolutely use Super Sod again knowing that Shannon was handling things. In this day and age when it seems nothing goes according to plan, it is absolutely refreshing and encouraging to know that there are people like Shannon out there!!!

Love the grass but customer service from certain individuals is not very professional. We emailed pics and sent text and called with questions about our sod and was told every time to water the grass which is what we were doing. After further questions on instructions our emails and text went unanswered till this day, how unprofessional.

A great customer service experience working with Iris! She quickly addressed my concerns and after sending a few pictures, offered to replace my Soil3 cube. She arranged for a quick delivery of the new cube and removal of the existing one. I really like this product and am looking forward to my fall planting!

I was acquiring valuable information regarding fertilizing and Soil 3 applications for Tiftuf and common Bermuda via phone from Amy Walence when our call was dropped. Before I had an opportunity to call her back, Amy had emailed me apologizing for the disruption of our call along with two (2)attachments for with monthly treatment and rates of fertilizers. Amy is certainly a valuable asset to Super Sod and has definitely made another customer extremely satisfied and QUITE IMPRESSED.

I had a question regarding my Zenith Zoysia that was put down by a landscaper but bought at Supersod. I spoke to Amy at Supersod in Raleigh and she has been absolutely helpful. Not only helpful but polite and professional. I emailed pictures of my lawn and she was able to provide in depth information. Very knowledgeable. I called for quote on grass that I had previously planted in the lawn. Instead of selling me that sod, they informed me Id be throwing my money away. We have used Supersod a few times this year to replace some lawn at mine and my father in laws yard. They have always provided a great service to us. This has been highlighted recently when we called then to say a few of the sods they provided were not up to the usual high standard. Dustin immediatly ordered us replacement sods which we picked up the next day, free of charge. For almost a decade, Brad and the office staff have taken care of all my sod needs as a contractor in the Raleigh area. They protect me (and therefore MY customers) by not selling a product that is not of premium quality and condition. Weve had the full weather cycles of drought and floods, too hot and too cold, and these folks take care to ONLY produce and sell a premium product.From the office staff to the delivery drivers, these folks focus on customer service and satisfaction.

Ok so Id like to revise my first review of Super Sod. I was not pleased with the Sod I received at first but this is my first experience with Zoysia. Super Sod came out to my home & assured me the sod was in good condition & the lawn just needed a couple of seasons to get established & with the proper care it would come in nicely. Well its been two years & Im pleased that my lawn has definitely improved & Brad at Super Sod has been very responsive to my concerns, so I would definitely use them the next time I need sod.

Great place a bit more expensive than other sod vendors but you get what you pay for in sod

I have been buying supplies and some sod from Super Sod for awhile. Just a buyer heads up when you buy individual rolls you are paying double the cost of what it would be if you purchased by the pallet. It is nice to get as little or as much as needed but paying double the amount is a bit much. I asked if I could purchase a half pallet because that is all that’s needed, it would be cheaper to just buy the full pallet and throw the other half away in the way they price things. I’m giving two stars because they are usually pretty friendly and helpful but their pricing policies are not great. If looking for the same grass that super sod carries I would reach out to DMG turf in angier as they don’t upcharge you for buying a lesser amount.For reference price per roll is 8$.

I hired a contractor to install Zoysia sod. The contractor purchased the sod at Super Sod. After it was installed, I immediately noticed the proliferation of nut sedge throughout the sod. Also, the sod included 4 pieces that were bermuda, not zoysia. Ive had numerous discussions with the contractor, but he denies responsibility. He called a Super Sod rep to come to my property to look at the problem. When the rep arrived, I showed him all of the nut sedge and bermuda. He also denied responsibility, saying that they cannot guarantee that the sod is weed free. He left some herbicide and told me to have the contractor spray. We are several weeks out from that conversation, and the contractor still hasnt sprayed. The nut sedge has grown over one foot in some places and completely covers the front yard.I have placed sod twice before and had no problems with weeds. My past experience with nut sedge leads me to believe this will be an ongoing battle with no end in sight. I paid for sod because I wanted to avoid the headache of seeding and fighting weeds. I was afraid I inherited a worse problem that no one was willing to take responsibility for.After I published this review I was immediately contacted by Brad at Super Sod. He took the bull by the horns and assured me that they would take care of everything. Too bad my contractor wasnt as responsible. Brad agreed to provide a years contract to spray the sedge and nourish the grass. If the sedge is not eradicated, he agreed to replace the sod. Doesnt get better than that. I wish I had dealt directly with Super Sod and left the contractor out of it. But, alls well that ends well.

Bought a pallet of zoysia in early April while it was dormant. None of it lived, despite following instructions on watering. They replaced the entire pallet at no charge. I did have to pay labor costs again.
